Hi everyone, welcome back to another DanniTeachers here on Bugs Screamin' String courtesy of Spooky Pinball. Got that merch on today, super excited. Today we are specially at the super secret pinball club to film Taxi. Taxi is one of the games I played in the finals of Indisc 2018 women's division. So it's always a go-to for me when I'm playing at our super secret pinball league. And so this video should be shared to all of those people because I'm going to teach you the secret of how I always get a few million on Taxi because I've got a very special sort of way of playing it. So just for a really quick overview and to talk through my strategy. The first thing is the skill shot. The skill shot is worth a lot of points on this game, so every game plays different, but in particular you need to choose your strategy, because you can either plunge for 100,000 each time, which is what I recommend, or you can plunge for your 25,000 and spot passenger target. So consider what you want to do for your skill shot, and I'll show you how it works when we do our gameplay. Then we want to collect all of our passengers to light jackpot. But the way I play it is that before I start collecting my characters, I shoot for the lock and then release the lock. And I use that multi-ball to then get my characters and go for jackpot. Otherwise, if you get your multi-ball, so your lock and your release, then you can go for the lock shot again, followed by the Dracula shot to get 300,000 points and then have each ramp lit for 100k a ramp. So it just depends on how your game plays as to what you want to focus on. But for me, my strategy is plan for 100,000 each time, keep staying in multi-ball, and then go for my characters and my jackpots, and that's my whole strategy. Everything else is just like little flavor on the end. Something else about our specific game, everything is standard except extra balls are off and jackpot is minimum a million and maximum two million. Because if you own one of these, you can set the maximum jackpot value. So just to keep that in mind, let's do some gameplay.

Alright, let's do a little game. So we're going to go for a spin out straight away. Anything between 25 and 100 is all good.

Get it under control if we can. I'm happy with that. Any time it goes around Pinbot, be worried. I tend to not aim for Pinbot until after I've gotten my locks. But it's okay. Anything is fine. anything except draining is fine. Sweet! Actually ended up getting pin-bopped without draining. How does that? Oh, didn't quite get Drac there. I'll go for ramps. Why not ramps? Oh, almost can't win it. The ramps work like monster fish, so in-lane ramp or ramp to ramp will actually increase your airport ride value. Airport ride value, sorry. And after five lit ramps, so combo ramps, it will light the million point shop. So it's actually worth quite a lot to go for ramps. I just tend to go for jackpots because that's just my go-to. Sometimes we just have go-tos. And that's okay. It's okay to have go-tos. Let's keep going. At this point, I would normally try and plunge for the 25. Can't believe I did it. So we got our Lola. So we are one character away Santa from actually getting our jackpot lit Ah Ah Goodness me Ah It fine

Lordy. Where's the ball going? Ah! There we go. Jackpot is lit. Let's get it. Ah! Corby, why'd you do it to me? Got it, still got it. Thumbs up, we're all good. I was worried there for a second but it's okay. Got our 2 million points. We are happy. Now, the process starts again where we can relight our passengers. They're in a different order to get another jackpot. I haven't actually gotten my multiball yet. I haven't needed to but if you're more comfortable and multiple obviously go for it. I would normally go for it. I can now. Oh, I think I make it. On our specific taxi, the ramp is really difficult to get. It doesn't like to be locked. So, not very nice, but we'll get it and we're okay. This is fine. Just gotta be conscious of where the balls are at. I'm gonna go for my lock, actually, again to get express... It's not my day to do the express lane. There we go, got pin bottom

step. I'll take it. Okay, what I wanted to do was get my 300k by getting the lock shop followed by Dracula. I didn't get it. So, lame! So I'm going to lose my progress for my two characters towards my second jackpot. That's okay. If you want to save your progress towards the jackpot and all the characters you've got in. Passengers, characters, I call them that. What you can do is shoot Lola or Pinbot, get the full three targets down on either of them. That will carry passengers, which is the target right next to Santa Claus. It can be hard to hit. And then you will save your progress between balls, or if it's your last ball, you'll get double bonus, basically. So, let's do it. Back to our spin-out.

So again, if we have used up our lock, we need to shoot a lit character, in this case Santa Claus, to relight the lock.

As you can imagine, when it's stuck on Pinbot, that's my worst nightmare. But luckily, we did it, so we're okay. Hopefully I can plunge and Pinbot will be done for me. I think I messed that up. I messed it up! It was too little. It's okay.

So the lanes up the top now are really important because we've used up our 2 million jackpot and the jackpot has actually gone back

in points to usually 1 million. So, our jackpot is worth less if we get our cab lanes up the top by where Gorby is, up past Gorby. Then we can build our jackpot back up and keep working on it. But what I'm going to do is try and get our multiple again. Come on, let's go! Can I hit the ball straight back in there? No. I've got Pinbot! Okay, apparently in this game I'm allowed to get Pinbot or... and nothing else. But because we got Pinbot, we are on good progress. back towards our next jackpot.

Well, let's totally mess it up. I'm just gonna go for Lola. Corby. Nice. Second jackpot. Carry pass and ball, pass and ball back. Give me the ball back! I didn't quite get it in time. So now to relight my jackpot, I've got to hit Lola, which I got. Now we've just got to hit ball and shot for jackpot again. I missed it, that was my fault. Got it! Oh, it didn't give it to me. It timed out just as it hit the Gorby shot. Lame! That's

okay, we can just shoot Lowell again. Third time is the charm, one would hope. Oh, come on. Nice, third time is the charm. Only 1.4 there, I hadn't built up my jackpot value Only 1.4 there. I hadn't built up my jackpot value to 2 million, which again is the maximum I have. But that's okay. I'm happy. I got my second jackpot and we are progressing in points. So now I need to hit Gorby if I want to keep going for it. Restart my way to another jackpot. Which would be nice.

It's okay. It's fine. Still did it. Got the 300k. I'm fine. This is fine. Got another carry passengers there. Because it's already lit, just got points instead, which I'm still happy with. Any points are good points in Taxi. Where is the ball going? Not meant to be. It's okay.

Or I could try build up ramps value. I could do anything. I could go for my third jackpot. I could do anything. There's lots of choice when you play taxi. And that's the nice thing about taxi.

i wanted to get the lock there lame that's okay oh lame oh oh it's not meant to be ah okay there we go lola's lit now again i'm pretty comfortable going for Lola. Otherwise, you'd probably want to get back into multi-port as soon as you can. Depends on how your game plays. I'm pretty happy to nudge on ours as well, which makes going straight for Lola easier. Less risky because I can sort of nudge- I said that as I like did not nudge it out But five million That really good That I happy with that two two jackpots and we got our express lanes we got 300k so we showed almost everything in that game the only thing i didn show is a ramp strategy now so as you saw there i got all of my passengers twice to get my jackpot right built the jackpot value up we did all of that blah blah blah thumbs up got our luck got I released got express lane one and two got the 300k that's all good there's one other strategy in this game that I never go for because I absolutely suck at it but you can go for it and it's worth a lot of points if you've ever played fish tales and seen monster fish this game works exactly the same so if you combo the ramps or get an in lane and then the ramp you're going to build up these little green squares in the middle here that's your airport ride value so you get 20k then 40k, then 60k, 80k, and on the fifth one 100k and it lights the million shot at Santa Claus. So it's very much like Monsterfish where you want to combo those ramps then shoot for your million shot at Santa Claus after your fifth lit ramp. That gives you heaps points. It's a very nice way of playing. I just suck at it but I'm gonna try and actually do it on camera and if I do I'm gonna pop it here. That ramp is like a possible combo sometimes. Just in my mind anyways. And as soon as you get that lock you're kind of stuffed. Because, you know, I'm not a fan of that. you're kind of stuffed because then you're in multi ball and you can't combo single ball

you can actually still get it in multi ball but obviously you've got two balls in play it's just a bit more inconvenient

well we're about to clear it so let's just keep going and then we're almost there as long as you don't get your express lanes you can still work towards your million point and i got the crossover combo from getting both boys on the ramp at the same time and that my friends is a million point shot so and you get your joyride because you've gone from the ramp straight into the hole and that's your mystery. So my friends, that is how you do the ramp strategy. Very, very loosely, very badly shown off. You'll do it better than I will do it. But you can see, worth quite a lot of points, especially when you get the million shot. So all it is, just combo those ramps as much as you can. You can even go drac right ramp, drac right ramp five times. Get your million and you're off to a winner. How good is that? So that That is us done. That was such a fun game.
