PINBURGH SATELLITE at THE PINBALL LOUNGE This week on Saturday, pre-sales will open at noon for the Pinburgh Satellite event at The Pinball Lounge! Only 60 spots available, and the winner of the event will get a ticket to Pinburgh! This event will take place on June 13. This is the only event in Florida where you will be able to win a ticket to Pinburgh! REGISTRATION There are a maximum of 60 players for this event, and a pre-registration will happen at noon on May 23, 2026 on the Matchplay page at http://matchplay.live/pinburghtpl If more than 60 sign up there will be a waitlist you can join on the matchplay page as well. Payment of $50 will be requested by PinShades Paypal or Venmo after the player is registered, if payment is not received in 24 hours the next person on the waitlist will be contacted. If you register and later find you cannot attend, refunds will be given if a waitlist player can pay for the spot, up to June 11. If anyone does not check in by 11:30 AM on June 13, their spot and entry fee will be forfeit, and replacements will be made from the waitlist. STREAMING Tune in to Batcave Pinball on Twitch to watch the event! RAFFLE Between some qualifying rounds, items will be raffled off to attendees. Prizes to be determined but will include sponsor items, Mastering Pinball DVD from AbeFlips, translites, Pinstadiums, and more! QUALIFYING The format of the event will be Target Match play, with a target of 30 points, Pinburgh scoring of 3-2-1-0. Once a player reaches 30 points, the top 16 players will be then placed into the finals. for any players tied on the cutline, a tie-breaker will be played to determine who will rise above the bubble to fit in the top 16. If 2 or more players reach 30 points in qualifying, then a tiebreaker game will happen to determine top seed. For the seeds of all other players, if any ties exist then matchplay software will determine ties. If any ties still remain after that point, then IFPA rank will determine seeding. FINALS Finals series will be 4-2-1-0 scoring, each round played by 4 player groups, top seed from each group selecting 3 games to play or position, higher seed groups get priority for choosing games (other groups cannot wait for a game), and a game can only be chosen once per round, 2 from each group to move on to the next round until 4 players are left. The final round of 3 games will determine the winner! Players 1-4 will get a trophy for each finishing place, and the champion will win the Ticket To Pinburgh!
