What's up, guys? And welcome back to the channel. I have Harry Potter arcade edition in the garage today, and we're going to be installing these new side rails that will make this game go from this to this.

So, let's get started. All right, first things first, let's see what we've got in the box. Let's do the unboxing first. One side rail there. Another side rail right there. So, there we go. That's all the contents that you are going to receive in your package right here. So, it looks like we've got the board that's going to be in charge of doing all the light shows. This looks like it's going to be a calm board of sorts, probably connects this to these, and then connect it to this, and then you have all these wires. I don't know. Don't know what I'm doing here. So, that's one of the part of the things of this whole install and review process is to see if these instructions that I'm certain are right here are going to be sufficient. So, let's get it started. Let's go get you a closer look at what this product looks like. All right, so here we have everything out of their package. And one side says Avada Kedavra. That is the worst curse to basically that is the death curse in Harry Potter. And here we have the LED lighting behind this right here as well as the connection. And this is going to go on one side. And then let's look at the other side rail. This one says Expecto Patronum. Now, like I said, I have the arcade edition. So, when you specify which machine it's going on, then your powder coating will match accordingly. So, collector's edition and wizard edition, you will have the appropriate powder coating opposed to this, which is my arcade edition. So, it's going to be the flat black powder coating. Then you have this board right here. Going to assume this is the brains of the operation. That's what it looks like at least. Nice little neon-looking casing that it's got on there. It looks like where the connections are going to be going. Then you've got your cables, wire management zip ties. Don't really know what this is. Oh, it's an RGB sensor. So, this is more than likely what's going to be telling what color these things are supposed to be. That's my guess. And then this looks like some sort of in interconnect board. Hmm, I don't know. We're going to get the instructions going and see if we can get this thing installed though. So, according to the instructions, I need a number one Phillips with a magnetic tip, 1/4 inch socket driver, and 11/32 and for some reason I don't have one. So, we're going to do something that's pretty damn close and that's a 9 mm and if that slips, then I'll switch to an adjustable. Uh 5/16 Allen key, that's for the back box. I've already got that in there and flat tip tweezers. I don't have those. So, we're going to use good old needle nose. All right, it says please read through the entire document first before starting to ensure you understand the scope of the install. Okay, so let me do that, guys. All right, so here we go. First things first, power's going to be turned off. And then the next thing I need to do is lower the back box down. Let me get some padding right here.

    All right. So, all I need to do right here is remove the Phillips screw on this side and on this side.

    All right, now that those screws have been removed, let's get the back box back up. Next thing I need to do is get the glass and lock down bar out of my way.

    All right, so there is a nut right here that I need to remove. And that is what this spanner is for. All right. Now that one's been removed, I'll go ahead and remove the other one on the other side. Then in order to get the remainder of the side rail off, then I need to remove these two right here.

    All right, so this should just come right off like so. There we go. And then we'll do the same on the other side. So, the next thing I need to do is to get my playfield up. And they requested be all the way back. Right about there. And then we'll get the new rails installed. So, it looks like with this I've got this that needs to go this direction. And it feeds up way Oh, camera's not showing it. Let me get that up here. So, I got this wire right here that needs to be fed through this tiny gap. And then the rail goes on. So, I'm going to need to feed it through while I'm getting this all realigned up like that. Oh, and the screw holes pretty much line up perfectly. Okay. So, let me get these screws back in this hole right here. So, that way I don't have to worry about this thing falling off. Now, this isn't noticed on the instructions, but I have a gap on this side where the wire can feed very easily through, but I don't have this gap on the other side. So, the instructions specify that I need to loosen up this side over here and create a little bit of a gap, and then I should be able to feed it through. So, let's try that. All right. Let's see if I can see what we got going on right here. Should be able to loosen up that a little bit.

    All right. That little wasn't enough right there. I think I can get that cable in there now. Now, I'm not going to lie. That was a little snug right there and required some finagling. And I'm going to have to still maneuver it around a little bit to make sure that we're not blocking my glass channel.

    All right. That looks good right there. That should be good. Nice and snug. All right. So, I've got both side rails installed uh except for the tiny screws behind the uh hinges back here that are the first ones that I removed. We'll get the to those once I get finished with what's going on up underneath here. So, now I believe is where we're going to be doing more stuff. All right, now it's time for some cable management. Let me get the sticky stuff off of these. All right. So, now you're not going to see very well right now, but I'll show you in a little bit what it is I'm doing. So, here is what I just did, guys. Here's the cable from the side rails feeding it down and up through this wire holder right here. And that is the same over here on the other side. Up there. Moving on. All right, uh next thing to do is to access the back box. So, we're going to be removing this and getting access to everything. Now, I haven't had to get back here, but I want to say these are magnetized. Yep. All right. So, and I can push that to the side there and now I believe I've got access to everything over here. All right, so according to the instructions, I'm going to be removing these four connectors right here. Those four cables have been removed and this board right here is going to be going in their place. All right, so this board, you got the color codings right here. And I want to say they want us to attach the connectors back to the corresponding ones.

    Make sure you got these things lined up. Someone's bound to mess something up. All of these look to be keyed, so you shouldn't be able to mess this up, guys.

    All right. And then the fun part, I think, is going to be getting this back in here. And you got to make sure that you've got everything straight and monitor accordingly cuz you could bend a pin. All right, that's going in. That's going in. All right.

    We look to be in. We got the middle down a little better. Yeah. I think we're in there. And we got the cables fed through. All right. [sighs] All right, next thing on the instruction list is to return the back box back to normal. So we'll get the this back into position.

    Next phase is to get the pinballs out of here. OH! I JUST REALIZED THAT UH JERSEY Jack has the uh 20 cent piece of metal that's keeping the balls in the trough just like CGC. I didn't have to worry about the balls falling out. Yay! Way to go, Jersey Jack. That's what I'm talking about. All right. Pinballs are out of the machine. Put those in my pocket, get this playfield raised all the way up.

    All right. So, here's my upper flipper. And according to the instructions, I need to remove this little PCB board right here. And begin work on that. So, let me remove this connector. And get my Phillips screwdriver and get that out. Ooh, there's that magnetic tip that they told you to have. Glad I had it. So, this is the piece right here that comes with the kit as well as the RGB sensor right here. I've got one screw in there right now so I don't accidentally drop it, but once you get that PCB that you removed into this, then you put it all together like so.

    And I think we reinstall it now. Then we grab the provided cable that we have in the package, loop on the left, and that goes in this board right here. Let me make sure I got everything all nice and lined up. All right. And then, I'm going to use some zip ties, and I'm going to combine this with the wiring harness and feed it down to here, cuz I would like this to look like it's supposed to, nice and clean. I don't want just stuff all over the place. Now, when it comes to powering these things, I need to locate my splitter for the arcade edition, which is right here. And then, I'm going to be running this cable all along the bottom right here, cuz every machine will have a little bit different instructions.

    All right. So far, we're still looking pretty clean here, folks. All right, time for us to move this playfield back down.

    And they want it in the furthest position right there. So, just so we're clear, these pegs right here are in the lockdown receiver channel as specified on the instructions. So now, I get to go digging around back here again. So now, it wants me to grab the corresponding lolly board and plug in everything accordingly to how it's specified on the instructions. So, let me set this right here so I can see what's going on. So, power cable, that would be this one right here. Goes into the top. All right, so that's there. Left rail, right rail. All right. Then it says on my sensor cables, which are right here. I got it. There's a way for these things to get tangled up together. This one's green, so the green sensor goes into this one. Red one, so the red one goes on the top.

    And then last but not least, so I think we're getting close to the end right here, guys. I've got my double-sided tape. And this needs to go pressing up against the back box. Let me do this and I'll get back to you guys. All right. Board's installed. And I have got a little bit more wire management to do, but I've got a majority of it all tinkered out. But some zip ties and these are zip tied together going up all the way here. But overall, looks pretty dang clean. Definitely doable. It ain't going anywhere. The wires aren't all loosey-goosey. But I want to say that probably concludes the installation process. All right, so what I need to do with these, these come with the package. This is merely a safety measure to make sure that when your glass gets slid back into its channel, that you're not going to accidentally cut the wires or damage those. So what I got to do is cut this in half, peel off the double-sided area, and then slide it in there with using the tweezers, and push it up against there and press it, so that way when the glass goes in, it doesn't go all the way to the back and potentially damage your cables. So I'm going to do one on this side and one on this side over here. Remember when I said I didn't have any needle I had needle nose I didn't have any tweezers. Well, now you know what I'm talking about. Pushing that up against that. And then make it sure I've got it pushed up in there. Can't see I can't see that's for dang sure. So, let me work on this guys one on this side one on the other side. All right. So, according to the instructions I should be able to crack a beer and enjoy the fruits of my labor. So, let's get this playfield back down and make sure everything works. So, I almost forgot that I need to install the screw on this side and the other side. Note to your installation. Make sure you have plenty of slack on this line going all the way up in here guys. Luckily, I caught it when I did and I was able to get some slack. But, make sure you've got enough slack whenever you lower the head of your back box. Otherwise, you might be tearing something up. So, anyways, let me get the screw back installed on both sides and get it back up and then we should be good to go. There you have it glow rails from [music] Stumbler and Frank Pinball. The overall install was pretty easy to follow. Quality of materials feels really good and it looks damn good, too. This is definitely a great way to enhance the look of one of the best games ever made and there is a big waiting list on this product. So, get in line everyone.
