Yeah? Uh, our school's making us sell candy. Yeah, we're losers. What in the hell kind of sales approach is that? You boys couldn't sell a dollar for fifty cents. Coming to you from beautiful upstate New York, this is the Slam Tilt Podcast, a show about all things pinball. I'm your host Ron Hallett, here with my co-host Bruce Nightingale. Expo. Yay. You sound really excited about Expo, Bruce. Yeah, well, I'm not going, so just, yeah, whatever. Okay. I guess I'll say, Expo, woohoo, I'm going. Fuck you. I'll be playing those classic Sterns in the Stern-o-Rama. It's gonna be great. They're gonna have two dragon fists there. They probably will. They'll probably have two dragon fists and two stargazers in a row or something. And three cheetahs, none for sale. Oh, that hurt. It does hurt. And this is episode 64, Trail of the Pink Panther. So let's make a movie when the star died halfway through it. No, he didn't die halfway through. He died years before it. If you watch this video on YouTube, all you gottaазk коллегыğ cuerpo dahutyOS cuin valores firtaç az 비쯤 صمترء فارغ shifted faldon For that submit Funny question, people have commented I'm confused My heart is beating faster testing And almost all of it is from Pink Panther Strikes Again, stuff they didn't use. And they got sued for it. If I recall, Peter Sellers' wife sued him. Did she win? I don't remember, but he was quite dead. I think at the end of the movie he's like missing. Ah. Something like that. But yeah, they just used new footage and footage from previous movies that was unused. Gotcha. Yep. So before we start anything, the one called me out. The one. And so did a couple other people. Well, you were wrong, but kind of right, but wrong, but not right again, but now you're wrong again? Yes. Yes. Because I said originally two weeks ago, when we had our 80 versus 81, that when you start the button, it says quit talking and start chalking. On 8 Ball Deluxe. Yes, that is wrong. It actually is truly on Q Ball Wizard. And I think maybe on 8 Ball Champ. I'm not 100% sure when you hit it. I can't remember. But then when I said I screwed up and I said it doesn't say it at all, no, it actually says it in the game but at a different point. So I was right but I was wrong but I was wrong but I was right. So another Bruce-ism. Yeah. But the one called me out on it. Thanks Keith. His actual words were, your 8-ball deluxe knowledge is embarrassing. And he then said laugh out loud, which was kind of cool. He goes, that's the most famous Lyman in the game. I'm like, yeah, I agree totally. I suck. I'm going to say how I screwed up. Tim Tim Kitzrow, Loser Kid Pinball Podcast. Oh, we got two negatives! Not just one, we got two negatives! Yes! Excellent! Wow, we got two negatives and one positive! Yes! So we suck! Yes! Trolls! Trolls! Trolls. I love them. Trolls. They are trolls. You gotta love the anonymity of the internet. Yep. It's awesome. Luckily we know our true numbers and we're very grateful to people who do listen. Yes, we are. Yes, we're very grateful and we'd like you all to go to YouTube and like us. He's begging for likes again. Nope, nope, not begging for likes, just you know. Please like us. Oh, God. I know about the downloads. The downloads tell us, and guess what? Oh, they're working again according to the... they got back to my help desk ticket literally six months later. Yes, and? I'm not kidding. Oh, I haven't looked. Eh! They're around what they usually are. So we're holding steady. Oh my. Expo, we have Jersey Jacks, fourth game reveal. Yes, which the Buffalo Pinball guys will be streaming. Streaming. Gee, I wonder what it could be. Gee, I'm guessing Skateball 2 Electric Boogaloo. Hmm, I'm guessing Pirates of the Caribbean. Oh, you're just a wussy. I have got some information from a source. Usually I'm the one with the information. Yeah, well this may already be known, but supposedly it's going to be two level playfield. Mm-hmm. Wide body, of course. And they are going to be expanding on the hologram technology they introduced and dialed in. Ooh, so Pinball 2000, here we come. Well, I don't know about that, but that's what I've heard. Stern will probably not reveal anything. Nope. I think they're just coming out with rules and updates for their code and trying to keep on selling Star Wars. I'm reading this on the This Week in Pinball page, by the way. Well, Spooky's going to be there, but not at Expo. They're going to be at Pinball Life. Yep. Which I believe... For TNA. Yeah, I believe the guy who designed TNA works for Pinball Life, correct? He does. Yes, yes, he does. Scott Danese. Scott Danese. Danese. Whatever. Manny, Mann, what the hell, you know. Yeah, you cannot say names right. Nope. The Pinball Circus Remakeup. Really? Your name's Millett? We're still doing the pinball circus? That's still... Oh yeah, yeah. This is like the fifth straight year of that coming out. Yep. Oh yeah, I know. I know the guys too. It's like, just make it! It's a neat game, but it's just... I don't see it having any staying power. It just... There was a reason only a couple prototypes got made. I played it three or four times. Yeah, once you get up to the top, I mean, you've finished the game. That's it. Well, they've made different rules now. Changes. Oh, okay. So they actually showed those rules off at the last time they went to Allentown. It was definitely different a little bit. So do you want to go over the event schedule for everyone? There's an event schedule? Of course there is, and who knows if it's right or wrong, but there's an event schedule. I'm bringing it up now. Well, on Wednesday is the game setup hall, and the expo registration starts at 5pm. At 8pm we have the Bumper Blast Welcoming Party with complimentary food and beverage, which is always a nice thing. Free food is good. Then we got Thursday begins in earnest. Buses depart from Stern at 9am. Yeah, 9pm. What? I wish. It would be better because then you might be able to go once. No photos or video taping will be allowed at the Stern tour. No employees or contractors for any other pinball manufacturers are allowed. I know Jack from Jersey Jack Pinball. He went on there, put like a fake mustache and went on to bus like he was going to go on the tour last year. They kicked him off the bus. Yeah, I believe that happened last year. So that's interesting, the contractors one. Yeah, I know. That's going to be weird. The flip out starts at 10 a.m. Yeah, with the super bracket or whatever they're doing. Yes, 128 people. Oh, God. At one o'clock, the seminars begin. A staple of the expo? Yes. Always the seminars? That's by Mr. Burke. Yep. That's his end of it. So, at one o'clock is the Hard Top, a new solution for out of print roached playfields. Wonder what that's, some kind of new... Well, there is a couple of like the clear plastic ones. Oh yeah, okay. Tim Tim Kitzrow, Loser Kid Pinball Podcast. Deval Fasani and staff. And staff. So you can learn about Houdini. Yes. And what's possibly going down the road and what they've done into it and all this fun stuff. And then at 515, owning and operating the Galloping Ghost Arcade with speaker Doc Mack. Now, that's that's the one in Chicago. I think it is. I think it is. I think they have they have a Beavis and Butthead. They got one of them. Wow. Yeah, you can play the Beavis and Butt-head game. And then at 6 o'clock the vendor hall opens, 6 o'clock the gaming hall opens, and then at 6 o'clock also Up Close with Gary Stern. Yes. Well, you don't really need to be up close with Gary Stern because you already have his phone number. We already have his phone number. That's true. You can call him anytime. Yeah, exactly. But I will probably attend. I did last year. It's always good to hear what's going on with Stern. 8.30 the fireside chat with Jersey Jack, Speaker Jack and team and then I think at 9 o'clock they're going to reveal... The mystery game, the new game. The mystery game. Skateball 2, Electric Boogaloo. Black Knight 3000. Black Knight 3001. And then at 10 o'clock the Lloyd show with the get together, Speaker Lloyd Olson. The vendor hall closes at midnight on Thursday. But the game hall doesn't. No it does. Look it actually closed. No, it stays open until 6 a.m. the next morning. Then expo brawl. Are you and dad in it again this year? Of course we are. So we're going to hear how they failed. Hey. Is it right? Yeah, we always fail. Okay. The only time you didn't is when you were teamed up with me. Yeah, and you never teamed up. I mean, I was thinking about this. That might be one of the only times we ever teamed up. Yes. Is there a reason? Do you have a problem with me or what? Well, I'm like, I got enough of you so far, you know, I friggin got to deal with you all the time, God. I think you got a problem with me. I just got to fix your mistakes. Fix my mistakes? Your Ron-isms. My wife says you have Ron-isms. Ron-isms. It's called logic. Nope. Ron-isms you have. Okay. So at 8.30, the seminars continue with the story of how the Fargo Pinball Club was started. From collection to commercial. Speakers Bill Jim and Emily Brooks. Then we got the Flip Out Tournament Classics qualifying continues 9 a.m. To 1 a.m. On Saturday. Wow Yeah, there's way too much of that Pinball tech from the technician point of view speaker Ron Coon at 9 15 a.m. Yeah, then at 10 a.m. The vendor hall opens. Oh so early. Oh my gosh 10 a.m. The Flip Out Division B finals began 10.15 a review of manuals and schematics, the roadmap to pinball repair, Dave Fixx. Somebody better Facebook live this. I need to know how manuals and schematics are the roadmap to pinball repairs from Dave Fixx. Please, somebody. Oh, I'll be watching. Then we got 11 a.m. New and interesting game restoration at the Ann Arbor Pinball Museum and Show. With Joshua Clay. With Joshua Clay. And we make sure that we always have the show on the same day as Allentown to make sure that I will never attend. Yes. And that's it for Friday. Boy, the expo brawl doesn't go that long this year, huh? Only goes to 1 p.m.? It goes, it's about the usual. It goes to whenever the game hall opens up again. One o'clock, it says. One o'clock, yeah. Oh, wow. That's it. That's normal. Tim Tim Kitzrow, Tim Tim Kitzrow, Tim Tim Kitzrow, and then Jonathan Joosten as his two upcoming pinball magazine publications he's going to talk about. Two o'clock is the unique, rare, and universal, The Gottlieb Mylstar Years. You'll be there, you'll be watching that, right? No, I won't. You love Gottlieb. You're sleeping away with Derek. Derek Fugate? Yep. Making perfect parts for Imperfect Machine speaker Bruce Westphal and Greg Freras. Then at 4 o'clock, The Miracle of the Art of Batman 66 and Beyond, No Sleep Till Expo. No sleep till expo! So Greg Freres is going to have two in a row. Batman and Robin, Christopher Franchi and Greg Freres again. Now I know Ron's going to this one. Those good old days at, oh they're doing this again, they did this last year. Good old days at Williams. Larry DeMar, Steve Ritchie, Ken Fedesna, Mike Stroll, and Eugene Jarvis. Oh, Eugene Jarvis alone. Yeah, swear bombs are on. Yeah, F-bombs galore. Hopefully he keeps it under control. Steve Ritchie will be there. We rolled at Williams. And then 6 o'clock is the Dutch update. We have nothing. We are trying to make it. Well, supposedly they're going to reveal the new manufacturer. So they had to fly 7,000 miles, spend people's money. Well no, that's already used up, so. Well no, they're still spending more people's money because they still have some. Okay. To come over and say, here's our manufacturer. Do you have any questions? Yes. Ah, do I have Dutch boy head too? Then at 7 we have Star Wars The Saga Continues. Speaker is Steve Ritchie with guest moderator Gary Flower. You can ask all your questions. You can ask him about the video modes that you love. I will not be there to ask. The one video mode looks just like Jairus. Yes, it does. Interesting story. The guy who designed that is the same guy who did Time Pilot. And then they fired him because he wanted more money and he went to Capcom and he made like Street Fighter 2. Ooh. Yeah, so a little trivia for you there. Then at 8.30 we have the… Just Ron looking forward to the… Oh yes Stern 2017 hosts Jody Dankenberg and Zach Sharp Yes Woohoo They be having I read somewhere they mentioned a head to head So they going to have one of those head to head things there Okay. That actually could be fun in a, that'd be good in a party setting. You can just do two people at a time. Boom, do it. Okay. Okay. You did it. Okay. Get off. Next person. Next text people. They should do like a King of the Hill. Meaning like, I don't mean that Bob. What I mean is they actually have like two players and whoever does it first they stay on and the next person goes up to challenge. Will you be the last person to win? And whoever is last, you know. It should be like a pyramid. A pyramid. Shoot the pyramid? Shoot the pyramid! Whoever wins continues on but moves up the ladder chain and then those other two and then they fight each other again, you know. Yep. Shoot the pyramid! Shoot the pyramid! That would be fun. Oh, God. We're going to have a couple stargates. How many times can you shoot the pyramid? Oh, God. Oh, God. Oh, let's see. Let's see. Then Saturday, let's see, at 9 a.m., we got the Flip Out Main Bracket and Classics Qualifying Continues. Dear God. 10 a.m., The Lost Prototype, the story of the bally that got away. Hmm. Tina, you might have to see that one. Hmm. I wonder what that means. It doesn't even say what the game is. No. Casey Gardner, Chuck Gardner, and James Hudson. Hmm. Hmm. Wizard, Pinball Wizards, Jackpots and Drains, In the Cult of the Silver Ball, speaker and author Adam Rubin, that will be at 11 a.m. That's the new book that just came out. Mm-hmm. At 12 noon, there'll be Chrome Plating, Picking Hot Rods and Families, speaker Chris Royalty. Mm-hmm. Then, the ever popular at 2 p.m., the autograph session. Get autographs from your favorite designers. I'll be there. I'm always there. Play better. 7pm is cocktail hour, 7.15 is the Make-A-Wish charity auction, 8 o'clock is the banquet with special guest speaker Jim Patela. Patla. Pat- Patela. He's not a, he's not a patendin. Patla. Jim Patla. Patela, gotcha. Okay. Then the, at 11pm the Flip Out Classics qualifying ends. Oh goody! But wait a sec, I don't see where the main qualifying ends. Yeah, I don't, I, uh, then the vendor hall closes at midnight, then Sunday, which is kind of the, unless you're playing in the... We'll be right back. All Tournament Stuff 7.30am Flip Out Finalist Player Meeting 8am Finals Begin 3.30 Trophy Presentations Sure it'll be at 3.30 Sure it'll be at 3.30 Any guesses on when the tournament will actually end? 7 o'clock pm Yep, I'll go with that. Keith will be grabbing a trophy. Oh, you're making a prediction. Nope, the one. The one. Pinball Expo 2017 officially closes at 4pm. 4pm. And that is your schedule of events for Pinball Expo. I will be back with a report. Yes, Ron, what do you think? What are you going to go see? Definitely. Gary Stern, got to see that. And the Jersey Jack one. Okay, and the Lost Prototype, the story of the ballet that got away. If I remember. But those are the definites. And don't forget, if you see Ron at the show, walk up, say hi to him, say, hi, Slam, how's and hanging no high tilt how's it hanging your slam I know you tell them just come slam it'll make me feel better okay I'll tell him hi I'm Bruce yes oh yes so Ron will be gone all weekend mm-hmm first you're early actually wake up I can't I've been up since 4 I was painting all day painting at the bar the bar if that be the The Silver Ball Saloon? It was the Silver Ball Saloon. Since today was a holiday for my company, I was officially off. And not normally. This is officially a day off. Paid. Which was very nice. Yeah. That's what a holiday is. Well, no. If you worked, you actually got double time and a half. Oh. But I didn't want to work. No. Mentally, I needed to go to the bar. Mm. Mentally, I needed to go to the bar. Yes. And we painted. entrenado courtesy, So Ron, you're still in luck. Well, I made an acquisition. Really? What did you grab? I can't say. That's a mystery. Luckily, as your brother, I know you finally got that freedom prototype that you've always wanted. Oh yes, the freedom prototype I always wanted. I have it right next to my vector. Excellent. And next to Q, the clue, the Q too, right? Yes, I wanted the Stern, I wanted the final Stern, Q. Yes. Oh, God, that game is terrible. Oh, God, it is terrible. Yeah, it was, I got it shipped from Arizona. Really? Yes, and they shipped it assembled. Ugh. Yes, I was holding my breath on that one. And? It made it. So when's the world going to see this beautiful new machine? I can't say. It depends if we can get the cabinet back together. What? Yeah, the bottom's falling out of it. Did you lose it and drop it? Oh, you got that machine with no bottom in it. That one we saw a couple of weeks ago. The Raven? The Raven? The Raven, yeah. That was it. We got the Raven. Excellent. Yes. Actually, it looks like it's just going to be glue and some clamps, and then we'll be ready to go, hopefully with the cabinet. Glue and some clamps. Tim Tim Kitzrow, The Game Guy, Mark And I think the reason the game was assembled, one of the reasons, is because you couldn't actually get it apart. You couldn't take the head off or the playfield out because of the wiring bullshit that was done. I'd like to get whoever did this and smack them upside the head. They need to be not allowed near any pinball machines. Tim Tim Kitzrow, Loser Kid Pinball Podcast. I can't breathe while I'm playing live online. or a genteel epica 2000 The original battery was on the CPU board and somehow did not leak. So I got that off and replaced it with a RAM thingy, whatever. And RAM? Yeah, and RAM. Then I did my first CPU board work where I jumpered it for two 2732s. I've never done that before. It was jumpered for four 2716s. So I jumpered it for two 2732s so I could put Scott's version of the software on, another clue. Oooh. Oooh. So that is in there, everything is working. The soundboard did a little funky sounds and then it went back to normal. I think I'm just going to recap it. Yeah. The speaker is hosed in some bizarre way. It has no mid-range, no bass. It sounds like an old, like, little transistor radio thing. Oh, excellent. Yeah. So, and unfortunately, I used to have a lot of old speakers, but I had tossed them, like, when I moved. Of course. Yeah, of course. That was stupid, because one of them would probably have worked for this. Oh, well. But did it come with a ground? Yes. Okay. It was grounded. It came in the, the wire, the power cord has a ground prong. It also has three parts to it. What? Yeah. The original cord coming out of the game is basically attached to a outdoor extension cord type cord, which is then attached to another cord, which has the three prong plug. Isn't that great? Did it with it grounded? It's all that matters to you. No, it's getting ripped out. That is the most hacked up power cord I have ever seen. Paul Lun spoils this being an attractive give and take interview. www.willywinks.com More awards for But it works the same way as probably all the other trap doors in games work. And the like single drop target mechs where it raises and lowers on its own, like in Star Trek Next Gen, like in No Fear, you have two coils on the mech. One is like a full size coil and it fires it to put it in the up position. And the second coil is a very small coil, which just fires to release a clip so it goes back down. Mm-hmm. And they're all the same. The problem with this, and I had read where a solution of this was to add some lubrication to it so it would go down. That might work, but to me that's not the issue. The issue, it's the same issue I had with the Star Trek, with the exploding ship where when you go back to home position, and this is where it's hard to explain, but when the The one coil fires, like in this case, it'll fire the trapdoor up. The trapdoor will then catch like on a latch. Think of like a drop target catching on a lip when it's up. The second coil, its job is to pull in so it pulls in the part that it's on, so it can go down, so it releases it. And the issue was, to me, just looking at it, is that this little coil had way too far Did the part that is sucking in had to go way too far for this little call to be able to do it? And I've seen this before. This is the same issue happen my Star Trek It'll just fire it but it's not enough for it to release and the bizarre thing is usually on these type of mechs There's a little piece of metal that's bent over that's an adjustment It's there specifically to adjust The plate and how far it has to push it in On the dialed in it was there but it wasn't like It wasn't bent down like it always is, like I always see it. It's just sticking straight up. So if you have it dialed in, look at your your trapdoor Mac. You'll see where the little coil is. There's a little like tab that sticks straight up. That actually should be, you bend that down. Make sure you do it. Don't do it too far down. It's tough to explain without a visual. I should make a video. But you bend it down. Don't bend it too far. Well you bend it down so it actually touches the plate and then you can bend it further to make the plate not have to The idea is when the trapdoor goes up you want you want to have it the absolute minimum it needs to be for it to catch and no more than that so when this the smaller coil sucks in it doesn't have to suck in that far and I made this adjustment literally maybe adjusted it maybe less than an eighth of an inch in and now it works 100% flawless so don't bend it more than an eighth of an inch They touchdown our next game, and this is vegetative love. 쉽ация To me, that is the issue. I don't know. I've never seen one where it was up in that position because it's the same mech that that part of it that I've seen on countless other. I mean, I think the the up down ramp like on was WHO dunnit is similar. Like it fires it up, hits a latch and then it has a smaller coil that releases the latch and it goes down. Probably any game with a trap door is like that. I bet you if you look at Funhouse is probably the same way. Probably. So I don't know why it was like that, but now it works. audienceende never stopped us here at the polls and wise could music low-end rosary headed but i actually came a pretty nice at version takes services for mor reproduction of cooker magic eraser not Ryan Policky for display for a hundredws %uh we found out there's a lotta hacks in mind so for me come to him the bar allegando weekend ago do it so i've played Zach's coming over. We're gonna start ripping into that. And then tonight I was playing Stargazer and I'm getting ready for the bar and I'm playing around and I shook the game really hard. I'm like, it didn't tilt. Why didn't it tilt? And I look in there and the tilt bobs where it should be. So I physically try to hit it over. No tilt, no slam tilt, no rolling ball slam tilt. Hmm. So, I replaced the connector, J3. Still none. Hmm. So, I went into the old RGP knowledge base. And I found my answer. It took me about three or four minutes of reading. Somebody said, reseat the connector on the coin door. I'm like, really? Okay, let's try that. Pulled apart the connector, reseat it back in. Guess what I got? Slam tilt and tilt. Hmm. Really? Fix the tilt? Even going to the coin door? Yep, because I think it's using a diode from one part and the diode could have been like not connecting fully on the coin door part. And it could have been blocking the whole, but it shouldn't have been blocking the whole rail. I'm gonna have to look into this more, but it works. I hit the tail. Here's a little factoid. On a stern, and I'm guessing bally's might be the same, you can't use the test buttons if you don't have the playfield in the game. I never knew that. Yeah, because there's a connector on the playfield that goes up to the head and connects into something that actually connects. I looked it up in the schematic and all that because it's when I was working on the big game and I had the playfield out, and I trying to get into the menu and none of the test buttons are working And it like it like they work before And then I figured that out I bought some stuff for the bar I bought some little cozies for my pinball legs So when people are at the bar, they can put their drinks into the cup holders that Pinball Life sells. They're cozies? I call them cozies because it's nice and cozy in there. You have weird terminology. I do. They're cup holders, folks. They're cozy. Okay. I got seven left and seven rights. We're all set with that. And then I bought my Stern coil flipper mechs because the one on C which is foobarred. And there's a lot of hack wiring we're gonna go dig it into next and hopefully we get her up and running and actually play a game on her. I had to actually get buy a Weebly CPU because me and Zach took the CPU board apart and the acid damage went so bad it was actually in the CPU board. It went into not the first RAM, http://www. exports.com.co.uk SoteraQVTn, Since we're filming a documentary on computer graphics and alsoulinternet, I will continue sharing my music as it lives up. Merry and Happy crafting. We're here for Sea Witch, IJ Williams, and Monopoly. You get them ready. Where do you get your rubber kits from? I got these from Marco. And I got some balls from Marco. And I got some Stern coin door stickers. Ooh. Yeah, I wanted to try them out. The ones that say Stern on them? Stern, Chicago, Illinois. Oh, interesting. Yeah, they look pretty nice. Shooter News News of the week! A company out in Australia, mate, finally let people play and see the new game. Thunderbirds are go! Are a-go. And I know the Australians are really psyched about this, but oh my god, what a flipper gap. Oh my god, what a flipper gap? Did you see the flipper gap on that thing? Well, let me look at the picture, it looks standard to me. It is bigger than a Ghostbusters. Really? Really. Ok. A couple of the best players in Australia were playing it and they were getting 30 second ball times on this thing. Cool, sounds like my kind of game. Oh you know what? I just noticed it's got palm trees on it. Of course. It looks just like Surfing Safari, you'll love this game. Oh, I know. I'm getting the feel from that right now from it. Yeah, I don't know. I'm going to wait till they actually start shipping these. If you notice, we don't talk many about about these companies if they don't ship. We've barely talked about Dutch ever since we said we wouldn't. We just had to make fun of them about them because they're coming to Expo. We haven't talked about that other company Alien. We talked a little bit about the Deep Root, but we won't talk to them anymore because they haven't shipped anything. When you start shipping games, we will give you accolades. If you don't ship, you no sell. If you no sell, you're not a pinball manufacturer. The Bruce has spoken. Yes. Not the one. The Bruce. Just the Bruce. I'm sure the companies really care. Bruce is dissing us. No, not dissing them. That's why I talk about a company that's fucking up or screwing up. Not going to beat my head against the wall. Or name Deep Root. Deep Root. Deep Root. Stern has started something new. The Stern of the Union Address. And they go addressing problems at Stern and future things that are going to be happening at Stern. Status of the code they talk about. They're continuously working on updating and improving the software for our machines. There's always code updates and bug fixes in various stages of development. As usual, we release them as soon as possible. Here's a sneak peek at two games that have the updates coming along very soon, as well as a status on a few other titles. Star Wars with this new asteroid video mode and intense lightsaber duel. Oh, you can't wait. You can't wait, can you, Bruce? Well, we saw the video mode for the asteroid mode and we talked about it. It looks like gyrus. It looks like gyrus, yes. And there's bugs already with this code that just came out. Of course there is. Of course there is. 0.92 has a lot of bugs. Batman 66 with new major villain cliffhangers. So that means I think that's going to be the next one coming out. And then as soon as Star Wars is complete, we'll be focusing on a final update for Ghostbusters since there is no wizard mode that actually works. Error Smith will be getting a little more polish, and then we will be revisiting KISS code very soon to create a final update. Okay. I got one more beef with them. Oh, God. Here it comes. Fixed Star Trek. There are so many bugs in that one. Like what? You can get stuck in modes. You can sometimes get stuck literally in a certain mode doing it a certain way. You can't get out of the mode. Bummer. Yes. Plus also a couple other, you know, typing and not typing, but other little issues, but Polish that one you sold enough of them. You still sell them, you know kept on selling them finish that one up boys and girls, please in the stern of the Union Address they had some they announced some promotions and one of them is one of our Past guests they went from private to private first class Mr. Greg Whopper Pavarelli got a promotion to private first class What does that mean? Oh, the Stern Army, I get it. Yes. And then, uh, don't forget the Heads Up Tournament they're talking about on October 27th and 28th at the Hard Rock Cafe. They announced availability for Ghostbusters on Xbox One and Stern Pinball Arcade is now available for PlayStation 4. So you can play them, your Ghostbusters. Willy for a cone out club with pen mallets to enjoy graffity calling Major League Baseball Hey, you have a chance to win a TNA. A total nuclear annihilation. How can I do that, Bruce? Our friends at, uh, I always forget the friggin' name. Project Pinball. Thank you, Project Pinball. It's a $70 chance. There are only 200 chances to win a total nuclear annihilation. And from one who has experience, I can tell you, you can win. You can win. How's that game going for you, that one you bought now? At... Number one, I got out of work early to go to this thing because it was Friday. It was like a three and a half hour drive. A three and a half hour drive. Yeah. Which took over four hours. Because of traffic. So the first thing I said when I arrived is, you have this little piss-hant state that should take like an hour to drive through and it takes four. What's up with that? And I gave him my accolades, how I am the inaugural, pintastic New Robert Englunds champion. You know, because it's New Robert Englunds. I am the two-time finalist at Pintoberfest, one of the hardest, toughest formats out there. Pinburgh winner, you know, the usual accolades, karate champ, world champion, even though it has nothing to do with pinball, it still sounds cool. It does. And got to play all of Chuck Webster's games. I like everything's like kind of themed. And the entrance is like to get into his basement you go through this this really short door you have to like bend over it feels like that episode of Star Trek where they go into the ship with Clint Howard if you remember that to drink John Trania and everyone has to duck because it's like small to get through the doorway. I was thinking more like Willy Wonka. Well I was thinking that because he has a whole row that's Star Trek. The Ballet Star Trek, the Data East Star Trek, Star Trek Next Gen, and the new Star Trek. Let's see, then he has Kongo. Then he has like the Tommy row. It's got Tommy, Wizard, and Captain Fantastic. I can tell you out of those, I definitely like Wizard more than Captain Fantastic. I don't like either. I like both. I like Wizard better. It's got a spinner. Yeah, I agree. The Rock and Roll Room Robocop. And I think there's another one in that row I'm missing. But I got to play BMX, which for me, all the shows I go to, for me to actually play a game I've never played before is unusual. I've never played a BMX. And it's fun, isn't it? You would like it. I love it. I long to get one. Yeah. It's got the whole like the, there's no in lane and out lane. Like when it goes there, you have to hit another button on the side to save it. Which later on they made it so it would just happen automatically. But this one you have to do it. You have to do it every time. You have to physically do it. And it has the upper playfield, which is cool. It was cool. It was a good game. All the games were in immaculate condition. Yes, he does a very nice job with his restores. He does. This camera setup was he has like this rope and it just slides the cameras to each game. Just slides them over. Pretty neat little setup. Nice. Nice. And did some trash talking, did some playing. So how did your first round, who did you play in your first round? Well first round was like a seeding round and was the only round you could actually use any of the power-ups you may have purchased. I know, I was kind of disappointed by that. Which was, uh, like I, I had an extra ball and I also purchased extra ball for, uh, Tim and Steph, who ended up playing each other in the qualifying round. So they're using their extra balls that I got for them against each other. So I played, uh, Josh, Josh Sensor, who I play all the time at Rock Fantasy. So it felt like, like I was at Rock Fantasy, like nothing had changed. Like this was just like another Rock Fantasy tournament. We played two games. We played 8 Ball Deluxe, which he had two extra balls I had won. We played 8 Ball Deluxe and I won that. And he didn't use either of his extra balls. So then we played Congo, which he beat me with his two extra balls. Oh my! Yeah, that sounded weird. I had one extra ball and could not catch up. Oh my! So wherever I ended up after that, I just, I played, I don't know, at least two or three rounds before I got a strike. It was like two strikes and you're out. Okay. So I lasted one more round than Tim and Steph did. Wow. Yeah. So you were the highest ranked worker. Highest, highest, yeah, highest placed, highest of the slam crew. Very proud of you. And the guy that was in my group that eliminated me, he went on to win it. cowlnejkampos.com The pinball, the one you can never remember the name of. Yes. So, what's your worthy cause? I mean, I know Bowen didn't show up because he was scared. Yeah, of course. He heard you were coming and he just took him right out. He heard, I mean, he can't beat nine-year-olds, so, you know, so he didn't show up. So I figured, man, I'll tell you the other thing I said when I came in. It's like, okay, the battle for second place can begin because we know who's in first. There was a couple guys that were doing the trash talking, but there really wasn't as much as I thought everyone was just going to be talking to each other while they were playing, like, drain, drain. That would have been funnier. That would have been funnier. There was one group that was doing that, but that was it. Oh, well. Oh, well. Everyone's just too nice. They busted your chops a little bit, you know, saying that, oh, none of the New Yorkers are in the top four. John Popadiuk, Bob Betor, Knapp Arcade, Raydaypinball Podcast. And you got to hang out with the slam crew and watch the Yankees lose, which kind of sucked. But now they're winning. Yeah, it's weird. But it was like, I think Tim and Steph got eliminated at the exact same time the Yankees lost the game. Yikes. Yikes. Zoinks. Zoinks? Scooby-Doo. Zoinks. Next game. Yeah. So, yeah, the Yankees are winning 5-0 right now. Are you kidding? No, I'm not. Wow. Hopefully they don't blow this one. They were ahead 8-2 in the other one. I know. This doesn't mean anything. Well, luckily, the best thing about today was Boston lost. Yep. That's all that matters to me. That's the ultimate in the trash talker. They lost. They lost. They lost. They lost. The Red Sox have been eliminated. Oh, too bad. Yep. So now what's next? Welcome to fictional f続 base meetings from them. Welcome to the primal Marchedu bloodмorty twenty psychologist joel This one is, it's so good. Oh, you as dressed up as the girl on Baywatch? I'm a woman in like every one of these. I don't know what's going on. I really don't know what's going on. I like the whodunit because it's the only one I'm not a woman. Whodunit I like too because actually Jeff Teolis is in that one. But we've had a lot of interesting ones with Tim Balls and George Takei on there and myself and Ron. We've all been enjoying them. Wow, Baywatch is weird with you with hair. I know. You're the Hoff. I like the WHO dunnit. Your expression is quite perfect there. George Takei is there. Oh my. Yes. And I'm looking suave and cool with my hat on. Got a lot of good ones. Please keep them up. I have my number one. Number two is still up in the air. There's a couple others I like. www The best backglass or artwork from a game with my face and Ron face Anybody else this is a free game in my book And when does this contest end? Next Sunday night, 1159.59 seconds, October 15th. I extended it a week because I didn't think we were going to get many and then Like right after I said it, we got like six. Yep. And they're all on our Facebook page. So if you check that out at Slim Till Podcast Facebook page, you can check out all the beautiful ones that have been done so far. Mm-hmm. So let's start with the male. Oh, my. Oh, my. Bow bag. Oh, the male bow bag. This one's from Jason from New Jersey. Hi, Jason. Hi, Jason. The game is a visual, but we can explain this one. Hi Ron and Bruce, I picked up a Gottlieb Spider-Man. Oh, that was the game I couldn't think of that Chuck has. Ah. So, good alley pass practice game. I was speechless when I saw this capacitor installed in it. I removed it and thought you might laugh at the picture. It's humongous. It looks like an Atari blue cap from arcade games. It is literally taller than a water bottle. Yes. Just think of a regular water bottle. This capacitor is bigger than the water bottle. Now I'm going to bring up something else. One of our friends on the show, Tim Balls, had a pretty cool thing happen to him last week. He got you as part of a patent. Yes, he got a patent in some computer stuff I couldn't understand. Yes. Congratulations, Tim Balls. Yep, very cool, Tim Balls. Mr. Tim Sexton was part of a group of people who submitted a patent through his company where he works. And it was approved. So his name is going to be always on a U.S. patent, which is pretty damn skippy. Jason from New Jersey continues, either of you had any such experience as buying a machine where we saw something that ridiculous? Uh, yeah. Like a capacitor the size of a water bottle? No, not that, but a lot of hacks. And it said the game did play fine with it installed, but my God, man. Yes, and it is, it is literally, it is bigger than a water bottle. In this podcast, we are looking at covering and放ine.com For me. Yeah, or Bruce. George Gottliebs. Eight Ball, he's first, he says, Eight Ball Deluxe most certainly does say quit talking and start shocking. It's one of the couple phrases that says during the attract mode. Yes. And here we go. You ready? He says, Total Nuclear Annihilation was great. In capital letters, G-R-E-A-T. Yep. Wow. Yep, very impressive. For Scott to say that, you know it's a home run. If you can get him to like anything, it's a home run. It's a home run. He also says the countdown was decent, the one you were talking about, the one you saw. The countdown was decent, especially for the price, but it really had bad insert dishing. Which, you know, you deal with. Prices at York, he says prices at York, as usual, were very reasonable. They were. There were some overpriced turds, but most were fairly priced for the conditions. But again, TNA was great. Wow. I'm going to have to put that in a permanent archive. Did you see the score I posted on our Slam Tilt Podcast page I lost to Zach by? The Star Trek one. Yes. Yeah, you were talking to me when you were posting it. I know, but everyone else, you're not even getting into the gif of it all. Hey, oh no, I didn't see that. Or yeah, I did see that. How did that happen? Huh? Oh no, I didn't see that at all, Bruce. What are you talking about? Yeah, hey, I lost to Zach by 36,020 points. On Star Trek? On Star Trek. 36,000 points. Yeah, and I had, we both had 227 million. Mm-hmm. And I was down. The last ball, he had 227. I was the second player. , Get a dog up ya. Get a dog up ya. Okay. He says, posted our latest dialed in unboxing video and thought I'd give pinballlifter.com a plug. Hope you don't mind. Thank you guys. Thank you John. And the phone hole is much harder to hit with the JJP protector on it. The kickback used to go straight in every time prior to installation, never afterwards. The pinball goes in from the left side, just has to be very straight on, not a bad thing, just got to do the comparison with a week at games prior to receiving it. I will say the cliffy protectors I put on, I've had zero issues with bounce outs. So take that for what you will, if you, you know, maybe the cliffies are better than the JJPs. I know they sit flatter because I replaced the factory SIM card hole one with a Cliffy and the Cliffy definitely was thinner and sits a little flatter. So somebody commented on our future spot pictures. All right. Ron always has the best boobs. Thank you. So let's talk about each picture we got. So you can get people the idea of what we're... Okay, we got Bruce-a-gon. Yes. Which is the Paragon, which I think we talked about this last week. We did talk about it. Yes, we did. You are Paul Faris, the guy riding the animal, and I am the... I believe the woman he is saving... Is his wife. Yeah, it was Paul Faris' wife. And George Takei is looking on in the background, with a surprised look on his face. Then we have Future Spa, which is Bruce and me. I think we talked about this one too. Timmy is pumping some iron and George Takei has like eight pack abs in the back. Yes, he does. And you're the girl again. Yes, I am. Then we have a Silver Ball Mania where you are the face of the silver ball dude. Yep, where it said my favorite quote, he said, my favorite pinball machine is Silver Ball Mania. So the idea of a guy screwing a pinball machine does not appeal to you, which is that is a line from our show. www.bit.ly People actually said that was, uh, they were gonna have nightmares about that one. Yeah, I think I'm gonna have nightmares. Eddie Cox. I wonder how they found a picture of me smiling, or at least, kind of smiling. Kind of smiling. Kind of. That's, I wonder where they got that from. And then the next one's Knight Rider. No, no, no, no. Oh, oh, yes, Knight Rider. The, the galley. And the funny thing is, Ron is the girl again. He's the waitress. Of course he is. I'm the truck driver and Timmy is the bear, he's the cop. Yup. I loved it. Good lord. But every time, Ron, you must be hiding these boobs, cause you know, you must wear these, really tuck them in or something, cause I don't see these on you right now. I have an inner woman and that's definitely true. Yes. Yup. But thank you everyone. I'm gonna go over some comments we've gotten, I'm looking for them right now. Knapp Arcade, Black Water, Pinball, Cengiz, Bally Williams, Straight Down the Middle, Knapp Arcade, Black Water, Pinball Podcast. Kevin Plotka, I think George is in the helicopter. He got boned. Damn, fail. Where am I? Now, you're the one on fire, Ron. You're the one dead, Jim. Well, there's a cop car behind him. Am I in that? No, don't think so. Damn. So, yes, that was the... and then he posted another one. Hold on. And of course, he must not like you, Ron. Oh, I'm not in this one either? www.starwars.com Emails from you or messages? That was it. Jason Lapping sent us a video of gameplay for Thunderbirds, Ergo. What'd you think of the gameplay? A lot of hitting the center ramp thingy. Yeah. He sounds really into it. Yeah. Yeah. Let's just move on. Yeah. I'll wait till it's actually made. Yeah, there you go. Because it says actually on the playfield picture, some of them saying, this has not been authorized fully yet. Changes can happen. I hope a lot. But keep your pictures coming. The more pictures, the better. Your chance to win critical hit pinball match play cards. So let's see. I think that's through our list here. I think we are through the list. Yeah. Excuse me. Wow. Wake up. I cannot. I'm tired. That's good because you know what that means? It's time to pay some bills. www.pinballlifter.com Come check out our site, recommended by the Dr. John Claussen himself, Australia's favorite comedic video guy with his daughter. Oh yeah, thank you. God, you make, he loves watching me struggle and fucking flounder all over the place. Great, it's great. Then you have Coast to Coast Pinball with Nate. Yep, Nate finally came back after his nice long hiatus. Steve Bouton in Fun with Bonus. Steve has always been very positive towards our show and we like to say hi to Steve always. And Tim Sexton, Tim Balls, look for Tim Balls on Twitch and YouTube. What else? There was a tournament this weekend. Steve was in it and Sanjay won. Sanjay won the Morristown Flip Out Pre-Expo Tournament. Yes, congratulations. They've had two tournaments there. Sanjay has won both of them. Wow, I think he did. Yeah, and he lives like, he told me he lives like 15 minutes from there, so. Ah, so the fix is in. Well, he lives 15 minutes from there and he was still late arriving at the first one. That's Sanjay.
