You ready? Drop it behind the back. Are you shooting? Yes. Okay. Today we're going to be installing the backboard light mod for Evil Dead. Uh it's super super simple. It's only going to take you guys a few minutes. It's going to come in a tube. Whole lot like this. You're just going to open your tube up. There's going to be some packaged awesomeness in here. Going to pull that out. I believe Oh, it's on the other side. Maybe just open the other side if you can't get to it. Just do that over the other side. And we got the hardware. So, super easy. You're only going to need like one tool to do this whole thing. So, to start, let's go ahead and get this opened. Take a look at the mod itself. So, this is your backboard light strip. It's going to have these three pieces on here, which should be kind of freely floating so that you can get it set down nice and easy on your backboard. Uh, so you obviously want to install this with the lights facing this direction. Uh, let's see. Do I have this upside down? Let's double check. Be this way. In on the left. Yep. In the left. Okay. Yep. So, in on the left side. So, you'll notice these these brackets back here. Kind of get those facing down. We set those down. It'll sit nice and flat on your backboard. Now, here's what's cool. You kind of have some options for what you want to do here as far as where you want to install it. You can install it uh kind of mostly dead center on the backboard. I don't really recommend this cuz you have the cabin roof that will be sitting here. It'll be kind of blocking most of your light and everything. So, what I do, I take it over and I kind of try to line this nut in the center of my inserts here. Uh, we get the best lighting effect out of this. It's not technically centered on the backboard, but it's centered over here. So, center your nut in between your light strips over here. We have those our brackets sitting nice and flat. Now, we can screw in this piece. So, we're going to open our little hardware bag here. And in this hardware bag, we got a cable. We got some zip ties. We got this cool little sticky square piece. I'm going to skip past all that so I can get to my screws. These are uh 5/8 in screws that you're going to be using. And I of course have a quarter inch drive on my drill to install this. I'm just going to grab those on there by themselves. Now, uh, if you're confident in your abilities, you can go ahead and pre-drill this before just screwing your screws into the backboard. Uh, just be extremely careful if you do that to use a small enough drill bit and also not to go completely through the backboard and damage or hurt your backboard plastic. Uh, so you can be very careful doing that. Uh, I'm just going to go ahead and install it straight in cuz you can. So, I'm just holding on to it tight, getting my drill lined up, applying good amount of pressure against it, and screwing in. Just like that. Don't over crank it too tight or anything. You're just going till it's snug so it doesn't go anywhere so it [snorts] doesn't run away on you. Get the next one. There we go. And our last one. I think we're just going to leave this one installed for this customer. So, somebody's going to get a free one of these just for fun. and installed. So, there we go. Nice and tight. That one could be a little bit tighter, actually, now I'm looking at it. [snorts] There we go. So, nice and tight. A good oldfashioned. Yep, that's not going anywhere. And we can move on to the next step, which is to go ahead and get your light cable plugged in. So, the light cable that comes with Trying to make sure I don't take out all my other hardware here. If you're at home, I recommend just taking everything out, set it on table somewhere you can keep track of it. So, you got your light cable here. You have a side that is angled and a side that is straight. This angled side, this is very important that you plug this in on the back board itself. Uh the reason being is because this when it's pushed in, uh will push that light cable right into the back of the cabinet if you don't have the angled side in. So, we're going to make sure we have the angled side in facing the correct direction. You'll hear it click and it'll be locked in. You won't be able to pull that out. and we're plugging that into the backboard lightboard, the one that's right behind the eyeballs. Now, we're just taking this cable, running it around the side here, and we're just going to plug it into the mod itself. Now, we have all this slack right here. This isn't so great. So, we're going to go ahead back to our hardware bag. Going to take out this little square piece right here that we have. We're going to peel off the back side so that we have the awesome stickiness exposed. And we're going to take that and we're going to just press it down around this area on your backboard. It's nothing. You don't have to be too crazy specific. Just in an area where you can then pull the cable somewhat tight. Not too tight, but just somewhat tight around the back side of the backboard. And then you're just going to throw a zip tie on. So, without getting my meat paws in the way too much here, what I would do, I get my zip tie kind of wrapped around that cable first. So, I'm ready to pull that tight, right? So, I pull my cable around. And then I pull my zip tie tight so it sits just about where I want it to be. And I pull that tight. And then you can trim off the edge, the tail of the zip tie if you want to. But that is now plugged in. It is included in the chain with your lighting system. And from here, you should be 100% good to turn your game on and enjoy all of the new awesome lighting effects that you will have in your Evil Dead machine. So, that's it.
