TL;DR

TPF 2026 recap: Spooky dominates with Beetlejuice, JJP stable with Potter, Stern quiet, American Pinball pivots to Williams classics.

Summary

WAP #56 covers TPF 2026 show highlights with Don (Spooky Pinball) and Cengiz (distributor). Spooky brought 19 games including Beetlejuice in a novel 'experience tent' setup; games held up well under heavy play. Jersey Jack had Harry Potter on display with no new announcements, though Sonic is anticipated for summer. Stern ran a Pokemon leaderboard contest with no new accessories. American Pinball (now under new ownership) is producing Galactic Tank Force with an actual sculpted tank and reimagining Circus Voltaire with LCD backglass, while pursuing additional classic Williams remakes.

Cengiz @ mid-conversation — Demonstrates Spooky's unusual secondary market strength—previous game (Evil Dead) maintains price after new release (Beetlejuice), unlike competitors

  • “Avatar LE's 8900. Oh my god. Oh, see, that's what I mean! That's what I mean. Get on the list with spooky games.”

We are pinball! What's up everybody? Don here with the Cengiz, the Cenginator, the wrath of Jagenga. What do they call you in wrestling school, dude? They call me Jenga Mania! Get ready for Jenga Mania to rain down on you, brother. We're listening to my friend Tony's band, Irreplaceable Beings. He sent along some music to use as our intro so we don't have to use the AI slop anymore. Tony Euro-Jabroni. No, no, no. The opposite of that. Thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you. Super appreciate it, dude. It's been too long. We're back with WAP. We're back from TPF. We're back with Don and Cengiz. What's going on? Man, I'm so excited. You saw everything new, all the companies, all the new stuff, all the old stuff. So I cannot wait. I'm going to interview you. Oh, perfect, because that's the level of energy that I have. It's gonna be awesome in your studio, man. I love that idea. People are like, Don, you're rich, you got two houses. How'd you end up with two houses? Here's what happened. Okay. You got three. Come on. I bought a really cheap house online when I was moving across country. Because I'm like, listen, it just has to be functional. It just has to be not on fire. So it was super duper cheap. And then after we were living there, we found out the neighborhoods we liked, and then we got a house that came on the market. But like, we didn't need to sell the old one. So like friends would stay there, we'd Airbnb it, you know, use it as a separate house. If we were in that part of town to get lunch, we would just go watch TV at the other house. It was super fun. These are things you can do in the Midwest where homes are like $100, 000 or less, you know. Wow. But I don't have a need for it now. I have a need for speed, so we're going to sell it. It's going to be amazing, man. Both houses are gone and you just sell it completely in the new spooky home. Oh my goodness. Donnie, it must be cool to be you, man. I'm just... none of this was planned by the way. No. But feel free to partake. No, but talk about it. I was a part of all of this. It is just so exciting. The way everything turned out, I'm loving it, man. I haven't even reached my final form yet. Let's keep going, man. Dude, you came in from the left few years ago and look at where you are now. You're the ambassador of pinball. You're the most likable guy in pinball. I'm a fan of yours, I love you, and I renamed your name from Donald to Donnie. Everybody calls you Donnie, and you're a part of Spooky now. I mean, nope, I have seen what has been going on for 20 years, nobody has done what you have done. I'm so proud of you. You know what made it all worth it, like the best part, was actually a TPF, because my wife and daughter actually went, we took her out of school for a couple of days, we went down there, and like I couldn't walk more than like 10 feet without someone being and we'll see you next week! We never do that, but you know what? On our last show, for the first time, this is number 56, at our show number 55, we had 5, 10 minutes of chit chat before the show began. And we have never done that before because at the beginning of our podcast, I was like, we say hello, we talk pinball. That's how I prefer to listen to pinball podcasts, but the feedback was, this is so cool, we want more Donnie and Cengiz talk, so okay. I mean, people do. We'll do that. I mean, if you can listen to what sounds like a couple of people just having a conversation and hanging out, that seems to be like the sweet spot from the feedback that we're getting. So yeah, let's do that. Yeah, we'll do that, we'll do that. Okay, so yeah, we haven't planned anything, but I'm thinking I want to ask you questions This is about all the companies at TPF because I have seen the videos you have shared everything. It looked amazing. First, your company, Spooky Pinball. My company. So how did it go? How many games did you have out there? It looked like 20 games. Yeah, 19 of them made it. Holy crap. Like, I was thinking maybe we'll do a modest 12 or something. That should be plenty. 19, including the two in the tent. We brought the beetle tent and this was an experiment. We had a canopy tent with walls and my idea was like can we get machines in there, myself and Sterling, can we put machines in there so they can actually hear them on the show floor and would it work? And it absolutely did. If you were in the tent, you could actually hear the machines so much better. So that needs to continue to be a thing, like an experience tent, you know. Like yeah, jump on the game where you can, play it, you know, as much as you can, but like go in there at least once to really like listen to everything. So you had 19 games. Yeah. And some people are still angry about show games. This is the power of show games. Make them show games. It's incredible with 19 games. Yeah. And you don't even have to be there. You have sold out. Yeah. It's so crazy. That was... And of course, you know, you go to these shows with spooky games, people come up pretty steadily to the booth and they're like, hey, where can I get one of these? What do you mean it's sold out? I'm John Pansky, your host for this edition of the PINBALL PINBALL PROJECT, and I'm PROJECT. Dice Tate comparachine, I'm a fan of the game. I've been playing it for a year and a half, and then I ended up selling it for around what I paid for. So I told the guy like... You traded that game? Well, I traded it straight across for a Big Lebowski, which value-wise was pretty much right there, and then sold the... Guys, Donnie always calls me, hey man, I have got this game, should I trade with this game? And I say yeah or no. My point was... Right, Donnie? My point to the guy was like, once the prices settle here in the next six months or so, once all the games are built, you can still get one. You can still fulfill your dream of owning a Beetlejuice and then when you're done with it you can pass it on and get most if not all of your value back. So it's still possible, you know, if you think about it in terms of passing it on later on and kind of getting the money back, you know. So, yeah, I mean Beetlejuice right now, it still costs $20, 000 and you cannot even find them for sale anywhere. Right. Now once they're all built and especially once the next one gets revealed, the price Well, I mean, the price will probably soften a bit, but they'll never be down to MSRP. No, but how are the prices on Evil Dead now? Are they still like 16, 18? Yeah, you're ambushing me here, Pansy, Evil Dead. You have to know this. You're a freaky guy. I heard one just sold for 16 or 17. Yeah, and the next game is out and Evil Dead still holds the price, so get on the list, guys. And we asked our main distro and he was like, no! The first second he was like, no! Everything is sold out. So we couldn't even get the game. The lowest price, there's nine listed on pin side, one is listed at 15, 500. That's the lowest. Here's a 20- With Topper? Uh, no. With Topper, new in box, 22, 000 firm. This is Evil Dead or Beetlejuice? Evil Dead with mods 16.5 OBO pending sale. Incredible right? Evil Dead 18, 000 pending sale. Evil Dead with mods 17, 000 pending sale. This doesn't happen when the next game comes out. Yeah. Right? I mean, just mention another company where this happens with another game, the old game. Let's take out, let's take out Jersey Jack. They came out with Harry Potter. What was the game before? Oh, Avatar, yeah. Yeah. Does Avatar cost 15 still after the next game launch? So Avatar had many more games available, however, inside. Do you think Avatar sold 1500 games? Ooh, good question. That's a really good question. You can get Avatar LE's 8900. Oh my god. Oh, see, that's what I mean! That's what I mean. Get on the list with spooky games. Just look how it's going. I mean, this is not an opinion. This is research. So that was for Avatar LE. There was only one available. Probably because most people got the CE. That's the better one. Looks like it's right around 12, 000. That's what I sold mine for. Fine. Yeah. Can I say one thing about Avatar? Yeah. Such an underrated pin. I love playing that game. It's fun. Really. People doesn't get it. I love it. I do miss it. It's cool. Yeah. I was so dismissive of it at first and then like once I played it, saw the... and you have to have the LE because you need that good topper. No, CE. CE. The CE. That's what I meant. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. You got to get a good topper. Toppers. Oh. I was expecting more from the extra color in the play field though. The prototype they showed us at the office was amazing, but I guess they had trouble making it to that standard and have it be durable. But yeah, it's a fun game. And for 12, yeah, that's fine. That's holding pretty well, actually, for the J.J.P. I made the first unboxing of Avatar and I showed the world that fluorescent thing on the playfield and people bashed me about it. They thought I was a J.J.P. guy. I'm like, no, I'm just showing you. I still have blue paint on all my stuff. I was moving some things and I found that prop bow and arrow, the bow that I use and it's covered in blue paint still. Like I'm never getting rid of that blue paint. Epic unboxing, man. Oh, man. I love it. So, Donnie, I want to share something. Yeah. And some, there will be under 1% of the listeners that will be butthurt, but the rest will be, wow, this is amazing. This is amazing, but just don't be bought hurt. Okay, just be positive. So I love pinball, right? I just wanna say, usually when we have issues with some pinball companies, it's not the easiest thing. I don't wanna mention no names, but still as a distro, when we buy a pinball machine and it has got a simple error, a contact the manufacturer and they're like, did you unconnect and reconnect the cables? Like dumb questions like that. They should have the daddy. I mean, this is the what did I have a distro line or something for no dumb questions like that? Because of course, we test everything. So Saturday morning last Saturday, no two weeks ago, he called up brothers, right? What? This is pinball brothers we're talking about, right? I'm not gonna mention anybody now, except this little part. Okay. Saturday morning. We have an I have an issue with a spooky pinball machine. Okay, so I film it, I have this group with you, with Luke, Spooky Luke, and with Buck, right? Right. Sending the video while you guys are sleeping. Buck comes back with an awesome answer, perfect. I mean, it's just how service should be. I was just, I was in love with the way they returned. And Luke calls me up, I mean, perfect service. We fixed everything in an instant, right? And Luke was like, if this doesn't work, just let me know. I will make a special component and send it to you. So, amazing, the best service in the industry. And you know how I am, you cannot buy me. If you treat me like shit, I will shit all over you, okay? So, amazing service. And we're talking there and Spooky Luke is like, yeah, so how will we talk about pinball machines? And I show him our warehouse and I show him Evil Dead. And he's like, oh, that's cool. You have in Denmark, blah, blah, blah. We're talking and then we talk about Beetlejuice. I mean, this is like under two weeks ago, all the games are sold. It's like they're worth 20, 000 Gs and everything. So he's like, how about Beetlejuice? I'm like, man, I contracted our main distro and he was like, fuck you all, no games. You cannot get anything. Damn. Yeah, yeah, nothing. That's a hot shake. And then Spooky Luke says one thing that I forgot everything about. You were there when he said this. Buck was there and he was like, Spooky said, Cengiz, if you want our games, just ask us. You will get our games! Heck yeah buddy! So yeah, they did the magic, so I will have a Beetlejuice like in three weeks. I'm gonna unbox it with the topper and everything. It's just amazing, Donny. So my special, special thanks to this company. You are a part of the company. I'm so happy. My bro is so happy. Amazing prize, amazing service. I was like, what the heck? So just share my happiness, everybody. It's so cool. But we're so happy, Donny. We're so happy. So you had this giant Beetlejuice guy. His head was turned to the side. What was that? It's a 20 foot tall inflatable Beetlejuice that they had. It almost didn't even fit in the event center. But his head was like looking down like Beetle Jesus on everybody. Like it was amazing. No matter where you were on the show floor, you knew exactly where Spooky was at. It was just a giant Beetlejuice. It was awesome. Oh man. So those games there, were there show games? I mean, did you sell those 19 games? So those games were sold by a distributor right at the launch day because they found out their allotment of games, how many they were going to have, but they had to, the stipulation And a few more. So, we'll get back to you in a little bit. So, the first question was they had to bring them to a show, and then the people that bought them had to understand that those were games that were going to be at a show. But yeah, those were pre-sold, like the launch day. Okay. But they're show games, so that's fair. Yeah. Do you know, did you check out the numbers? How many games played at the show? Because you had, I mean, people were all over the games. Yeah. So, at a show... So, I wasn't there when everybody's breaking things down, but typically, a weekend at a GUNFIRE You They fixed right there by the text and then the game that you get is battle tested and ready so Okay how did they hold up How did the software hold up Any crash any reset Great, one of them had a momentary audio issue that came and went and I don't even think needed fixed. And then another one, there was a mechanism that had to be replaced. But that was it out of 19 games that I saw. Yeah, but constant gameplay, right? Instant gameplay, yeah. There was a line of about at least two groups deep on every machine the entire time of the show. Wow. Impressive. Did you guys sell some of the other games? Good question. No idea. Donny, you're a spooky guy! I have to ask Monica. She was the one at the booth the whole time. I was floating around going everywhere. Maybe I should do this with Monica next time. She has all the answers. Morgan's probably the one that knows because she was back at the home base. Yeah. I'm like, this game is so popular and Evil Dead is so popular, maybe people would go back in the catalog and get, you know, Texas Chainsaw or whatever. You still have some of them. That always happens, yeah. Texas Chainsaw Massacre is available, Looney Tunes is available, Scooby Doo is available still if you want a brand new in box build. Yeah. Nice. All right. That was our spooky talk. Yeah. Incredible. Well done. Let's jump over to JJP. Yeah. What, what, did you hear something like, don't spend the time? Was there anything like that? No, Jack Guarnieri and Steve Ritchie were palling around the whole time there. Um, essentially Jersey Jack had the same booth they had last year. It's just, they had, uh, Harry Potter's there now. Um, but no new announcement, uh, no big mic drop, no big dick energy from Jack. We're all saying... Eric Meenard there? Yeah, he was there wandering around. Somebody sat in, I guess, I didn't go, I don't go to seminars, but somebody was in the JJP seminar and had a plush Sonic toy and just sat there with it in their lap the whole time. But we didn't hear like not one dollar out of your pocket until you see Sonic. It's gonna be amazing. Oh, man. That would have been cool. And we're anticipating that maybe sometime this summer we might see this game. But honestly, it probably just depends on the pace of Harry Potter. You know, if they're still needing to crank these out to stay on top of orders, it might be a while. As a distro info here, Harry Potter is still selling. Yeah. It's still, I mean, still to this day. I did hear, um... Got a new order, so I know. Yeah, Zach at Flip N Out said that he has CEs in stock, and then I guess arcades are coming. Man, he's crushing it with his business. I'm so happy for them. That's cool. All right, so nothing new from there. Let's jump over to the big motherlode, Stern Pinball. Stern, yes. How was their booth, man? Tell me about Stern. Who was there? So it was good. Fun Distributing was doing the booth for them this year. Marco's was over at the homebrew area. They were doing a fun little Pokemon contest. So the booth had all the other Sterns. They had Walking Dead premiums, no Walking Dead LEs. There's a John Wick there. I don't see a Venom. Last year, we saw Venom come out. They debuted the Venom accessories. No accessory dropped this time. I was really hoping they would have brought that Pokemon top. Nothing new? Nothing new. They were doing a contest. They had the leaderboards there. The top ten people that finished with the highest scores for Pokemon throughout the weekend Mike Vinister healthcare support, Jeffabs Secondary Counselor in Series 25, moisturizer, Pati Blangle, John VIP owicks, global investment insurance, income plan, irstonpo return volts, Remember now, were you at the media day at Stern? Did you see the LE? No, no, I was working, so I still have not physically seen that one. But yeah, played the premium, played the pro. Game's a lot of fun, it's approachable, I like Pokemon, so it was cool whenever like a Pokemon's discovered, and you hit the Pokedex to find out what it is, and then you hit like three purple shots and then into the Pokeball to capture it. It's satisfying when you do that. That's fun. Oh, that, yeah, that capturing effect, right? On the ramp. Yeah, and so, like, while I think gameplay-wise and rules-wise and budget-wise the Pro is probably the best way to get into this thing, it is very fun on the premium to watch the little Pokeball shake back and forth three times and then light up when it locks it. And because the flap is right underneath it, like, your ball drops right into the subway when you capture, it's a little bit more satisfying than just hitting the ramp and having it stick by a, uh, up post. So... Yeah, how, how does that work on the Pro? On the pro, you just, yeah, you shoot the ramp and then there's an up post that comes up, locks it, and then it plays through the animations on the screen. But the Pokeball doesn't shake and do that cool thing. And then it just feeds to the in lane, whereas on the premium LE, it drops into the subway and comes out of the side duck sneak in shot. Ah, it's a nice effect, buddy. It's a nice effect. The magnet's fun. It's fun to watch Pikachu put his head back and forth, though while I was playing the game, I didn't really notice that. He is scholar so now he's down on things, what's an interesting story. And a little tops flavor either don't know about it but, Anthony yeah that's hot for him. Well, he's got both of the sports. I think his content is great, but I don't see any old guys visiting Stern. What's going on, man? I was working. I was out in Maine on a long stretch when they launched this game, so I wasn't able to get to the media day due to that reason. Otherwise, I would have been there. I like Doug with Cool Toy, though, man. He does work when he shows up at these shows. We're jumping ahead to Yukon Yeti, but he brought over his streaming rig, and he waited in line, and when it was his turn to play, he captured all the gameplay footage and probably has a video out already about it so me when I'm at a show working is like the last thing I want to do is I don't drag around a bunch of equipment but shout out to these guys Vic VP is also known to do that super cool guy check out his channel he wasn't at this show but yeah Doug was in effect man yeah and Doug doesn't only do the reason Doug what do you know his last name I don't know his last name okay cool toy and the reason I I really like what he's doing. Those videos, I saw the Pokemon video and it was well lit up Playfield everything. I used that on my video first reaction. But he also does stuff with all games. That's what I love about that guy. He's not, you know, new, new, new, new, boring. So he does a great job. So shout out to CoolToy. Check his channel out. He's awesome. Yeah, yeah. All right. Alright, so the next company I have really been looking forward to listen to hear about is American Pinball. I am a real American Pinball. We should have that little clip, man. Alright, so American Pinball was the American disappointment, right? You know, they finally got a game together that we were all looking forward to and then managed to squash the pot or whatever. VMwareBlueRockStore, The Electric Playground Team is there full time, Melvin's there full time. I met Brian Vincent, super cool guy, talked to him about what he's thinking and scope and scale and everything. They didn't reveal any of their secret plans to me, but I get the sense on what they're doing. They want to go back and actually fix a lot of the issues from Galactic Tank Force, namely putting an actual sculpted tank in the game instead of just a 3D printed one. So that's kind of cool. I even heard Lior's name batted around. The idea of a Lior tank inside of Galactic Tank Force, it got my little hairs jimmying. My jimmies were getting rustled a bit hearing that. That would be exciting. So he will start producing the old games? Yeah, I think so. Honestly, I think when they bought the company, they go in there and there's like crates of Houdini Playfields, crates of Hot Wheels Playfields. So it's like, let's do something with these. They reached out to Christopher Franchi and luckily got him on loan from Spooky. We'll be right back. I heard one guy saying, American Pinball is bad baby. And I'm like, dude, what an amateur. American Pinball is not bad baby. American Pinball is 2.0. It's a brand new, different company. I know David Fix is looking for a presidential job. He's asking around. But I don't think they will rehire him again. No, not him. They're not back. They have upgraded everything. It's a new company. New energy, right? New energy. And, you know, it was not like American Pinball was something and then lost their way and then now they're back. I don't think they ever really were there to begin with. I mean... Exactly! It was trash, man! Now it's next level. Yeah. So, I mean, you know, their best game was like Hot Wheels and it's boring. Legends of a I'm excited now with what these guys can bring. I'm hearing that Nick, he was the guy, he was from Electric Playground, he was hired on at American Pinball now, he's working on a game. I hear tell that he was working on a game already and then Americans like, you need to release that with us. And this is a guy that did the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater homebrew, right? Really innovative, super cool layout. I don't know if that's even licensable, but I've seen what the guy's capable of and the way he thinks and the way he likes stuff the way I like stuff, so I think I'm going to like his game. So I may actually be getting an American Pinball game once they bring something, so that's cool. Can I say something? So right here, behind this wall, there is an American pinball game standing there, Legends of Valhalla, deluxe edition. Yeah. So I unboxed it back in 2022 and I just played 10 games. I loved it. Fine. Couple of days ago, I got it home here, updated the code. I mean, they have, that code has been updated like crazy. So I installed that. You can go in and adjust so many things and one of the things that irritated me was we had this Viking shoot the Berserker, drop down target, blah, and I couldn't hear the music and I love high volume music. But now you can put the music like 3x higher than the call out. So now I have perfect music and much more level down call outs. Code has been amazing. If you haven't played that game for the last year, you need it. Code is amazing, it's so fun, 27 modes, you can use it as a jukebox and more new songs. I am enjoying the heck out of that game. But I don't think they can make those now because when you boot it up, it doesn't say American Pinball, it says Riot Games, yeah. So licensing and all that. But whoa, Donnie played with the newest code. All of these are part of the So we're excited. They didn't make an announcement. They confirmed they're doing Circus Voltaire. There's going to be some kind of reimagined version and like just a base classic version. They're putting an LCD screen under the glass instead of that dot matrix. So I found that out. That's good. I didn't find out if it's like a 2.0 code kit they're putting in it or if it's just new graphics like what they did with Houdini. We're trying to find out these things and there's still a lot of confusion. So maybe he'll pop up on Loser Kid and answer these questions. And they cannot have the display at the display area because you have that canon game on the backbox if you have played that game. Yeah, and they said they are keeping that because I asked them about are you putting a back glass in there or LCD in the back glass. They said no because we need the components there. I asked them about those plastic frames that go around the backbox. Yeah, purple. I'm not sure if they knew what I was talking about, so that I'm not sure. But I think they're going to do a topper for the game, and so I don't know if that will incorporate that scroll look. The scroll look was very 90s, I don't know. On the right side it has got very cool neon gas lit stuff That not legal to make today What that going to be Whether it legal or not it probably expensive and you can probably get the same effect with LEDs now So I almost positive that be an LED But I don know I haven't... Have you seen neon LED signs? Yeah, of course. I've seen... They're very bright, right? Yeah, like the Cobb LEDs with a nice diffuser can give you the same effect. And that is dimmable. You can control that by voltage, I think. I have some in my game room and they can get super bright. I have a demo to dial down. Throughout the years I have had multiple of these games. I remember one of them was green on the right side and the other one was like purple or something. I think they came in different colors. Just randomly? Yeah. So the benefit of doing this is you can do RGB lights so you can change the color of it. Oh yes, yes, yes. But, well, Circus Voltaire, I mean back then, Bally Williams tried to sell these games for like $3, 500 and they couldn't sell Circus Voltaire. At one point they had like 600 of them and they wanted to sell them for $2700 and this was just an unsellable game back in 97, 98. So yeah. That's why it's collectible because they didn't sell and they didn't make that many of them and then the ones that survive in good condition go for good amounts of money. And so that's when you go on to pin side and you see that, you're like this must be an in demand game, we must need to make it. And it's like, well, maybe it's only expensive because very few are made and very few persist in good condition. You know, and it's kind of a big bang bar situation where you had to go for a lot of money, but like there's hardly any of them, especially in good condition. So that's why. So we'll see what it does sales wise. But I did hear from them that this isn't the only Bally Williams they want to make. They want to make tons of them. And, you know, maybe if there's only a demand for 50 or 100, they'll just go ahead and do it anyway. I don't know how that makes sense financially, but these are kind of like the words that are floating around the floor. And I'm like, listen, Twilight Zone, Indiana Jones. But those are licensed. They cannot make them, Donnie. Those are licensed games. Come on. What's a license, man? That's just money. Go get it. Go get it, man. Indiana Jones? Like, Bally Williams couldn't even pay Indy back then. And, you know, a game like Adam's Family, it's almost impossible. Well, the family of the, I don't remember his name. Raul Julia, I know. Yes, rest in peace, mister. But the family is like, no, his license is worth like $20 trillion, so yeah. It's negotiation, man. So when I, wait, so you are the head of this company, you want to make Bally Williams games, but all on license. What's left out there? What would you make? Fish tails, I guess. I guess. Johnny Fischels here in Denmark. It's a $2, 500, maybe $3, 000 if you're lucky. Maybe it's a $3, 000 game. Don't remake that. What about Game Show? What the heck? Game Show? No, that's even cheaper. So what's left? I mean... Honestly, like Roadshow, those kind of games? Ah, Roadshow's a cheap game. That's a maybe $4, 000, $5, 000 game. I'm thinking when they remake these games, it's not gonna cost 6, 000. They're gonna like, I 'm guessing, the remake is like around 8, 000 and the reimagined just under 10k. That's how I feel, right? Yeah, so you have to have some games like Medieval Madness on the secondary market and old Bally Williams ones. They cost like $15, 000, then it makes sense to remake them. But not a fish tails. Come on. Come on! Yeah, and I haven't heard pricing yet on them either, so it wouldn't surprise me to see like they want 11.6 for a total remaster and circus voltare. No, no, no, if they go over 10k, game over, buddy. Game over. No way. Game is over. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, and their games has never been expensive, so yeah. Let's see, did they say will it come out in 2026? They said a lot of things. I don't know if they nailed down a date. It sounds like they wanted to have something come out by the end of the year. Okay, they also mentioned that they will make a brand new game in 2026. I'm looking forward to that. I would be surprised if that makes it out. Because, you know, the company was just finalized and announced. They just announced these team member hires. And yeah, they may have had something. Well, okay, if Nick and team have had something like in progress down the road, Dave Gonzales I don't know if top... Top two guys or something and hired them, man. Absolutely. This was the genius of David Fix. He had the American Dream contest about three or four years ago where he was going to have people enter their homebrew games. And if you won the spot, you were going to get a chance to make your game and they were going to make your American dream come true. And of course, you know, Ryan McQuaid, the guy that did Pokemon was picked and then they weren't able to get the license. And then so he got put on Cuphead and made Cuphead and Cuphead was about to be released and someone dropped the ball about 10 times in a row and now it's in legal hell and can never come out and it's bullshit. It's a shame man, but you said Pokemon, you meant Sonic, right? Oh I'm sorry, yeah, Sonic. There's a Pokemon homebrew too. Yeah, yeah, he was at Sonic. Sorry, sorry. JGP got Sonic, it's coming out. I've been traveling quite extensively, sir. I just want to say I would love if American Pinball contacted us because we were distros for the old American Pinball so I hope they will send out an email saying, hey, this is 2.0. That could be awesome. So, yeah, dear American Pinball, remember us here in Europe also. Reach out to Cengiz. Yeah, say hello. That's all I have to say about that as Forrest Gump would put it. You want to talk about the star breakout of the show? The next company I want to ask you about is Pinball Brothers. Have you ever seen Daniel, the owner of the company, at any show in the US? I'm actually getting asked questions. How does he look? How is he? And I'm like, he's a good guy. I've known him for many, many years. But I think it's a bit sad that he's not at the shows showing Predator. I wish Predators were here, man. I got a Facebook post today saying like, there's only six more days left to order your Predator. And it's like, you know, send one to Texas and show up with a booth, babe, and show this game off and get some sale. It will sell out instantly, man. I think they're just over Predator. I don't even think they're excited about it anymore. And I think they're going to be another release from Pinball Brothers here in the next month or two. Look, look, look, look. That's what I'm reading between the lines and seeing. Because I keep getting these Facebook ads that tell me that they're all done with Predator, so I'm like, okay, you gotta have a new game dropping then if Predator's done. They're not marketing this game in person, they're not bringing it to the big shows, so they're obviously happy with sales and they're done, because they probably have a new one that's about to come out. First of all, some months back, I said here on this show, I was like, Predator is out. Where is all the, you know, gameplay video, this and that? And I shouted here on this channel, Pinball Brothers, go out, do something, show something. I said, do something! And something happened. Now they're like, Retro Jango, just shut the F up. And like they have been posting daily! I'm so proud of them. Daily they're showing new multiball mode, new code update, new this, new this. I'm loving what they're doing on their Facebook page. I don't know if you have seen it, but they're like, they're posting daily, Donny. I'm so, this is how you do it. I'm so proud of them. So that's great. About their next game, I cannot go into details, but I can say this. Who's building their games? It's Euro Pinball Corp, right? Yeah, Pedretti, right? Yeah. So, 31st, at the end of this month, they will be taken off the line. And another game will come in there. And that's not Pinball Brothers game. That's a Pedretti game that will come out here. So, yeah, I'm excited. Do they announce Toten yet? Or are they waiting on that? I haven't seen anything. If it's ready to hit the line, man, just announce it. So, Pinball Brothers could have sent me a Predator. I would have put it in the tent and you could have played Predator tent. We could have had to tent a Predator at the show. It would have been awesome. Were there no Predator pinball out there at TVF? None. Not one. Man. There was more Three Musketeers at the show than there was Predator. Okay, we have to do a bit more there, but they are doing something. They are present now, because before they were like, you didn't know anything, but they're doing a great job now, so I'm loving that, but yeah. So okay, next company, it's Hexa Pinball, baby. What went wrong, Donny? So yeah, so they released this game, Three Musketeers. They released it in France. Demi Lovato, All this stuff is on for this game to clear customs. Should it have been shipped a couple weeks earlier? Was it ready to be shipped a couple weeks earlier? I don't know. But they just had a sad booth with like one like EM, Three Musketeers game with wood side rails and a French lady that kept telling me how elegant the game looked but couldn't give me any real information about it. So yeah, sad, sad. Now... Did they have Brian Cosner's favorite game? No, no Space Hunts either. So what are we doing man? I thought we had a hexa booth. So the game is coming and looks like it's going to end up in the hands of Mad Pinball, which is awesome. Hell yeah. And it's going to be touring around the Midwest. So Pin Brew Fest is coming up. It's next month in Pennsylvania. And I don't know, maybe I got a day off. I got to fly out and play some Three Musketeers. We'll see. They revealed the game. I saw it. It's got an ACDC cannon in it. It's got a bunch of wire forms and things. I don't know. They gotta play it. Yeah. So, when people want to buy it, who should they buy it from? Elegance. Oh, info at madpinball.com. Go ahead and get them. They're like literally the only importer of this game. I think there's one other importer as well in the US, but Mad Pinball can get you hooked up with some Three Musketeers action if you want to get d'Artagnan into your own home. Info at madpinball.com. And who should they mention? They should mention the WAP WAP show, We Are Pinball, and get yourself a t-shirt. I've got the supplies here. I'm ready to send you your shirt out to you, brother. So if you ordered a game from Matt and used the code, you gotta email me so I know where to send your stuff. Did you send the t-shirt to... what was her name? Yeah. Helene, yeah. She out in Indiana. You sent two t-shirts to them, right? I gave her two t-shirts because she was polite, she was waiting for the move to be done. And I'm like, you know what? I'mma hook her up. Here you go. Boom. T-shirts. I'm waiting on pictures. I want t-shirt pictures. Yeah! Upload those pictures, we love it! Absolutely, and I hope they're enjoying their Harry Potter game. Hell yeah, hell yeah, that's awesome. That's awesome. So cool, man. Alright, so what was going on with Barrels of Fun? Oh, we were playing some Barrels Ball, that was fun. They had the VIP room set up, no new game launch. I'm hearing that originally the plan was to launch a game at the show, but... You know how things change in pinball. Like, if you're not ready, like, don't show it. Just wait another month or so. So, I think they got a game in the gate. I think that they're a little bit overwhelmed with those last minute dune orders that came in. And plus, they're still trying to get the Winchesters out. So, I think there's plenty to do at the factory right now. And so, releasing a game when you can't realistically start building for several months isn't a great look. So, just wait. Just wait. So, yeah, Dave and Brian, they were at the show. All of these games are available on the Winchester's Dunes and Labyrinths website. They have the VIP room as well, unlabeled, so you had to know about it. But it was cool to go in there and just play these games in a quiet room. They're the only company that's doing that, other than me and my tent with some Beetlejuices in it. So like that was cool that they were doing that. And then late at night they were doing the stall ball competitions. You know stall ball? You played this? Yeah. Yeah, super fun. So they call it barrels ball. and they should have a setting in their games that you can set it on and the game will automatically keep track of everything for you so when you get the ball to stall in an area and you're ready to switch to the next person like it'll flash on the screen tell you you're safe go or read you're eliminated and then they actually have the code set up so that when somebody does one of these stall shots either shoots into a buck and up post somewhere that the ball is locked momentarily that shot will turn red and then if the next person hits that red shot they get eliminated and then that you know that'll last a We asked for a couple rounds, then it changes back to a white shot. So it's kind of fun that it's hard baked into the code. And then we can get like 60 people in a line, and we can all go through and play this. And I made it a couple rounds before getting eliminated on the two games I played, so it was good times. Yeah, absolutely man. And to be honest, I don't think that David Van Es will do a launch again like they did with Dune. So I think it's perfect that he just, you know, ready to go. I always said to all the companies, have some games in boxes and then release the game. That's the perfect way, right? Yeah. When they were totally unannounced, when they did Labyrinth, they did have some games ready to go. And then when it came to Dune, I think they were looking at this crowded release market that was about to jump on them. And the game was probably like 95% of the way there. And they're like, we can either jump out now or we're going to be buried for months and then have a release window. So I think that's what happened with Dune. And then Winchester, it was just like, it's ready, let's launch, let's, and then they sold out in two days. So their minds must be reeling right now, like what the heck do we do next, you know? You know, we came out with a thousand games with Dune and it was kind of a lackluster launch, so we dialed it back to 500 and then they're gone. And so like, where's the point, you know? And I think the answer is you don't know, because each game is its own beast, each game releases at its own time in the market, and you know, you just have to try to read it as best you can. Absolutely man, absolutely. Alright, so talking about the cars, we have to say thank you to our great supporters on Patreon, especially Anthony Maruah, my friend, thank you for the high level of support. Hell yes, hell yes. And also Josh Cox, man, Always in the private chat with Josh Cox, cool guy. Oh yeah and we got Ozzy in there Welcome to the team Ozzy Ozzy wrote to us we said welcome and Ozzy was like well I have listened for free for too long time, I'm gonna come in and support. And he's active, he's getting his Predator maybe today. Yes dude. So the Ramp Master is getting his Predator this week, so we're getting pictures, reviews, so that's awesome. I love the chat in there. I still think Predator's a cool game man. It is, it is. But one thing I'm irritated over and I'm gonna smack it in your face now. We have all these messenger groups and sometimes when you write to me, I think it's between you and I and you write on the group with Josh Cox. So we have these and I don't know that he's in there sometimes and I, you know, We're blowing up his phone too. I'm like, what? This is with Josh in there? He's got premier access, man. That's what happens. Oh yeah, yeah. He's a collector's edition guy, so he's getting everything in there. Yeah, yeah. Josh, we love you, buddy. All right, all right. So I want to ask you about one other company, if you have the time. I want to ask you about Chris Turner. What up, buddy? oh dude did he have a good showing now um easily the longest lines of the show are for you kann yeti this was a game that was revealed like 24 to 48 hours before the show started so it was like fresh in everybody's mind and it was only two games so what's gonna happen you only had two two games so i'm glad he's open to feedback because my feedback was like eight next time brother come on you know 19 next time yeah so So, you know, people waited in line for sometimes over an hour just to get on the Yeti. And, you know, if the game wasn't looking that great, I don't think people would have waited that long. So, it wasn't like the, necessarily the popularity of the game necessitated the lines, but the fact that people were willing to wait that long just to play it speaks to how impressed people were with it. If that makes sense. When you say an hour, I mean, realistically, how long did people wait? Uh, yeah, sometimes up to an hour, yeah. Are you telling me people were waiting on a line for an hour? Yeah, because if there was ten people there... and some... there's people at the show that are quite good at pinball, and if you are quite good at pinball you can be on this game for quite a long time. Oh, my God. I mean, be a gentleman, play for a minute, and let another guy jump in, man. It happens, it happens, but you know what, people were having fun with it. My first time up on the game... like, it's not brutal. Merlin's Arcade actually plays a little bit more brutally, where you're really trying to fight to work to keep your ball. This game I was able to get balls into the multiball lock, I was able to hit the waterfall ramp a couple of times, and that was just in my first gameplay, which to me, I was very happy with myself. Very satisfied that I accomplished the two things I wanted to accomplish. The thousand dollar question. Yeah. Did you get Whitewater One vibes when you played the new game, the Yeti game? I did, you know, in Whitewater when you get up to the playfield and you're like, okay, I'm on deck here, the ball's up there, I got one shot, I want to get that good ramp. So boom, it had that. This was a lot easier to hit that ramp than I remember from Whitewater also. So that was fun. There's no Yeti diverter, but there is a Yeti pop-up trunk shot that drops the ball back to the main playfield. Does Yeti turn his head? It doesn't do it on the trailer. It does on the topper. It doesn't do it in... No, it's just a static figure inside the game on the upper playfield. The eyes do light up and blink. They'll blink red in different colors. So, supposedly, you know, he had this... He had the articulating Merlin with Merlin's arcade. People said they weren't that impressed with that. They would have rather had a physical ball lock. So, he put that in this game. But then he's like, well, we don't need to make the Yeti move because people weren't impressed with Merlin. And it's like, no, I think people just weren't impressed with Merlin, but we would be impressed with the Yeti moving. So he's learning as he goes. Nordman designed this game too. So this wasn't like Chris taking it over and finishing it. Like, you know, Dennis, the game's creator, was the one that was behind, you know, creating the game here. Did they edit anything or optimize or what's it called? Or is it one-to-one Dennis Nordman? Good question. He was there at the show and supposedly he's been, you know, he's the designer on this title. So I don't think they had to like, you know, salvage it like some other deeproot game or something that was half-baked. ANDY FAIRNESS I might end up building my own topper, but the game was super fun. Did you order one? Oh, absolutely I did. Are you kidding me, dude? Hell yeah. This is Whitewater 2, a game that I saw the foam core build of this, a picture of it, like two or three years ago, like right after Labyrinth came out is when I saw it. And I was like, dude, it exists. And yeah, and you know, I got a quick look at it and then I didn't get to save it or anything. So it's just been in my head the whole time. Like, yeah, it looks It looks like Whitewater, but like it's a mirror image even though the ramp is on the same side, like the upper playfield is reversed, but you could tell like it's a spiritual successor to Whitewater. And this game's called Yukon Yeti, it's not called Whitewater 2, Whitewater may be a Bally license, so they avoided all that. I like the gameplay of the game, I like the lighting of the game, I loved hitting, that ramp was satisfying every time I did it, it was fun watching the ball stair step up the mech. I couldn't really hear the music at all. And that seems to be what people are really hung up on. Okay. I heard the... On the back glass, you have got these... You know, back in the cowboy times where they went into the bar and bought these ladies, what were they called? Those ladies they could pay... Sarsaparillas. I don't know. There's a picture of ladies like that. And every time you hit the slingshots, those ladies are laughing. I love that part. If you couldn't hear, you couldn't hear, but I liked it. So yeah, they should definitely keep that. But the music, I remember when I heard the trailer, with Chris's permission, I got the trailer early. And when I watched the trailer, the first comment I had to you, Donny, was, is this the music in the game? I don't know if you remember that. Some 1800 piano stuff. That was it. Other than that, I'm really enjoying what I'm seeing. But it's just music. They can update it. I hope they would update it. Yeah. So we had conversations throughout the whole show because he's reading pin side comments and things that people saw the trailer, people saw the gameplay video, and we're just tearing 13 and the music apart any cell and he's just any set essentially like you know their focus was on getting the game the focus was on getting like the modes figured out killing bugs these games didn't have any problems the whole time there with the show %uh mister music was like a cable put in what we can put in their but it was at the priority and he's he's already talking about reaching out to some european ball music people to work on that part there is this guy in His hair is like the wind is blowing to the side. His hair is some turned, very good looking guy. Are you talking about our president? No, no. He did the Winchester call outs or music. Oh, you mean the dirty pool guy? Yes. Good looking guy. Yeah. He should definitely hire him, man. Jeff Dodson, is that his name? I just met this guy finally face to face and we hung out all weekend. It was great. Like multiple times we run into each other. He was running a sound booth over at the homebrew area. And yeah man, like Winchester sounds great. Does he work at any company? Is he contracted anywhere? I don't think he's exclusive. No? Okay. Maybe reach out to Jack or Jake? Jeff. I'm sorry. Reach out to Jeff and maybe he could do some of his magic. I really like what he did on Winchester. And no disrespect with the wind on the hair, he's a good looking guy, so it's only positive. I'm sure he'll be happy to hear that. Yeah, I was just actually texting him earlier. It's only positive. Yeah, he reached out after the show, so I'm trying to engage in some dialogue to see if I can help this along, because I think that's a great idea. Why not, man? Congratulations. Do you know when you, I mean the game will come out this summer, but do you have something like you will get it early or something? Oh, I just... You know it's funny, you know it's funny. So it's supposed to be this summer and listen, I got, you know, I got the heads up that this game was going to be launched. I was ready to go when it did launch and put my deposit in right away. So I'm at the front of the line and I was, he actually invited me down if I want to build it, I can come down there and do that. So, I might end up doing that. I think that'd be fun. His cabinet is awesome. Like, if you haven't seen a Turner cabinet design, the back glass, or the Playfield glass and the armor and lockdown bar are all in one piece with lights impregnated in there. And so... This guy's an engineer, so he's just optimizing. Yeah, the whole thing pops up like an old Ford, but you can take the whole lid off like a Jeep. And then it's got wheels on it so it can roll itself back down into this nice satisfying little area pocket and then click down. You can slap the top of it and say this bad boy is good for another 20, 000 miles. It's super fun. Like I've wanted to have one of his games. I just need to make my own topper for it. Yeah, absolutely, man. Okay, so I think about going there and building the game just like you're doing with the Beetlejuice? Listen, you don't have to twist my arm to get me down to San Antonio anyway. It's such a cool area down there. The food is awesome, Riverwalk is awesome, the Alamo is there. Go try to find the basement. So yeah, if I can go down there, hit up SeaWorld, Costco, Fiesta Texas, go to my boy's barn I'm down, man. I want to make it happen. Wow, man. Share it with me. And I want to say, through you, I got in contact with Chris also, Chris Turner. Very good. What a kind guy. I really enjoyed our conversations, got the, you know, early access to everything. So, thank you to you. Thank you to Chris. I'm excited about it. So, it's really, really cool, man. Yeah. He needed a game like this, and I'm glad he got it. So, this is fun. I actually asked about the CE certification in Europe, but that was not ready, so that's why I didn't order the game. Yeah, I had some conversations with him too. I even talked to a European distributor who was also at the show. And yeah, his take was essentially for those listeners in the US, the CE, the certified electronics or whatever, it's just a standard to get this approved to make sure it's not going to catch on fire or something. Your hair dryer at home has this certification. The problem is you need to build this game, send it to the certifier, pay them like $20, 000, $30, 000 for them to go through it and then put their stamp on it, which then opens the door that this game is marked to a standard, it's reliable. You can go ahead and import this game without having that certification. The problem is anything that goes wrong, if it does catch fire, does cause damage, insurance isn't going to cover it. Exactly. But you only pay the high amount first time. I mean, Stern, they just, yep, we know your stuff, bam, approved, no issue, nothing. When you're selling thousands of games, yeah, peanuts. But when you're only selling 500 and realistically 50 would go to Europe, it's like, that's an added expense for only 50 games. I'm sure he'll get there eventually, but there is like a huge upfront cost to get that done. It's not just, you know, a simple approval process. Yeah, but it's important because if anything goes wrong and it's not approved here in Europe, oh my god. Just think if you're a distributor and you're selling this game to a customer, in the back of your head, if anything goes wrong, like you're not covered. Exactly, that's all. My bro does all the distro stuff and he's like, no, no certification, no way. It's just too much risk, yeah, too much risk. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's it. Alright Tony, I enjoyed this. Do we have any other companies left? Just all the homebrewers who live in our heart and are making some awesome stuff over there. That was fun. It was a great show. Oh, there's this virtual pinball game also. What's it called? Virtual pinball game? Yeah, you know, one-third virtual pinball. Oh, how could I forget? My favorite pinball company, Multimorphic, makers of the P3 system. Yeah, anything new from them? Nothing new from them. Just their great bangers of a lineup that they had and everybody was having fun. The game of the show from last year was back in all its glory. They had two portals set up. They had a Princess Bride. I spent most of my time on Drained. You probably already know how I feel about that game, but I'm a bit of a masochist when it comes to it. I don't know what it is. I can't tear it away. Did you shoot in the middle on Drained? Oh, the only fun shot in the game drains your ball. And so I played games where I just hit that three times and then game over and I was like, success. Like I was inventing my own game that was there. You know, yeah. Okay, so nothing new from them also. Nothing new. So they have something cooking. Okay, it sounds like they have a cabinet redesign. It sounds like they have a new game that's going to be released but it's not ready to release right now. I guess it's because they're still getting caught up on the portal units. I know if you've ordered a portal module, I think your game is shipping right around now. If you ordered the whole machine with portal, that's what they're waiting on. And so, again, you don't want to release a new product when you still have back ordered. You can't make that new game yet. So I think that's why we didn't see it this show. That's fair. But P3 doesn't really make a good showing at any other show. They're at the Midwest Gaming Classic. For the l, feed me Goddamn hell! On our next show we're gonna talk about Pokemon because you're gonna have your Pokemon, I'm gonna have a Pokemon, we're gonna unbox and play it and enjoy it and make a show about it Tony. Alright buddy. I wanna see that topper dude, I wanna see that topper. Alright. Yeah. Dude. Wop. This is so much fun. Thanks for whopping again. Thanks for wearing your Wop t-shirt at the show. I'm gonna start cranking out more t-shirts to everybody. I wanna see Expo littered with Wop t-shirts. We're gonna go hardcore. If you wanna get yourself one, just email me. We are pinball69 at gmail.com and give me an address. I'll give you a Venmo or a PayPal. Send me 25 bucks. I'll send it to you. I don't care where in the world that you live. I need to know your t-shirt size though, people. T-shirt size. You got to let me know. Otherwise, I'm guessing. We are pinball. We are having fun. We can't wait for you, Kanye. We're going to be playing Pokemon. Give me some last words, Cengiz. I'm just happy. So I wish happiness for everybody. That's it.
