Okay, Stu, let's pitch a tent. Grab this pole, Stuart. Stick it in the hole, Stuart. In the hole. Stuart is the teacher's pet. Yeah. Coming to you from beautiful upstate New York, this is the Slam Tilt Podcast, a show about all things pinball. I'm your host, Ron Hallett, here with my co-host, Bruce Nightingale. Painting Xanadu, dun-dun-dun-dun, painting Xanadu. Cool, no one will know what that means. We'll have to explain that later. Welcome to episode 27 on Her Majesty's Secret Service. The only one-time Bond. Yes, the only one-time Bond. George Lazenby. Yes. I actually think it was a pretty good movie. I remember seeing it about five years ago. I was going to watch it last night. I'm sure many people think it is because it's a more serious Bond. He gets married to Diana Rigg. And yes, oh God, you just, spoiler alert, okay, spoiler alert. No, I just spoil it right off. You spoil it right off. Yes, she dies in the end. Yes. Well, if you've seen the next movie, which we won't mention yet, but the next movie he's going after her killer at the beginning. But it's on him. Yeah, Sean Connery. They broke the bank to get him back for one more. Yes, they did. Yes, they did. We're on Her Majesty's Secret Service. It also didn't really have a theme song. It had generic music at the beginning, and it had a Louis Armstrong song. Yes. We Have All the Time in the World. This is actually a good song. I like that song. And that's, yeah, they just had generic music. And it has the downer ending. Yeah, well. So, Ron, how have you been lately? Sick. Yes, I hear it a little bit in your voice. Yeah, I'm sick. Yeah, I felt it coming on Sunday. And, yeah, actually, it was good that Monday was a holiday for me where I work because it let me stay home all day, which was the best thing for me, honestly, because I felt like shit. Shot. Yes. So I worked on the Harlem Globetrotters, but we'll get into that later. So let's see. What do we want to start with? We can go news of the week. All the news that's fit to print. Pigs in space. Space. pinball done quick yes was this past week raised over fourteen thousand dollars congratulations to everyone who contributed and congratulations to all the people who played there were some really wild scores and they're including a 2.2 billion on star trek two okay i saw the one billion by timmy and then someone beat him at like 1.2 billion there was a two billion billion Who the hell got $2 billion? I forget. I can look on it really fast. That's insane. Yes, it is. I totally agree. Are you sure it's $2 billion? I'm looking right now. Because I thought Timmy had like $1 billion and then Austin had $1.2. Sorry, $1.9 billion. Okay. $1.9 billion. And it was Austin Mackert. Okay. So that was the game. Yeah, he got the five-year mission, which I'll never see. No. No. Not with extra balls off anyway. Yeah, we don't believe in extra balls in this country. Yeah, we believe two balls is enough. Well, three balls is enough, yeah. They're all spent. They're all spent. We believe in two balls and one extra for three. Yes, yes. So very good job. Very good job, everyone. I know a lot of people took a lot of time out and a lot of effort into it, and it was really well done. Everyone who was involved, I personally thank you for benefiting from Preventing Cancer Foundation. very good cause. And the whole thing did. They raised more money than they did last year. Yes, that's a big thing. Because Pinball Done Quick was part of the whole Games Done Quick thing. Excellent. Excellent job. And our own Tim Balls was on there. Tim Balls, yes. He was heavily involved. So was Mr. Bowden. And Joe Saeed and Kevin Manning and others. I don't know fully everyone there. You know what's funny? When Kevin Manning was there, I think one of the announcers called him Kevin Mann. I had to laugh there. I thought that was – it's like they called him Kevin Mann. I think the same person called Steven Bowden Steven Bowden. Oh, right. Excellent. Yeah. And you see, the problem is they're too nice to correct them. I would have been like, no, that's not my name. I'm not Hallett. I'm Hallett. And we have late breaking news. This happened maybe three hours ago. Yeah, about three or four hours ago. breaking news new ghostbusters code yes tons and tons of bug fixes it appears yeah we'll see if it all works i i hope it will because for all these people who are so invested in this game i'm hoping it will i'm invested i'm hoping it will i'm hoping it will for you too i don't know if it will but it well supposedly there's a lot more voice calls extra animations all kinds of new stuff they still didn't do the one thing I'd really like to see, which is... Burn it? No. Why? So mean. So mean. A couple other people actually mentioned the same thing on the Pinside thread, that when you get into multiball, if you're in a mode, it will continue to play the mode music. It will not play the multiball music until the mode ends. Hmm. I believe the multiball music should trump the mode music. What do you think? It does that in almost every other game I can think of. I sleep during that game, so... No. So mean. Who are you going to call? Ghostbuster! Also a guest, a former guest we had on the show, Chris Bucci. He mentioned it during our podcast. He's working on tidying up the John Trudeau interview. No, that's very cool. Releasing a whole piece on Ghostbusters. It's pretty cool. He asked for my input. I feel honored. I feel very honored. Very nice. Let's see. What else do we got? we also had InDisc. InDisc, yes. Which people are like, what the hell does that mean? It never drains in Southern California. And it was the weekend that me and Bruce were going to be there for the Banning Arcade Expo show, but they moved that, but they accommodated InDisc. And the winner of that, well, the top qualifier was Keith Elwin. Of course. The winner of the Classics was Keith Elwin. Keith Elwin. and the winner of the main tournament was the tournament co-director Carl D'Python Anghelo and the guy who brought all the cameras and all the equipment there to film everything which has to be a pain in the ass because he had the screens up in front of every game cameras in every game he was trying some stuff like instant replay which was pretty neat that was that's what I was watching, what was that, Sunday night? that's the cool thing about the California show if I can't sleep, it's like that's probably still on Yeah, it is. Oh, yeah. Look at that. That and, like, Chicago Expo would probably still be on. So I think they still finished late, even with their new format, the Chicago Expo, if I recall. Yes. Because Keith Edwin played, like, Hand of the King for hours or something. We got a shout-out today in one of the – they were talking about bad Gottliebs. And there was an arcade with, like, nine arcade games in it on Facebook. And the only two were there were Gottliebs that were working still. surprise surprise got leave system threes and somebody shouted out uh uh somebody doesn't like got leave system threes podcast and and then i was like yes i i said like and then uh and then somebody went right afterwards oh my oh my so what what games were they bruce uh they were bad that's all that matters they were wow just poor well just no respect there's no respect for those games They suck. So mean. So mean. It's the truth. You got too much hate in your heart, man. You got to be like me. You got to be just go with the flow. You never see me angry ever. Right? Right? I have. I never meant. No, no, you haven't. It was an illusion. An illusion. Yeah, that's got to be it. That's got to be it. It's got to be it. So that was the news. And this may be a shorter podcast just because Ronnie's sick and I don't know if my throat's going to hold out. He needs to put something down his throat. Oh. Wow. Wow. He had to go there. You know, I said that, and I'm thinking, is he going to go there when I say that? Of course he is. Of course he is. Our listeners would expect nothing less from you. Nothing less at all. God. Jeez Louise. So we do have our top 16. For the true New York State Championship. All of New York is invited if you played up. All of New York is invited. This is not the New York City Finals. We have the New York State Finals. Yes. And they have solidified unless someone doesn't show up, which Jeff Harrison is hoping. JT is hoping for. JT is praying for. He's praying. He might take someone out. Here we go. I am the number one seed. I'm going against the 16th seed of Stephanie. I hate saying your last name because I'm afraid I'm going to screw it up. Gaida. Gaida. Eric Russell is going against Jason Floor. They're going to probably be driving down together, so one person is not going to be happy going home. Oh, that's interesting. They've got to play each other in a drive-in. And that's one will get eliminated and one will leave. It is double elimination, though. It is double elimination. That's the good thing. Tim Sexton, our own Tim Balls, is playing Dave Romanowski from Buffalo. Levy is playing Dave Cohen from Syracuse. Levy is one of the New York City guys. Our own Steven Bowden, fun with bonus. He's got a hard challenge. He's got Ian Hauerer. Spell it. H-A-R-R-O-W-E-R. Yeah, okay. Yeah. Yeah, thank you. Ian's from Canada. He's coming down with Jeff Teolis, so they're going to be coming down from Canada. A. And hopefully Jeff will be taking home a game from me. A.A. A.A. He'll be taking home, hopefully, a little poker tour. Howard Levine goes against Greg Pavarelli. That's the Orange County versus New York City challenge. Jeff Teolis goes against Zach. That should be a good battle. Zach Fry. Zach Fry. And our own Ron Hallett gets to pick the first game against Alberto Santana. Probably one of the top three to five players in New York State. So I think Ron's hoping for somebody not to show up before that. No, no. It's not elimination. It's not elimination. I'll get him in the loser's bracket. Don't worry. And Alberto will put me in a good mood. He's always smiling. So I won't even get mad as I'm losing. This is true. That's the way I look at it. And JT Harrison is our backup. Backup. And if we lose two people, the rankings will shift upwards, and then the 16th spot will be blank. So what are the games? Because I actually don't even remember. Kiss, Game of Thrones Premium. Which Kiss? Stern. Oh, God. Okay. Fun House. Medieval Madness. Walking Dead Premium. Barbed Wire. Delta Queen. Iron Man. Still going on the list. Oh, my favorite game of all time. High Roller Casino. Turd. Turd. So it's like a, it's like a sternament. Almost a sternament. Oh Mr Bowden going to have he going to be enjoying that I think I know That why you go against them You know Funhouse is you know another Williams thing you know It going to be hard It going to be different It going to be enjoying that I think I know That why you go against them You know fun houses you know Another Williamson you know It going to be hard It going to be different It going to be definitely enjoyable hopefully Best of five each round. So you want to jump out early. You want to take them down. You want to take them down. Use the force, Luke. Use the Schwartz, Luke. May the Schwartz be with you. And it'll be a nice long day. I'm going to be, actually, 7 o'clock. Dave Romanowski is meeting me here at my house, and we're going to load up three games in the back of his truck plus one game in my car. And I've actually sold nine games, guys, in one week. And you are down to? Twelve, personally. So what are the twelve? What are the twelve angry games? The twelve angry games are not going to be – I'm going to make a special podcast in two weeks telling you exactly what's left in the house because by two weeks from now, that will be it. That will be the games that are in the house for now. We're painting Xanadu. That's what we came up with before. I was painting Xanadu because we are selling the house. So nobody knows that except for, of course, Ron. Ron wasn't too surprised. Just now it sounded very confident. We are selling the house. So I'm painting the walls. Painting the floors. Ceiling everything. Everything. And then once that's all done, I'm going to move the games and fold them all up and keep them downstairs folded up. Then we're going to stage the house upstairs. I was going to move all the stuff out of the house so it's ready for showing, and then show the house, and then sell the house. I put those games on pallets when you have it down there, just in case. I don't have flooding in my house. Okay. I don't. And plus, all the walls are going to be drylocked now, too. Oh, there you go. So if I flood, I'm really screwed. So that's been my repair week, because actually that's all I've been doing is setting up games and getting them ready. So I tore down 8-Ball Deluxe today. That sold today. as soon as I talked about it with somebody. Grabbed it right away. I'll tell you what I sold so far. Skateball, gone. Future Spa, gone. 8-Ball Deluxe, gone. Taxi, gone. World Poker Tour and Timpsons, gone. Monster Bash, gone. We're not selling Monopoly, though. Monopoly is staying in the house. Yay! I'm one of the few fans. Yay! Monopoly. And it's a rare one. It's only one of 40. It's a platinum. It's actually Stern's first LE. I'm keeping that. It's actually a documented one. We'll see what happens. Maybe later on I will have to sell. Blackjack, gone. Before I sold Embryon, I sold, what else did I sell? I sold a couple others, you know, so. I still got one game left, boys and girls, for you to buy. And that is? Freedom Firewood, baby. Poor Freedom. If not, I'm parting the bitch out and it's going on the fire pile. The fire pile. It will truly be Freedom Firewood. Or maybe I'll keep the play field and I'll be able to put it in another valley, like a universal swapper. Universal swapper. Okay. I got the trophy. The trophy is now officially in the hands. It's actually on our 2016 Upstate New York Pinball IFPA tournament on Facebook. Trophy's on there. The listings are up there. If you guys are in the area in Binghamton this weekend, come on down. Come down to Vestal. Yep, check out where the Vestal Virgins are. Yeah, brother. Oh, that's bad. Here's another funny tidbit. We have a WWE LE on location in Buffalo, New York. Okay. Yeah, do you believe that? Where is this at? It's at the other arcade. It's, where is it? Hold on, give me two seconds. I'll pull it right up. The other arcade as opposed to the, what's the other other arcade? Well, one is Pocketeer. Pocketeer. That's the one. Kevin just posted it a few minutes ago. Waiting for it. It is at World Hollywood Entertainment. They have a Terminator 3 there, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Iron Man. Brother WWE. LE. World Hollywood Entertainment. Yep. That almost sounds like a porn production company. It is. You didn't know about that? Oh, okay. That's what I thought. They have 11 pins there now. So clearly they must have Playboy, like every version. Nope. No? Nope. That's rare. You don't see many of them out in the wild. The only one I know that I actually can play is at Papa. Papa has one. They have an LE? Yes, that's what I played at Pemberg. Dear Lord. I crushed on it. I got $124 million. There you go. It's your ace in the hole. Yeah, brother. It's your game brother. Yeah, he's on it. Yes, he is. Let's see. What else do we have? So that's most of the news. Oh, one little more tidbit. I don't know how many of our listeners would be interested. As you know, the all-tech MPU board is what a lot of people get to replace their acid, damaged, completely blown-out Bally and or Stern MPU board. There's problems with that. Well, some of the issues are, as our friend of the show, Scott, has brought up, is you can't use custom code. Like, if you have custom versions of games. Like, Scott has all his Stern games, he has free-play versions up. Yes. Which you would prefer to have on there, but you can't put them on there. They're not on there. It gives you no options for stuff like that if you are a person who likes to play. So Andrew S., I can't remember his last name. He's actually the guy that usually does my board repair, who on a previous podcast I said he couldn't do it because he was busy working on a project. Well, that project was realized when he announced his version of the Valley Stern MPU board is coming out. He's selling some prototype boards to get the thing rolling. They're going to be $150. I think I'm going to buy one. I'm going to talk to him. They're like $40 less, and they come with just two spots for, what is it, 2732 ROMs? I hope I said that right. For two. 2732 ROMs. So you can make all the custom stuff you want and put it in this board. Yep. So for those who want to do stuff like that, here's a cool option. Yes. Plus they're new. Plus they have NRAM in them also, so there's no batteries and anything like that in there. They're using a 6802 CPU board and CPU instead of a 6800 like the originals. Now, it has dip switches. I looked at the board. I mean, are they – They're solder dip switches. Yeah, see, I don't like that. I think that'll hurt it. I know. I think that'll hurt it because I saw that. I don't know. For B for Bally and S for Stern. Yes, yes. I don't really – You're going to lose people with that. I know. It's mechanical switches. That's what it should be. Or do what the co-alt bores do, the Williams replacements where they have the jumpers, but they come with a shunt so you can move them around. Yeah, yeah. You physically move them as opposed to solder. Just like the Altex do, too, when you go from Bally to Stern. Well, no. Well, they have actual dip switches. No, they also have the jumpers. There's jumpers on them. Oh, yeah, you're right. You're right. That's right. Of course I'm right. Of course you're right. You're always right. So, yeah, I don't know why he didn't do that. I don't know. Maybe he will change that. I hope he does listen to us. Yeah, because if you're switching back and forth, you don't want to have to keep soldering and desoldering every time you want to do the jumpers. Unless I'm not looking at the photo right, but they looked like solder-type jumpers. We just got an updated thing. Tonight there's a, right now actually as we're speaking, there's a three-strikes tournament in Syracuse right now at Wizards Arcade, Wizard Pinball. and Jason just came out and said I just gave Eric a taste of what's in store for him in the Upstate Championships tonight. Trash talking already. Trash talk. Should you trash talk to the guy who's driving you to the show? It's usually the other way around. Eric won't drive. Jason has to drive. Oh, okay. He has to take the insults then. Yes. All right. So that's what I just watched. It just popped up on my Facebook feed so I laugh at that. You know, ha ha. Ha ha. All right. Oh. No, no, no, you aren't. No, you aren't. You said it with an epic beatdown. Epic beatdown. Yes. We'll see. We'll see exactly. Yeah. Yeah, brother. Yeah, brother. So we got some mail. Yes, we did. Crikey. Crikey. Oh, I'm sure he loves that. Crikey, mate. How you doing? Ryan C. from Australia. Yes, hi, Ryan. How are you doing? Hi, Ryan. We apologize for Bruce's accent. Vegemite. I love Vegemite. Men at work are awesome. I actually have had Vegemite. ACDC is awesome. BG's rule. I don't know how many more Australians can I think of. Olivia Newton-John is awesome. Xanadu. There you go. Yes, Xanadu. We go back to the thing. Xanadu. What's it called? What's the crocodile hunter? Yes, the crocodile hunter. You got his email up? I do not. The coordination is awesome as usual. Well, you were the one that brought it up. I was just sitting here going, okay, Ron's going to run with it. Yes, Ron's going to run with it. We got it. Well, the funny thing is, guess how he worded it. It said, good day from Australia. See? Yeah. So guess what? He's just falling right into my trap. He liked the latest episode with Mr. Bowden, And he said what I said about tournaments ruining enjoyment of playing certain games is why he's reluctant to go to competitions. That does happen. I agree. It is a shame for, you know, not wanting to, but I understand it definitely. He said once he gets to the wizard mode, he really doesn't want to own the machine anymore. He'll always own Wizard of Oz. He'll always own Hobbit. He'll always own Simpsons. Simpsons, he'll always own Lord of the Rings and he'll always own World Poker Tour. Yeah, that's why he says he's been through so many Bally Williams games since starting his collection. So now you go to the nice Keith P. Johnson rules and guess what? You'll keep him forever. But at the end, he says, can you guys recommend any other post-1990 games that have balanced scoring and deep rules? Something I can play like Star Trek that doesn't have crazy multipliers like The Walking Dead, Kiss, Ghostbusters, and Game of Thrones. It's funny. The one game I'm thinking of with somewhat deeper rules has an awesome multiplier. You got anything for him? I like Lord of the Rings. It's really Lord of the Rings, I would say. Well, he's saying... It's that other post-1990 games that have balanced scoring and deep rules. The rules, the scoring on Lord of the Rings is fairly balanced between modes. They're mostly even. if multiball just multiball you know you keep the multiball going you'll you'll do forever and it's got the deepest rules out there all right lord of the rings definitely god home run mine will never leave i will pick i'll pick a williams game even though it does kind of have a crazy multiplier but still whitewater oh you're all right about that because i mean it has several different things. It has the rafts, you get the wet willies, it has the trying to get the five times play field right before you start multiball, it's another major thing you can do, and then of course it has the vacation jackpot. That's at least three major tasks to try to get to. And it's fairly deep, I mean, it's got some depth to it for like a 1993 game. Okay, guys, that's one that's staying. oh hey hey hey that's a little tidbit damn it what do you mean damn it my dad wants one yeah Yeah well go fish Go fish We also had another email We did? From Russell. Which one? I think this was just Eric Russell. It's just Eric Russell. All three of your guests were terrible and very difficult to tell apart. Our three Eric Russells were all terrible. Yes. From one Eric Russell. He says, thanks for having me on. No problem, Eric. Yes, we do. Very much so. Anytime. And we'll have you on. You're going to be on our YouTube channel. I'll be bringing the camera on Saturday. Well, might as well. We got at least, what, three of our guests there? Yes. We got Tim. We got Eric. We got Mr. Bowden. So you got at least three of the guests we've had there. And we've tried to get number four on, but he doesn't like us too much. What, he doesn't like us again? Zach. He doesn't like coming on the show. Oh, Zach. Yeah, he's shy. The healer's not coming. Okay. What does that have to do with anything? I thought he doesn't still like me. Everyone likes you, Bruce. I'm so lovable. Yes, you are so lovable. I might go to tournament. Oh, the tournament? Yeah. Yeah. I really have no... I mean, they're turds for a reason. They are turds. I don't really want to play hook in a tournament. Well, this has actually got the new version of the software for Hook. So actually, when you hit a ramp and you hit it again, the scoring goes down. Scoring goes down. You know how in Hook you can go 100,000, 200,000, 500,000, and then it goes a million, and it goes a million, and a million, and keeps on adding up and adding up? And the new version of rules that just came out a couple weeks ago, it's one million to start, and then it goes downward. And where can you get this code? It's actually Stern approved now. Yes. and you can get it from Stern? No. It's like... Oh, God. I have to do everything here. It's like pinballcode.com Something like that. Yeah, he actually has a site where you can get it. Of course, if I'm wrong about the pinball code name, then I'm screwed because... Let's see. Pinball code. Let's see if I guessed right. Okay, there is a site. Money, Penny. I got it. I got it, number one. Oh, I went into... Oh, yeah. Sorry. What the fuck are you going with? I got confused between Patrick Stewart and Sean Connery. Yes, it's pinballcode.com. Don't you know I'm drunk? He's drunk. Actually, the first freaking code they have up there, Hook, version 5. There you go. There you go. So the scoring is actually opposite. Trying to make some – I noticed at It Never Drains in Southern California, they were using his version of Jurassic Park. Yes. So almost no one got multiball, and there was no smart missile. They had that deactivated too. so they were just watching people do modes. They also had Wipe Out. You would have loved it. Oh, wow. Right? Is that one of your favorites? Have you named that one yet? No. Yes, I have, actually. I have. They had Wipe Out there. Wipe Turd? Wipe Turd. Wipe Turd. Turd Wipe. Yes, Turd Wipe. Butt Wipe. Yeah, that is a butt wipe. It's a butt wipe. And we got, let's see, what else do we got here? Games you like, games you hate. Would you like to go first, or would you like me to go first? I'll go first. Okay. Game you like? This is one you picked in the past, so I'm kind of ripping you off. But I hate it, too. Escape from Lost World. Yeah, it's pretty bad. Yeah, it's another one of those. I'm going through all those valleys, the thing I can never remember. So you're hating 6803s. 6803s, yep. All the plastic, all the ramps that you can't make because their flipper mechs suck. Yes. Yeah. They do have lots of lights, though. They do. And a stupid control pad thing. Game I like, and I don't believe I said this, which I can't believe. It's one of the first ones I would have said. Because I know I said high speed at some point. But I don't believe I said Iron Man. Oh, yeah. Great game. I don't know why I missed that, Iron Man. It's a stern that has shallow rule set that I enjoy, where it's just got the couple, the thing you're trying to get to the do or die in Jericho. And that's it. And that's good enough for Ron. You just got to set the game apart. Otherwise, it'll become a problem. And I love it. I miss mine. I had strong flippers where I can hit the ramps each way. I had it raked at 7.2, and I'd still hit the ramps perfectly. It still would do it. So Brucey likes it hard. Oh, my. Oh, my. Oh, my. Okay, Bruce, what are your games? Okay, game I hate. We're going 6803. Really? No Gottlieb? No Gottlieb. 6803. Heavy Metal Meltdown. See, I played it before and it's goofy enough where I kind of was digging it. No, it's just terrible. It really is. Heavy Metal Meltdown! Yeah, tell them to crank it up. Crank it up! Yeah, God. As goofy as Radical is, it's fun. As goofy as this game is, it's terrible. It really is. Shots are not that great. Just nothing. Nothing. Fail. Fail, fail. Game I like, and I'm jealous because one of my local friends who actually we own a half a game together, which is Mr. Neil Parrish, picked up a Sorcerer, Sorcerer, Sorcerer. Excellent fucking game. System 9, one of three. One of three. Kick-ass. Name the other two. Comet. And Space Shuttle. Correct. You win the pinball trivia. Great game, though. He just cleaned it up. It looks incredible. I told him, even though I'm not buying games right now, if he sells, I'm in. Really? You like it that much? Yes. I always found it too easy. Well, you make them hard. Actually, the one in pockets, you can make it hard. Yeah, but I played the one at Pockets here. I got a huge score on that in the tournament. That's not set up hard. Okay. Well, how do you set it up hard, Bruce? You rake the crap out of it. 7.5. So that ramp is so hard to hit. All right. And you actually disable the lane switch. Disable the lane switch? Yep, up top. All right. So then you actually have to get A, B, C, or D. like the old fashioned days. So you have to modify it to make it fun. Yeah. Don't you do that for other games when you're in tournaments? I don't think I'd ever. I wouldn't disable the lane change on Firepower or something. Oh, I would in a second. Oh, no. No. It's the first game with lane change. How can you disable it? Come on. Very easy. Disable. Disable. Alright. So that's our games. I have two games we can actually I'd buy that. You would? All right. Let's see. Let's see. I got to bring this up here. Let's go for it. Okay. Got to get my eBay right now because I had them watched. Okay. First one. Ticket number 282327468095. Got to leave system one. So this is going to throw everyone off a little bit. Sinbad. Ooh, where is this at? Unfortunately, it's on the other side of the country, so not close to us. Oh. Irvine, California. It's got a whopping one picture. No, it's got more pictures below. Oh, it does? Oh, it's got a lot of nice pictures. Oh, it does? Okay. It's got cabinet pictures and everything. Oh, yeah, it does. I apologize. Beautiful pictures, actually. So... Back glass is perfect on it, too. So buy it now for $750. And it's starting a bit of $500. The backlash is cracking, but it looks pretty good. I've seen worse. So that's definitely one. Go to the next one. And we were just talking about it three minutes ago. Sorcerer, sorcerer, sorcerer. It's in Lesby, Maryland. And the number is? ticket number 1422 48019835 starting bid is $1250 $1250 which is on the high side buy it now if you want to buy it now it's $1750 no one's going to pay that a lot of nice pictures on there see the pictures here and clicking on them and nothing happens because I'm taking up all the bandwidth yes you are Damn good. Oh, I think it's just you can't zoom in on them. No, you can't zoom in. Okay. But it's nice looking. I would definitely like to get more pictures, definitely, just to be safe and sorry. There you go. And there's 19 people watching it? Yep. So those are two games definitely that would be really good to have. So repairs, Ron. Tell me about your repairs. Hold on. Let me go to mine. My repairs are wrapping up my games and selling and painting the basement. That's my repairs. Your turn. My turn. Okay. Yes. I know Ron's got a rant. Yeah, well, okay. So I started one day when I felt like shit anyway. I started to get more into the Harlem Globetrotters, and I'm going through all the mechs. And, you know, I go through the slingshots, and they're sort of the same. It's like I'm most games. two-piece unit. But when I got to the Eject Max, it's like, what were they thinking? They have it like on a plate? Yep, with a spring. All these loose parts all over the place. They got like five washers you have to thread through and take these stupid Eclipse, which are horrible, trying to get off. Oh, the Eclipse are junk. They're junk. Oh, and it's just, it has so many little parts. As opposed to, like, the Williams games I've worked on, even the old Stern games I've worked on, which they all used a similar eject, where it's just like a bracket with a coil, a plunger, and then a second piece with the actual eject arm, whatever you want to call it. And it was just a pain in the ass. Pop-upers were the same as almost anything else. then I got to the inline drop targets. Oh, what a pain in the ass that was. Oh, they are. I don't know if they're regular drop target mechs or this way. Just the Harlan? Just the Harlan? Yeah. They're all the same. Because, you know, I took the coil off, which you can see. In order to get the mech out, you've got to get the coil and the switches off, or else you're going to desolder everything. So on the sterns, it's a bitch to get the coil off, but easy to get the switches off. Now this one was the opposite. It was easy to get the coil off but the switches, you take them off and they're screwed into little plates that go inside. So when you take the screws out you'll hear a plate drop. Like what was that? And when you have to put it together again it's just a nightmare. It's a mess. It is. I'll be the first to admit it. Actually I was playing on a Harlem one for Mr. Nick. I replaced all four of his targets. It took me 20 minutes to replace all four. Once you've done them, it's easy. It's actually a pretty easy setup. You just got to refresh yourself on it. Like adjusting the heights for them is really nice. So that one plate. Yes. I can open it down. Yep. Perfect. Yep. Which I'm going to have to do on mine because mine was up too high. And balls are actually getting stuck up there. Yep. So I did that I got the ribbon cables for my firepower So I got all four displays up on that Trying to think if I done anything else I put an order in to get the little mini light boards for my big game Because I'm just going to assume that the ones that are in there are trash. Wow. So I'm going to replace those. So it'll be much easier. We didn't tell them how we fixed Zach's lockdown bar like you did. uh we didn't i don't know if we did or didn't well if we didn't it wasn't really it wasn't like totally rusted type setup like mine was yeah it looked like just the the arm thing the the lever the lever just snapped at the uh the same place mine did like at just the screw so obviously it was too too hard to to open so it must be a little bit rusted but it's not like my my receiver bar was completely brown, rusted through completely. This one was not like that. So we got a straight-edged screwdriver and some persuasion, and off it came. Oh, Ron. Yes. Happy Multiplication Day. Happy Multiplication Day. Two times two is four. No. It isn't? It was when I went to school. Yeah, well, one times 17 is? 17. So what is today? 1, 17, 17 Oh, that's bad No, guess who posted this Yeah, who posted that? Bowen Of course he did He's a math whiz I love his math Goodness Goodness gracious me Of course, unless you're on a stern Then 1x and 2x Is 3x Well, that's actually addition And 1X is nothing It's no X I always like that That they have a 1X on there And it just starts at 1X Which means no X, really No X, yes Pretty unique way of doing that I agree Excuse me Yon number 2 Was it 2 or 1? Yep, it was 2 Wow Yep The Yon count is at 2 So what else do we got here? I think that's about it Really? Yeah. Yeah, Ronnie's voice held up. Yes, it's very good. And I think it's one of our shortest podcasts ever. Not really. Yeah. Eh. 55 minutes is our shortest, right around there. We're at 46 right now without the... But who's counting? Oh, me, always. Of course you are, just like you're keeping track of all the games I picked. Yes. Except when you're not. When I'm not. Not since 12. Not since 12. So let's pay some bills. Let's pay some upcoming events other than we have the state finals. Sorry, the upstate finals. The real finals. The real state finals. What else do we got coming up? There's also the actual regular state finals, which are on February 11th, which I'm the only one in out of our group, I think, besides Tim Sexton. Tim Sexton picked Connecticut. and Steven Bowden picked New Jersey, and I have picked Massachusetts, and my challenger, of course, is Lime and Sheets. Very good. Yes. Where's the New York State one? Did they announce where it's going to be at? It is at a person's house right around, like, within five minutes of Modern. Cool. Yep. So there'll still be no parking. There's still no parking, and it'll be tight because 16 people being in, like, an apartment-style house, you know. Cool. Well, actually, there is. Near Modern, there's parking. Oh, there's a lot of parking around there. But, you know, it costs money. And usually there's a... Everything in New York City costs money. Well, no, when we parked there, we didn't pay anything. Yes, we did. No, we didn't. We drove around for like 30 minutes when we finally found a spot. Yeah, because it was Sunday. Or it was Saturday. On weekdays, yes, you're going to pay. All right. Well, we got... There is at least one parking garage there, I know. But the thing is, they close at a certain time, so they better hope it doesn't run long because you've got to get your car out of there and then park it somewhere else. I know that happened during, I think, the Stars Tournament. It might not have been the Stars Tournament. It was one of the tournaments that they had where guys had to, like, I've got to move my car. So www.pinballlifter.com, come check us out. all the good stuff, including your lifters, helpers, tilters, wheels, creature from Black Lagoon accessories, and mods. The tournament coming up. Turd-ament. I go on when I talk about tournaments. That's March 4th in Pocketeer. It's hosted by Buffalo Pinball. You were just talking about Rock Fantasy having their Batman open house. Yes, they're having a Batman launch party on... What date is it? Get up here. This we can edit. No, we're not. Fuck you. The winter opens February 18th. Ah, okay. And February 4th is the Batman launch party. There you go. Other than that, anything else exciting going on? We got two months, Ron, from today. Two months from today. Yeah, that will be at the Arcade Expo? Yes. Okay. Ron actually threatened me a couple days ago saying, I don't care what it takes, you're going. You're going. I had to, like, rebook the tickets. Yes, I know. I'm going. We're going. Damn it. Yes. California, here we come. California, here I come. But we're probably not going to get to play Archer because he's working for Stern now. Maybe it'll show up, who knows Oh, and also the 26th Hold on, let's do Pinheads Syracuse Pinheads is having their tournament The one year bash That is on January 26th 4.30pm Thursday That is the one year Anniversary bash You get to have Louisiana style Creole soul food and also there's going to be cake there. And you can eat it too. You can eat it too. Jason beat Eric. So Jason's now going to confirm that he is going to take the whole Upstate New York championship. All right. You heard it here first. That's our prediction. Jason Floyd is going to be the Upstate champion. So in other words, the actual New York state champion. Yes, which is I still for a couple more days. Yes, you are the main point tour. in upstate. No, I actually won last year, though. Oh, yeah. Where was that? That was at, uh, what's it called? Level zero? Level zero. No collision there at all. No, wasn't at all. I had to beat a 50th ranked player twice. And played a insanely long game of Black Knight 2K, which basically solidified in my mind that it had to go. That was the moment it's like, yeah, that needs to go. It was only a 30-minute game between the two of us. Yeah, I put it on YouTube, but people fall asleep. Yeah. I actually had 14 million before he even came up for his first ball. Yeah. Bruce is like Mr. Loop. He's like loop champion on every game I've ever seen him play. Yeah, I like that. The Buffalo Open, you had that. The only good supercharger mode I've ever seen. Because usually I drain out on supercharger mode on Getaway. Yeah, I can crank on supercharger. But it was just ring, ring, ring, ring, ring, ring. What was it, 20? It was some ridiculous number. It's insane. He's the loop man. Yes, I am. He's Mr. Extra Ball. Mr. Loop. And Mr. Combo. Oh, Mr. Combo. I actually have 58 combos on Eric's Metallica. Mr. Combo. I am Mr. Combo. I'm Batman. I'm George Lassenby. Yes, you are. You are Bond. I am Bond for one movie. You are Mr. Bondage. Mr. Bondage. Oh, my. I'm James Bond. So, Mr. Hallett. Yes. I will see you Saturday. Saturday. So that's the funny thing. It's Dave Romanowski coming over at 7 o'clock in the morning. We're going to load up the games, drive them down, drop them off, and then go to and play in a tournament. Where... So we're... Okay, you're... Matt Hess is buying the 8-Ball Deluxe, and then the other guy, the other gentleman is buying three of my pins. Okay. So we're all going to Binghamton. Binghamton Festival. Binghamton. The Moonwalker Arcade. Yep. See everyone there. It'll be awesome. Will be. It will be. You can see High Roller Casino, that turd. I cannot wait to play that at least twice. Oh. God, that's such a bad game. Great game. I'm sorry. I'm just flabbergasted. I just can't. I played that a bunch of times. I don't see it. I just don't see it. Look at Keith P. Johnson rules. Fun game. Fail. No. Nope, nope. Come on. Tell us about it, boys and girls. Yeah, yeah. Please, please. Just write in and tell me why High Roller Casino is a good game. Just like you had everyone writing in to say why NBA sucked, you need to tell me why High Roller Casino is a good game. And it is a good game. No, it's not. Yes, it is. Great game. All right. So that was episode 27. Yes. On Her Majesty's Secret Service for George Lazenby's one outing. Yes. And we have a guest next week. We have a guest next week. Should we keep it a secret? That's up to you. I don't mind. He's a returner. He's a returner. He's a returner. He's our most frequent guest. And since we're going to be talking about a couple things that are happening this week, you can narrow it down to one to 16. Well, you can actually narrow it down to four. Actually, if you just say he's our most frequent guest, that tells us who it is. Yes, it is. So there you go. So if you don't know who it is, you need to listen to all the other podcasts to find out. See what I did there? All 27. Yeah, see what I did there? So thanks, everyone, for listening. We are the Slam Tilt Podcast. We can be reached on Facebook at Slam Tilt Podcast. Just search for us on YouTube at Slam Tilt Podcast. I will be putting some new videos up once the New York State upstate. No, I'm not putting porn videos up there. Oh, damn. Yeah. And you can send us correspondence at our email address, slamtiltpodcast at gmail.com. Tell me how smart I am for picking High Roller Casino. Tell me. Tell me? Tell him how smart he is. What would you rather pick against Steven Bowden if you're playing him? Or even Alberto? You think you're going to want to play Alberto on any other stern besides High Roller Casino? Iron Man. I pick Iron Man. I would pick High Roller Casino second. Yeah. You know what I'd really pick? I'd pick Barbed Wire. Oh, gosh. On that note. I would pick a System 3 over any of the common sterns. Wow. Wow. Because guess what? You're evening the match. Yes. You're evening the match. Well, thank you, folks. It's time to say goodbye, Bruce. Goodbye, Dave Cohen.
