Labor Day weekend marks the traditional end of Summer. That means that my favorite season, Fall, is almost here. It also means that the annual Fall Knapp Arcade Road Trip is rapidly approaching! Every year my arcade road trip partner in crime, Rob, and I hit the road to explore arcades across the country. This year we thought that we'd turn things up a notch and attempt to play and photograph a whopping 1,000 pinball machines in one trip! The planning is underway for the epic adventure. In the meantime, I've had a request for more Arcade Reports here on the website, so here you go. Last Saturday, Rob and I took the hour and a half trip to a relatively new arcade (opened this spring) in Langhorne, Pennsylvania - The Game Gallery. We originally had plans to go to a different arcade last weekend, but they fell through because it was rented out for a private event, so I hit the Internet to find a new destination. When I happened upon the Pinball Map listing for The Game Gallery, I said to myself "Wait a second...how does this place have almost every single new pinball machine out there and I've never been?!" So it instantly became our destination. There's not too many places out there where you can play brand new machines like Pinball Brothers Queen, Spooky Pinball Scooby-Doo, Jersey Jack The Godfather, Stern Pinball Foo Fighters, American Pinball's Galactic Tank Force and unusual older pins like Alvin G Al's Garage Band, Bally Medusa Sega Lost In Space. As an added bonus, almost all of the games that had official toppers and tons of mods installed on them, even the newish $2,000 Stern Mandalorian topper. All of the newer pinball machines played perfectly and were in great shape. A few of the older games had minor issues, but for the most part the lineup was in great working condition when we went. The machines are set to free play with passes of one hour, two hours or the full day available to purchase. Naturally Rob and I bought the full day passes and played until our arms nearly fell off lol. Below is a link to The Game Gallery's website, its current pinball lineup and a TON of pictures of my trip. What started out as probably 800 or so pictures got whittled down to 320 during the editing process. I included a couple hundred of them below, probably the most pinball and arcade pictures that I've ever shared in a single post.
