It's been a little while, it's been a minute since we have done a dawn after dark episode just for the patreon. Let's bring it in. News from the road. We're out here in Ohio. We had a brand new Stern game drop and there's been, it feels like there's been a week's worth of news just in the last 48 hours and I think we should, I think we should discuss that a little bit and that is a great place to start. The I went ahead and got Foo Fighters, loved it, modded the crap out of it, sold it to a buddy in town. I got Venom, did the same thing, and I'm like, this is great, this is awesome, I love my Venom. Venom prices have really tanked, but I was able to sell at a time when I still got like 10 grand for my premium. Now that's with powder-coated armor and LE armor from Europe and all this stuff, you know, and everything. So, you know, kind of broke even, basically. You know, so that was good, and I ended up rolling it right into Jaws. The Valley Company, Subsidiary of Walter Kidde & Co., Inc., Mirco Playfields, Tim Tim Kitzrow, Scott Danesi. It's dope. It's got the alternate trans light, I redid the T molding. It's like, probably the best build I've done so far. It sold to an arcade in Spokane, Washington. They're gonna be taking delivery of it in June or July. And then I got that money to roll into what I thought was Jdubs man, John Wick. I was like, alright, this is gonna be Keanu Reeves' game. He's gonna have call-outs all in it. It's gonna be fast, it's gonna be fun. I don't know who's making it, whatever. www.ño.eduamerica.com I'm here this week. I'm coming back again in June. And I'm just getting like raked over the dang coals, man. So you guys know I work at a hospital. Basically, my job is to take care and treat adults that come in with a variety of maladies to the hospital. I fix them up and then I send you home, you know. I don't do any surgeries myself, but like I consult on surgical patients and take care of stuff anyway. Web The Valley Company, Subsidiary of Walter Kidde & Co., Inc., Mirco Playfields, Tim Tim Kitzrow, Scott Danesi. This feels very surreal in it's most The Wally Winka Show, Knapp Arcade, Bally Williams, Straight Down the Middle, Bally Williams, The reveal trailer. And, you know, we were all discussing it in real time. Had a great conversation. That was super fun. Thanks, everybody, for joining in there. You know, but I was able to, you know, pick out that, oh, my God, there's no guns depicted anywhere on the playfield. What the heck? And, man, was that the shot that was heard around the pinball world? Nobody encapsulated it better than Gary Artie. Holy crap. Did you see that rant he did on YouTube? I want to watch that fake battle go on. You know, but like a pinball machine does not attack my personality, I think, ever. You know, but wow, that was fun to watch. So I'm chomping on popcorn watching this thing. And then, oh, get the live stream and everything. Okay, so the game is revealed, right? And it seems superficially that this is a Deadpool-Bond-Cornerstone situation www.willywink.com The Valley Company, Subsidiary of Walter Kidde & Co., Inc., Mirco Playfields, Tim Tim Kitzrow, Scott Danesi. The Winning Pinball Show, Knapp Arcade, Bally Williams, Straight Down the Middle, Bally Williams, www.willywonka.com www.willywonka.com Gameplay with and it's not just a it's not just a designer coming out playing the game for 10 minutes and being like all right you've seen enough see ya like we got with Jaws. It's like Jack Danger comes out the whole team uh Tim Sexton the uh Elliot Elliot Eismin the designer George Gomez even comes out and plays and like these guys are ripping the crap out of this game. Balls are going everywhere they're playing the LE you can see the expression lighting going nuts there's like shots one after the other after the other I'm like this game actually if you're a The Valley Company, Subsidiary of Walter Kidde & Co., Inc., Mirco Playfields, Tim Tim Kitzrow, Scott Danesi. John Popadiuk, Bob Betor, Stephen Tim Kitzrow, The Valley Company, Subsidiary of Walter Kidde & Co., Inc., Mirco Playfields, Tim Tim Kitzrow, I'm watching this and I'm like this Jack Danger I think sold probably 250 games just right there in that ball too that he had and the comments I'm getting back were all the same like yeah like that actually looked really cool and here's what got me when I was watching the live stream you know I maximized it on my computer screen as I'm sitting here trying to work through everything and the car the car that comes out and moves acts as a diverter acts as a bash toy acts as a lock like it does so many different things it's twice as big as what I was picturing The Wally Winka Show Knapp Arcade Bally Williams Straight Down the Middle Dude Jesus But that car looked really cool the way that it pulls out like that And I like that alone makes me rethink the fact that the premium is a sucker bet Now, there's still some drawbacks to it. I'll get to it in a second. But that looked cool. It was fun seeing the medallion open and close. And actually, that briefcase thing, which is like a weapons crate, it's like, it's twice as big as I thought it was. You know, I thought it was a little plastic toy on there. But it's actually pretty sizable. And it looks fun to bash. That's a drawback on the pro too. They could be added. When? Who knows? 12 to 18 months probably. I don't know. Do you want to get a game? Have it for a year and a half and by the time the accessories come out, you're done with it and ready to sell it. That's what somebody's got to make that decision amongst themselves. But the gameplay of this game, watching that, watching what's going on the screen, which looks like intense, like I'm like double plus positive on this game compared to where I was just at the beginning of this reveal week, man. Steve Ritchie, a man that I've met a few times now, was the voice of Shao Kahn, one of the enemy boss for Mortal Kombat 2 and 3. Just fantastic man. And then he's the voice of Black Knight and he does some of the same lines from Mortal Kombat in Black Knight. You will never win, you weak pathetic fo- like that's the same thing from Mortal Kombat and the same voice and the same guy that's doing it. And now I have the pinball machine in my house. Steve Ritchie yelled at me. It's so, it's like, it's battling Shao Kahn for me. Like, that's why I love Black Knight Sword of Rage so much. That's why I really wanted them to remake it. And that's why I'm happy that I got one. You know, so I do respect that part of it. I'm not going to buy a Funhaus, though. And I did look, and Funhouses are available for like $5,000 if you want to get one. There's one that's like completely like rare, a prototype that's like never been touched, totally vintage and mint for like $13,000 firm, you know, if you got that kind of flex. But I don't know. The Valley Company, Subsidiary of Walter Kidde & Co., Inc., Mirco Playfields, Tim Tim Kitzrow, Scott Danesi. The other thing is, I think the game's code is really good, and I think there's a lot more coming for it, and the interactive activity of Insider Connected, it just keeps growing and growing. And now they're going to be sending you push notifications to come and battle people on your machine. Like, you're going to want a John Wick in your house, so you can get push notifications and then finish your cheeseburger and run downstairs in your house and then go on quests. Like, this is mind-blowing, and it's only going to get bigger from here. The Valley Company, Subsidiary of Walter Kidde & Co., Inc., Mirco Playfields, Tim Tim Kitzrow, Scott Danesi. I don't know the future. I don't know the future. I just finger the pulse of the pinball community. And I think there's a lot of people that are holding off, waiting for that. And then when one does come up for sale, it's going to be sold. And the one person that may be hurt may be distributors with games sitting new in box because nobody rushing out or not as many people are rushing out to purchase a new in box They waiting for the resales But I think FOMO is going to get a lot of people especially that live stream That live stream was The Valley Company Subsidiary of Walter Kidde Co Inc Mirco Playfields Tim Tim Kitzrow Scott Danesi All of these games are expensive. I would have preferred if the LE came with a shooter rod. It didn't, but you know what? That's fine. Come to Dawn. The Valley Company, Subsidiary of Walter Kidde & Co., Inc., Mirco Playfields, Tim Tim Kitzrow, Scott Danesi. This is really freaking cool, man. It might be really, really cool. So that's what I'm thinking. I want to make it happen. Otherwise, yeah, so I'm out here in Ohio. You guys want to hear some personal stuff? What am I doing? I'm chilling out here for a couple more days. I posted on the Patreon that I got an invite today from Zach Sharp to come down for the ultimate media mixer at Stern Pinball at their damn factory. What is going on, man? We have these arcade one-up guys. This is embarrassing. It's not not not some I did but that it happened So just to cover real quick Stern reached out to some regular kind of video game influencer people that do like, you know Reviewing arcade one-ups and modding those things and stuff and it's like, you know That has a much video games have much wider appeal than pinball does as far as like, you know You can have you know Hundreds of thousands of people subscribe to your channel if you're doing video game content versus like five thousand is fantastic in pinball, right? You know, I've got like 400 that's I'm over the moon at that But they reached out to some of these guys and they're like, hey, why don't you come down to LA, the Midwest, or New York and play our new game and put a video out to all your people so we can reach 10,000 to 20,000 to 50,000 people, right? Which makes total sense, but man did that anger some people. Now, I'm going to make it a little illusion here. I hope you guys like story time. You know I'm in the roller coaster hobby and we have roller coaster media days when a brand new roller coaster comes out. For more information, visit www.fitnext.com. The Valley Company, Subsidiary of Walter Kidde & Co., Inc., Mirco Playfields, Tim Tim Kitzrow, Scott Danesi. And it's like, oh, this park sucks. They didn't invite me to their media thing, you know. And, like, the sense of entitlement is palpable. Now, multiply that by ten times and you have the Disney people. Holy crap, man. Sometimes I don't even want to self-identify as a Disney park fan, because some of these people, they will stomp their feet if they don't get a popcorn bucket. They ruin things for other people. It's just, like, it's craziness that goes on. Anyway, I don't want to ever get that way with pinball, like, where I'm entitled, www.stern.com www.willywonka.com www.stern.com The Valley Company of Pinball is probably not company of the year, but you know what? I was excited to get invited to go over there. I showed up. I was early. I was on time. I was very gracious. Thank you. I was signed the NDA. Walk me around here. I will not break anything. I'm going to be respectful, and I had a good time, and I've been invited back again. They invited my wife and I to go down there just to tour the factory because they noticed that we were in Chicago. It wasn't expected. It was very much appreciated, and it's not the flex to say I get to play barbecue before The Valley Company, Subsidiary of Walter Kidde & Co., Inc., Mirco Playfields, Tim Tim Kitzrow, Scott Danesi. I just want to be helpful and I want to have fun and it's both fun and I think I'm being helpful too. I don't want to cross over to where I'm a shill where I'm trying to talk people into buying things that I think are terrible. I want to keep my authenticity. But like my honest feeling, the whole bit about John Wick, that's honestly how my week has gone with this game. And now I'm sitting here like I wouldn't be unhappy if I had one form of this game in my game room. So I still have to figure out the logistics of what I'm doing and everything. Dennis Klyce, Daniel Putyĩ, Paul Betar plains, Sean Pluck Glen, www.subsidiaryofwonder.com The pinball company is truly made of pinball fans. They'll kind of be okay with it too. And it compels everybody to put forward their best effort and I love that. Companies like Spooky Pinball, they're like living and dying on every release so it's got to be the best that they can make it because if they can't afford a flop, man, if they have a whole year of no one buying machines, that could be it. American Pinball seems to be well funded. Oh man, my boy Danny Boy, I know he's listening, jogging around. THANK YOU FOR ROAMING ALONG. I'll go do something else. It's totally fine. You know, if you don't want me around, I'm not going to force myself to be in there. But I'm happy to kind of do my thing and we'll just celebrate pinball together. It's just pinball, guys. It's just pinball. There's no guns in the playfield. You know, I didn't lose a second of sleep over that. I lost sleep because I kept getting woken up every 20 minutes for a phone call in the middle of the night from these 20 people that I'm trying to take care of and the lives I'm trying to save. I didn't lose any sleep over the no guns and pinball. I was laughing my ass off at Kari Hart's reaction video. And then when Cengiz put out his where he called gun owners hillbillies that should have their guns melted down. Oh, I just, like, from a professional wrestling perspective, this was freaking gold watching this, man. Just the two factions go at it. People were losing their minds in the comments, you know, taking it as a personal front. You know, pick the politics that you think that are right for you, you know. I'm not going to try to sway you, whatever. www I not saying that upsets you The platform of the two parties have completely switched from where they were back in Lincoln days Abraham Lincoln was a Republican People like to bring that up superficially but not in explaining the context that the whole platform of the parties completely flip The Democrats of today would have been the Republican Party from back then and vice versa.
