foreign is a location-based entertainment venue I think when people walk in here they kind of go in and they go what the heck is this place there's so much going on here right away when you first walk up the stairs there's all these lights all this noise all this action in the place there's a great restaurant in front of you you look over to your left John Youssi some great bowling lanes or to your right John Youssi this big lit up arcade the vision here is to kind of create an environment to where you can come in and get an elevated dining experience and bar experience and yet your kids can come and run around and play games and see all the bright lights while you can still continue to go play Pac-Man centipede and Galaga there's a lot to do for everybody here people for the past couple of years have kind of been bottled up things are finally starting to calm down to the point where people want to get out and enjoy themselves I think they want to flip some flippers in the pinball game roll bowling ball down a bowling lane and I think they want to shoot up some baddies in their favorite arcade game Pinball something has a huge following here I like the Godzilla pinball game so I always play that almost every single day that I'm here foreign first Tuesday of the month we have our pinball tournaments here at ontarium we started a league here a few years ago when we started off there's probably about 12 to 15 players in there consistently now we draw well over 65 players every month our tournament Works only because of the guys that run our tournaments you know Ray litzky and Andy Bagwell I could not do this without them we're very fortunate here with interim the way the three of us interact it's kind of like the perfect storm I do the social media portion of it Andy besides MC and tournament director he also makes it a personable place to be we get a good mix of players coming out here every month we probably have five to seven brand new players first time tournaments period we've had children as young as three years old and we've had some of the world's highest ranked players and people like me who just enjoyed a play so it's it's really a huge Melting Pot of players that come out a brand new pinball player and like the world number one player might be playing in the tournament together here at this location so it's really like one of a kind I feel like oh we've got a Stearns connecting to the stern inside our leaderboards I think a lot of players get excited seeing their names pump up there on the actual Big Board you know where people walking by could see it versus just the players stepping up to a machine so we do have kids playing in the tournaments uh we've been getting a lot more than recently under 16. some of the best players in the world obviously are young kids as well our launch parties are great we have the opportunity to launch the newest Stern stuff here and it's just a great time Don Rush Godzilla was done here as well there's a good mix of some certain employees coming out usually to just kind of hang out and see the game as well obviously we get the awesome prize packages from Stearns for the pinball Expo party there was about 250 people here it was a great time so we've grown our pinball collection from eight to about 26 right now and the plan is to continue to grow because we still get great support from the community and more and more players keep showing up so we'll gladly provide more and more games what we gain here at ontarium is the food and beverage experience as well so we get a lot of great players that will come in and play some great pinballs and yeah we'll order some beers have some dinner that's the revenue that I count on to build that the food's good the drink's good the vibe is good and the machines play awesome why wouldn't you come here I mean interim is fantastic
