Hello, my name is Joel Ingleberg and this is the Flipping Out YouTube channel. Uh, just last night my brother and I streamed Kiss Kiss Pinball by Stern Pinball. This is the limited edition. This is a game that Zach got in on trade. Um, so yeah, if you ever have a game that you're looking to trade in, reach out to Zach. Reach out to Zach. Uh, he'll hook you up with trade if you want to update to a newer machine or swap something out with what he's got in stock. But um I've been loving streaming some of the back catalog. This is um this was made in 2015, so 10 years old, over 10 years old. Uh this is a Spike one game, I think it is. John Borg design. Uh everybody loves this area of John Borg layouts, specifically this wire right here that you as the ball goes out of bounds. But um hey, what I like about John Borg Designs are they're fast, the game times are short, they're easy to understand, and um yeah, Jared and I, we had a blast playing this last night. Um being that this was uh a tradein. This right here, this little mech back here is a mod that the the previous owner had added. So, if that's not on your game, that's why it's a mod. Uh but everything else, this is the limited edition. Beautiful game, beautiful version, and please enjoy the topper. The topper is incredible in person. It's so thematic and fits Kiss perfectly. Um, so yeah, we had a great time with this game and uh, yeah, let's go ahead and dive in and start where I normally do it with shots and layout. So, typical board design, two inlanes, two inlanes over here. The front row, the outlane, you can light that by spelling kiss multiple times and that's your outlane ball save. The left wire form feeds this leftmost inlane uh which you're going to use to combo across into the uh the spinner and the orbit over there. Uh I'm going to talk about that. Then you have the inner shot where you can combo into the army targets uh or combo up the middle uh for I think bonus points. Um so nothing crazy over there. Over on the right side just normal in lane out lane. Um two flipper game uh regular slings. Then we have four drop targets over here to spell kiss. Then we got four pop bumpers. Big pop bumper cluster over here with this left orbit shot through the pop bumpers. Definitely the hardest shot for me in the game, but a very satisfying shot when you hit it. You have a very challenging scoop right here that you can backhand. Very important to start different parts, start your new track, start certain modes. Very important shot. Uh which should kick out here down to the lower left flipper. Then you have the starfield or the star area. There's a drop target here on the premium and le that you'll have to uh hit down. And then there's four targets in the back. And there's a little saucer back here that the ball can fall into. And that's how you qualify or work towards uh the star child multiball, which I'll talk about. Up the middle is honestly one of the most satisfying ramps I've literally shot in pinball. It's such a fun shot. It's a repeatable shot. Just boom, boom, boom. uh last night. It just I love it. I love that center ramp. You can hit it from either flipper, no problem. But what an amazingly awesome center ramp. Highly, highly encourage you to play it and just enjoy the ramp. The ramp is so great. Then we have the demon shot. So we have the uh the Jean Simmons head. You can kind of see it here or even better, you can see it there. Um but yeah, so his mouth, he does spit out the ball. So once you've uh lock three balls in there, he will spit spit them out at you, which is a pretty awesome way to start a um a multiball. Uh you can kind of see it if I point it down here. There's a target here and a target here. Those are the light lock targets. So a little harder to see uh from the upper position, but um very cool way to lock balls. You either to lock balls for that multiball, you either hit the light lock targets, which is just two targets and you can lock a ball, or you have to hit the scoop five times. You'll spell demon and then you can lock it once. So, I like that there's two different ways you can qualify locks, which is pretty nice. The right ramp. The right ramp is a very satisfying ramp when you hit it, but man, I was I could not find that shot last night. Uh, but it is a very cool ramp. And I'll tell you right now on the Premium LE, there's a diverter here. So, there's a moment where the ball will go back there, and I'm going to show that off, uh, because there's a cool little effect that it does when you start the love gun multiball. And then you got a right orbit. Right orbit with a spinner. Uh, very satisfying shot. And the right orbit almost every time will end up in the pops, which you're going to use to qualify certain parts of the game. And then you have four standup targets over here on the right, the army targets, uh, which you're going to use. Uh, and we're going to talk about this grid here in the middle and what all that does. So, not a crazy layout, but uh a fun one nonetheless. So, let's dive into rules and code. All right, step one is you pick your song. You pick your song. Uh if you look at the play field, as you change the songs, the arrows change. So, feel free to pick a song that's on a shot that you like. Um I will tell you, Lick It Up was one of the ones that I enjoyed playing the most last night because the middle ramp is lit right off the get-go. Uh so go ahead and plunge and uh just to complete a song mode, basically you're just going to hit the uh the targets. I got to throw the ball. So you see that was the left shot. Now we're going to hit the right one. Come on. I this Let's just just be kind of me. Just be kind to me tonight. Here I am missing all my throws. There we go. So, just work your way through the shots and we will quickly beat this mode. Ignore the outlane. There we go. And then right up the middle. And I think it's another shot over here. Holy cow. There we go. And one more up the middle. So, these these pink arrows correspond to the lick it up mode. And that's it. And that mode is beat. You can tell it's beat because the new track, this arrow right here, is lit for me to start another track at the scoop and the 2x. So, by beating a song, I now have 2x playfield for the rest of this ball. Uh, so that's one way to work through the game is just focus on song after song after song. But let's talk about the uh the grid here. So, right at the top, kiss. How you get your kiss letters is you spell kiss with the drop targets over there. So, that's me completing kiss once. Uh, now that I've completed it once, my outline ball save is lit, which I just hit the switch, which is why that kicked it out. But if I complete them again, you will see it changes color. So, you start at purple and then it's green, then it's blue, then then it goes to red, and then it's going to go to green, I think, and then it ends up going to white when you like absolutely hit them down as much as you can. Um, but to complete this grid once, all we have to care about is getting them all purple. So, army's over here. Uh, one thing you can do with this army combo is if you go through that, it's going to light one of the army targets. And if you hit that, that will add, I think, to your bonus multiplier. Yeah, bonus plus one on the bottom. So, if you go through this in lane, look over here real quick, and just see which army army shot is is lit. Otherwise, there's an army combo right up the middle, which you can hit, which is an army hurry up, and then we'll light a hurry up shot, which you have to hit one of those hurry-up shots. So, let's see if we can uh do that. There we go. Uh what else do we have? So, that's Kiss. That's Army. These pop bumpers, the way you get those is you got to go through the left outlane, and it's going to light a pop bumper over here on the right. Now, I had already gone through the left out lane multiple times, so I just spilled all of those in one go. But, if I wanted to relight one, you see how those are now lit. I'm going to go through there. And then if I hit the assorted uh associated pop bumper over there because they have different characters, that's how you light the pop bumpers. So honestly, you don't really have to focus on Kiss, Army, or the pop bumpers. What you have to focus on are the instruments. The way you get the instruments is step one, you got to go up the right ramp, which will light an instrument. So I have three instruments currently lit. So then you have to hit the associated shot to get the instrument. So, let me go ahead and get the star child instrument right back here. And then the last instrument that I have to get is the drum, which you have to hit through. And that's it. That's me completing my grid. Once the grid is complete, what you're going to do is you're going to hit the scoop, and that will start kind of a mini wizard mode. Uh, I made that look extremely easy, but it normally always comes down to the instruments, which means you got to be hitting that right ramp when you have a chance. So, I've started a mode, but here we go. Heavens on Fire is the multiball that I wanted to show off. So, this multiball, pretty simple. You're basically going to do what you did again. So, in this multiball, you want to spell kiss targets. You want to hit army targets. You want to hit your pop bumpers. Go through the right orbit over there and complete your pop bumpers. And you want to get your instruments. Now, this green arrow is lit because I actually have a song going on as well. If you hit the right ramp, it'll spot you an instrument. So, if you really got that right ramp dialed in, there's me completing the instruments. Let's go ahead and get our pop bumpers here. So, I need to basically you normally would combo up um up here to light it like if you go up the middle that that'll feed the left out lane. Then you can go over. So, I just need there and there. Then I need the rest to kiss. That's me completing the grid again. And then you'd hit the scoop and that's the super jackpot in this multiball. So just this is the Heavens on Fire multiball. So a cool little mini wizard mode that you can work towards. I'm go ahead and drag down to one ball. Now the catman is lit and that's because I've hit the appropriate number of pops. The catman is associated with pops. You can also see the cat is on the playfield. It's pretty hard to see there. Let's focus on spaceman. Spaceman. The way you get spaceman is you need six instruments I think it is. So, that would be my fifth instrument cuz see how that's blue. And then let's go ahead and get my sixth instrument. So, I got a light one right up the middle. Come out. Right up the middle. There's my sixth instrument. By getting my sixth instrument, the spaceman is now lit. Let's talk about multiballs. Star trial multiball is the easy one. Basically, you just want to get the ball back there enough that if you look on the I just completed this bar all the way across. Now that I've hit enough of those Star Child targets in the back, Love Gun multiballs lit right here on the right. And I'm going to show you guys something here. I'm going to hit the right ramp. And then watch what we see here. That ball is held back here. And oh, look, magnets drug it all the way around and then it holds it there in the back, which is pretty cool. You can also see the mech rocking back and forth. This is a two ball multiball until you hit that drop target. That'll drop it down under the three ball multiball. Just by starting the multiball will light the star child insert. You have to get a super jackpot in the multiball as I drop all three of the balls. Nice. I drop the ball onto the ground. All right. So, ignore Well, if I hit the green arrows, the green arrows are the song that's also playing at the same time. So, maybe I can get the song taken care of. Basically, in this multiball, you're going to hit a purple shot and then you have to hit the purple shot again. So, let's just keep doing that. See the guy rocking out. And now I got all these green arrows. That's the song. Ignore the song. That's something totally different. I'm just trying to hit him. There we go. Here's my other second purple shot. I have two more purple shots over here. So, you hit a purple shot. Then you hit the purple shot again. Then I got one more purple shot over here on the right. And we're going to hit that purple shot again. They collided. There we go. And once you've done all that, now my super jackpot is over here on the right ramp. And uh the diverter is going to grab it. There we go. And you see it moving across the back field. There's the super jackpot. Uh actually, no. There you go. Now I've collected the super jackpot. by getting a super jackpot. That's going to light the star child insert solid. So, let me go ahead and drain down to uh one ball here once my shoot again turns off. There we go. Being that I've completed another song, my playfield multiplier has gone up. There we go. Down to one ball. So, the last uh thing that I need to get here is the demon. to do the demon. Remember, you can either just hit the two light lock targets and now lock is lit here in the middle, or you spell demon, as in you hit the scoop five times. So, I could either hit the scoop two more times, which is spell demon, or I can uh hit my like locks again. Now, I can start another track. Being that I had that one done, I'm going to purposely avoid it just cuz I I I don't like the overlap. I'm trying to make sure that I'm explaining this clearly. So, I just have to lock one more ball. Hit my light lock. There we go. So, this is going to start. He's going to spit the ball out. You ready? There he goes. Come on. Spit it out. There it is. And I think we have one more. There it is. All three spit out. All right. So, when you're in this multiball, basically, you're going to hit red shots. Who would have guessed? Red shots. Once you hit a red shot, you're going to hit it. I think you hit it again. There you go. And then it turns off. You want to hit the shots that are blinking faster than the other shots. So, you see how this one on the right is blinking faster. You can prioritize that. I think those are worth 2x. All right, let's finish this over here. So, by starting it, you can see I've actually now has have all these lit. So, when I get out of this multiball, I will have the the first mini wizard mode lit. But to show you how to get this one solid. Basically, you have to end up hitting every major shot twice. Now, we got one that's roaming. So, I'm going to wait for it to get to the middle. There we go. And then it's lit under the demon for the super jackpot. There we go. There's a super jackpot, which should make this solid. So, now that that's solid, I'll go ahead and drain down. All right. Where'd that ball go? There it is. All right. So, what else can we talk about? Kiss Army is now lit. And the reason Kiss Arm is lit is because I have lit all four of these uh these shots down here. So, this is the first mini wizard mode. Uh I had to pick a song just because it's going to have a song running as well as Kiss Army. So, Kiss Army multiball. So, this a fun little multiball. Um definitely something to work towards. Basically, hit a shot, hit the demon. Now, that original shot that I had lit is no longer available. So, hit a shot, hit the demon. So, I those two are taken. Let's go right up the middle. There we go. Remember, this is multiball. Hit a shot. Hit the demon. So, I just have through the pops, which is hardest shot in the game even to throw it. There we go. Hit a shot. Hit the demon. And the last one I have is the starfield shot. Come on. There we go. And then we hit the demon. There we go. Double jackpot. And then I think we hit the demon one more time. There's the super jackpot. And that's how you get the most points in that multiball. Uh then you do it all over again. Uh I'm going to go ahead and drain down to one ball. I have hotter than hell running the song. The way the song works is you hit the kiss targets and then you uh you're going to hit one of the one of the random one of the shots will be lit. So I come on going to hit Oh my goodness. I'm going to drink. That's what I'm going to do. I just wanted to show you what bonus looks like. Look at all that bonus. All right. So the song is still playing. That's what's cool about this. There's really no timers. It's just the song. Um, so I'm going to hit There we go. Hit the shot. And then we got to hit the kiss targets again. And then another shot's going to be lit. There we go. And then kiss targets. And then another shot. And we're almost through this uh through this song here. His targets. Another shot again. There we go. And I think that is it. That's the end of that song. This new track is um is lit. So, how do I get these to be solid? Well, Catman, I just have to get more of these pops. So, inline target, spin around, pop. And that was enough to light that. And then Space Man, the way that I get Spaceman lit is more instruments. So, I think you have to do eight instruments. So, you can stack this. I can hit this ramp multiple times. There we go. So now all my instruments are lit, so I can start collecting them. Here, there's a collected instrument. There's a collected instrument. Here's a collected instrument. I actually just lit love gun again. And so by hitting this, I'm actually going to start Love Gun. Come on. Check out the coolest mech. Oh, magnets. Magnets never get old. I'm telling you, they never get old. So, I'm going to try to drain out of this because I can't collect my last instrument while I'm in this. Maybe talk about backstage pass. Backstage pass is your mystery. Uh the way you light backstage pass is um by completing kiss and army. So, if it's lit, you can't stack them. So, if it's lit, you basically just want to collect it. So, let me go ahead and collect it again. Wait for this to end. There we go. Let's get our backstage back backstage pass without a ball. So very important. I think that's every multiball. That's what the backstage pass is for. So let's do this. Let's complete army. Why not? All right, let's go ahead and drain down to one ball. And I just want to get my spaceman here. Oh, wait. I'm doing the wrong thing. I need I need uh my instruments. So over here. There we go. I think that's eight. And that is now I have a solid completed this solid which means Rock City's lit which is the final wizard mode of the game. So I'm going to go ahead and hit the shot. And this is when Zach does his cuz he's probably not going to show it. And that right there is Kiss Pinball. So it's pretty straightforward. I really love when inserts communicate what you need to do in the middle of the play field. I mean long and short of it spell kiss. It's over on the left. It's important to hit light your outlane ball save spell army. It's over there on the right. Your pop bumpers. The key is you got to roll through the left in lane. So hit the center ramp. It'll roll through the left in lane. Rip the spinner on the right. You do that enough, you're eventually going to do that. But it really comes down to instruments. Collecting your instruments is you got to light them first. So you got to focus on that right ramp. You got to be chipping away at that throughout the game. That's the only thing that kept me from that mini wizard mode was I was like one instrument away every time. Just focus on that right ramp. Otherwise, starting multiballs really easy. Throw it back in the star the starfield uh or just hit the uh the demon target enough. Hit those light locks or just hit it enough and you'll slowly uh spell and lock balls for demon multiball. And by doing that, you should be able to get to the mini wizard mode. There's a ton of scoring opportunities here with comboing shots, uh playfield multipliers, keeping the ball alive, a ton you can do that, but I don't focus too much on points. I always focus on progression. And so hopefully you guys can get to Kiss Army, which is um completing all four of the the main characters, the main people in the game. Otherwise, the grid multiball, what was it? The heaven or hell or something that that multiball is um is by completing these these grids here in the middle. So, plenty to do in this game. So, next time you see a Kiss, please play the game and have a good time. Crank it up. Uh great tunes, great music, just a fun, easy layout to play. Fun, easy game to understand. But thanks so much for clicking on this tutorial. Um, feel free to check us out live every Wednesday night from 10:00 to midnight Eastern Standard Time. And um, yeah, I'll see you guys again soon. Bye.
