    • so for those of you who may not know who may not have seen um the theatre of magic here actually has soar and roms apologize if i am pronouncing that poorly um and so they've got some changes on it i don't even know where to start but one of the changes is that modes only take one hit to qualify so very exciting very exciting one of the major changes is that the left orbit is a very safe shot it can keep coming back to your right flipper and you hit the left again um and you can keep doing that until you spell theater and get a 50 million uh point hurry up and they've reduced that to ashes by making it a one shot and then you have to hit another meaningful shot to re-light it yeah there you go what are the other changes i have the feeling that there are some other changes that was the big one that was the one that stuck for me because i am that's a huge part of my strategy too everyone's strategy just got blitzed and it's fine okay now we're already on ball too so this is a two ball game everybody and player one so louise who is last year's winner is is already stepping up stronger to the plate

    so with the sauron roms because i didn't really play this game much in qualifying um what would you go for because since theater the theater hurry up is slightly uh slightly downgraded you know it's not it's not a bad thing to go for once once the arrow would relight for the left i would hit it again um but going for multiball was one of your strongest chances of success i think that makes sense stacking modes of course into a multiball especially since you only need to hit the trunk once uh you can choose the mode before you shoot the trunk with the uh left flipper and then you shoot shoot it into the trunk and it'll start your mode some are better than others if you're trying to go for multiball um it's also worth mentioning that this particular theater is extremely fast playing oh yeah very much so i had a couple air balls to left out lane drain oh i love it it's just price fun just from the strong flippers and how's the tilt set is it not terrible there's a there's a location theater um in columbus uh that you can breathe on heavy and it will tilt um but this one would allow you to whack it if you could good times yeah it's definitely not the worst tilt i've ever experienced in my life i'll give you that i always appreciate that tournament play it's a lot more fun when you can actually use nudging as a part of your strategy definitely yeah that's especially critical in a format like this anytime you have a ticket based system yeah uh you got to make the games far more playable than in a in a single game best game qualifier just wanted to say a big all because we had the locks lit and then drained and then the leftover lane got a ball left to take advantage yes let's get it multiple guys one multiple i'm excited 339 um mill for this game is not a terrible score already

    not for the one the way this is set up yeah your best bet on this particular theater is also to jiggle like mad once it gets into the out and in lanes because it's really been tending toward going all the way out uh it also looks like uh another modification or setting that they put into the game was the max convo combo value is um 10 million interesting yeah what is it typically do you know uh anywhere from eight to eighty million wow and four million steps uh combos are huge in this game which is the same thing with the theater letters is that you can make those combos but you could do the same thing with the ramps yeah so uh that's something i'm reading now just off tilt form so it's very i'm getting informed by the minute hey maybe someone on the chat also knows how it's pronounced and or knows more about how it works those particular rom edits well and this just seems like a feature adjustment rather than uh rom oh i thought it was a rom thing okay so it's the sauron feature adjustment yeah and so uh so right now um being in the i forget what this mode is called but when she's gonna get straight straight jackets yeah yeah yeah so were theater letters um you know more easily obtained it's a really great one to stack with that because any of the pop bumpers are gonna help score points in that she did good she did get her h now she's got to hit another meaningful shot to re light it oh gosh back into the left outlander the left outline just loves to just drag everything down with it it's been dragging a lot yeah it's hungry and the hocus pocus ball save on this game is that on the right or is it on the left i thought is it can you change that do you like how i actually don't know this game very well i don't play it often either and when i do i just go left orbit so the only thing the only thing i saw is that it gives you like the um it saves your ball if the hocus pocus misses i'm pretty sure exactly yeah yeah yeah which is pretty uh typical for papa dip games uh same thing with the the uh the genie uh tales of the arabian night you know with the shooting star it screws you over she's having a good run [Music] oh beautiful beautiful catch beautiful save

    just getting some good angles back up onto the flippers using nudging oh well the power guard against that yeah other than i suppose have tried to go for the shot a little bit differently but i don't think we saw that coming it's hard one thing that this tournament has done extremely well is uh keeping flippers snappy even on games that are really chronically prone to um becoming weak over time and so uh ball control can be incredibly even more valuable here just because things are so snappy and and things have been bounce passing really well and i've noticed that i've had to actually do a lot of double flipping to trap up in a cradle as opposed to just being able to hit a flipper up and stopping the ball because they're fast they are also very slow don't go down slow down

    now here's a question i've got as well did you guys think that the plunger on this game was a little bit hard sometimes at the start that was nice uh plunger was hard on this game yeah i had the feeling like you had to plunge a couple of times sometimes it just wasn't hard enough i don't know if i'm serious yeah it was a little bit weak there you go but it's all good i like that everyone's straight into a mode all right ball lock one i believe we've got what both the mode and balls getting locked here so louise can really expand her lead

    just so everybody's on the same page how do you uh light the locks on theater snow uh you spell magic how does one spell magic on the ramps which is a better clarification of why you would want to choose a ramp mode while you're working towards multiball because you're going to be scoring those points while wanting to shoot the ramp for your first multi-ball and i have not read the full setting changes i don't know if they changed this or not but you can actually just loop that center ramp uh five times spell magic and um and then that'll light your locks uh for your second multi-ball you do have to combo the ring offs so you're gonna have to make both of them back and forth

    and that is very much what you can expect to see from any of the games that are set to tournament level competition here at indisc it's not it's not your local bar theater it's not your local bar harlem globetrotters it's been intense yeah it's hard it's hard and the tilt's gonna be really tight it's um it's very hard very hard but it's good it's good fun good fun good to be here what's been the most interesting game for you ladies to play this uh this year uh so i i didn't play this bank correct so i was gonna ask you guys what was the most popular like what was the longest queue what uh what had the uh highest bar of entry good question i feel like prospector was always really busy which surprised me because it's an em but um it was really popular again as well yeah iron man of course who doesn't love iron man yeah yeah i mean everything's been pretty pretty busy i mean theater as well yeah let's just be honest everything everyone's playing everything yeah it was compared to other setups that i've seen it was rather even spread for a number i can say that uh grind lizard didn't get as much love high roller casino maybe maybe not as exciting oh okay prospector will be next to everybody it's very exciting i heard it was popular and this game i know the rule set up yes fairly well it's good good game it's funny you get into the mindset of whatever the best strategy is for that game as it tends to be in every location that you play in so for instance theater with the left orbit making the hurry up shot and uh um when that's all thrown to the wind because they've adjusted the settings absolutely so you feel like you know a game and then you come and you find out that your strategy is just out the door everybody just gotta go it's no longer valid and in disk has always been absolutely exceptional at posting all of the changes uh you might not have a lot of time but they are on both facebook and tilt forums so you can read all of the the custom mods any of the software settings and a lot of people a lot of tds don't even do that you know even when it's just a basic setting differently it's like oh yeah it's on hard lock oh okay so what does that mean the information exchange is astounding going on facebook and seeing the detailed layout explanation of all the different um adjustments on the games which i know even just as a td the amount of time that it takes to to organize and get that information out to the people who are coming to the tournament let alone remembering to stick it on a post-it before yeah festivities are underway a lot of effort goes into putting on this show and making an excellent an excellent time for everybody there's always huge improvements every single year how many years have you come snow this is only my second but after last year um i swear that this would be my always i love that be my number one how about for you daniel gosh it's been like three this is my third year or fourth year dad's like it's your fourth year i'm like i can't remember it's been too long too much university it's all crammed into my head i don't have enough room in my brain but it's good and um i think we're getting to prospect it very soon it's very exciting hey if anybody's on the uh um on the chat and would like to tell us whether or not they're considering joining us at in disc next year feel free to let us know jesse are you coming bringing the cleveland contingency well more of them i know i'm sorry cincinnati contingency i apologize but i know a lot of cleveland people showed up this year we need to get eric wartenberger here we need to get you here jesse and yes just to reply to the chat the prospector is very fast you're not wrong oh god you'll love it you will love the absolute riot that this game is and there's two ways it can go if you can get it up on a flipper and start making um start making the left orbit start making the spinners into the pops then you can have a lot of fun there have been a few games that people have played where it's just what you call it house balls hospital house ball house hospital over and over again oh you got five i know yes but when three of the five are houseballs well you had two what's a girl to do exactly play better play oh savage talking to myself here sorry i forgot about it

getting pop bumpers and then oh illuminati and then up and around into the roulette thing it's a bit um if you hit the pop bumpers enough times you can actually get multiple colors um multiple colors you can beat all colors eventually um a few bit green oops a lot of rejections out of that slight machine right now so something um so four slot machine that's you're probably the main multi-ball that you go for because it's the easiest to get even though the um ball can come out of there quite mean sometimes but you shoot it once too probably your best bet spin the slots if you spin the slots twice at your slots finished so there's a lot i probably shouldn't go into this much detail but i don't care what's your number one the thing that you want to do on this so i would say if you can get slot multiball like going you're doing good so all you got to do is just keep heading up into the slide yeah so you spin your slot once um it finishes it comes back down it goes down to the flipper and then maybe down the drain if you're unlucky and then um the ramp this ramp actually moves so currently this slot's been spun and the ball is actually sitting in there that's the reason it's going to articulate up and down yeah it's going to come down now there comes the ball and the lock is up and around the ramp and it sits in here i tried not to draw across the screen there's a lot of what warps happening because why not so you see here comes the lock oh they're locked she's trying for the woodwork she's really trying now she's in the bang bangs so yes so you need to get two locks so you need to spin the slot twice to get both of your locks and then multiball just actually is another slot shot you don't need to lock it again so there you go there's a lot of information in there
