Tonight we're playing X-Men. My hope was to actually get this fixed, and I started it but didn't get it complete. So once again, Wolverine is only going to trigger my guess about 25% of the time. Let me show you what I'm talking about here. Hopefully this comes through nice and clean. Yes! Awesome. So, we're playing Stern's X-Men. This is the Magneto LE Edition, quite possibly the most beautiful. We've got, um, it's got a couple of basic lighting mods in here. We threw in the really pretty pin blades on the sides of these, the comic art pin blades. This entire pin is, at least artistically, I think a masterpiece. And we've got a couple of other mods coming soon. I mean, I've had these for months, and I just haven't installed them. I need to actually get these installed, but I've got some cool lit ramps that I need to get installed from the pin doctor. But the one that we do have actually in here right now is some custom firmware. If you've been on the stream and you've seen us play this at all recently, this is the same pin that we brought to Rocky Mountain Pinball Showdown, and it kicked ass. We have some custom sound mods on here from the pinball mix. I think that's his name. He's the guy who does custom sound mods for existing pinball machines. Doing really great. Got to actually meet him at Pinberg. Super cool guy. So that's what we've got on here tonight. These are all custom picked out songs to replace all of the different good guys and bad guys. We still haven't gotten to Danger Room, and we have Danger Room turned up on easy mode right now, which is where you can simultaneously start multiple modes. so I can have Beast running while I have Xavier running. All right, so quick walkthrough. This game is all about either starting mini-modes in the good guys, which are the ones around the center here. So you've got Iceman, Wolverine, Xavier, Storm, Phoenix, Cyclops, Beast, or Rogue. And you initiate all of those modes by hitting their specified shots twice. So left orbit is Beast. Left ramp is Storm. There's two actual shots here. The left one, which you can hit from the right flipper, upper right flipper is Rogue. The shot you hit from the right flipper here is Xavier. You have Magneto in the middle. Not one of the good guys. You have Cyclops on this weird little loop-de-loop thing here. Right ramp is Iceman, and right orbit is Phoenix. So I think that is everybody. Oh, and Wolverine over here, who isn't going to trigger almost all night. You complete those by doing... It's a little different for everything, but for the most part, it's hit that shot again, or hit some sort of story-based shot. Like, when you hit Phoenix and initiate that, I think you need to do... You can complete her mode by hitting Wolverine or Cyclops. When you do Beast, you just hit Beast a few times. when you hit Storm, I think you can complete that by hitting Cyclops or Storm or the Pops. Anyway, those are the good guys. And if you can start, for each good guy that you start, the jackpots in Magneto Multiball, I think, get bigger and bigger. So you want to start your 4-ball Multiball after you've had a bunch of people at least start it. That increases the value of that Multiball. Then you have bad guys. For the life of me, I can't think of what qualifies an actual bad guy. But you initiate them on the left scoop. There are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 bad guys. Sabretooth, Shadow King, Hellfire Club, which is a multiball. Juggernaut, Brotherhood, which is another multiball. Sentinels and Omega Red. We got to choose unique songs for each of those in our pinball mix, which is awesome. and those are where both the big points and also your standard modes actually come from. That is, I guess, kind of your basic walkthrough. There's also a multiball on Wolverine, but once again, Wolverine isn't triggering as well as he should. So, without further ado, let's get going and show off some more of the game. Super, super deep game. I feel like this game gets, it's a John Borg design, and between the Saturday morning cartoon style theme for X-Men, and this pin is absolutely gorgeous. It has a real translate as opposed to just the, or backlash, sorry. It has a real backlash as opposed to a translate, and it's just amazing. Alright, we've got a lock and a Cyclops. There's a storm and an Iceman. There's a Cyclops. Alright, so we've started Cyclops, and it looks like we can hit Beast, Cyclops, or Phoenix. So if you memorize all of the different shapes, you know which shot to make for that second Xavier, or you can just hit Xavier. And then it'll show you the picture of who it is. Alright, what do we need here? We need, uh, I guess I got a lock shot I can make. I only have one ball lock right now. I can go for Wolverine. Like that. 500,000 on the Blackbird there. So I think, if I remember correctly, the key to initiating Wolverine on this machine is to hit him with like glancing shots, and then he triggers more often. And once again, that's just an issue with this particular pin. We have a whole new Newton Ball kit that we got from... What's the name of that place? Marcos. Xavier. There we go. It's meant to be nudged. It's meant to be slapped and moved around. But every time you do that, you're hurting the game a little bit. Now, the game's meant to take it, but the more that happens, the more the owner's going to have to come back and, let's say, make small repairs, or clean something up, or who knows, and just being respectful of the fact that it's supposed to be moved around, but don't do it unnecessarily. I actually had to change the pinballs in this game because Magneto has so many magnets, and I put in what's called ninja pinballs, which are more reflective and apparently like a more premium style pinball, but they also get magnetized easier. And because of how magnetized this game is due to Magneto multiball, I had to get rid of them and put back in standard pinball. And we can start some Wolverine multiball. All right, let's try and actually complete it this time. This was the one that stopped I'm getting into the lizard mode a few games ago. Yes, that is called an air defense. Stop right there! No!
