I'm going to tell you guys the story of this screen. Saturday, I was in a charity stream for Child's Play with Joe Hills and a bunch of other people. They asked me to jump in. I never played Among Us in my life. I played it. I was terrible, but it was fun. Middle of the charity stream, I go to my front door, and they had dropped off this monitor. Like, literally dropped it. So I had to bring up a 4K monitor in between sessions of this charity stream, which was hilarious already. I'm here just doing fishes. Dishes? Dishes, maybe, Becca? Question mark? Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Anyway, I pulled the monitor out of the box. After the charity stream, I pulled the monitor out of the box. The upper corner of the bezel is shattered. It's shattered. By the way, let me just say that I bought this monitor refurb from Amazon. They shattered the top corner of the screen. I plugged it in. I plugged in a white screen. I put up a full white screen, just a white background. Moonwalking was awesome. And hello and good luck, my friend. G-Star, what's up? I put up a full white screen just to see if there were any dead pixels, see if any darkness, anything, whatever. the screen looked terrific the screen looked terrific i immediately said thanks for helping i just pulled the rest of the monitor plastic right off the panel it peeled off like butter because they had already started the work for me um i wasn't going to use the i wasn't i was going to decase it anyway so i'm like the only person on the planet that was like oh my 4k monitor is smashed we're good fast forward to now fast forward to i like talked to game club central a little bit and game club central gave me tips on how to get this to this is also a g-sync monitor so it gets to 120 hertz i can go 144 but they said don't go to 144 for some reason i forget why marty said don't go to 144 i think it creates some kind of problems not sure don't even know what I'm talking about, but here we are, right? Let's see. Um, I am, let me see something here. Oh, 120 is an even multiple of 60, so it's better. Okay. That's, I think that's what Marty said. Like, stay at 120. Don't go to 144 because you're going to get into trouble um yeah you just need full dmd capable backbox um my backbox is hi terry i mean uh hi lynn um my backbox is capable of 120 uh is capable full dmd i just need to make a new speaker grill i think i'm gonna wait on that for a little bit there's a lot of stuff i need to do um so for me number one it reduced the input lag insanely number two the balls are so freaking sharp that it's i don't know if you guys will even notice this like i watched it i watched i did some test streams um i don't even know if you guys notice that the ball is smoother but if you watch uh the living arcade streams i know living arcade streams at um 1080 but a high refresh rate um oh my god that ball's going fast i can hit more shots now um what's up captain span i like that name so so yeah so first things first right yay for me for getting a 4k screen terry and i think terry and nail buster were the ones that were like dude you need to go to 4k and i was like yeah i'll do it eventually i don't really care about 4k yo when i put the 4k on it was like kind of like i'll see what 4k looks like like i honestly i honestly did that i almost was like well it was midnight and i was like well i'll try the 4k let's see what it looks like i'll probably go back especially this since this uh the graphics card in here is a 2080 ti it doesn't even crack a sweat now maybe maybe maybe maybe vr would do something to actually that's not true vr has always been fine on this also that's why i got it um let's see i was expecting an improvement when I went to 4k I was still blown away by how much I'm improving yeah yo it's stop it it's just it's just full stop if you can get yourself a gaming monitor here's my suggestion I'm not gonna tell y'all how to spend your money I was going to buy a tv a 4k tv like television and game club central was like Alright, we'll see. And it didn't sit with me well. The next day I was like, oh, F this. I'm getting a gaming monitor. You have less unused space between pixels. So contrast slash light alone is a big difference to 4K. Wow, that's so cool. Yo, it's so sharp. It's ridiculously sharp. So the next day I just ordered a one millisecond response time 4K monitor. I'm having... I'm... Oh my god. What's up, Travesty? I'm running 4K TV, 60Hz and 27. I can't complain. Nice. Nice. Here's the thing. This is my cabinet is built to kind of Williams super pin size Game Club Central Give me a second Give me a second man Yes it a stern action button from Jersey Jack My cabinet is built to wide body standards right and so I ordered I went to Jersey Jack and got the Pirates of the Caribbean lock bar and receiver you can't just get a lock bar kids you gotta get a lock bar and a receiver receiver is the thing that sits on the pin that the lock bar connects to they both have to have a hole in it unless you're Lynn then you can do whatever you want with a regular lock bar you can just drill right through that puppy but I didn't have that kind of resources so i ordered a jersey jack block board now as you notice this is white this button is white this is actually a flipper button virtual pin sells those too by the way cool so yeah because game club central's got one from virtual pin right um um the william style right so there there are places to get these outside of i am a you know i'm a physical pinball guy really so i generally just go to marco or pinball life and order stuff um i didn't realize that i could have gotten it from a virtual pin um yeah so flip stream yeah i i need to find a machine shop to mutilate my locked yeah i'm sure you could do it and it'll be a lot cheaper learn if you just do it that way a lot cheaper this was kind of an expensive route um this is a white flipper button right now because it's still in progress this does nothing this does nothing right now it just sits here looking pretty i actually swapped the clear one to this right flip to this left flipper so there's supposed to be a clear one here and i am talking to um i just put it here because i didn't want just a hole in the lock bar i wanted something to show you guys but i am talking to arnaz who is hooking me up with the stuff i need to make this come alive okay fortunately for me The last thing I purchased was one of these.
