Beetlejuice revealed The Walking Dead remastered Revealed Another edition of What? Cooking With Revealed Hi, my name is Jonathan Houston I'm the editor of Pinball Magazine and I'm joined by I'm Martin Abel I'm the editor of Pinball News and Jonathan and I are here to look back at all the exciting events that took place in the pinball world throughout the month of November 2025. And, yeah, quite an exciting month. Oh, yeah, definitely. And let me correct that third headline. Another edition of What's Cooking With is to be revealed, and that will happen to actually take place in this very special pin cast. So let me correct myself. Okay. Yeah, but in the US, it's been a very, very interesting month. A new game review, a new remastered game revealed, and we had, of course, the Dutch Pinball Open Expo, which, if you're in the US or Australia or whatever, you might think, like, well, who cares? Well, it is Europe's biggest pinball show, and the industry finally has noticed as well. Gary Stern was present for the second time similar to last year bringing along Jack Danger we had Steve Ritchie and we had a very special guest that hasn't been to that many pinball shows no if any if any indeed we're talking about Tony Ramudi who is a pinball artist who did work for... Well, he started out at Williams, then moved to Belli, which Steve Kordek apparently at Williams was not too happy about. We're talking early 80s here. And then he moved to Italy, where he worked for a company called Mr. Game that did a couple of games that did not that well in number of units, I guess. But still, and then, well, he left the industry sort of like 35 years ago but I was able to locate him and it took me a couple of years to convince him like why don't you come over to the Dutch Pinball Show and do a seminar and well that turned out to be very entertaining I have to say and well I guess Tony's seen the light a little bit now Yeah, I think he was a little overwhelmed by how people are interested in his work and the work of other contemporaries in the pinball industry around that time. Because back then, there wasn't really the same kind of fandom in pinball that there is now. And people didn't really know or particularly care who was creating the games. It was the designer, it was the artist. And of course, all that's now changed. and people like Tony and, as you saw, Steve and Jack are all big names who are very welcome and everybody wants to talk to them about how they create their games. So it's a totally different environment now and I think he's a bit overwhelmed by that, but in a good way, I think. Yeah, absolutely. Delighted to find that people actually appreciated his work and wanted to talk to him about it. Yeah, and the good news is, and let me spoil it right away, So Tony Ramuni will be our special guest on What's Cooking With? Tony Ramuni, in this case. And he has a wonderful recipe, so stay tuned for that. We'll probably revisit that in like 30 minutes or so, and then we get to the next segment. It's really fun talking to Tony. Yes, great guy. Taking time to talk to us. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. It's too late Okay We're already done there Let's start with our headlines then Our first headline was about a new game from Spooky Pinball One which we trailed last month in our October pincast Saying it was going to be revealed in the middle of, well the 14th I think, of November And sure enough, Beetlejuice from Spooky Pinball was indeed announced there was a big buzz around the game before it was even revealed and I think everybody pretty much knew what it was and when it was going to be announced, well Spooky basically told everybody what it was when they were going to reveal it and as a result I think even before anybody had really seen it it pretty much sold nearly all the units people put deposits down on all of them they had 70 games or so available in the Spooky Pinball webshop. All other games were already allocated by the Spooky distributors. Yes. Well, sure enough, those 70 games were gone in minutes too. I think so, yeah. I think people couldn't even get through on the phones. Or couldn't get through on the websites and they ended up saying, well, call us and then they couldn't get through on the phone either. Anyway. Well, a short clarification for that. The game is limited to 999 units, which means they're not building it indefinitely. It's basically a limited edition available in one version, although you can add stuff onto your order to make it a little bit more special, give it an anti-reflective glass and butter cabinet decals and even a different topper is also available. Yes, which is quite important, I think. The basic game is priced at US$9,999. What? Yes, that's right. And the enhanced topper is made by Gary Tunnicliffe, who's an English special effects makeup designer, a writer and director, used to perform make-up effects for all the Hellraiser films well, at least from Hellraiser 3 onwards and wrote and directed Hellraiser Judgment but this animatronic topper which is the Beetle Snake topper, so that's a character a form that Beetle do snakes within the film this also incorporates a thing called Spooky Speak, which is a voice recognition thing and you need to have this topper in order to utilise it because it's got built in microphones and it's not exactly clear yet how they're going to use it but the game is supposed to speak back to you if you speak to it and also if you say the game's name or Betelgeuse three times it can trigger certain effects such as starting the game for you or doing other things but we haven't seen that in action yet and there's certainly plenty of possibilities of what they could do with that And Christian was going to speak that to you Right So very interesting Who designed this game, do you know? Yes, it's designed by Spooky Luke And Corwin (Bug) Emery Or Corwin, let's give him his real name Artwork of course Is by our good friend Christopher Franchi Who did a pitch For a Beetlejuice game before Which wasn't picked up I think he was doing it for Stern And no one there wanted to do it But now he's working exclusively for Spooky Pimple And he did a very impressive looking artwork package I have to say, personally I preferred the original back glass that he did for Stern Just the composition of it But these are all personal things But I still think it looks great anyway Music and sounds by Brady Hearn And software is by Spooky DJ Casey Casey Butler Under the direction of Luke Peters So a familiar group of people there from Spooky Pinball And yeah, it looks fantastic of course As you would expect The biggest toy on the playfield of course Is the Sandworm Which kind of shows up in Dungeons and Dragons And I suppose to an extent Jaws as well By having a large animatronic model Which can move in multiple directions is also able to swallow the ball and is able to lift up and reveal a shot under it which goes down into a subway kind of area with a couple of stand-up targets below which is all illuminated as well When you said sandworm I was thinking... Yes, I know, there's a couple of games with sandworms at the moment but yeah Beetlejuice also has a sort of, it doesn't have an upper playfield or a mini playfield it has an area of the playfield separated with its own clipper which is the waiting room area which is a famous famous scene or repeated scene actually from the original Beetlejuice movie where they were sitting on a sofa waiting to be interviewed as it were and they have a sofa there which acts like a ball lock, a bit like the one in Simpson's Pinball Party, but in this one it actually tips forward to dump the balls onto the playfield rather than dropping them through one end of the sofa one at a time. So that's another thing. There's lots of various things we could talk about, including a ball lifter, which a ball should lock on one of the orbits which the ball gets trapped and raised up as Betelgeuse rises and drops the ball onto another wire form. But anyway I'm sure if you Take a look at Any of the multiple Online resources Where you can find details While we produce You'll be able to see it for yourself If you haven't already I think there's so much For a buzz around it I suspect everybody's already seen it Actually I haven't but Oh I'm probably one of the few I think you will be Unfortunately it wasn't At the Dr. Kimball Open Expo It's a bit too close to that For it to be there But certainly all the other spooky games Of recent times were there We can get back to What was it that show a bit later Right Well Taking your lead Who was at that show I already mentioned it Making the jump to Stern Pimble Gary Stern himself And Jack Danger as well although that's not the main news of course but it's a nice bridge to get to return gimbal who launched the Walking Dead remastered on November the 4th this is a game now running on the Spike 3 system the game has a new much brighter and colorful art package which not everybody seemed to be too pleased about yeah I don't know. The original game had very muted brown colours, which people thought were more in keeping with the nature and the tone of the programme, which is bright. But now... Mutt colour. Yeah, that's right, yeah. But now AMC, who were the broadcaster who financed the programme, they want to propose it in a different way. So they want to do it as like a night-time, day-time version, so they have bright blues for the night time time and bright orange and red and fire and explosive effects for the daytime version which is completely different from the original way it was promoted and if you look at all their marketing material that's exactly how they are promoting Walking Dead now so it makes sense and it keeps in with that but it is certainly very different and some people like it. They like the difference from the original, because I thought the original was a bit dull and muted, and they like the dynamics, but other people will say, well, we've stopped making everything so bright and colourful, this isn't a theme, which really lends itself to that. But it's what the lifester wants, so that's what you have to go with. You can't please everybody, so... Oh, hell no. You're quite lucky if you can please anybody. well yeah that too so so the playfield artwork also changed but how's that for the rules of the game have they been revamped or not significantly from what I could see they played a couple of games on it and the biggest change really is in the display artwork and the way they've done that it used to be a documentary thing so all the animations yes but what they haven't done is they haven't gone full screen new animations on this they've kind of redrawn the existing animations and made them a lot more detailed and a lot more animated shall we say and there are full-frame animation or full-screen animations in the game, but a lot of it is presented almost like a centre strip on the display, which is like where the dot matrix was, but with much more detailed graphics in it. And there are panels at the top and bottom which have things like the score and the ball number and other bits of detail in, which were quite cramped on the original game, or were not shown all the time when they were doing dot matrix animations. So I wonder whether that's the way they're going to do future remastered graphics, where they're going to stick with the dot matrix area for the animations and just update those. Right. We'll see when the next one comes. I mean, that's obviously not what they did for Metallica remasters. But hey, maybe it's easier for them to do it that way rather than having to do so many full-screen graphics from scratch when they haven't got any material. Because they weren't able to use any of the material from the show, which would be the obvious starting point for if you have a big screen to fill. So they haven't got that, so they basically have to make all their own graphics for it. And for a remastered title, that's quite a lot. Which seems odd to me, because if you're doing AMC's Walking Dead, you'd think AMC would be on board with providing all the content that you need for the screen. Yeah, but as we talked about in the past, we don't know what the licensing arrangements were when that was first drawn up. Were they allowed to use actors? Because if it's got a dot matrix display, then there's no issues in showing actors' likenesses on there because you just can't do it. But when you put an LCD in, then the dynamics change a bit and you may have to start paying for the licenses of actors. Oh, well. Yeah. So, this is not a cornerstone game. Apparently, we'll get to see another cornerstone game before the end of the year. At least, that's what's being rumored. Else, slightly right after the end of the year. Yeah, normally it's sort of leaked, isn't it? Just before the end of the year. Teased, I should say, before. and then the actions get revealed at the beginning of January just before the, was it ASI? No, whichever show it is that they do the first thing in January in Vegas. But, yes, so as you said, this isn't a take-home. So it's only available as a premium and limited edition for the writing dead remastered. So two models instead of three. Yep, that's right. And the limited edition is limited to a number of 500 for that, though the playfield features are all the same. But the limited edition does have things like the expression lighting system on the inside and on the outside of the cabinet, which is apparently the future for expression lighting, which they've done a certain amount of that in the past, Going back to games like Star Trek Where they had the Lights running Yeah, phaser fire and things like that But it hasn't been used greatly Since then But it is in Walking Dead Revasted And now it looks like it's going to be The future for expression cabinet lighting To be on double sides The premium has the cutouts There so you can add it I think inside, I don't know if you can add it on the outside I don't think so but you certainly add it on the cabinet inside if you choose to buy the upgrade kit so we were talking about pricing earlier and the premium for this comes in the same cornerstone pricing so the premium is £9,699 and the limited edition another £3,300 more at £12,999 so that's the standard pricing So, 9-7, basically, and 13 for the LE. Now, we talk about Dr. Timberlake and Expo, and that was actually trailed with Stern as being the European launch of this title, which indeed it was. See how important this show has become. Yeah. Well, we get on to exactly what Stern had at the show in a minute, but they did have two models of The Walking Dead Remastered. It was meant to be a third. They had two premium models. They were expecting to get a limited edition as well, but apparently it got stuck in customs and they were to get to the show in time. Yeah, I know what that's like. You've been stuck in customs before, have you? No, I had prizes for the quiz that we do at Dutch People. I was stuck in customs. Ah, right. Yes, that's true. yes but thank you for sending them anyway that was Joe Dupie yeah yes as we were saying it used to be we churned these games out at quite a rate of knots we only had Star Wars which obviously isn't available in Europe or the Middle East or Africa for licensing reasons And that explains why it wasn't at the Dutch People's Show Absolutely right, yeah, it wasn't there It was almost noticeable by its absence But yes, they had that They had now Walking Dead Remastered coming out as well And then, as you were saying just now In about a month's time We'll be getting another Hornstone game coming out Which will be the first one of 2026 So, yeah, really getting through the releases at the moment well they can either mean two things and what are they? well either they don't sell that many or they are cranking them out in such a high volume that they need new games to basically feed the production line hmm yeah well it would be nice to think they are selling that many games and there is that bigger market for them, as well as everybody else. Right. And keep in mind that in between the Cornerstone games, they keep on cranking out other titles as well as demand is asking. Yes, that's right. Yeah, yeah. It's a busy time at Stern, and I kind of feel a bit sorry for the back-end team, you know, doing the software and doing the graphics for all these games, because there's so many of them coming out now they must be so busy working on not just the current title but also going back and looking at older titles as well and bringing all the code up to date and creating new animations for all that so yeah, busy times at Stern, which is good right, yeah so we had Jack Danger and Gary Stern at the Dutch Pimble Show well, you were there and recording all the seminars, they did a seminar as well where Gary started off with his usual, well, I think we can almost say it out loud. It was close to the line. Yeah, exactly. But there were some interesting highlights, so to speak. you recorded the whole thing and it's available on pinballnews.com the Dutch Pinball Open Expo report very well done Martin thank you just managed to finish that off last night actually but could you reveal a little bit of the highlights that well coming from the top of your head well it's interesting to hear from Jack because the last time I think the last time he was there he was still doing the deadflip streaming he hadn't joined Stern at that point since when he has joined become a designer and now stepped back from designing games to concentrate back on streaming again but he did say he's not finished with designing games and will, by only has he got one in development at the moment, which he stepped back from to allow George Gomez and others to see through to production. Now he's doing the streaming and social media marketing for Stern. But he said, revealed, he will be going through the whole process of designing and building a brand new game design of his from scratch, starting with the initial development, going through all the mechanical engineering, software design, the testing, the artwork creation, the ordering of parts, and how you actually make the game. And he's going to document this and basically take everybody through the process with him to the point where he has a finished game, which, if everybody thinks it's a winner, could actually go into production. Apparently... If it's not? Well, if it's not, then too bad. But I think he's planning to have it as a licensed title. All right. So, that would imply that they worked out a license for it before, or all the license stories on board with this whole experimental process, which would be great. Well, it's a good exercise. And from what I understood, the theme of the game, or the license, if you wish, will be revealed right from the start, will be known to everybody. We're working on this. This is the game that we're going to do. And then I suppose this is going to, well, usually it takes like a year to design a pinball machine. So there's going to be lots of stream from Jack Focusing on the game that he will be designing Around that license Yeah It costs quite a lot of money To actually design a game Get all the parts prototyped Get the molds made Get the team doing the software And the graphics And the artwork And if he doesn't actually ever come to anything That would be a shame Yeah Oh, well, we'll just have to wait and see when Jack will start that project. And I'll be curious to see whether that will be a sort of real-time process that you follow. Yes, I think so. That's the intention. Or will there be a slight delay so that when they have an idea for a mechanical design, let's say that takes three weeks to develop the next week is already available because they delayed it up front or they didn't discuss that earlier so you get the impression that the mechanical design is for example very fast I would imagine there would be plenty of other aspects of the game to keep viewers and readers interested in while that mechanical process is ironed out and either works or has to be redesigned. So, yeah, I think there'll be lots to it. But it'll be nice to see, and I think it's a very novel and interesting idea, and nice to get potential customers involved. There might be a picture and ideas about how you do various things and code and shots even on there. wouldn't it be nice if it did that instead? Yeah. Yeah, so... So, very interesting approach, and it will be interesting to see how that will unfold in the future. So, any other Dutch Pinball Open Expo, Stern Pinball-related news? Why, that's a mouthful. Yes, I know. Not really, I don't think. I think... Oh, yes. it was interesting when I first got there on the Friday before the show opened and they were still setting everything up, there was a whole gaggle of people all crowded round the Walking Dead remastered game and I looked at the back and there was Jack and he was basically guiding all these people through what's been done how the game's been improved which which elements in particular they focused on improving the design of and how the Spike 3 system works and doing a sort of master class on the Walking Dead remastered. So that was interesting to see. I kind of wish I'd been there a bit longer. But I don't know whether that was for a private group or whether it was for people who were Stern distributor employees. it seemed to be people who kind of knew what they were watching rather than just members of the public, because the show wasn't open at that point anyway, so it must have been people from some of the stands there or some of the distributors from the inside, I think so who were actually able to ask meaningful questions as well I actually got a little picture of that and that's in the Pinball News report as well I didn't want to video it because I thought it was kind of like a private discussion. Oh, dear. You should view it right away. Yeah, it was nice to see, anyway. That's the first time I saw Jack on the show floor and straight to work. Yeah, other than that, Stern, well, basically, Stern really supported the Dutch Pimple Open Expo this year. Had a big selection of machines there. All the modern titles with the exceptions, we said, of Star Wars Fall of the Empire, which isn't available in Europe. But they had lots of machines there, and they're all in great shape. And it's kind of like a mini version of what they did at, well, not that mini, actually, what they did at Expo, because Expo wasn't their biggest display of machines that they ever had there at Pinball Expo this year. But they had a very nice, large area on the show floor. and I think they used it well, and the whole show was quite well spaced out this year, but we can come back to that later. But anyway, it was nice to see them supporting the show properly this year, rather than relying on distributors to bring along machines. Right. Sturm was also running a Beat That Score challenge on Insider Connected, Which means you could submit your score For the chance to be the new Score to beat And for it to appear on an Insider Connected badge I don't know whether that's very important but For some people it may be Yeah Yeah In your own little world On the glass Yeah and also We talked about Metallica remasters earlier As part of the First remasters I suppose in the process, in the sequence, with the Walking Dead coming afterwards. But if you haven't got yourself a Metallica Remastered game, then until the 31st, if you do buy one and use the code MET2025 with your authorized Stern reseller, you will receive an exclusive, highly collectible, it says, Metallica Remastered Foil Poster Set. Only available while supplies last. So, I have to admit, they do look quite nice. It's a nice little bonus there if you were thinking of getting or are about to buy a Metallica Remastered premium machine. Then, yeah, quote the Met 2025 and get yourself a nice foil poster set. Okay. So, too bad I already ordered a game. Oh, well, never mind. I have to wait for the... We'll sell it and buy another one. Oh, that's a great idea. I'll just cancel my order and reorder it right away. Yeah. Well, I guess that wraps it up for Thursday. Oh, not so fast. Not so fast. I was going to say, unless there is some new code you would like to discuss. Of course there's new code. And a busy month. You'll be pleased to hear, Jonathan, for code. My pillow. Yes, with five different games, all getting code updates. The Dungeons & Dragons Tyrant's Eye got a boost to version 0.98, which added the Undermountain as a third ending of the game. You remember that? It's a game where you can actually get to the end and finish it. Well, the Undermountain is a third way of finishing the game. It's a wizard mode with six different levels to complete. They also added Rime the Ranger As a new character you can play New lighting effects Score rebalances and the usual bug fixes Then Star Wars came along And Fall of the Empire Not available in Europe of course That gets up to version 0.87 Which added a Also had a new wizard mode added Which is called the Sarlacc Escape Has some new shot multipliers And added the extra Ball awards which had been missing from that. Quite a few changes, because it's still fairly early on in it, 0.87, and of course bug fixes as well. Walking Dead Remastered, just talking about that, had a new update to version 0.79 on the 26th of November, but unfortunately, Stern didn't actually give any details of what's in that update, so we don't know what that is. But if we do find out, we'll keep it to ourselves, because I don't think anybody cares. So John Wick also got an update It's got 0.99 Which almost feature complete Added the staircase wizard modes Wizard modes all round this month More sound effects Changed the scoring For several features Added more lighting effects And of course a few bug fixes Finally, young canny X-Men One that seemed to have not got a lot of love Until very recently When it suddenly got an awful lot of love Well, now it's up to version 0.95. I added a new Berserker multiball, added a new addable feature, which you can activate during multiball, changed some of the rules, and also, of course, fixed a bunch of bugs. And that's the code. Right. And then, since you just mentioned John Wick, it might be worth to mention, if you would be interested in purchasing a John Wick game, Stern Pinball does have its own shop on Amazon and apparently there's a great Black Friday slash Cyber Monday deal which I think lasts until the 5th of December but don't quote me on that and if you do quote me then I'm just guessing right now so there's a great discount on the John Wick game if you order it through Amazon, 24% on the premium model and I think 14% on the LE. One of the two. Is this amazon.com, is it, in the US? Yeah, I suppose it is. Right, okay. That what I am suspecting Okay I had a quick look on Amazon in the UK and it had Rush and I think Mandalorian were listed there but both of them aren't available. So I don't see what the point of that is, but it's one of the several projects. I did check in the meantime, the 14% discount is on Venom Pro, I should say, not on John Wick. So John Wick premium 24% And Venom Pro 14% That's off MSRP Right So if you're interested in either One of those games Or maybe both Amazon.com is The place to go Interesting place to look As we're talking about What and who was at the Dutch Pinball Open Expo, he mentioned earlier had a certain Tony Ramunni who was there having a very interesting talk about his time in pinball and the people he worked with and his take on the industry then and the industry now. But you can listen and watch all that on the Pinball News Report and on our YouTube channel. and very entertaining he is too. But, besides that, he's also a bit of a cook. A chef, I might say. Well, okay. He enjoys cooking as well, which is even better. So, what better to do than to find out what's cooking on your remodeling? Yes, hello, who's speaking? Hello, how are you? You know what I was doing just now? No Are you going to tell us? Yeah Oh, Martin is here too? It is, it is Martin is here too Oh, great, good, good I was about to You know, get down and cook You know Yeah, no, you know Because my wife, you know, she's working And she'll be home in about an hour so, you know, I'm getting ready to cook dinner. Well, what a great timing for What's Cooking with Tony Ramunni. I have lots of recipes, you know. I've been Italian. Yeah. You can just imagine. What are you cooking tonight for you and your wife? No, tonight, since we're having our grandson, we're babysitting for the younger one. You know, he's one years old. and so I'm doing, you know what polpette they are? Polpette, they're like little meatballs. Yeah, meatballs, there you go. Oh, right, okay. Yeah, right, right, right. I mean, you know, my mother-in-law, you know, Barbie's mom, she used to make them, but, you know, they were kind of, you know, the American way. This, you know, the way I do them is, you know, the way they're done in southern Italy, you know. so because you know my father is um he was from um body and my mom was from tuscany so you know so we have quite a repertoire of uh you know family recipes yeah yeah and i learned most of i learned from my mom and uh you know some from my cousin you know down south so he had a restaurant as a matter of fact. Anyway, that's what's cooking. So Italian meatballs in a red sauce, I assume? No, but that's not the recipe I was thinking about sharing with you today. It's something else. It's an artichoke frittata recipe. It's one of my favorites since we're almost in season because artichokes are mostly, you know, harvested, I guess, in the colder months, you know, and they're in season. So, anyway. So, what do you want me to start? I mean, are we going right to the recipe? Yeah, sure. Yeah, yeah. Well, let's hear it. I mean, we're still in time to maybe do some grocery shopping and prepare it for tonight. Oh, you are? So, let me see. Now, the ingredients are kind of, this is not so, you don't have to, like, really follow this through a tea. It depends on your own, you know, preference. Little wings. Yeah, yeah. So, you know, let's say approximately five artichokes, okay? And I'll give you the ingredients first, okay? Then get a, you know, half onion, okay? And you chop it up, okay? And then some garlic. Let's say two cloves of garlic, maybe, you know. You cut them in little, you know, little chunks, you know. Yeah, little cubes. Kind of small. Then you get some cherry tomatoes, okay? And you cut them in half, okay, or four pieces, whatever you prefer, okay? And then some parsley, chopped, okay? You'll need some parmigiano, too, some parmigiano cheese, okay? and four or five eggs. You could put six. As many as you want or as little as you want. This recipe is to serve how many people? Well, this is a frittata. You know what? I have to go back a minute. When I make this recipe, okay, when we invite people over and stuff, it's a nice dish for if you're having people over, if you're having a party. you know because you can serve along other things you know like olives and taralli you know what taralli are crackers and stuff so anyway four or five eggs then no like I was saying before when I make this recipe people just go nuts especially in this area up north in Bologna because being you know a typical southern Italy recipe they don't do it here, you know. So it's, you know, it's kind of a, you know, a new thing for them here. And so they love it. They just go nuts. Everybody wants a recipe. So when you asked me, you know, about this a couple of days ago, I thought of this right away. And so it's a good, it's a good way. Do we have all the ingredients now? No, well, you should have, okay, so oil is going to be extra virgin, okay? Extra virgin oil. And then you're These are options. You can have tuna and capers, okay? I was going to say capers, yeah. I think it makes a great twist at the end. But some people don't like capers, so they just put tuna. Or you could do it without tuna and capers, just with eggs. Right. So what you do is, given the ingredient, you start doing it. And so you prepare the artichokes. you know, you remove all the outer leaves, you know, because they're not as tender, okay, until you get to the core of the artichoke, which is kind of yellow, right? You could tell. And then you could cut, you know, the points, because sometimes they're kind of, they're like needles, you know, so you cut those, okay? Then you cut the artichoke, you know, in four parts, okay? Mm-hmm. And you put them, you know, oh, no, I wanted to say, too, if you, while you're doing this, you should put the artichokes in a container with water and lemon, because otherwise it would get kind of brown, you know? Oh, right, okay, yeah. Yeah, so you just, you know, put them in there, you know, while you're doing the almonds, as you go along, okay? And so in the meantime, in a pan, you know, you saute some, you know, onions, okay? Garlic. Yep. Cherry tomatoes. Mm-hmm. Okay, and you let it, you know, you let it simmer, okay? Sounds a little bit runny. Yeah, at this point, at this point, you put the artichokes, you know, they have to be cut, you know, I told you to cut them four pieces, right? But then, then what you do, after you clean them, you take the, you know, the, at the core of the archer, there is some, some furry stuff, some fuzzy, you take that out, you remove it, okay? Yeah. Did you have a spicy archer? Yeah, yeah. So you're just taking the leaves, the front, yeah, the leaves off effectively. No, I know, but When you get to the core, you know, when you cut them in pieces, you know, on the inside, there is some fuzzy, I don't know how to explain. You'll see when you cut them in half. You have to remove that, okay? You don't eat that stuff, okay? And anyway, then in the pan where you have the onions and the garlic and all the other ingredients, you know, cherry tomato, you put the artichoke. But you have to slice them, okay? So they're not so thick, okay? And you put those in the pan. You know, you cover them with, you know, warm water. Okay. Then you season with salt and pepper, you know, to taste. Okay. And you simmer the artichokes, you know, until it has absorbed all the water. And the artichokes are tender. Right. Okay. And then you set them aside. You know, you set them aside, you know, to get cooled off, all right? Everything's clear so far? Oh, yes. Yeah. I get you getting hungry, right? And then in a separate bowl, okay, you get your eggs and you beat them, okay? Right. You know, like when you do… Omelette. Yeah, yeah, right. You beat it with salt and pepper, and you put the, you know, the Parmesan cheese, okay? And once you get a nice ingredient, what you do is you put the artichoke, okay, in a container with the eggs. Right. Okay, and you mix it up really good, okay? Yep. All right. And then you, you know, you heat another pan, okay? the same pan I mean it's the same pan where you you cook the artichokes before you put some more oil okay then you put the eggs and the artichokes mixture okay yeah and you let it you cover it okay at this point okay and very low heat all right right so when you see the eggs starting to you know become a little they start to set, okay? Yes. You see it? At that point, you know, you get the tuna and you break it in, you know, small pieces, okay? Yeah. If you decide to use tuna, okay? And you sprinkle it on top of the, you know, the eggs, okay? And then you put the capers. Mm-hmm. All right? Okay, at this point, you transfer everything to the oven, which you would, you know, prepare ahead of time, okay? Okay. I don't know. Yeah, I don't know. Preheat, yeah, 170, 180, okay? And then you put the eggs in there, okay? This frittata, all right? now mind you you know the eggs before you do that the eggs has to be a little bit like we were saying before set okay not hard but you know and then you transfer it to the oven and you set it to broil okay there you have to be very careful you got to watch it so you don't want it to burn okay and once you see the you know the whole frittata starting to get a little brown okay that's done that's done okay so you you should serve this you know warm okay and that's it that's it you know it's really it's really great it sounds really good it is really good you know but like I said with a few accorgimenti you know you gotta be careful you don't burn the egg you know right you have to be careful yeah yeah it's gotta get a little brown you know And this is, you know, this frittata is delicious if you eat it warm, okay? Right. But it's okay cool, too. So, that's it, you know? You get it. Can I just check one detail there? Because you have to make sure, I guess, that the frying pan or the pan you're using to cook the egg and artichoke mixture is also safe to go in the oven, basically. Oh, no, that's right. I forgot to tell you that. You have to use a fan that, you know, could go in the oven, too. Yeah, I have those, you know, so. Of course. Good point. Good point. I forgot about that, yeah. And not the ones with, you know, with a handle. Plus the kind of oil. Right, right, right. No, they have those, you know, so. And, you know, that's it. You know, it's really easy to make, I would think, you know. But like I said, you know, don't let things, you know, cook too much, you know. and make sure the artichoke is, you only use the core, the heart, the heart which is softer. That's it. That's the recipe, you guys. Okay. Fantastic. So, Tony, a lot of people haven't heard from you in quite a while, but you did make an appearance at the Dutch Pinball Open recently. How was that for you? Oh, that was an incredible experience. I enjoyed every minute of it. And like I said, I don't know if I told you, you know, at the show, you know, I should have done that, you know, before. You know, I should have done it before because, first of all, by not doing it, I was kind of left behind, you know. And being at the show, I realized that, like I was saying there, you know, being out of the industry for so long, it really doesn't give you the chance to see the evolution that pinball has taken, you know, through these last 30 years. And in a seminar, I wanted to make a point, but I guess I didn't. I thought about it, you know, afterwards, you know. And throughout history, we had phases in pinball, you know. Right. Yeah, starting from the, you know, 50s and 60s. And then with Paul Faris, I think, you know, in the 80s with Paul Faris and Bally, there was really a big, big turning point, you know. It started a new phase in pinball, especially, especially graphics, you know, I'm talking about graphics. The four-color process. The four-color process, yeah. And so even though I realize, you know, being at the show that pinball has become so incredibly exciting, you know, from the graphic point of view and sounds and everything else that goes along with it, I think that it's a new phase, you know. So a lot of credit to the guys that worked on it in the 80s, like myself, and Paul Fares and all the guys at, you know, at Bailey and Williams and other companies, you know. So, you know, that's all I wanted to say, you know. And being there with all those people that, you know, I was astonished by the how people feel, you know, I guess collectors and pimple lovers, how they feel about us artists. Okay. And I'm very grateful to see the, you know, we're appreciated, you know, I mean, like I said in the seminar, for me, it was a job. just like any other job, although, you know, we were lucky to work in pinball, you know, because it's by far an exciting environment to, you know, to work in, you know. So, yeah, yeah, yeah. And I have to thank you guys for inviting me, first of all, first and foremost. It took a couple of years, but we finally managed to get you to come over. Yeah, I mean, like I said, I regret that I didn't do it before. We were very happy to have you. Well, we did a seminar, which you already mentioned. For those interested and listening to this, that seminar is actually available on the Pinball News website, hosted by Martin. And it's quite entertaining, I should say. So do look that up, if I may recommend. Yeah. You know, I have to say that some of my, you know, old colleagues, you know, Greg Freres, you know, he sent me a message. And the same, you know, the same night, as a matter of fact, you know, and he told me with a few laughs, you know, he says, hey, there was some of the parts were funny. But, you know, it was very entertaining. So, you know, I wish I could have prepared a little better. But you know It was great It was great being there It was great to finally meet you After all these years I've been a big fan of your work And never thought I'd ever get the chance To actually see you in person So thank you to Jonathan and the GPL organizers For making that happen Yeah, thank you guys too Thanks very much for having me Well, a big thank you to Tony For giving us his recipe And it sounds absolutely delicious and not too difficult to prepare either. No, I was expecting some sort of pasta dish or pizza toppings, but this is way better. Oh, definitely. Yes, it's a proper meal, or at least party food or snack food as well, depending on how you want to serve it. So quite versatile and, yeah, it sounds delicious. So we may have to try that. Yeah, exactly. And if you, well, Tony, try to describe it in a very detailed manner, if you decided to try it for yourself, do let us know what you think of it. Yes. Don't send us any, but, you know, I don't think it will arrive in the best condition, but, yes, just to find out what your experience is. I was going to do a contest. Well, send it to Jonathan then Okay That's in it to me Okay Well Oh well So, well, Dutch Pimble Open That's where Tony was But there were obviously more Pimble shows In the month of November And one in particular I'm going to refer to Was the Houston Arcade and Pimble Expo show Which is, of course, in Houston which is the home of Barrels of Fun. Yes, a great show. And this year, Barrels of Fun did a factory tour as part of that show. Almost every year. Yes. Since they have been in existence. And unlike some other factory tours, filming and photography was not only allowed, but encouraged. and you can go to YouTube and search for Houston Arcade Pinball Expo 2025 and you will find a very nice, or at least one, if not more, nice walk-through videos shot at the Bowser Fun Factory with David David Van Es there guiding everybody through. And if you haven't been there, then this is a very good way of seeing what they do and how they do it. And, of course, they're building both Dune and the newly announced Winchester Mystery House on separate lines in their factory in Houston. So a busy time for Bowser Fund. They always said that they could build two at once, and now they are. So they've got to finish up their Dune orders and get through all those Winchester Mystery House orders, which also, of course, sold out almost immediately. 15 minutes, I think, it took for that game to sell out. Yeah. And luckily enough, we were able to have one at the Dutch Pinball Open Show as well. Long lines to play that game, because everybody realized how rare it will be. And many thanks to RF Pinball and Stefan Rieter for bringing that game. Absolutely. Yeah. always have a good display and certainly did this time nice to get that Winchester there as I said only 525 of them are going to be built and he had one of the prototype ones flown over so that's great and I was going to say yeah there was always long lines to play that in fact in the report I actually took a picture of a line of people in front of the machine, even after the show had closed and all the power had been turned off. People were still queuing up to play it when there was no power on it anymore. Not sure they actually knew, but they were just sort of socialising, I think, more than queuing. But they did form a nice line in front of the machine when it wasn't going to be turned on again for another eight or nine hours. But it kind of tickled my honey bone. I heard they were handing out pillows and people could sleep under them to be the first the next morning to play it. You should have tickets so you can get in lines and jump the queue the next morning. Anyway, barrels of fun, as you were talking about. So, if you're pleased to know, there is some new code for June, which came out on the 24th of November. Which adds, Now I've no idea how you actually say this But I'll say Faeid Ralfa Harkonnen Who is one of the characters in the movie Their Arena Battle Award mode Is new And there's also a brand new Hunter Seeker Sidequest mode added Some scoring and rule changes New sounds, new music Which is good Some additional display graphics And they've got some new firmware control for the sandworm. I don't know quite what's wrong with it, but yeah, making it more reliable or moving in mysterious ways. But now the sandworm, control of it is improved as part of this update to Dune. So nice to see that that's still getting some good updates, even though they've disannounced their Winchester Mystery House game. Yes. And that rounds it up for Barrel of Fun But we're not Leaving Texas I wasn't exactly going to say that I know you were So I thought I'd get in first Well we kind of are in a way because Well The team from Multimorphic held a seminar At the Houston Arcade and Pinball Expo That we were just talking about Mostly talking about Portal But also covering other aspects of the company and the P3 pinball platform. Some of it you will have heard before, some of it will be new when they're talking about Portal. Again, search on YouTube for Houston Arcade, XWord 23.5, Multimorphic, and you'll be able to see a recording of the whole of that seminar. And I recommend it. In fact, I think nearly all the seminars they held there were raw recorded, so they have a good range of speakers there, which are definitely worth catching up with. But Multimorphic Portal also got some coverage elsewhere. Do you know more about that? A little bit. Apparently there's this website called Gamebeat, which has an article on Portal just released, or published, if you wish. and that's actually on their front page right now. I assume once more articles get added to the site those will become the front page. But for now, Portal there's a whole story on how the video game became a pinball machine. Ah, definitely worth checking that out then. Gamebeat is G-A-M-E-B-E-A-T I assume it's gamebeat.com Well, could be. But if you just search for it, you'll find it. Yeah, exactly. And that's not all from Merle Thiemorfic. No, because Nicholas Baldridge is for Amusement Only Company, who has made games for the P3 Flimball platform, celebrated three years since he released the Drained game for the P3. He's had already three years. Yeah, three years. And he celebrated that With the release of a 12 inch album Of the music from the game Which was created by Charles Wolfe Music It's been pressed on What's described as Vampiric white vinyl Marbled with Bat black Black in black No, black in bat And 33 and a third RPM and has 18 tracks and is priced at $50 if you get a copy of this. I didn't see it was announced as a limited edition, but it's probably going to be relatively limited given the scope of it. But if you'd like to get yourself a copy or find out more details, head over to the webshop on 4amusementgames.com and you'll find it there, along with lots of other merchandise related to Nick's games, including T-shirts and mugs and all that kind of stuff And caps For Drained and other titles That he's involved with Because he's a busy guy And has a lot of irons in the fire As they say So quite a lot of different Merchandise there to check out So yeah If you're into your vinyl There's a 12 inch Of the Drained Music I'm definitely into vinyl, but mostly 7 inches. Yes. Oh, well. You'll treat yourself to a 12-inch. This is like going to Subway, isn't it? Or elsewhere. No, never looked at it like that. Right. So, okay, moving on from Multimorphic in Texas. Well, let's do a local one for me, at least. Dutch Pinball or DPX. Apparently, well, Melvin Brouwer-Williams did a seminar at Pinball Expo, but he was a little bit what, let's say, off with some of his comments regarding Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Topper Shipping, and all the new games having them. And as a response from Dutch people, they posted on social media that Melvin hadn't been given the very latest production information, which was taking a little longer than expected. However, everything is now back on track with toppers shipping to machine customers who didn't get one. while all the new games currently being produced will have them included as was the original plan in the first place so I do recall Melvin talking about Dutch people not having a well prepared to ship the topper separately because I figured they would all be part of the game when it would ship and they had to come up with special packaging to actually ship those toppers out once they were finally produced. Yes. They need to be protected, which is somewhat different to when they're strapped to the body of a huge, great Alice in Wonderland gang, who's shipping the topper by itself, and you see how packages get thrown around in transit. So, yeah, a lot of protection needed that wouldn't otherwise be needed. But anyway, of course, there is a certain lead time on these toppers as well. So not just in ordering them, but in sending them out to customers with machines. So although Dutch Pinball might be shipping toppers with all the machines and have been for a little while, there was a certain period where games were being shipped without them, but they haven't necessarily filtered through to the end users. So people might still be getting games now which don't have toppers simply because they were made some time ago and then shipped and then went to a distributor and then they had to ship them out. It takes a little while for them to leave the factory and arrive at the buyers and it could be that when they left the factory they weren't all with toppers. But certainly, as you said, all the ones that are being manufactured now and have been for a couple of weeks, I think, do have the toppers with them. Right. So, and we do have to, well, I think I or we have to do a special shout out to a very recent Dutch pinball who was very generously sponsoring our So You Think You Know Pinball quiz at the Dutch Pinball Open Expo. Yes. Some lovely prizes there. And, yeah, absolutely. Yeah, you really missed out if you were not taking part of the quiz. And, yeah, some very lucky winners went home with mini playfields, rugs, and even a Big Lebowski playfield. Yeah, a full playfield, yeah. I think one of the funniest moments there was Barry was actually playing in the quiz, and he pulled out a ticket for a prize because he got through to the end, and the prize he won was a Big Lebowski rug, Which he donated just shortly before So he very generously put that back into the prize pool And drew out a different prize So that was quite funny It raised quite a laugh at the time Unfortunately we won't get to experience that Because we don't record our quiz Oh yes, you're a user That's right And also because the people who are recording it Are at the front this time Doing the quiz so it makes it a little difficult but anyway thanks to Barry for those prizes as well that kind of wraps it up for our Dutch Pinball exclusive news for the moment or does it? well yeah yeah apparently it does for Dutch Pinball they go fast so next on the list is Planet Pinball planetary pinball suppliers who are actually in Reno, Nevada, as we know. But Melvin from Dutch Pinball Exclusive is also heavily involved with them. And one of his involvements includes a well, a rerun, I would say, of the Big Bang Bar Tube Dancers, which are now available from Planetary Pinball Supplies at the price of $162. $162. $162. Yes. And these are made with the original Capcom mules, but with a material with better glow-in-the-dark properties. Hopefully it doesn't melt like the previous ones. Yeah, like the ones from from the Gene Cunningham machines and I speak from experience. So actually these were already available at Pinball Expo and they're now also available to order online if you interested in one of those or multiple ones So you know this Were the original two dancers still available from various sellers and were they selling at a ridiculously high price if they were available? Yes, they were because they were very hard to come by. Apparently, like you mentioned, and I know from somebody else who had a Big Bimbo machine, his tube denser broke in half. Poor girl. And like we just described, apparently the material used at the time by Gene Cunningham, after 20 years, sort of gave in. Yeah. My tube dancer melted, and it's a very sticky mess to remove from... I'm not surprised. ...from the game. And it makes me even wonder. I got the replacement tube dancer from Melvin, but because it was so sticky, I'm just hoping I need to find a way to make sure that the tube or the wire that goes into the tube denser that makes sure that she shakes, so to speak. If that's too sticky, it will just ruin the tube denser right away. Because it will attach to the material. It starts tearing around. Yeah. So I need to find a way to make sure that it's perfectly smooth and won't ruin this very expensive piece of glow-in-the-dark plastic. Yeah. Well, of course, we can speculate on exactly why these are being remade. Well, there's a market for it, of course, because I've seen plenty of people looking for a tube dancer who got a game from the Gene Cunningham production, so to speak. And, well, I've had that game for 20 years and after 20 years apparently that material is not keeping up that long. No. I just wonder whether that's purely the reason because he actually has the Capcom molds and can make them or whether there might be a demand for these in the near future if that title were to be remade. Well, there's rumours all the time I think we mentioned them Two months ago There is a Rumour going around that Pedretti Gaming in Italy Might be doing a remake of Big Bang Bar And then they're not And then they're doing it again And then they're not Yeah, anyway Just segue nicely into Our next company anyway, with Pimble Brothers who obviously work with Badretti as part of the Euro Pimble manufacturing in Italy where they have been making Predator games of which there were two at the DPO Expo and I have to say every show I've been to with Predator games there's always a line to play the game Yeah, and I think people always seem to walk away from it being quite impressed with it. Can't choose their expectations. I think they come to it with low expectations and are presently surprised. So I still haven't got a chance to play it because there's always a big line for it. But I look forward to actually getting a chance to do it before too long. Probably won't be until next year now, but you never know. Anyway, Pimble Brothers have announced That the production run of Predator Trophy Editions These are the enhanced games Will be limited To 300 units worldwide Now I'm a little bit Confused by this because They've already announced that they're going to Stop making the game at the end of the year Right So that's probably going to be Limiting the numbers They're going to make anyway And I thought they already said that I think there were like 150 or something more to sell about two months ago. Yes. Yeah. The total run is something like 800. Right. That's what they could fit into their schedule at Euro Pinball Corp. Yes, that's right. And for the end of the year. Yes. Yes. Because after that, they, well... Well, basically aren't renewing the license, I think. Yeah, or it's not renewed. Exactly. I'm not sure whether you have any info or intel on that. Well, we'll talk about that in a minute, but going back to these trophy edition games, they've announced that they will come with a certificate of authenticity, as if there could be any fake ones, But a golden and numbered That could be Vegas It could be It could be a market in knockoff one Golden and numbered Gauntlet plate That's the thing that's on the apron And also interestingly As something which they covered in the Seminar that they held at DPO Expo It will come with a second translight Because originally The plan was to produce two different Versions of the Predator game We do a daytime version and a nighttime version. But I think they abandoned the idea of doing the nighttime version of the game. But they do have the Translight artwork for that. So they're sending that to the people who buy the trophy edition. Even if you've already bought it, then you'd be able to claim that. The trophy edition is like the LE model of the game, the standard model as well. so between that and the 300 maximum trophy editions, that's the entire run of Predator so it's not the entire run limited to 300 just the trophy the trophy run the trophy model is limited well the standard model or whatever it's called is also limited but not as limited as the trophy from what I was saying this is just me interpreting inferring what they were not necessarily implying it, but it sounded like the ending of the Predator and Alien licenses at the end of the years is due to a change of licensing practice at the license of Disney, who own Fox and are able to license all those assets out. Kind of in the same way that Stern weren't able to get the European market or the Middle East or Africa, they're thinking they might be able to get at least one of those other ones, markets for Star Wars. But Disney seemed to deem that the European market was not large enough for Stern to meet Disney's licensing requirements for their Star Wars for the Empire game, which, as I've already said, wasn't at the DPO Expo. So I do wonder whether, with Disney owning so many assets now, when it comes to films. Is this going to be a problem for licensed games from all manufacturers in the future if Disney is chopping up their licensing into various regions and deem that even a big company like Stern, their European market sales aren't large enough to meet Disney's requirements. No other company is going to be able to sell enough games, as many games as Stern can even, so are they also not going to be able to sell licensed games with Disney assets in smaller markets like Europe and Middle East, which is going to become interesting. Well, it's definitely going to be interesting to see whether you can, whether you have to get creative to, or get maybe smaller licenses in the sense of movies that are not owned by Disney. Yeah, at least not initially. They do have something of a habit of buying up other studios. So if it wasn't Disney when it started, like as Alien and Predator wasn't, that was Fox originally, and then Disney bought them. And now you have to dance to Disney's tune when it comes to licenses. Right, yeah. So it might become more difficult to find licenses outside the scope of what Disney owns. but it's still possible. Or we go back to creating original themes. Yeah, that's right. Well, we've certainly seen that doing less, shall we say, prominent licenses, for instance, the Winter's The Mystery House, for instance, gives designers a huge amount of leeway and creativity in how they interpret the theme, even though it's still licensed. So that could be a good way of doing it And obviously that sold out very very quickly Even though it's small numbers And probably not the kind of numbers That Stern would be looking to sell But certainly for other companies It's not a bad production run But Pimple Brothers Also had some Reveal at The DPO Expo in their seminar Where they announced that Arvid Bleegara Has joined Pimple Brothers team You may have seen he was doing a video of a predator Playing Predator and explaining how it worked And basically showing how to play the game And well, apparently he's now part of the Pinball Brothers team And will be working on Predator rules and features And other future games And Daniel and Christian from Pinball Brothers who were having the seminar at the DPL Expo, hosting it, said that they are also looking to bring in more top players to help develop their future games. Right. And if you have no idea who Arvid is, he's currently ranked fourth in the IFBA Top 100, I believe. Yes, that's right. Very talented player. Very young also. Yes, I know. Yes. He's still in school, I heard. Yes. I think he's still a teenager. Certainly So that's their That's their new team member They were Kind of trailed a little bit By the videos that they'd Released but They were able to actually officially announce Arvid as being A new member of the Pimple Brothers team So that was Good news And congratulations to him and to Pimple Brothers as well On bringing him on board Yes, indeed So, now, you wonder Would there be any new code from Pivot Brothers? Well, there's the question Funnily enough, yes, there is Now, fortunately Only one game, because they don't have that many They're developing code for And it's Predator Which we've just been talking about And this is actually quite a big update this time around It's still in version 0.90 Which came out on the 13th of November but it has lots of new rules and awards a better use of the Yauta displays on the bottom 8 that we talked about before lots of new lighting effects additional sound calls and quite a bit more stuff built in still don't think they're using those displays on the bottom fully yet, there's quite a lot of work to go, but they are version 0.90 but it's the code's coming together nicely and it just seemed like a bit of a blast to play. And doing what they're really keen on promoting is to draw people into the Predator world, really, to be as if you're thrust into the jungle and straight into battle against the Predator. For more clarification on that, I do recommend to watch the Pinball Brothers seminar. Very thankful that Daniel Janson and Christian Christian from Pinball Brothers were able to make it over to the Dutch Pinball Open Expo show. Although they had a very tight schedule and they only arrived the Saturday afternoon, but they were there. they were able to give a seminar in which they explained what their intention was with the game, what they wanted to do and how they wanted to create a game that does the license justice, so to speak. So if you want to hear them explain what their train of thought was behind the game and so on, then I do recommend watch the seminar that's available on Martin's website, pinballnews.com in the Dutch Pinball Open Expo report. Yes, indeed. So I think that's about it for Pinball Brothers for this month, but we can go back to America and talk about Jack Pinball. Not a lot going on with them at the moment because they're so busy building their very, very popular Harry Potter game at the moment. Yeah, which is also again, they had a Constance line at the Dutch pinball opening. Yeah, two models there on the pinball pleasure Christian and Lennard stand, where they had a collector edition and a wizard edition, I think. And they, as you said, big lines for both of those all the time. They were both used for the youth tournament finals as well, which also got pictures in the report and it's very very impressive how good some of the young players were. With the youngest player in the final actually being three years old, believe it or not. Wow. Yeah. Could barely reach the flipper buttons, but did, and made it into the final. So, you can see that in the report. Anyway, going back to Bob Jonesi, and one of their earlier games, they had a sweepstake for all, where they gave away a Guns N' Roses limited edition machine in a free prize draw. Unfortunately, as often seems to be the case, this was limited to US residents only. I don't quite know why it's written in Britishism, but maybe because it's too complicated when it gets to different territories. Entries for that closed today, actually, the 1st of December. Well, that's actually the 2nd we'll be recording it later tonight. The winner will be announced on the 5th, so if you've entered that draw, good luck. Hope you win. Well, I did enter that draw, and I didn't care about the restrictions, so I hope I win. That'll be interesting. Yeah, fingers crossed then that they forget about that aspect of it. We can always pick it up when you go over to next time, can't we? Oh, yeah. Probably. I'll try to fit it into my... Yeah, okay. Exactly. Yeah, that was the word I was looking for. yeah so and okay then there is a rumor going around and I've known this already for quite some time but I think it's not a problem to address it briefly the rumor going around is that Jean-Paul De Wynne who is the the lead animator for Jersey Jack Pinball and well he also has been acting as art director for the past couple of games. He's taking a break from working for Josie Jack in the capacity that he has been. He's not taking a complete break. He's available for smaller tasks, so to speak, although they haven't asked him yet. But from what I understood from talking to several people, he's taking a break for personal reasons and he's not completely saying goodbye to the company, the door is open he's always welcome to come back and I think that could easily take place but right now he has more desire to work on some other projects. Jean-Paul was at the Dutch Pinball Open. It was good to see him and briefly talk to him. It was a hectic show, of course. One of the things that he did express to me, and I think this is very important to point out because people are already saying like, oh, he will leave such a void and all the knowledge is gone. Well, Jean-Paul has probably trained everybody currently working on Jersey Jack pinball animations including Olof who was also at the Dutch pinball open by the way Olof did already most of the work on Harry Potter and I think we can all agree that it's not looking like Jean-Paul has left the void no No, he's put together a good team. Not to say anything negative about Jean-Paul's work, absolutely not. I mean, the guy has won multiple awards for the best animations in this industry, and rightfully so. And I think it's only fair to say that Olof and the other members of the team are very capable of filling up the high level that Jean-Paul has set the bar, so to speak. Absolutely. And at the seminar at Dutch Pinball Open Expo, the team that he has assembled were there. There was Johnny Regal, Lars Schulten, as you say, and Olaf Remy, of course, was there too. They were all talking with John Paul about the work they put in, the various aspects that they contributed to the Harry Potter game. And it certainly was quite interesting to contrast that to some of the earlier seminars that John Paul did by himself, where he was describing basically he did everything in the game pretty much, But there were a few aspects he farmed out to other animators or model makers, but by and large he was in charge of it. Obviously in this game it was a lot more of a team effort, and as you said, they've put together a very capable team here, and I'm sure they'll obviously miss his contribution to it, but they are more than capable of carrying the next games themselves. Right, and just to remind everybody, this news has not been officially announced by Jersey Jack, but then again, how often do you announce that somebody is taking a break for personal reasons or personal circumstances, whatever you prefer to call it. Anyway, we wish JP the best, of course, in whatever he ends up doing. Right. I think it's important to mention that so far, Jean-Paul, as far as my knowledge goes, has always been a contractor for Jersey Jack Pimble. So in that sense, it's not that strange that at some point, well, let's put it like this. And I'm not quoting Jean-Paul, but this is purely my interpretation. but if you're at the level that Jean-Paul is, at some point even that becomes more of the same which you've already done, and it's not that challenging anymore. Yeah, I think it's helpful for the company to have a different take on some of these things as well, because everybody brings their own ideas for how things could work, and different creative solutions might be helpful, might be welcomed by everybody. Right, well, and as you can see well, Harry Potter is a great looking game with great animations and also a great user interface which is part of what the LCD animator is developing Yeah, there's so much that went into it and so many things that didn't go into it that they had the ideas for but were rejected by the licensor but there's so many little features and polish that they've applied to various aspects and things they tried that they thought was going to be perfect, but the licensor thought needed to be changed and things that they didn't think the licensor would like, but the licensor did like. And you can read and listen and hear all about that in their seminar on the People News site and on YouTube, of course. I recommend it. I watched it because unfortunately I wasn't able to be there And I had to go into the hall For some of that and take pictures of Some of the tournaments but Jonathan Very capably took over Controls for that one So thank you for that sir You're welcome And it was a very interesting talk For somebody who Had only seen a little bit of it At the start and the end There's a lot of detail About how that game came together So it's quite amazing So congratulations to the team Who put so much effort And talent Into that game Right Oh well That rounds it up for Judge Jack Pinball Moving on Moving back To Italy Where we already made a few stops Earlier in this episode With Tony Lumuni and so on but Pedrecci Gaming, which we just mentioned with Pinball Brothers as well, they currently have some offers on their pinballremakes.com shop, including the Whirlwind Total Chaos Kit, which is now down from €2,000 to €1,600. But it's not sure how long that will last. There is no time period. No, it's kind of suggested it was a Black Friday offer, but it didn't say when it expired. But if you are interested in getting that, go and check those prices out now. And I don't know whether they are necessarily reflected by resellers or distributors for those. But if not, then it would be worth getting it shipped over, tariffs notwithstanding. Right. Oh, well, that's the only news we get from Pinterest. Yeah, but keeping on the subject of sales and offers. Black Friday, Cyber Monday. Yeah, all that stuff. Christmas sales, yeah. Let's go over to American Pinball, who, well, not really making much in the way of new titles, and we don't know whether they're actually assembling any games or just selling what they have in stock. But they have started their next sale. Yes, that's right. It's a Tuesday. It must be another American Pinball sale. is the Christmas one. And so it actually runs from now all the way up until the start of Christmas, so I guess it's the 25th of December. They are offering the Galactic Tank Force Deluxe Edition, now on sale, in quotes, at $8,495. This is the Deluxe Edition, not the Collector Edition, or Signature Edition, which is the top of the range. This is supposedly a $500 saving off the MRSP You have to bear in mind that the top of the range signature edition Has been on sale quite regularly in the past for less than $8,000 So $500 less But apparently all the signature editions have been sold out Unless you can find a distributor who's got them So whether this is a great deal or not, I don't know They're paying more than the Signature Edition for getting less than the Signature Edition. On the other hand, this is available from stock, so you should be able to get that fairly quickly. They seem a little reluctant to let people comment on these sales. They posted it on Facebook, and I guess they were a bit concerned that people would comment and say, well hang on this was this was this should be a lot cheaper and the signature edition was less than this so actually limited on Facebook who could comment on the on the post which seems a bit odd and he also did the same for a post on which is also on offer at the moment for what seems to me not a bad price £6,395 for the classic which I think is the one with everything replaced by flat plastics no moulds on there and another $200 more for the deluxe edition which is $6,595 for a brand new Hot Wheels deluxe. Not a bad price, I'd say. They do say that Hot Wheels will be retired after the sale ends. I think they've been threatening to withdraw that. The idea of the license would not be renewed any further. So, after Christmas, I don't know whether they'll be making any more Hot Wheels. They won't be selling any more Hot Wheels, but I guess that means they won't be making them. Anything that's in stock, I'm not sure they can still continue to sell, and there's a few bitters too. Right. Well, usually there is a sell-off period. Yeah, absolutely. When license expires. Yeah. And there was some extra news on American Pinball that I'm trying to look up really, really quick. Okay, while you're doing that, let me Pick up on their News that they too Are doing a sweepstake Theirs is still ongoing It's through their Orbit Games brand Which is like an umbrella company That encompasses American Pinball and Other titles as well Of other manufacturing Brands Including Funds Up Manufacturing Which is their contract manufacturer Anyway if you go to Orbit Games website, then you can enter their sweepstake. As I discovered, it lets you go through all your details, including your international phone number and international address, country of residency, and then at the very end it tells you it's only open to US residents. It's a little bit annoying, but if you do live in the US, then you can enter this, which apparently has prizes worth up to 300 US dollars. That sounds like merchandise. Yeah, I think it is. I think you're going to win a new game. At least not yet. And so that's going up to the end of the year, I think. So, you know, enter the sweepstakes as soon as possible if you live in the US and would like to win some American Pinball merch. Right. Yes, I did. Actually, courtesy of Pimble Flipout, who raised some questions and tried to talk to American Pimble during Pimble Expo. And while we may never get to see American Pimble's Cuphead Pimble game, due to what they call, quote-unquote, licensing issues, the company did express to Pinball Flipout that it plans to release a new game in 2026 around Pinball Expo. And they are not revealing the design team until the game is ready to be revealed. So that remains a mystery. But what didn't remain a mystery is that they announced the hiring of Ben Zink to his service support team. He will be closely working with customers on warranty tickets, general support, and maintenance, that kind of stuff. Good luck with that. Yeah, indeed. I just figured I'd mention that because I don't think we mentioned that earlier on. No. No, I spoke to them at Expo, and they mentioned about two titles in development. And yes, they were planning to release one in 26. There's also a suggestion that they would re-theme Cuphead to a different title, a different theme. But that won't be the next release. But, you know, this is all hypothetical, as far as I'm concerned, until they actually show they can build any games and design any games and they have the people there working for the company to do it, then, yeah, I don't pay too much attention to what their plans are. But, you know, I wish them the best in getting there and it would be great to see some new games coming out from American People. Right. Right. Where shall we go next? Well, I figured we'd go to France. Oh, that's nice. Okay. And if I say France, then I mean Hexa Pinball, because I didn't want to leave this all the way to the end. Hexa Pinball were present at the Dutch Pinball Open. They were? Yeah, with two Space Hunt games. a demo of their plunger leaderboard app and control system and they did a short presentation about the company and addressing their upcoming title, Free Musketeers as well. Of course you can watch that presentation on PimbleNews.com in the Dutch Pimble Open Expo report. And today, Hexa came with, I suppose, some really exciting news, at least for them as a company. They have been collaborating with another manufacturer of a different product, specifically cars. And that manufacturer would be Renault, which is one of the biggest French car manufacturers. in the world. They are launching a new electric Twingo car and they have asked, Renault has asked Hexa Pinball to rebrand their Space Sun game into a Twingo pinball machine. And that game will be installed at their premium dealerships to help promote the return of the Twingo model. Which is of course for a company like Hexa, which is basically a small startup, barely three years in existence. and then to land a deal with a huge company like Renault, that's a very big accomplishment, I would say. Yeah, and don't know how many they're actually going to build of these. And the game also appears on their merchandise shop as well, where they have various caps and T-shirts and mugs and pens and various other Twingo-branded items. it doesn't have a price at the moment, it isn't available to purchase I think they're the car doesn't launch until next year, so I think this is kind of early days for them but quite a lot of the items that are on the shop aren't clickable and you can't actually buy them yet, but I'm sure they will come along at some point, but it'll be good to see Hexapenble getting some sales of their modified space hunt game through the webshop as well giving them extra visibility beyond the standard pinball crowd It gets into the car crowd as well Yes, and, well, I don't know how many premium car dealerships there are for Renault Twingos, but in France alone I think if every one of those dealerships is getting a rethemed space zone game so to speak I think that might well it's going to increase the production of that model significantly. Yeah I don't think it's going to be every dealership, it's going to be just the premium dealerships where they're going to sell. There could still be plenty. Oh, yeah. France is a very big country. Yeah, and it's not just in France. This car's going to be available across the whole of Europe. Even in the UK. It's going to be kind of a... So that game might end up in the UK too. You never know. Yeah. So good luck on them, and it will be fun to see both games side by side set up at Pimble shows as well. Yeah. The differences are easy to spot. Space Hunt is the purple-pink one, and the more green one is the Twingle model. Yep, and to help you identify them in the Pinball News report about this, I've got the playfield side by side, so you can compare the two and see that the playfield is... The actual mechs on the game are the same, But the artwork is obviously different And I think there might be some Differences in the inserts as well So Anyway it's a very Green game for Twingo And a very purple game for Space Hunt So both have their Their fans I'm sure Right Okay So I think that about wraps it up For Hexapimble So we can If you have any extra news you wanted to add No, I think That's it, yeah I'm still Looking forward to The reveal of Their three Muscatine games I tried to get some more info from Hexapimble at the Dutch Pimble show But they Their lips were sealed Oh actually, yes I could actually mention something about that I did ask some questions During the Hexapimble Seminar because when they were at Expo, I asked whether, because they said it was a licensed title, so I asked them, I queried that at Expo in the seminar, and they confirmed that it was. But then I asked them again at the DPO seminar, and they said, no, it's not licensed, but their implementation of it will be done by them because they are creating all their own animations. They're not using any assets from a movie or animation. Everything is going to be developed in-house. So that'll be their own take on the Three Musketeers story, because the original book is long out of copyright. So that cleared that aspect of it up. So, yeah, they've got some in the trailer for it on the Hexapimble website. Actually, not sure it is on the Pimble website yet. But certainly on the video from Pinball Expo on the Pinball News YouTube channel and report, you can watch the trailer for the Three Musketeers that they produced. And, yeah, it's got some nice animation on it. And it's all made in-house. It looked like it could have come from an animated movie. But it's that good. so yeah nice to see that level of art going into the game and I'm looking forward to it right ok so moving on then yes moving on Turner Pinball back to Texas in the US they have been building and streaming Merlin's Arcade Chris Turner said they built and shipped a bunch and they are now working on building the next batch so I think in an earlier episode we discussed how many games they are building a week I think it's four or so, four or five well don't quote me on that so but they are well steadily producing it seems I think they are going to start building the next batch well around about now it's going to be after Thanksgiving I think that was the thing that stopped any further building But just for a few days And now they're back to it And so more games coming out of Turner Pinball So good luck to them with Merlin's Arcade And we look forward Well, it's a fun game It's a nice follow-up to Ninja Eclipse, I'd say And, yeah, okay No more to say about Turner Pinball So let's move on to Chicago Gaming And you have news from them I suppose, and in association with one of their development partners. Yes, which would be Play Mechanics. And together they created Pulp Fiction, as you might remember, which is a great game. Well, Play Mechanics has created their own rewards program, which means they are providing an unspecified discount on Pulp Fiction Standard Edition pinball machines for IFPA tournament players, which are ranked in the IFPA Top 1000. So we don't know how much the discount is. And then you did some research and you figured out that only a limited number of machines are currently available through this program. So reach out to ifbapinball at gmail.com for more details if you are interested. So they already do, through the IPA you can get a discount on Stern games if you're a highly ranked player. but now it's good to see Play Mechanics getting on it in conjunction with Chicago Gaming. Yes. Well, I do see... I can see why this would be applicable to Stern Games and Chicago Gaming games. Having the IFBA being run by the brothers Josh and Zach Sharp, where Zach Sharp is working at Stern Pinball And Josh is a financial controller At Raw Thrills Of which Play Mechanics Is a part of So that makes no sense Okay Pardon me Okay well that's probably about it for the Chicago game Let's go Let's go to a slightly different game Then from Wonderland Amusement so you might remember Producing this 80% Sized pinball machine called Alice Goes to Wonderland. Well, they marketed it initially through a Kickstarter, which was vastly oversubscribed. Well, it's taken until now. It's a little bit longer than they were anticipating, but not massively longer. But they've actually started production of the game. Alice Goes to Wonderland pinball production is underway. Every Kickstarter unit has been completed, which I guess they mean built and now they are on to the manufacturing of additional units that they will sell through retail either through their own website or through other outlets, distributors all in the US at the moment there's no international sales allowed at present now they are taking orders through their own website if you weren't part of the Kickstarter program You can use the code AGTW 2025 At the checkout On the Wonderland amusement site To get $200 off The game From now through to the 5th of December So not very long A couple of days to do that This takes the price down from $1200 to $1000 These units are coming off the line right after the Kickstarter machines I guess it's about now and will begin shipping in January so shouldn't have to wait too long for that so good to see them they've built all the Kickstarter games first as they promised they would do they're not trying to sell retail and get some more funding so all those people who back the projects from Kickstarter should get their units very soon. Right. And in the meantime, the company also announced a licensed theme for their next title, although I'm not sure whether that will be a different design or whether they are re-theming the Alice Goes to Wonderland game. Either way, the license that they managed to secure is Teenage Mutant Ninja circles. Ah, great. Okay. I think I knew that one, because I think they told me that at Expo, but I'm not sure that I was allowed to tell anyone. Well, I read it on the internet, so... Oh, it must be true, then. Yes. Okay. Do you want to be good? At least it's out in the... It's public info, so... Yeah. If it's not denied, it must be true. I think, yeah, I think that is is the case. And, yeah, big hopes for that title, particularly in selling it through some of these big box stores like Costco and Sam's Club and through the Best Buy storefront and basically all the places where you can probably sell a $1,000 or less game a lot more easily than Stern's home model at about 5 or 6 thousand. Right, so I have to say, well I don't have to say anyway. I did play the Alice Goes to Wonderland game at Piml Expo. Of course it's not as deep as Foo Fighters or but for what it is, it's not a bad game. Okay. It could be what Barry Stone was referring to as a gateway game or gateway drug to get people into buying full-size commercial games or coin-op models. And at the price level that it's at, it's actually very tempting not to order one. I was wondering about that myself, but I need to play it some more to see whether it's got any got as they say legs not literally legs but whether it has any lasting appeal whether it is only a short short term appeal but yeah get to play it but yes and also be interested to see what what the second hand price for this is what do they sell for if you try to move it on or does nobody want it I think it's very unfair to do a comparison with anything like the Zizzle games, which this is obviously far more expensive, but also far higher build quality, should we say. Right, yes. Which is remarkable coming from China. But apparently they can do it, although I did have to, well, the flipper rubbers looked a little flimsy. Yeah. But I didn't notice any... Well, they were flipping okay. That's right. Yeah. Well, they were overheating. Anyway. Good. And while we are exploring manufacturers from all over the world, there's one continent we haven't discussed yet. Okay. Which is Africa. Yeah. Strange things in Africa. Yes. But they're no deals from Africa. No, but we do have news from Vector Pimble in Australia. Yes, that's right. They had their Lost in Space prototype game, which we reported on, I think, last month. I changed the name to give the creator credit in the title of it, Irwin something or other. His Lost in Space theme, the prototype for that, with basic code were shown at the Melbourne Pinball Expo. Vector Pinball has found there with the Lost in Space alongside a Peter Brock King of the Mountain game and one of their Holden machines as well. I think the latter two were certainly available for purchase. Lost in Space not yet, but it looks nice. It looks nice and bright and certainly in keeping with the technology that they use in their other games, which are fairly simple playfield design and an alphanumeric display of the type used in games like Mousing Around and things like that. Right. Yeah. So people got a chance to play it. Haven't heard any feedback yet on whether it's a winner yet, but I look forward to seeing it and nice that Lost in Space is getting another outing thanks back to Pinball right yeah so now I've got bad news for those of you waiting for news from Homepin and Pinball Adventures or Rams Rams Pinball in the US or Bitronic in Spain or Cardona Pinball or STR also from Spain, or Quetzalpinbo, there was absolutely no news from any of them. Okay. Well, that doesn't come as a great surprise, but we hope soon to be able to bring some news of, well, from at least two or three of those companies in 2026 in our next update, in our next pincast. However, if we haven't got any news from them, we do have some other news from the industry yeah, starting off with some sad news again from Italy this is really our Italian episode I would say yeah, I got an email from Alessio with the editor of a very I think the leading publication for the coin op industry and gambling industry in Italy as well. Marino Zaccaria has died, and he is, of course, one of the three founding brothers of Zaccaria Pinball, which later became Mr. Game, and it's currently operating as Technoplay, if I'm not mistaken. So, what I understood is he got a COVID infection and went into the hospital and he died of something else. But he went into the hospital with a COVID infection. Oh, yeah. Well, I think he was 89 years old or 98. I'm not exactly sure. I think I heard 88. but certainly around that age. Yeah, I was totally dragged when I was in the DPO. Yeah, it was actually news that came in, I think in De Boer. Well, sad news still, because the Sicariab brand certainly has made its mark in the pinball industry, especially in Europe. And there's still quite a few collectors of Sakaria games scattered all over the world. Definitely. Yeah. It may not have been the best games back then in the 80s, but they certainly have some sort of cult status. Some very novel and innovative ideas in those games. Oh yeah, definitely. Some of which have found their way into later models. other companies. Yeah. Okay. And then, well, on to more, well, everyday type of news, I would say. The, well, the Dutch Primal Open Expo took place. We'll get back to that in a second. But what also took place was IFA Florida, which is a huge trade show for amusement parks and what have you. need a rollercoaster or a swimming pool or a swimming pool yeah, that's right or a log fling or anything any of those theme park rides or everything from there down to single site games single arcade games yeah at the Orange County Convention Centre in Orlando yes, so well that took place. Stern Pimble and Jersey Jack Pimble both had games in booth at the floor. Gary Stern was there and he flew directly from Orlando to Amsterdam to join us at the Dutch Pimble Open. Jack Wannieri was present for representing Jersey Jack of course at the show. He didn't make it to the Dutch Pimble Open which is perfectly fine. but I just figured I'd mention both companies were as every year represented at the IAFA show. Yeah, I remember previous years where American pinball had been represented as well but I guess they're not any longer. Well, they tried to launch their Flying Dutchman game there, which is not a pinball game No. But, yeah, well, that remains one prototype, and that was it. Yeah, I don't think that really gained any traction. It's a shame. It's a fun game, but a simple game, and nothing particularly innovative about it, I don't think. Right, so were there any shows in Europe worth mentioning? Oh, I don't think so. I think I have to wait until next year for something interesting. Oh, hang on, there was this thing in your country, wasn't there? Oh, that's pretty well known. Yeah, somewhere down there. Somewhere near Eindhoven, I heard. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yes, the, what was it, the 20... 26th edition. Yeah, 26th edition. Yeah, it was held at the NH Convention Centre in Veldhoven on the about 20-minute drive south-west of Eindhoven. I can say that because I took an Uber from the centre of Eindhoven to it. So I know it's about 20 minutes. I know it's about 20 minutes too because I had to go. You did, which I was very, very grateful. Yes, I catch my train home. Yes, excellent venue. A different layout this year, which is interesting. Last year, there was one big hall where they basically divided into three sections and they opened up one section for tournaments last year, had another section for vendors and free-play machines, and the central area was for some vendors, free-play machines, and a large dining area where people can enjoy meals from the restaurant there. And have drinks. I love meals. Well, they were right for me. But this year, those two end pieces, where the toilets were and where the free-play machines were, were not used, but last year I had a little peek inside a room on the other side and found this was an enormous great hall that was totally empty. Well, this year it's been brought into use. So there were two halls either side of the corridor, two large halls either side of the corridor, which basically increased the space available quite a lot, made it a lot more roomy. It wasn't crowded such that you couldn't get round machines. I mean, there's still plenty of people there, of course, And I think the turnout was a record again this year, more visitors than ever. But thanks to all the extras. Very busy on Saturday. Yeah. And the tournament, of course, which this event is named after, the Dutch Fingal Open Expo. Yeah, the tournament was very well supported. Big turnouts for those. The varsity oversubscribed initially, and they expanded the number of players that they could cope with. So I don't know how many ended up playing But it's certainly over 300 I think there were almost 300 people In the classics tournament And that was played in a relatively small area And just on one day So that was quite an achievement But they also had pin golf tournaments They had flip frenzy tournaments A youth tournament A ladies tournament As well as the main DPO Which had qualifying from Friday and Saturday And playoffs on Sunday So there was a lot going on there And far too much for me to cover As well as of course the seminars That we were talking about earlier I was about to mention that Yep and plenty of Vendor stands of course in the hall As well as a small selection of Homebrew machines And some real interesting Novelties there as well And of course all the latest titles The big stern selection that we were talking about earlier And their little village That they had, RS Pinball had manufacturers, multiple manufacturers represented from Pinball Brothers and Barrels of Fun, Spooky, had Turner, trying to think who else they had. It was, anyway, they had lots and lots of games there, and they had long lines on many of them as well. And, of course, the Jersey Jack games we were talking about earlier on Dave Christensen's stand were very popular, both the Harry Potter's and the Avatar game that was there. But yeah, and then lots and lots of free play games as well, if you want to go and play some of the more classic older games. Right. So yeah, lots to do over the two days of the show, and so much that goes on. And everything overruns, of course, beyond the posted finish time. So I think the show officially closed at, I'll say... Sunday at six. At six, but the tournament didn't finish until 7.40. And on Saturday, the classics didn't finish until 1.30, I think, in the morning, which I did stay up for, for that one. Unfortunately, I had to leave to get the train home, or train to the airport and then fly home on Sunday night, so I couldn't stay. for the main tournament. But thank you. A big shout out to our good friend, Ad Yonker, who was able to cover both the presentation for the older youth division earlier in the day and also the very finals of the Open tournament and provide some nice pictures for our report. So thank you, Ad, for that. Right. And so who was the main tournament winner? Well, I knew you were going to ask that, and so I'm thoroughly prepared with the answer for that. Any moment now I'll be able to tell you that it is someone who you may well be familiar with from... Well, Italy. Mamma mia, was it Daniele Agai? It certainly was when it came to the classics, yes. Daniele did win the classic tournament on on Saturday night yes at 1.30 in the morning he actually won it on the first few games of three he won the first in those two got eight points and couldn't be caught on the last game so he didn't need to play the last game and already won it but you'll remember a certain Arvid that we were talking about earlier who's tied up with his simple brothers now As a member of their team Well He did pretty well In the Open tournament And Took first place So Congratulations to him And I was kind of Expecting Paul Englert To win Because he's such a good Player as well But he Ended up being second So Well done to him And All the results Are on the In the Pimple News report And Okay Yeah Including pictures from me and from Ad, so, or from Ad and from I, even. So, thank you very much to him and to the whole organising team, both the tournament and the whole show. There's a lot of people involved in that show, including your good self, of course, in arranging various aspects of it and getting special guests and looking after them and ferrying them to and from airports and stations. Oh, yeah. A busy weekend And of course Very special thanks to Well Daniel and Christian from Pimple Brothers who Decided to come after all And were very happy that they Did Gary Stern Jack Danger, Steve Ritchie You might have heard of him He's a game designer He did a seminar as well Twice actually Keep that quiet. And not to mention, or well, actually I'm going to mention, not to forget, I would say, Tony Ramunni from Bologna, Italy. Yep, a good schedule or good program of seminars. And yes, Steve was good enough to do his twice and make slight differences between the two presentations. And different questions as well in the two days. So nice to hear that And also Good to see Dr. Sander Back Doing his presentation about The psychology of pinball And why we get angry at pinball machines And indeed at ourselves When we're playing them And one final Big thank you, very big thank you To Marcel van Kessel With the main organizer Orchestrating the whole thing And directing everybody in their own specialties and whatever they have to contribute to the event again he has done a fantastic job so Marcel thank you very very much yeah somebody who's in charge of so much of the show he seems so calm throughout the show you often see him just sitting there having a drink or a snack with other members of the team and now all around this whole show was going off in various areas and so much happening and all seemed to be very calm and controlled. So, yes, congratulations to him and the whole organising team there. There's so many of them. I have a picture of them in fact in the report. You could even see yourself. Oh, I have to see it. Hmm. Yes, there you are. Standing behind Adi Anka. And next to him also. Yeah, so anyway, also present at the Dr. Primmel Open, I'm going to make a bridge to the next item. Oh, please do. It was a pin sound from France, actually not represented by Nicolas or his brother, but by Alain and a few others. And they have a special promotion currently running for Black Friday. buy three get one for free that's it that's a little bit of a tongue breaker but buy three get one free yes that's right if you go to their website buy any four items and the cheapest one is free if you use the promotion code BF2025 I'm assuming it means Black Friday dash B3G1 as in buy three get one and as I said cheapest item is free didn't say as well I could see exactly when this offer ended there's a Black Friday Cyber Monday promotion but if you were wanting to get some Pintown components for your games get over there and buy them now and you can get a free one yeah maybe we should advise them to if they're doing this again, not to use the code B3G1, because that implies that you buy three and you get one. Yes. Yeah. No, buy three, get one for free. To be five, three, get four. Yeah, exactly. That's what it probably should be. So get one for free. Anyway, that's a little detail. Check for the correct code. Well, BF2025-B3D1. Yes, remember all that. Good. I'm sure if you just go to the Pintown website, it tells you what to type in anyway. Assuming the office is still running when you get there. Okay, other news. Well, we've covered Ryan Claytor's Elephant Eater Comics Annual Dispatch publication and the Kickstarter that he ran to help publicize that and to launch it. And, of course, he was at Pinball Expo with the one and only draft copy of it for people to have a look at. Well, that's all been printed, and all the orders for people to do back the Kickstarter project have been fulfilled. So they've all been sent out. Now, extra copies have been printed, which means it's now available to order directly from the Elephant Eater Comics website. if you want to do that. Of course, you don't get any of the backup perks that you could have had if you'd backed it in the first place, but you can certainly get full copies of the annual dispatch from Ryan through the Eartha Eater Comics website. So if you put that in, I'm sure you'll be able to find it through your favourite search engine. Right. Okay.
