At around 3:45 PM EST on Saturday 12/3, Spooky Pinball e-mailed members of its Fang Club an unlisted video teasing its next game, the long-rumored Scooby Doo. Someone shared the link on Pinside and it snowballed from there. Shortly after that, Spooky listed the YouTube video and shared it on its social media pages. Not a lot is known about the game yet beyond what was mentioned in the trailer. It will have custom art by Matt Frank and Jeff Zornow. The game will have custom callouts by a number of fairly well known actors, including Frank Welker - who has voiced Scooby Doo in the past, Matthew Lillard - who has voiced Shaggy since 2010 and has played him in two live-action movies, Kate Micucci as Velma and Grey Griffin as Daphne. Players will attempt to find clues, collect Scooby Snacks and solve custom mysteries. I personally love the idea of a Scooby Doo game. This cartoon was on television while I was growing up, so it's right in my wheelhouse. I can't wait to hear more about it. Spooky currently has a booth set up at the Pincinnati pinball show in Cincinnati, Ohio. They may have been planning to discuss the game more in a presentation at the event BUT...the electricity has been out in the area all day. Original estimates were for the power to be back at around 1:00 PM, but it didn't come on until around 4:00 or 5:00 PM. I'll report back here if any news comes out from Spooky at the show now that it has started back up.
