My name is Eric Sweetland, and I run and play in tournaments locally. On this week's podcast, I'll run down local competition results. Let's get started.

Let's get this nightmare started. Let's talk about last week's pinball competition in New York City. In Pinball NYC on Monday, November 8th in the Upper Playfield Division, the Terrorists came up to At The Wallace to visit our New York City Flipper Sport Association. The Terrorists won a momentous 10-6 away win, becoming the first team to ever win away at our home venue. Balls of Steel visited Team Is the Shit at Jack Bar, and Balls of Steel got the 8-8 tiebreak win. The Mutants traveled to Kettle of Fish to see the cartel. The Mutants win 13-3. And Chillers Only went to Owl Farm to see Parliament. Chillers Only also got an 8-8 away tiebreak win. Also on Monday, in the left flipper division, the Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers hosted special when lit at Brookland. The home team won 10-6. The lesser players traveled to Skylark to see Tilty Pleasures. Tilty Pleasures win 9-7.

The Pin Pals got their 12-0 forfeit win over Intermission Dolores at Commonwealth. And the Aristocrats won 10 over the Colliders at Buttermilk Bar No results have yet been reported for the Deluxe Horses against the Two for Oners at McKenna Pub On Tuesday November 9th in the right flipper division, Pennister Six hosted Ball Drainers at Boat Bar. Ball Drainers got the 8-8 tiebreak win. Danger Danger traveled to Jack Bar to see Schlubbs. Schlubbs win 10-6. No Moving Parts came to buttermilk to see our butterballers, we got the 10-6 home win, and it looks like Balmy Maybe couldn't make the travel to Milo's yard to visit Neptune's Treasure. Neptune's Treasure has a 12-0 forfeit win. Also on Tuesday, in the right in-lane division, the most remarkable set of results I have ever seen in pinball NYC. All four matches went to a tiebreak. All four tiebreaks went to the home team. Jersey Jack and the Jackpots went to midway. You with the face won the tie break. The Monroe Falcons went to the Coyote Club where the Pin Babes won their home tie break. The Trolls went to Kettle of Fish where Kettle's hand grenades won the home tie break. And Dead Rabbits went to Barcade Brooklyn where tied for last had a home tie break win.

A notice was sent out this week from League Commissioner Chris Medina on the format of playoffs, which will begin the week of November 29th, immediately after the regular season. As in the past, the upper playfield trophy will consist of six of the eight teams playing in three rounds with the first two seeds having a first round bye. The lower playfield trophy will have the top four teams in both the left flipper and right flipper make playoffs. The top winner from each division will meet in a final to be taking place on a Tuesday. And the right in-lane trophy will have the top six of eight teams make the playoffs with seeds one and two having a bye. The end-of-season party and awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, December 16th at Solid State. After eight weeks of play, the pinball NYC standings look like this. In the upper playfield, the Mutants are 7-1 with 85 points, and Terrorists are 6-2 with 80 points. Both those teams have secured places in the playoffs. Currently in the playoff picture but not guaranteed our New York City Flipper Sport Association is 5 with 75 points and Balls of Steel are 5 with 68 points Looking to make up some ground the Cartel are 4 with 54 points, and Chillers Only are 3-5 with 61 points. This week, after five rounds, once again Adam Kame came out on top with 23 points. Tied for second place with 19 points, Gabriel Chazanov, John Ehrlich, and Nitsan Gabai. There will be one final week of qualifying before finals are held on November 24th, alongside a standalone flip frenzy open to anyone. Looking ahead to this week's NYC pinball calendar.
