Inside a seafood shack-themed bar / restaurant in Washington DC lies a hidden pinball treehouse. Other than a few small signs, you’d never know that upstairs at this cool little bar was a solid lineup of four pinball machines and one arcade game. How they got the 1979 widebody pin Bally Paragon up there boggles my mind. The pinball loft has a great vibe. There’s no one walking past and bumping into you while you’re playing. There’s several tables to hold your food and beer. I enjoyed an ice cold draft beer and a few appetizers while playing. It’s like a secret bar within a bar. The lineup was solid and played great, with one exception. It included 1992 Data East Star Wars, the aforementioned Paragon, a 2010 Stern Pinball Avatar Limited Edition and 2011 Stern Pinball TRON: Legacy. The one issue that affected game play was there was hop on the right Avatar flipper. The game still played well with the exception of that. This was a pretty quick stop at the end of the night, but it was very worthwhile. The next write up will be the final stop on the tour and it’s mind boggling. I never expected to find what I did at that obscure location. As always, make sure to stop by the Knapp Arcade Instagram page for more pictures @knapparcade . Thanks for reading!
