I'm Mike Dus and this is Pinball Shenanigans. [Music] Yo, what's going on? I'm heading over to the Grazley garage. I have to bring Kevin a flipper bat and shaft for Mark and City who is working on his new project. Mark is the one who created The Nightmare Before Christmas custom machine from scratch and he's working on his next project. It is a 1980 The Amazing Spider-Man got system 80 machine, but he's revamping it and adding a bunch of stuff to it. New boards, new um he's going to add like an upper playfield and uh kind of redesign it a bit, but it's going to stay the same theme. It's going to have like LCD screen and it's going to be like a modernized version of it. So, he needs an extra flipper for the upper playfield and he needs Kevin to extend his shaft so that it can fit all the way through. So, I'm going to bring that over there. And in Graasley Garage fashion, I'm going to snoop around and see what's going on over there. He has been working diligently on the radical project and he also has started his Flintstones project. I seen a photo or two and it looks like he went with the alternate art package on the Flintstones and it looks amazing. The Radical looks incredible. I got the sneak peek. I haven't seen them live yet. Looks like um powder coating has come in. in the radicals mostly put together. Might even be able to play it. I don't know the status of the Flintstones. It was just the cabinet that I saw last all decaled and couple legs on the uh on the front just to kind of see the color of the powder coating which is NBA Fast Break Orange. Radical is a nice bright like party zone yellow. And uh there's a couple other things going on. The queue is deep. The garage is full. Kevin's just trying to bang off projects to get a little bit of space back. I think our buddy Brian. I've done some wheeling and dealing with him in the past has dropped off a $6 million man that I actually sold him like maybe eight years ago or something. It's a while back. He loves that game, so he wants to give it the full Grazley Garage treatment. And rumor has it that Mr. London Pinball might be there while I am there. He's dropping off a uh Stern Stars project. I'm not sure what the story is on that, but so there's some things going on over there. And um we'll snoop around when we get there and check out the action. All right, just made it to the Grazley garage. Kevin has got himself a little dusty. What's going on here? Is this a whirlwind? Whirlwind. What the hell you got over here, man? This looks like some strokers uh old pool table lights. They are. That is freaking wild. How did you end up with this? Strokers was my old stomping grounds. I played like hundreds of tournaments back in the day. And Stroker was uh yeah, one of my go-to places. Well, I actually had some pinball machines uh at Strokers just a few years ago, too. So, there's some history there. Where did these come from? That's kind of why I got them. That's awesome. I love it. They're actually uh Tyler got them and uh he took the the ballasts out so he could put them in his garage. Oh, yeah. What you going to do with these things? I don't know. Turn it into a canoe and sail down the temps. We'll see. I feel like the coolest part is Yeah. Oh, yeah. Absolutely. Is [ __ ] Yeah, that's true. There's four of them, actually. Is there four? Oh, wow. Oh, cool. I didn't realize there's one in each. So, there's two, but Oh, nice. And so, when the light comes on, they shine through, right? Oh, these monstrosities. Uh, they're not too bad. Oh, I'm going to I'm going to break them before I buy them. That's freaking cool, man. All right, so what's going on? You're finally uh sanding down the whirlwind 2.0. I know you got sidetracked by a couple other projects. Kind of trying to do them all at one go, but Well, you just need to clone yourself a couple times and then you might be able to pull that off. Yeah. Did uh Cory make it yet? Not yet. Okay. He's going to be here at 2. Oh, yeah. But it's three. Yeah. All right. Well, uh he's bringing us stars, I guess. Yes. Okay. Well, maybe he'll show up and uh explain what this stars is all about cuz you mentioned something about it. But is it something to do with JC? Yeah. But he already bought your stars. Wait, no. Bought Cory's stars. Bought Cory's first stars. Yes. Which was my old stars? Yes. But then this is the This was your old stars. The second stars that Shane has that. Oh, yeah. Right. Okay. So, this is a third stars. This is a third stars. Um, but it's uh a project. Yeah. But it has new playfield, new CPR back glass, new plastic set. Okay. Not installed. So, it's you project. That's for you. So, instead of doing that to the one that John has now, Cory traded this project to John and going to take the other one back. Okay. Fork River. And then Sweet. So, it's just Stars is coming to Fork River. Oh, yeah. So, this is going to be uh basically everything you had to buy is now just all here. Okay. Well, yeah, that works. Okay. So, John's going to get a a stars upgrade basically. Whoops. Trading in his old one and then putting it towards a uh full grazely restored stars. Yeah. Which was going to be the other one anyway. So, yeah, now he just saves all the money. Six of one, half dozen of the other kind of thing. But I thought he already bought like the playfield and plastics and everything. So, you might end up with two stars projects possibly. I don't know. All right. So, what's going on in the uh garage? Not much. This was uh I was trying to get ready for paint, so I kind of moved everything out of here. Ah, so it's all in the arcade. Yeah. All right. Where's the Dutchmeister? Okay. Hi, Mabel. Don't get up for me. You just chill there, cutie. And Maynard. He looks pretty comfy. He likes chilling in the sun. Oh, you want a belly rub? Yes, you do. Okay. Well, oh, yeah. So, I got this. This is for you. This is for Mark and City. He wants to know if you can extend his shaft. Yes. That sounds weird every time you say it's only a couple inches. I'll get the the exact measurement, but I think it's supposed to be 2.25 in. Wow, the arcade is a little full. Check this out. You know what? We forgot to even mention this virtue of fighter 2 in the last episode. Yeah, I don't know. There's the $6 million man. Oh, wow. This is totally put together now. And oh wow, this is also totally put together now. And then there's Barraora, which is just waiting for Captain. Oh, okay. I just kind of got to get an overview of the arcade. This is just ridiculous. A room full of awesomeness and it is stuffed, but I love it when it's stuffed. Wait, that also sounded weird. I take that back when it's stuffed and extending. You extend the shaft first and then we'll talk about stuffed. Okay, so this alternate art package looks amazing. I love it so much better. It's got the like the full cartoon characters cuz the other art's based off of the movie, right? But it's not even art. Like it's just black with just the Flintstones logo. This guy just on the side, right? That's it. That's the whole cabinet. That logo set in front of just a black background. But uh is that all there is even on the the head too in the original? I think it's got a bowling pin or something. Okay. The uh is this the exact same uh powder coating as NBA? It looks a little bit darker. Uh it is the same actually. Is it? Yeah. It's got the uh speckle in there. Yeah. It's hard to tell. Yeah, it is hard. Yeah. That's awesome. I love this. And um so you've got to have passed over the 100 restoration mark by now, I would think. Eh, yeah, I think I'm 106. 106. Uh, and in what, like two years? I don't even know. No, it's got to be more than that. Art blades are awesome. I love that. And this is the original speaker panel, I'm guessing. And translate. See? Yeah, these are the uh the non-carto that are I do have a cartoon character translate as well. Oh, do you? Yeah. Are you putting that in? Uh, we'll see. I'm kind of undecided at this point. Once I get the playfield done, cuz it has then you have to put a decal across the the sort of the center. Like the center kind of here is just all those characters right there, but there's a decal that changes them into the cartoon characters. You can, but then like the DMD is still like not movie characters, right? So, Right. So, do you kind of leave it movie character and cartoon character? I don't know. Yeah, I guess you have to just we'll see how it check it out and see. But this thing looks amazing. And where's the playfield part? Dutch is working on that. So, kind of got here, but nice. Yeah, more orange powder coating. Yeah, it's looking good. That's going to be killer. But yeah, it's uh like these were just admiring your handiwork. What's up, Dutch? Not much. Oh, nice shirt. Thank you. Yeah, these were the post and so we just like Wow. Did you just go new? Yeah. Okay. I was going to say I don't know if you can ultra ultrasonically. Those are beyond ultrasonically bring all the plastic back on this one. So, we kind of put a pause about a bunch of new parts. Yeah, that's probably smart. Yeah, there's no there's no rescuing that. I didn't get very far on the play field, but basically what I could with the parts I have. Yeah. Cool. So, we just ordered a bunch of new [ __ ] I love how the cabinet turned out. Oh, yeah. Yeah. That's great. All right. And then Radical is done. Well, my part's done. Your part's done. Yeah. It's off to Shane next to uh deal with the playfield. I think he's getting a new playfield, new ramps. New playfield, new ramps, and probably Yeah. new plastics and all the uh top side parts. It'll be one pretty sweet radical. Oh, pretty cool back glass. I've never really paid much attention to it. It's a translate, but it's got the uh skateboarder dude and the skateboard. Oh, it can even play it possibly. Does it work? Yeah, it does play. Yeah. Amazing, but yeah. Well, you know, after Shane gives it the full treatment, then uh it'll be pretty uh pretty sweet. But as is right now, um well, you know, I got to give it a go here. So, maybe you can explain the rules to me while I play football or two. Okay. Two things to start off. One, the volume is low. Second, um there's no cabinet speaker in this game. Oh, right here. There's supposed to be one. [Music] So, it we're just going to get uh the front speaker audio. All right. Could be better than nothing. Spell radical. Okay. That's fun. Might be a little loud. Might have to turn that down. That's not that loud. Yeah. Okay. All right. Child ears. Yeah, I'm old. Okay. There we go. [Music] This thing is crazy. [Music] Left flippers a little touchy. [Music] This game just has so many ramps and uh paths to the ball. It feels like very uh Dennis Nordmany, you know, like white water and black water and demolition man. That guy. Hey, hit that drop target. Okay. Well, that spot me a C, it looks like. And it will also that target behind it will be lit for spot a letter. [Music] got party zone vibes to it, but better some guitar rifts. Listen to this left flipper. Uh-oh. I think the uh opto is uh not returning very well. I'm assuming it's opto. It's like phantom clip. It's a monster bash, right? Okay. What do I got for radical letters? Uh, see down there. I need an eight. So, you'll get that by plunging, I think. Just need one one hand to play. Come on. Hit me. Oh, ski pass. Oh, this is the big money shot, right? No. Okay, now this is the big money shot up here. Oh, that million. Oh, that was a small lock. Oh, that was a ball walk. Whoa. Oh, that was a cute little skateboard going across. It's supposed to that when you plunge I guess the switch gets uh moved when you pull the plunger back. Yeah, cuz it went through ball search when I was trying to bounce past there. The flipper flipped on me. That's hilarious. Yeah, it went to ball search when the ball was just sitting in the shear lane. So, that switch is a little sketch. All right. So, what are we doing now? Spell radical. Rival. Okay. All right. [Applause] That's kind of adorable. Oh, yeah. You can heat down skateboard. [Music] I think it's supposed to be like like a construction barricade. Oh, is that what it was? Say it was a pretty pretty bad looking skateboard if that's what it is. All right, we need a R. We need a lot of letters. Oh, nice. Yeah, Newton bolts out. I kind of love that. That was really cool. [ __ ] Oh, wow. Okay. Uh, we might have to cheat ball three to make sure we get this multiball cuz I want to see that. I'll try and get it the oldfashioned way. So, I need these drop targets and then try and get that target. That's really cool. I don't know if you can pick that up on the camera, but what the thing goes down and it diverts it. No, the outlane thing where the ball like down here. I'll try. And then this ball fires into the ball that's coming in and like just cheater it. I just throw it in like this. Okay, here we go. Wait, how do you Oh, no. You just feed it through here. Oh, here we go. See that? Yeah. That's [ __ ] cool. There we go. See that? [Music] Hey fellow shenaniganders, if you are enjoying what you are seeing, why don't you click on these three dots at the bottom of any video and then find this heart. Click on that and hey, look at this. You can buy me a beer. You can use the slider to buy me 500 beers if you really like. But this is a way you can uh send thanks and I very much appreciate your support. If you do so, your comment will be highlighted and also I will give you a shout out. So, thank you for all your support. All right, let's let's uh pan out here and get the full play field again. Uh let me go back to my All right, my perch. Where is my a uh it's the vertical ramp right there, but the lights out. Oh, I don't know that I hit that ramp yet. I'm coming. I'm coming. Here we go. Oh, yeah. That's cool. Okay. So, now so when it says radical, we'll skate or die. John Youssi all those purple arrows light up? You hit those shots and it'll divert it into there. Either here or here or here will divert it to the lock. Oh, that's why. All right. Let's see the best way to do that. Well, probably. Oh, had a chance there. The Here we go. That's cool. And then hit that side ramp. Yeah. Okay. It kind of has creature from the black lagoon place uh ram up there. Oh, and there is no restart, I'm pretty sure. So, you got to So, I got to feed where do I got to feed this? Up the spinner. Good question. I think so. This left flipper is going to screw me over here. I'm going to stage this upper left flipper and then try and feed the spinner up there. Yeah, that that's got it. [Music] What it's supposed to say? Mega Millia. [Music] I was expecting some call out fanfare there. Just a couple little audio clips. All right. So, I don't know. I didn't make this game. Well, maybe you should have. Okay. So, uh now is that million shot bust a move available? Uh it looks like it. Let's try that. I'm not sure what's up. Look, looks like the game wants you to spell radical again. [Music] Maybe that relights the Mega Million. But that shot is really hard because there's no good feed for it. The only feed to that flipper is through the pop bumpers. Maybe. What about the L? Does that not feed the upper flipper? Yeah, I know it does. Through the pop bumpers. Through the pop bumper. Oh, I see what you mean. Okay, let's try that. And also this doesn't work. Oh, I think Here we go. Move. Oh, [Music] I want to wipe out during multiball. But oh well. Okay. Well, I can see why uh people love this game. That is really fun. There's so much going on here. Well, that's like totally gnarly. That's awesome. So, all things considered, it actually functions pretty well and looks incredible. [Music] And then I hear you got yourself another project. $6 million man. Who? Me? Not me. You're not. Yeah. You're going to be doing the playfield probably. Yeah, probably. So, yes. I actually sold this to Brian like many moons ago. Probably seven or eight years. And I think I even did some playfield touch-ups way back when. Can't really see. It's good reflection on the glass. But what's going on with this thing? Is it getting a new playfield or is it just getting a full cab job or I forget. Yeah. Well, I don't see a playfield here, so uh probably just going for the full cab treatment. This looks like it was looks like a lot of extra paint on there, right? That doesn't look original. Yeah, like that is definitely touched up. So, probably wasn't flaking off like that in what was it 79? Yeah, 78 or 79. So, well, it's going to be grazified, so that'll be pretty sweet. Brian loves this game and uh wants to spare no expense on it. So, he will be a happy camper. And you know what we didn't even talk about in the last video? What's that? Which was a new addition to the games room is the Virtual Fighter 2. Oh, yeah. You know, someone messaged me and was like, "Hey, they wanted uh like my my future spa or something, I can't remember, and wanted to know if I would trade an arcade game towards the purchase of it." And I said, "Sorry, dude. It's sold." But, you know, what's what's the deal with the arcade machine? Then he sent me a photo and I'm like, "Oh, fighting game." I know Dutch likes fighting games. So, I do like fighting games. You guys ended up like picking it up pretty much the day I showed it to you. It's literally the day cuz the price was fair. And um so is it working? Oh yeah, it works. Okay. Well, why don't you uh give us a quick little demo? Can you play a single player game or uh yeah, cuz I don't know that I can I could try and film and fight at the same time. Heck, I'll get my ass kicked even if I am two-handed. So, hold on. I got an idea. Okay, pause the video. All right. Okay, Dutch busted out his tripod. We're going to beat up on each other. But before we do that, I just wanted to show, check this out. This is the powder coating for the Whirlwind 2.0. It is the same as Radical, which is one shade lighter than The Road Show. And uh here is uh some of the uh art that's going to be going on the whirlwind 2.0. Got the head art there. And then so you can see a little bit more of the action down here. Oh, here's the Flintstones cartoon translate. I like that. I like that a lot. And then there is the cabinet art for whirlwind total chaos and yeah and many other things and a whole pile of other things. You got a few more games in the queue. That's probably like an inch thick worth of art. Don't worry, there's five more sets on the way. Is there really? Oh my god. And I didn't really show this off, but you've got the art blades on here as well, which are pretty cool. But yeah, I really enjoyed playing this game. Should get Shane to trade this to you for something else. Work on another few machines in uh in exchange for this guy. All right, Dutch, you ready to get your ass kicked? Stick this on the tripod. We'll be right back. Okay, we are live. Dutch is on the left. I am on the right. And uh what do you know about Virtue of Fighter 2? Not much. It's very different than Street Fighter. All right. That's basically all I know. I might have played it on my like Sega CD or something. Saturn. They they had Oh, Saturn. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. I like this dude. All right. I'm going to be uh this dude with the funky haircut. I like the fluorescent green hair. So, defense, punch, and kick. [Music] See? Dutch doesn't know this game is Hey, don't like belly flop me. That's not a cool move. So, I'm just trying to think. Okay. Yeah. Cool. Okay. How about I just walk up to your face and punch it. Ed Boon. Ed Boon. Just like you're dead. Oh, that hurt. I like I like walked right into that one. I'm Jackie and you're Jeffrey. Okay. Jeffrey. All right, Jeffrey. Watch your face. See that move? Oh, I almost got you there. Oh, no. Walking, too. Oh, I just thought I was dead. I'll just do that and then that. What if I hit both buttons? Ed Boon. Do a super move. Up, down, left, right. Oh, the belly flop. [Music] I know how to play a little bit. Okay. So, is that game over? Yeah. All right. We need your dad in here to try and kick your ass. All right. All right. I'm subbing in Kevin because uh I suck and uh you play that guy. I'm putting my money on Kevin. Putting your money on Kevin. All right. I know. It's It pays good odds. That's why. Uh I got it. Okay. Here we go. La versus Jeffrey. I mean, he has a better chance at this game cuz we both don't know what we're doing. Really? Well, I know when you guys first picked it up, he said he kicked your ass all day long and you like went to bed crying. Yeah, something like that. To be fair, I exacted my revenge the next day. Oh, yeah. I'm not surprised to hear that. Well, floating in the sky maneuver, but that is not good for your back. Oh, that's not good for me. He's just sitting there. Ran out ran out the timer. Scrub tactics. Oh, nice move. I forget how to play this. That was also a good nice defense on the belly flop tactic. That's Dutch's only move, the belly flop and the [ __ ] the back breaker that does half your health. How about that move? Nice defense. Trying to knock you out of the ring. Oh no, I'm dead. I I lose. Oh, timed him out. Yeah, good job, buddy. I got I knew I put my money on you for a good reason. Look who showed up. Fancy seeing you here. What's up? Put the gear to kick ass and take names. Oh [ __ ] chew gum or something. That's how they Okay, look at what you brought. Look at what the cat dragged in. Stern stars with a new playfield. All right. What's the story on this? Where'd you get all this stuff? That's the ramp we're going to use to pick the cabinet at. So, a friend of mine contacted me and said, "Do you want this stars project?" Wow. Hey, you're missing an insert. That's the uh That's a rollover. Oh, yes. Right. Bonus rollover. And one up here, too. And oh my Oh, [ __ ] I'm stuck. Okay. A wiener. So, here we go. All right. And I'm presuming that is maybe a back glass. That's the glass. Um and I got a plastic set with it as well. All right. Cool. Well, throw it in the queue. Uh here's the before. Whoa. What happened to this coin door? Why is it like two-tone? paid I think he paid me 12 grand and uh Plefield is uh according to him a little bit chunky some dude it'll make a good wall hanger used to be paint here yeah so you got to play supreme yesterday it's kind of rare Yes, it is a unique game. And was it fun? It actually is more fun than you might expect. Yeah. Um, it was what is it? Star Wars Home Edition or something. Spider-Man Home Edition. Spider-Man Home. I don't even know if I've ever played that. And uh yeah, it was way more fun than interesting than I expected it to be. It's a very bizarre looking game. Oh, there's the plastic set. Yeah, plastics. And there's also uh uh spinner decals in here as well. How many Supremes do you think they made? Did they Was it published? 100. Okay. And they sold for stupid amount of money. They sold actually at the time they sold for 12 grand. I think I was like, "Holy crap, so expensive." Like solenoid drive one. Brainstorming to solve Knocker issues on Frankenstein. That's a combination. Still working on knockers. I'll say it now though. I watched the trailer for this movie. This movie looks [ __ ] sick. Oh, and not to mention it probably sucks, but I I [ __ ] I want to watch it now. Dutch said to me earlier that he has got to the wizard mode on every single game that he has owned except for Frankenstein. Wrong. Okay. Up until recently. I still have another one I haven't beaten. But you don't currently own that one? No. You owned it, sold it, and it is coming back to the arcade. And what is it? Tune in next time. There you go. Turn on that notification bell so you don't miss any future uploads so you can figure out what game we're talking about. By Stern, actually. Yeah, by Stern Pinball. Good start, coach. All right, more logic probing. There may or may not be a knocker at the end of this episode. Shh.
