So, one of the things that you might have just noticed right off the bat is um the game has a lot more speech now. Um
we have uh speech from uh Michon custom speech as you just heard. Yeah. And uh and then we also have a lot of uh speech from the show. And so you just heard the the governor. I have a really long list that I will [laughter] uh talk about when I'm done. But um yeah, so it just breathed lots of new life into the game this past code update.
So Nick, for those that don't know, uh why would you specifically know so much about this game? What what is it that you do here at Stern Pin? So I am uh one of the lead uh game testers here at Stern. Uh so I work closely with uh the programmers and the developers um and the designers as well uh to try to make the game not broken and uh to try and make it as best as possible.
Heck yeah. Uh fun fact, the OG Walking Dead was the first game I played that got me a pivotal. Dude, Pog, that's awesome.
Nice. Yeah, the original Walking Dead has um some cool history with me as well. It was the very first new release Stern pinball machine
um or new pinball machine in general to get a live stream reveal. Uh I worked with Stern at Expo the year this came out and we live streamed the game. There was a tournament or something being held on and it was uh yeah, this is the start of the relationship between stringball and Jupers. Good, good throw. Oh yeah, Nick went ahead and put a tilt online.
There's uh there's a lot of uh funny tilt warning speech calls, so just want you guys to to hear them.
Oh, by the way, internet uh does everything look and sound okay. Hopefully. Arcade, what's up? Tater, good to see you. SLC loving, dude. The longest ramp. I love that shot. [laughter]
It is a giant ramp. the I remember when we brought this overseas to the Dutch ball expo.
Um I think has there I can't remember has there been a code update since then? We So we've made the score we put a black outline around it before. It was just like a blood splatter text and it was a little hard to read. So we've definitely upped the contrast on that.
Yeah. Other than uh other than lots of new speech, uh there were a lot of other just general improvements uh to the game.
Um some of the wizard modes look and play a lot better. And uh yeah,
come back as one of these.
Callouts are also way better. Heck yeah.
All right, let's see if I can play pinball. Oh, this has like the the shooter knob on it, too, that you can't see. But yeah, we have the the topper, the the three very spoopy looking heads.
All right, come on down, buddy. All right, so Nick, what should I be shooting for right off the rip here? So, you can uh you can do a lot of things, but if you want to start your modes, there are a bank of three drop targets on the left side right there. And those will light your dead features, which are your five modes around the playfield.
So, I got to clear them.

That's a door now.
And so, you just loot this top. And what if I miss like that?
Um, that's okay. Uh, you can keep looping that ramp until you shoot another shot and that locks in your value.
Oh, okay. So, I'm all Okay, so I just screwed up.
Uh, yeah, I I believe your value is now locked in.
Um, so in order to complete the mode, you shoot the center ramp twice.

Yeah. Uh uh some of the shots have opened up a little bit. So it's just it's it's that little bit more forgiving.
Yeah. Or you definitely cleaned up uh some of the geometry on this.

clear them until I start my dead feature.
Yep. Um, however, the the first uh dead feature that you play, the second one you need to complete the drops twice.

so it it makes it a little harder.

should really really remaster Transformers. It's my favorite theme. The Gomez The Gomez banger transform.
I haven't played that game in a freaking lifetime. It's got that fun like left ramp loopy thing.
Yeah, there's some neat stuff on that game.
All right, I have lit my dead features while in the multiball. You can do that in this game.
So, um I need to choose my mode wisely here.
Jackpot.
You going for arena? I'm I'm going for Riot. Riot is a uh good multiball mode.

Um tunnel tunnel is also a pretty good multiball mode.

I I was not paying attention up there and then all of a sudden I was like, "Oh, I see the ball going around." away.
So, I've also started a blood bath, which is completed by getting all three uh inserts on the left draw target bank.
And you have to play field going for 32 more seconds.
I got a lot of stuff happening all at the same time, which is uh how you score big points in this game.
Uh DNK says, "Going to play Pokémon tonight for the first time. It just showed up close to you." Heck yeah.

Um, and then we also have speech from the show uh of Carol, Dale, Daryl, Glenn the Governor, Hershel, Dr. Jenner, Lorie, Maggie, both Moral and Michonne, Morgan, Rick, Shane, Tara, and T Dog.

So, yeah, there's there's a lot more going on this game now. That's uh that's a lot. By the way, I failed completely to keep the ball.

So, how are you getting these weapon multi-kills?
So, uh you get multi-kills from doing various things throughout the game. Um so, for each dead feature, uh x amount of shots in that dead feature will get you a multi-kill.
Okay.
Or it's also, you know, a certain amount of combos, certain amount amount of right ramps,
top bumper hits.
Yeah. a bicycle girl doing the multiballs.
Okay, so it's just different objectives then.

Are there any restart call outs yet?
You're almost there.

What What do you mean by restart like
Well, walker multiple.
Um
how so? Like I traditionally restart pretty much every game I play. I'm ball one because I've sucked. Uh, I think Keith might have put a restart call.
So, there is um there are speech calls that were actually that was interesting. Oh, and that's good training. Um, in the original game, uh, there were call outs that would happen if you started a game x amount of ending x amount of time after ending another game. So, um, and those are those are here. Um,
cool. with with their own uh mic worker speech.
Is there still plans for new code development into this game? Yep, there's still we're only at 0.9. Only at 0.9 Don't open dead inile. [laughter]
So CDC is one of the modes that got a lot of new speech, especially from the show. shell driven by mindless instinct.
Um, from

Dr. Jenner are deployed to prevent any organisms from getting out.
The the the little like animated or automated, not animated, automated voice uh that's in the CDC in the show. Um, same thing with tunnel. There's a lot of new tunnel speech.

Um, just every area of the game basically go
has new speech. career or what
with two extra just dumping points.
And I have hoardlet because I have gotten all six multi-kills.

that is uh that's your multi-kill. So if I were to hit that, I would get uh
certain amount of points. I don't exactly remember how it's uh calculated. I think it's something to do with the

So, Horde is a really fun mode. You constantly have walkers on all five shots everywhere. Uh yeah, coming towards you and uh so it's really intense. Um and uh you get adds throughout this mode. So
uh from doing certain amount of shots
is the flash by Woodbury supposed toink when escape is lit in horde?
Currently it does not, but it would be nice.
I don't know. All right. I'm also gonna get 300 million.

You can get a lot of big points uh really fast in this game.

the stack with multipliers and then the inlane multiplier. This game destroys me, but the more I learn to play it, the more I learn to like it. That's it, man. It's like there's certain games where uh
you because of you whooping your butt.
