All right, we're going to go head over to John Chest's place. Check out his collection. Hey, what is that uh what's that sticker on that guy's car right up front here? What is that? I say what? Pinball shenanigans. What the I'm Mike [music] Dus and this is Pinball Shenanigans. [music] All right, here we go. Let's check out the action. Is it bad that I show your uh unit number? It's okay. Okay. All right. Here it is. So, this is John Chest's place, aka JC, aka Pinball Santa. Hey, look, Santa Claus right there. So, this is a two-bedroom apartment you got here, right? Yeah. This is where I live as a as a member of the Homestead staff. Right. And you've got uh as many machines that you can fit in this two-bedroom apartment as you could pretty much and still have furniture. So, yeah, that was the thing. I Oh, I got to go take off my shoes. Oh, no. It's okay. All right. That's fine, Mike. Okay. All right. Well, it's a nice uh set of games you got here. Yeah. I had a desk here and I got to put the pin holes here. Oh, yeah. So, as you can see, I got a 2024 Stern Avengers Infinity Quest model game. Yeah. You've just got this uh this year, right? Like a few months ago. October. In October. Yep. So, it's a newer um production model. So, it's got the Insider connected. Yeah. Cuz my Avengers Infinity Quest did not have Insider connected. And um I recognize this game. Yeah, this was yours, Mike. This was mine. Yeah, I took it out of your basement. Yeah. And this is uh Grazley Garage Restored. Adam's family. It's a nut and bolt top to bottom. Full cabinet job. Bunch of cool mods. It's got the purple powder coating throughout. I see you got the uh the Fester cup holder, obviously the custom shooter rod and plaque, powdercoated coin door, custom apron cards, and it's got that tilt graphics package. So that included the art blades, the um the bookcase floor, the thing decal, and uh some other stuff, too. I think Target decals. And I see since you've had it, you added these cool flipper toppers. Yeah, I got those from Tilt Graphics. Oh, yeah. I did them for the Avengers uh uh Taxi and Jaws. Oh, you got them on Avengers, too? Yeah. Right on. What do you think of the Avengers? I like this game. It's like because you're basically if you know all the Avengers from the Marvel comics. Yeah. Like Hulk, Captain America, um Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow. Yep. But yeah, it's got all the characters. Yeah. And it's got I'm just checking out the differences because I had the premium and I see cuz you don't have the ramp the wire form that comes up and around which is really hard to hit. So I kind of like the spinner shot better. Well, this one's the pro model. Yeah. So your um spinner doesn't lift up. N and you can't lock balls in there. But [snorts] might be better that way. Who knows? Yeah. But yeah, you uh got this off me just you were saving up for it for a while and uh you know eventually uh got her home. Mustered up the funds. Brought it home just what a couple months ago now. Yeah, that was back in September I think. Colored EMD. Oh, no credit dots. That's good. So you've been playing it a bunch? Yeah. And then this game also looks familiar. Yeah, this was your taxi. you on a recent episode I saw you had it and why I want see if you want to sell this one too and you did. Yeah. I wasn't really planning on letting it go but you know I just have so many games in the queue and Rob Vieira was trying to buy it off of me and he snoozed and he loed. But at that time I wasn't really I was very on the fence about whether I wanted to sell it or not. And then here I actually upgraded the LEDs. Did you? They're a little bit dim. When I had when I had it, they're like warm white, but I put the actual natural white in the cabs, the images, the pop armor cabs, and the spin up paint. And then on top, I added a brand new taxi topper. And then you gave me the old topper, too, which I'm going to put somewhere in my basement. Yeah, cuz uh this one here was yellowed. Yeah. But I wanted to, you know, and then I got new LEDs up there. It's nice that the taxi topper is even available. But yeah, it definitely looks better. I think the LEDs that were in it were all like older style, right? Yeah, they were. They weren't all that bright. Yeah, they were like And then Oh, yeah, that looks good. Let's see. The uh NV RAM Cory installed or or battery or whatever it was cuz when I had it, it was uh the battery holder was no good. So, there Cory installed the coin saw battery. Yep. And uh now she's good to go. That was ba basically the only thing. Did you have any other troubles at all with this or? Nope. Cory said that was the only thing to do. And after that, it just when you turn it on, you don't have to flip through the the audits [snorts] to get it play a game. Yeah. If your batteries are dead, you kind of got to cheat the system with the uh audits to get the game to start. Yep. Got a pinbot. Pinbot teapot. That's awesome. Love that. And I And you got um custom apron cards, too. Yeah. And tons of Oh, flipper toppers. Those are awesome. I love those. Yeah, that's a nice uh nice games room you got here. This is So, this is the living room. Games room. Yep. And then you turn around. But wait, there's more. Oh, you turn yourself around. Pass. Oh, look at this. Dining room. There's two. This is the dining room. Games room. You just got this stars yesterday, right? Yeah. This was a full-blown u restoration by Kevin and Grace the garage. This here was basically a game that Cory had. It was like I bought Cory's original but he wanted it for Fort River and he came across this one which included [clears throat] new playfield, new back glass, new plastic set, the full package. The full package. So, we swapped it back between each other and Kevin did the restoration on the ging. And then basically, let me pan around to the side here to show off Kevin's uh handywork here on the cabinet. Well, the whole machine. Yeah. But this is, you know, better than new. Yeah. This is like we there was some additional things we did all all and new LEDs. Yeah. Um new uh dark blue rubbers. Oh yeah. To match the outer space look. All new white posts. Like the whole top side is basically new, right? Yeah. Drop targets like you mentioned, the plastics, pop bumper parts, and of course the playfield turned out amazing. And then on top of that, we changed out the displays with Wolf Black LEDs. That's a nice touch. I like that because basically when you look at the back glass, it's dark blue and black. So maybe a little bit of white will offset the color. It's like outer spacey. I like it. And then we went beyond that and we bought an extension kit from CPR. Oh yeah. Which includes the extra plastic, standard stern sticker that would have gone here. Um coin inserts. Um keychain. And then up here you got the shooter rod. Uh oh yeah, right. Oh, also you know what? I don't even think I pointed this out in the last video I did. Maybe I did. But even these little plastics here for the oneway gates. That's like a a red one and then a purple one on that side. And then we replaced the um the rollovers. Oh, did you? They were white originally. So Oh, got the original orange ones. I recall that now. New bumper cap. Oh, is it? Yep. And new um beehive shooter uh assembly. Custom apron cards. Yep. And he had the um apron um powder coated. Yeah. Powder coated. And a new decal. Yeah. New decal on the top. And all of the metals were polished like the lock bar side rails and shooter rod. That is like all the top side pl uh metals too are uh polished up as good as they can get. Yeah. You know that now that Kevin washed it, I got to keep a microfiber cloth. Oh yeah. Fingerprints off the chrome. Boom. One fingerprint. That's okay. Yeah, it shows fingerprints easy. But the powder the that is the the gray powder coated legs as well with the coin door. Yeah. Yeah. Anyway, this thing is uh and this is a very nostalgic game for you too, right? Like this was your Me and my father, we bought this game together 40 years ago. Wow. And well, you know, I wanted to buy it and show it to my father before he passed away, but fortunately it was too late and so I'm just decided to get it again in memory of my dad. Yeah, that's awesome. And uh this one's for your dad. The startup chimes. Oh, why the drop target fell down. It's got a couple extra chimes there for you. But yeah, this game Yeah. So, it's a nice nostalgic game. a tribute to your father and uh what a beauty it is. Oh yeah, another Grazley garage masterpiece. And then um you've got a special machine here, too. This is What is this? This is the 2025 Jaws Anniversary Premium Edition pinball machine. The 50th anniversary. So, do you know how many of these they made? Was it a limited run? Limited run. They only did it for the month of uh the year only. Okay. So, after this year goes by, there won't be any more made anniversary premium edition. So, you added in some speaker lights. Yeah. I bought this one from Nick Angel of Angel International, right? So, it was the basic standard um anniversary model pinball, but uh I actually had him add in the the Stern Expression speaker lights. Yep. That change color while you play the game. Oh, yeah. Like when you're hitting the chum bucket and this starts going red. Yeah. The speaker lights do the same, don't they? Yep. Yeah. That's pretty cool. And then uh art blades on the side. Oops. It's okay. Almost just started it with my stomach. Oh, yeah. So, the Art Blades. Yep. And what else did he You got them to do uh what? Shaker motor. Oh, yeah. Okay. And the Boom Boom 3000. Um Oh, speaker upgrade. Yep. The uh subwoofer in this thing and the barrel shooter rod. That's pretty cool. And then I bought some additional stuff from Target Tilt Graphics. I got the the uh Oh, Jaws cup holder. Yep. And I see some flipper toppers, too. Actually, four. Oh, yeah. Oh, it's like uh deck boards of a ship or something. Yeah. To match uh the the other art on the playfield. And then I bought this thing. Oh, cool. That wasn't part of it. It looked so like it belonged there. I just assumed it was uh part of the part of the original offering. There's a lot of them you see on Stern Games. Those those additional centerpieces. I've got a couple myself. And I see lit flipper buttons as well. That was an add-on. That was an add-on, too. So, this art package is unique to this uh edition. Yeah, this one is just strictly for this game only. Like, if you look at other sterns, like there is one um the pro model at Flip Fork River where it's just sharks and shark cages on the sides, right? And the translate is a special translate. And also, you got the 50th edition holographic decal there decal. And you got some cool like lantern toppers there. Yeah, those were from my dad's boat. So, huh. Pretty cool. Jaws was another game that my father loved. Well, he loved the movie, but I decided to get the game. So, this is like the the the tribute section for your dad right here. Yeah. Plunge off that last ball and stars there. So, you don't know this, but uh the chimes were wired up all weird. Oh, yeah. So, I literally me and Dutch had to uh rewire every single chime wire in the backbox so that it worked properly because you know when you get a special you're supposed to get the deepest chime. Yeah. But it was giving you the the the lightest chime. It was the opposite. So, we had to switch those two wires. We had to switch the wires for the 100 chime and thousandth chime. So, there was some hackery going on there, but now it's all good. And then you have a third section of pinball scenes. Another room. This my secondary spare bedroom. Okay. Who needs a spare bed? Turn into a pin room. Ooh, pretty cool. Also, this is like the classics room. Yeah, look at that. Got all kinds of pinball miscellaneous stuffs here, too. Posters and little lights. So, we got uh Gulf Stream. Yeah. What year is this? I think that was [clears throat] 19 65, I believe. It looks to be in good shape. Like all in all, I mean, she's suffering from a little bit of skin plaque. But yeah, that's the that's the must be the what's his name? Christian something or other. The pointy people artist. Here's the the name. Does it say here? Uh Christian Marche. Yeah. Yeah. He's the the pointy people guy. That's a really cool apron card. Actually, I like these. Are these from Johnny G on eBay? Every every ball [clears throat] I have has the Johnny G uh apron cards. Okay. And then you got, didn't you get Kevin to have the legs and lock bar powder coated? Yeah, he did. He um it's like a actually also powder coated the leg the lock the bolts to the bolts as well. That looks awesome. We got the orange leg bolts, the uh aqua legs, and then the orange cabinet protectors. So, that's a nice accent. I like that. Yeah, pretty fun uh art package here. playing some volleyball on the beach or something. Is what is the the theme here? What is going on? Hanging out on the beach on the hammock. Beach sports. Beach sports. Yeah, there's the the beach ball there. From what I was told, ultra is a very popular game with a lot of collectors. Looks like you um did a good job on this, too. New star posts. New lane guides throughout. Yeah. New rubbers, like a light blue rubbers to mimic water. Oh, yeah. And then LEDs throughout. Oh, yeah. Fully LED. Yep. And the plastics are all in good shape. The pop bumper caps are in good shape. Yeah, it looks good. Oh, is it uh I'm going to have to flip a ball here. Not sure. Okay, we'll we'll do a split flipper ball here. JC's on the left. some on the right. Did you have to have Cory over to do any tweaking on this one? Yeah, he had to get it. There was an issue why it wouldn't start. Okay. Well, that's what Cory's for. He the master of pinball repair and all models, but EM might be his forte. We'll do one more ball for fun. So, this is the idea to try and get like bingos on this uh board here. You light up the numbers and then you got to get those you got those orange arrows in front of them. Okay. Additional points. Oh, 100 point roll over there. Nice little live catch. Once you get the the number lighted up in front of that orange arrow, you get additional points. Okay. Additional Uh 5,000 points when lit. That's pretty cool. And uh so you got yourself a big Indian. This did you get from Kevin too, right? Yeah. Kevin told me he had this he bought this game. Yeah. And he wanted to didn't want to didn't want anything to do with it. So y like he's really into the other WPC games. So this one here I brought it home. I ordered I bought all brand new posts, all new orange rubbers. Yep. Looks good. New LEDs. The drop targets were perfectly fine. Oh, yeah. And it gave the entire gave the cabinet a good cleaning. So, basically this one here has this um Oh, the very target very target thing. So, you got to spell big. Yep. Adds bonus. Playfield is in real nice shape. Yeah, actually it's coated with myar. If you have a close look. Oh, I can see myar right there. Oh, no wonder. I was going to say I've never seen a machine of this era with such a pristine bonus count zone. That is usually the main worn part. And I'm like, how did somebody airbrush this thing? That must have been day one myar. You can kind of see it a little bit more here. But yeah, that preserved that so beautifully. Uh, is that it? Oh yeah. And then basically Oh, no. We still got another ball. But yeah, nice custom apron cards. Yep. And then Kevin powder coated the bumper and lace black and the leg bolts. Oh wow. Nice little touch there. Some attention to detail. Y throw up uh one more ball. try and nail a couple drop targets or something cuz I don't know that I've really played Big E. He's got a I think Big E at one time I believe was that um Maple. Oh yeah. Little brave. Is Little Brave like the two-player or one player version or something? I think it's the one player game with this. Okay. Well, she's looking great, playing great. Nice little addition to the collection cuz you've only had this one a few months, too, right? Yeah, I think I bought this right before Kevin started working on stars. Okay. And the back glass is in pretty darn good shape, too. Just a little bit of flaking on the lettering, but it is more fun to compete. Yeah. Awesome. And then we got another Grazley garage restored masterpiece here. Yeah. What do you got going on here? Oh, this is one I picked off of Victor. I don't know what's his last name. Okay. Um, but I loved Supersonic was another favorite game of mine. the early days as uh as a teenager growing up and playing in in the arcades. So basically it's like um wanted to give it a the greatest treatment. Yeah. You uh you spared no expense on this one, right? N is that a topper? That's a Is that a Alex Stagger topper? Yep. Does it light up, too? Yeah, it does. I'm just going to get it. Got all the uh the pinball logos lit up and also bunch of promo flyers here and a couple uh trophies too. Yep. What are the trophies? That one was uh Oh yeah. arcade tournament which I was the only person who [laughter] [clears throat] signed up for it. You were So you were first place and last place then technically cuz you were the only competitor. Yeah. And the other one is the uh was a pinball league. They held at Mana. Oh, nice. Which was a con which was a consider amount of eight weeks total. Right. And then the last remaining four people had the highest scores of all competed together to play um um one last game. One last game on Metallica Remastered. Oh, okay. And then you won that game. So you won the whole league. Yep. That's awesome. And then they're supersonic. There it is. Lit up. So, is this a new back glass, too? No, it's it's a really it's in really good condition. Yeah, it looks uh it's like a solid nine out of 10. So, when Kevin did this game, the we used um an overlay sticker. Oh, yeah. Yeah. But then it started peeling up and then I managed to find and order um a um a hard top. Hard top from outside edge. Okay. So this is hard top, right? Yeah. You had to that that decal was from like classic arcades or something and then it started peeling or bubbling or something. So you literally sanded the whole thing off or or just peeled it right off completely and Okay. I just basically started at the bottom and slowly worked up putting the hard top in. Y putting all everything back in at the same time as I went up. So on top of that, I decided, well, might as well add more things to make it newer. Yep. Um other than what Kevin did for the blue the powder coated blue stuff. So I put uh yellow Oh, yeah. I like the yellow flipper rubbers. New flippers and with the yellow rims. Oh, new bats. Yeah. Okay. All the posts are all yellow. Oh, yeah. Nice touch. I love that. And the drop targets are new. Pop bumper caps are new. Oh, yeah. And the skirts, too. And the bodies probably. Oh, the bodies, I think. Yeah, they're new. And the skirts are new. And then the rollover guides up top are new. Oh, yeah. And all these guys. Yeah. Which is a lot. Six of these guys. And then on top of that, the the orange colored um roll star rollovers. Yep. That replaced every one of those. Did you? That was hard to do with the with a hard tub because you had to take a Dremel tool and Oh jeez. Sand it out just so you can get it in. Yeah, that sounds like a pain in the butt. Let me see the coin door here cuz this front is the whole curb appeal here. And it is just gorgeous. This powder coating. Did uh did Kevin choose this powder coating or did you guys collaborate? I think we went with from the blue um from the original look of the playfield. Yeah. I just love the little like metallic uh I think this Yeah, there's a metallic flake in there. Yeah, you can see. And it's almost like Oh, okay. That's just the the texture here of the um the metal for this part of the coin door. I thought it was like extra flake or something there, but no, the the powder coating is uh perfect color and beautiful on this game. And I see you got the red anodized uh leg bolts. Yep. And then the rubber feet. Oh, yeah. and the red cabinet protectors to boot. And then after it was done, basically the apron was didn't really match this blue, right? So I asked Kevin, "Where can I get the actual color that he spray painted the cabinet with?" Yeah. He told me which one to go get at Canadian Tire. So I sanded it all down. Oh, okay. And completely spray painted it all blue. Oh, nice. And Kevin had an extra set of the the Valley apron stickers. Oh, these are new stickers, too. Brand new. Yep. Oh, cool. I put them on and then I got the the So, Johnny G apron cards. Yeah, he does a great job. Now, we put in blue Wolf Pack uh LEDs. Nice. I had Alex Stagger help me with these ones for soldering all the all the components. Yeah, cuz it's a bit of a chore to assemble these Wolfpack LED displays, but um yeah, shout out to Alex who helped assemble the displays and made your custom topper for you. Yep. This thing is uh beautiful. So, that's basically the the grand tour of the collection. You got any other rooms hidden that that have more pinball machines in them or is that the last room? The spot that you're standing in right now is going to be occupied by two more games coming soon. Ooh. So, right next to Super I think I know what they are is Evil Convvil, which is currently still under restoration work in Kevin's garage right now. Yeah, that that evil conval is getting the full treatment, too. That's getting the full cabinet, playfield, back glass, um, plastics, the the full works. It's going to be amazing. You know, that's why I trust Kevin to do the work. Omni games, like, you know, he's like the number one pinball restore of Ontario. You hear that, boys and girls? And then you, the other space, he's going to be a $6 million man. Another high-end restoration job. Full treatment. The cabinet, the playfield, the back glass, the plastics, the LEDs, the boards, the displays, the works as well. So, that's going to be quite the the grazely trifecta in this room when it's all said and done. It's possible it might sell Big Indian. And I'm wanting to get the Ballet 1977 Ballet Star Trek. Oh, yeah. Yeah, that would be pretty epic. Another cool one I like. John might be selling this to make room for a Bali Star Trek. So, a if you know of a Bali Star Trek, let us know cuz we are interested. And if you are interested in buying this real nice big Indian, he may just sell it. So, you can reach out and we can talk. Yeah, that's why if you want if you have a pinball machine, you want to get it restored, tell him no because you know he does good work and don't don't don't delay. Don't just do a cabinet and other stuff. Get everything done. Get the full works done. Back glass. Get get play. His queue's getting uh pretty deep. He's got probably like eight or 10 machines deep now. But uh well, you just got the stars yesterday and Brian took his $6 million man yesterday. So yeah, there may be a spot if you want to get yours done, too. Anyway, thanks for the tour, JC. Much appreciated.
