It is a Stern Pro Circuit event packed full of tournaments. There's warm-up tournaments, pre- tournaments. It's going to be a lot of pinball and uh we're hoping to represent for London, Ontario, Canada, and uh we'll see what happens. But we are sure as heck happy to be going to some nice warm Carl Weathers cuz uh this is what we're leaving behind. Rainy, snowy, soon to be icy, foggy nastiness. So, uh off to the desert we go. Well, the snow's coming down now. Are you sure you want to go to a nice tropical desert location and leave this behind, Shnie?

The uh hot tub is filled with gunk. We made it to the Electric Bad Arcade. Mr. Morris, what's up? Trying our first game of Star Wars: Fall of the Empire. This may be
the best game in the history of Kindle.

But, uh, we got a tournament. It's happening any [music] second now. Like 84 players signed up, 54 arenas in the tournament. [music] and uh just hit record cuz I don't know if there's going to be any fun announcements or anything, but I'm here with the camera in hand in case there is. This is a warm-up action for the Star Fighters Pinball Festival weekend extravaganza that begins tomorrow. So, we will see what happens today. It's like a max match play or I forgot what it's called. First person to 42 points or something wins. No playoffs, just once you get there, it's done. And it's $1 to get in. So, plus coin drop. So, cheap entertainment.

All right. I'm here at the Electric Bat Arcade in Mesa, Arizona. We're here for the warm-up tournament. We got like 85 players here tonight. And uh this weekend is the Starf Fighters Pinball Festival. So we came early and uh now we get to check out the Electric Bat Arcade. So I guess this has been going for like 7 years or so. And it literally started in this room. They had a handful of machines. They started running league. Popularity grew and so did the collection and the space. I'm just going to walk around here and check things out. I haven't really had a whole lot of time to really comb over things, so this is going to be my first real good look. I just dove right in. We're like round four in the tournament right now. And uh it is uh not looking too good for me. So I've got a little bit of time
before the next round starts.
So I'm taking this opportunity to do a walk through. What's up David Morris? We got a huge Canadian contingent here. People from Calgary, Edmonton, uh all over the place. Bunch of Ontarians. I think for Ontario, it's just me and Shauny Boy here today, but there will be some more showing up uh tomorrow. Got the leaderboard up here. We got a bar here. Got some cool pinball art. Check out pack from Mars. uh meets Hawaii with a leg cheersing the predator alien guy. Sorry. Electric tiki bar. That's very cute. So, this is the uh quote unquote middle room. So, this is where they expanded to when things were uh getting popular. So, I think this might be like the biggest turnout for a weekly pinball tournament in the freaking world. They get like 120 players every Tuesday. And um yeah, it's pretty crazy. Don't look at the scores on Dracula cuz I just played this and I was player number two and you do not want to see my score and you probably won't. Thank goodness I am not doing so hot. But Shauny Boy, these uh mannequins creeped me out when I was walking by them earlier, but Shauny Boy before this round started is in number one or at least tied for number one. The boy is good. But yeah, check out the collection here. [music] Got a little bit of everything. Old, new, classics. We just got to play um and see for the first time the newest machine, the um Star Wars Fall of the Empire, which is right here. So, now we're entering the latest expansion. Apparently, that happened a couple years ago. This is the East Room. And uh this is pretty cool. Evil Dead. That was the first game we played when we got here. So, I'm going to try not to bump into anybody. We still got uh one, two, three, six matches still going on. So, I still got some time to uh walk around and check things out. But yeah, so this expansion happened a couple years ago and uh they can't expand anymore. There's no more space to take over, but I think they're pretty comfortable with uh with what they've got. It fits 85 people super comfortably. So, you're not like elbow to elbow. You're not bumping into people. Oh, looks like uh Shiny Boy just finished his game on Aerosmith here. Shny boy.

for third. Okay. The format for this tournament is um I can't remember the format name, but whoever gets to 42 uh points first wins. Game over. No playoffs. It's done. And uh I think Sean had well I think he won his first three. So he's at 21 going into this round. So a third is probably uh puts him at 24 I think. We'll check out the standings if we can. I also got to play Andromeda which is pretty rare game plan game and uh it was really cool and also especially didn't hurt that I got my only first on it. I think I took like last uh second first and last. So I've been all over the place. I also played the uh uncanny X-Men Pro. Uh, I don't know the number of machines in total here, but I think this tournament there is at least 54 in the tournament. So, you know, probably maybe 60 machines cuz there's a couple that are turned [music] off that I noticed. Looney Tunes. We got Bat Skip Ball. That's pretty awesome. We got creature from the black lagoon. That's pretty cool. [music]
Ah, seaweed hanging off them. I love that. Got Congo. [music] It'd be fun to kind of go through every single machine and see what I've had and what I haven't had. Cuz I've had Congo, I've had Viking, have Iron Maiden. No pulp fiction. I do have a sorcerer. I do not have the newest machine in the lineup. Uh I do not have an eagle dead. I have had a firepower and a ground shaker. No Foo Fighters. I've had sin bad. I've had creature. Had a fall. No. Scared stiff. No. Blackjack. Jaws. No. Hot dogging. Yes. Aerosmith. No. Dolly. No. Walking Dead. Yes. Ghostbusters. Yes. I don't know. It's kind of fun. Maybe not so much for you. Let's go uh see the standings here. Oh, I'm in uh 62nd and we actually have 90 players. We started seeing because uh I need need to be playing a little bit better uh considering [music] the the action the big event is happening starting tomorrow. [music] And if I'm playing like I'm playing tonight, then uh it ain't going to go well. But either way, it's going to be a blast. It's going to be fun. So that is a lot of pumping and dumping. I've already played about 50 games in the classics and um I don't know, last time checked I'm somewhere around um 11th or so. So, I'm pretty happy with that. Top 40 for classics. We'll move on to the A finals. I'm overrated, man. Like I'm like 180 in the world, but that means I'm restricted to a division in every tournament the last year. And I don't know that I have earned that rating. I feel like I'm like a B, maybe a B+, maybe an A minus. So uh it's a tough battle, but yeah. So that's the action going on tonight. It is, let's see, 11. Oh, that's that's Ontario time. So, it's 9:00 here in Arizona. And uh the results should be in soon. Anyway, in the meanwhile, I'm going to go play some more classics. All right, just a quick little update. I ended up uh two points out of making the A finals. Two points. It was uh close. I think back to all those games that I was one shot away from starting a multiball like Metallica, like um Monsters. [snorts] But uh oh well, it is what it is. In other news, I am currently uh sitting in third place in the classics. So, I got to milk that for all it's worth cuz uh there's a lot of qualifying tomorrow and a lot of bleeding to be had. All right, I am up on Galaxy. All right, it is day three of the Starf Fighters Pinball Festival and uh I'll take you through, show you what's going on. Classics is in full swing. This is pretty cool though. Here they've got a whole uh floor plan here that tells you where every single game is. Classics Bank, for example. got the uh the streaming happening now. And that is uh I believe Atomic Age Pinball if you want to watch the action. Oh [ __ ] this is restricted area. I've been going to the washroom there a couple times now. Oops. I won't do that again.
So, we're down to um the final eight in the main right now. And here we go. Here's the groups. Dave Oliver, Tim Hansen, John Delapo, and Dustin Goldberg. And in group two, Steve Stum, Jeff Tiololis, Wes Bala, and Raymond Davidson. Actually, that group is over. We lost two Canadians in that group. Tiolis is out. Wes is out. Raymond Davidson, the defending champion, has moved on with 12 points. So, we're going to wait and see what happens with group one. And then we'll be down to the final four in the classics. There's Shiny Boy. We've got another um let's see, four uh 6 hours of qualifying left to go. I'm also in the restricted area here, too. I'm in all restricted areas. And uh I don't know. I'll try and find a monitor and we can see what the stats are, who's in the lead and whatnot. Poor Bob Matthews. He ain't feeling so hot. So, I don't know what's going on in uh all the other areas here. if it's just free play. Oh yeah, this is the women's um pump and dump bank here. Good bank. Tron Funhouse. Like those games. Buck Rogers, Dungeons and Dragons, Indie 500, Stars, X-Men, Adam's Family, and Surfers. Never seen that one before, but that's a good bank. And then here's the stats for classics. Neil in first, Tom Isaac, Conrad, Derek Thompson, Lesie Ruckman, Carlos, David Realel, and there you have it, Mike Dus. Tied with this guy. We're going mono a mono. And uh try and lock in that body position. Is it top 16 get a buy and top four or double?
Okay, cool. Well, we're fighting a good fight. the other group here, the other a group. So, there's not much else going on in the back room here. It's quieted down quite a bit. I won't disturb them. One restricted area I will stay away from. Uh yeah. So we had in our little Canadian villa, we had about of the 40 qualifiers in a division for the match play, there's like eight or nine in that house Canadians. So, you know, we took over like at least 20% of all the 40 available spots. Not myself, sadly, but that meant I got to sleep in and uh catch up on my sleep. So, that was nice. So, uh, I'll report back once we get down to the final four, check out a bit of that action, and, uh, you know, if I can maintain top 16 and get a buy, that would be amazing. If I can even just maintain top 40, I'd be happy. But me and Sean have been going back and forth on Black Knight [music] for the last hour. I spent my last 10 entries on it. Probably finally put up a score of a million, which was maybe a top 10 score, I think. So, I'm done with Black Knight. Anyway, moving on to another machine, but that's the update. I'm so stoked about that, but I'm just trying to be quiet because there's a tie break between Tiolis and Shane to advance to the next round on Black Knight. See what happens. My feet are sore. I'm just chilling. But, uh, here's the, uh, the update. Going on to the final eight. I can't believe it. I don't know what got into me, but uh it's happening very shortly. So, it'll be 50/50 chance whether it'll be on stream or not. Not sure if I want that or not. Document my epicness or my major fails. We shall see. Okay, my results are in. I just finished on Hocus Pocus and uh I'm going to end up with uh one point in the group which probably puts me in eighth overhaul for the tournament which I am completely content with.
