Welcome to the Wild Dog Arcade. I am Ed
and I'm Gary.
And yes, we are here tonight. We're going to play Star Trek. Uh we're excited about uh what is going to happen with Pinball Expo. We're going to talk about some of the stuff coming up here at Expo. So
yeah.
So first thing we got is um Big Trouble in Little China. So Nap Arcades got some of the information up. It's going to be at the expo.
Yeah. We talked a little bit about this uh a week or two, but it bears repeating. I mean, the the the
the preview alone is amazing. It really really amps everything up. It looks super professional. I mean, Gary is theorizing that at some point they're probably going to want to sell this.
Given the the amount of people involved that are in the industry, like Scott Denzy did all the sound and music, they got some bigname people work that worked on this one. So,
yeah. I mean, not only that, you got the voice actor from one of the original actors in Big Trouble Little China.
So, they paid money. So,
yeah. And then you got Scott Denzy with the music um and all sorts of stuff. We we're really on the cusp of some amazing things from this company. Looks like Mud Flaps Pinball is the name of the home brew.
They did another homebrew in the past. So, Oh, yeah. And then Brian Allen's on the art. Yeah, they have they have a lot of bigname people behind this one.
Yeah. I mean, look at the the the layout on this one as well as uh what's going on in the background there. I mean,
yeah,
it's I can't wait to play this one. It it is a sight to see.
Yeah. Yeah.
And then Oh, I didn't even see some of this stuff back there. There's a lot more back there. Yeah.
You got the main characters.
You got the uh the beholder like character in the back right.
Yep.
So,
oh, there's spoiler alert right there on the left. The uh guy that turns into that monster. Uh, James Hong's character turns into that monster at towards the very end if I'm not mistaken.
No, no, that was just another character.
Oh, okay. Random henchmen turned into some monster.
Oh, there's James Hong right there in the middle. But there you go.
Way, Gemini.
Um, I'm not sure what their What was their first uh
I forgot. But yeah, this is I forgot what it was, but yeah, they've done another homebrew on that.
Yeah, a lot of detail. A lot of detail in there.
Mhm.
But yeah, it looks, you know, for a homebrew, this looks pretty amazing. So yeah, so it's going to be
pretty cool to see
mood lighting with everything.
Yeah, we'll make sure we get some good gameplay footage of this when we're at Expo.
Oh, Party the 13th was there first. Thank you, Enzo. Okay. All right. Nothing or Double Jack.
Mhm. Yeah.
Oh, I can't wait. Oh, look at the background glass art on this one as well.
Skillshot.
Yeah, the Firewing. This is just a one off homebrew, but I suspect that they're
given the number of people who have contributed to this one,
I suspect they're angling for somebody to pick this up.
This is almost a legitimate prototype ready to, you know, impress a new company, whatever that may be. At this point, obviously not American Pinball.
Look at the graphics and the overlays on the on the LCD screen. So,
but yeah.
Yeah. Even they have some cinema scenes as well in the game. Mhm. Ah, my voice.
Ed's voice.
Old man voice right now.
Yeah. All right, we're going to jump over to another homebrew that's going to be showing up here.
So, this one just got announced. It's Monsters Inc.'s homebrew.
Woo.
So,
we have another another Disney property finally. Our last one was uh Toy Story 4.
Well, yeah, but this is actually homerew. This is a homebrew. So, nobody's picked it up. No, it's not licensed or anything. So Ernie Silver Silverberg, one of the biggest fans of homebrew pinball there is, is going to bring his latest passion project to the show. A one-of-a-kind pinball machine.
Excuse me.
These homebrews are people like us that have made a pinball machine. Yeah, that's why they call them homebrew.
So that that's the term for homemade, oneoff. You know, we're working on our own homebrew. So, you know, it's like there's a ton of them. You know, Friday the 13th, Tony Hawk, there's a there's a it's Every year when you go to pinball expo in Chicago, it grows.
It's good. Yeah. And last year they actually put up a nice area for it. Instead of throwing it off in the corner of a the blank convention area, they actually set up an area for these guys.
Yeah.
Um there was a Pokemon homebrew. There's a bunch of stuff. So
yeah. Or scroll back up real quick cuz I want to read some of the stuff they've got going on here. So one of the newer features is upper ramp magna roll. magnetic wire form
that travels on the bottom to stimulate the film's door conveyor system. Oh, neat. The door conveyor features. Okay, we'll see what the door conveyor looks like.
That's the right there in the upper left. So, there's a door conveyor system. So, probably something similar to the train, I guess, on uh
on what do you call it on um Cactus Canyon.
Cactus Canyon. Yeah.
Do these Bruce have license?
Typically, no. I mean, as long as you don't sell the thing. Nope. You can pretty much
You can make anything you want as a fan. You just can't sell it. So,
yeah. Uh, but yeah. Let's see. The the door conveyor features a whopping 13 doors that change left or right using the center orbit entrances on the main playfield. Nice.
Mhm.
Shooter lane ball launches the from the apron. Tons of shot combos and connectivity. Oh, using hexapin ball app. Okay. Okay. All right.
So, they're their own app.
Yeah. Monster the ball. The bed Newton ball. Okay. game layouts created by Ernie and all the cool mech.
So there's a lot of people that also converge to work on this one.
Yeah, there's a lot of people been collaborating on the stuff. So yeah, you can see there's a lot going on in this game. So
but yeah,
solely hiding in the back by the I like the I like the window effect.
Yeah, it looks like the Monsters Inc. windows. It does. So yeah,
it's a good good ambiance for that.
Mhm.
There's uh our little guy right there.
Mhm. forgot his name.
Yeah,
Sullie's the the hairy one, right? Mike Wazowski.
Oh, Mike Wazowski is this one. Yeah, that's right.
Yeah.
Oh, we're reading off a Napa napcade.org.
Yeah. Nap arcade.org.
Got an upper upper play field in here. So,
yep. Oh, that looks kind of fun. Sort of looks similar to some of the upper playfields we've seen. Uh,
it's got a big screen in here. So, this is the backbox.
So, they they got a large screen in this thing. Right.
It's static back back glass art button
things. But yeah, there's a cool This is kind of a closeup of the door Mac.
Yeah. I want to see how that works in action. That'll be fun to see.
It looks like it moves. Looks like it
does it. I guess it just connects to the ball on the bottom. Huh.
I don't know. I think it just turns. Okay.
It actually goes on there's says there's like 13 of them. So, they're moving just like the conveyor the door conveyor. So maybe there's an opportunity to get balls in there as it's moving.
Yeah, I don't know.
Pretty cool. Got some other minor characters in there in the bottom.
Mhm.
Um that's a good question. Is there gameplay video on this one, Gary? I don't think
probably not.
Oh, I think on the very top there's a video on there. Um
yeah, might as well skim through it real quick. Sorry about the volume. Magnetic ball like the magic one. Yeah. I don't know. Let's see. Let's see.
Yeah. We'll see.
Some hopping. Uh
yeah,
swinging music there.
Yep.
Gary's like, "We're not going to do the music."
Yeah.
Well,
all right. Well, that was it. you don't get to see a whole lot because that's all right.
It's a teaser. So,
pretty cool.
But yeah, I can't wait.
Yeah, we'll go back down to some of the pictures. So,
okay.
But yeah, so this this these move. There's a little track that they move on. So,
all right.
Don't know what the interaction is going to be, but uh yeah,
guess we'll find out when we get to playing.
All right. I think there were one more
just some more pictures of some of close-ups of things,
right? We had one more thing we were going to read off of. Correct.
Okay. Yeah. And then uh
Oh, yeah. Some rumors here.
Some rumors and stuff like that. So,
so we're kind of looking at the middle paragraph here. So, what else can we might see? Could we see uh St. Pinball's likely to showing off? Walking Dead Remaster um on its factory tour similar to way it showed off at Elvirus House of Horrors. Um they expect to begin shipping before Halloween. Okay. So, that's
The Walking Dead
almost kind of a lock in right there it seems like.
Yeah. Yeah.
Uh let's see. They took a
Yeah, this is still what might else we get is there's still rumors. It's not confirmed that it's going to be walking down, but yeah,
locking in in terms of I don't know 90% sure it's going to be there.
Sure.
Or locking in that it's they'll show it on the tours. But yeah.
Okay. Got it.
Yeah.
Or whether or not we get to play is another story.
Uh will we hear anything about the long room with Back to the Future pit machine? Yeah. I don't know.
Yeah. Even if they announce it, it won't be like you won't get one for like three years. Like Dutch pinball ship stuff.
Right. Right. Oh, hey Cammy. How's it going?
Hey.
Yeah. We're just kind of finishing up uh some of the stuff that uh could be or will be at the Pinball Expo over in Chicago in about a week's time. Now, at this point, we're only about a week away.
Really excited about that. Uh Brittles of Fun. What do they got here?
Well, yeah. You've got a second company is going to talk about its next pinball machine.
The company, the French manufacturer, Hexa Pinball.
It said they're going to have talking about Space Hunt and also probably give us teasers of something of what goes next in their little panel.
Oh, okay. Right. You're doing great.
Mhm.
Yeah, we're doing we're excited. Uh we're doing all right. You know, like I said, only a week away. Oh, here we go. What What do we got here? Fun said, "It's fancy topper still coming for Dune. coming for Dune. Coming for Dune for the first half of 2026.
Yeah.
All right.
So, yeah, but they haven't announced anything new yet uh post Dune. So,
yeah.
But yeah, that's
we are excited.
That is kind of it.
That's kind of it for the news there, folks.
That might be the company that will release uh you know, big trouble in Little China if anything, but we'll see. We'll see.
We have no idea what they plan to do. We don't know what's coming on it. I don't know. exciting. All right. [Music]
