They are good. I think the animations for Attack from Mars especially are awesome. I'd love to have those animations in an original Attack from Mars. It would be nice. This is good for Pedretti. I want to talk about ACDC and Kiss and what we think could be done to improve them if they're going to be the next remaster. Animations for Kiss will be live show. I wanted to start a little trivia with Kiss. Kiss just had one release Instead of the normal Pro, Premium, and LE. It might have had some multiple runs, but they only had those versions. No, they did not. You're wrong on this, sir. Am I wrong? Yes, and we've even talked about this. Oh, we have? Yes. Correct me. Remember on the KISS website, they had all four members trying the machine, and they had their own special. Yeah, they had their own. I'm talking about from Stern. Oh, no, I'm talking about, hey, you're talking about all the goodness in KISS, There was probably like one loss or like ten loss. No, it was ten. Okay. You wanted the best. You spent the best. You spent the best. Wheel them out, boys. Wait a minute. Was Ace Frehley one of the – no, he had the other two guys. No, it was Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer. Yeah, there you go. Okay. See, how many people know that? So for ACDC, how many different versions do you think they had? Oh, man. nine nine what they had nine different versions i'm counting each different for so first pro we have angus face and regular play well we have 2012 pro which is incandescence no swinging bell then we have two different le's yes we have the back and black limited edition which only $300 back when Stern actually knew what LE meant. Yes, limited. And they had the Let There Be Rock edition, which only was $200. $200? $200. And then they had the premium. The premium and LE suffered from the hazy, cloudy window due to what? Was that the clear coat they did or something? Yes. I remember that. Well, Ron's still remembering that. Yeah, I still remember that because I have that. I got the second one. It was non-cloudy. Wasn't it that you couldn't replace the window at all? Yeah, you can. It's an insert. Yeah. But on the newer ones, you can. Yeah, that's true. They changed that. So then, in 2013, we got the Lucy Premium. People complained about the art, so we gave you the TNA artwork, which is basically just the Translight. And I think they added, it says ACDC on the lower play field on those. Yes. Like the logo. I think that's the only difference. And plastics. And plastics. Oh, there's plastics. There was different plastics. Okay. Then in 2014, we had the Pro LED version, which basically is the Pro, but with LEDs instead of incandescents. Yes. And a swinging bell. Yep. And the new, even though Spike was still in the future, the Spike backbox, i.e. the metal backbox with the tilted speaker panel. Okay. So that was that. Then. I'll try to get these in perfect order here. Then in, yeah, okay, 2017, we got the premium vault edition. Back when the vault meant something different than it means now. Yeah. And that edition doesn't have the drummer on it. Yes. Because he was removed because he tried to hire someone to have someone killed. Killed, yes. What? So he was pulled from the artwork. The funny thing is eventually he got off somehow. Yeah. And he actually played. He was on ACDC's last album and their last music video they did. He's on it. But he has not toured with them since. I think they've had it with him. Because they've had multiple. You're good enough to play on our album, but you're not good enough to tour with us Because we don't know if you're going to go out and buy a gun. Well, no, or hire someone. So he didn't want to do it himself. That was the Premium Vault Edition. Then we have the Lucy Vault Edition, which is a premium. Yes, we do. In 2018. And then we had the Angus. No, in 2017, they also had the Pro Vault Edition. Yes. And then they had the next year the Lucy vault edition. Jesus Christ. But then they did the side art for that one, right, with the Lucy. Is there a side? I think the side art is on all of them. I forgot about that. You're right. The cabinet was different. And then the Angus face. Oh, they changed the Angus face. Yeah, that's right. My company, they're doing some kind of tie-in to the Buffalo Bills because we have buffalo branches at the credit union I work for. So they had our logo, but it's shaped like the Buffalo Bills logo. But I didn't realize the buffalo on the Buffalo Bills logo has a penis. Like, the thing is literally kind of coming out, and we've gotten complaints about the logo. It's coming out, Dunstan. I want the world to know. Buffalo's got a penis on their logo. I mean, I'm looking at it, and it's like, yeah. It's like, yeah, I kind of noticed that. What were issues with the original ACDC? The ball getting stuck behind the bell once in a while. Well, the lightning bolts. Do you remember? The original Pro lightning bolts were clear plastic and they had lights behind them, but they kept getting hit with air balls and breaking. So they put a metal backing, which made it so the light doesn't shine through at all. Didn't the Premium LE have the dancing Angus? They all have the dancing Angus. Did they? Well, does the Pro have the dancing Angus? The Premium LE has the dancing Angus. They all have the dancing Angus. Yeah, so that's got to go, right? They're not going to keep that thing. Why not? Dancing Angus is cool. Besides, mine's broken. It's way got broken off. What about the cannon? Are they going to make the cannon fancier? Yeah, there's something they can do. Right? Because it was such a... That was the mod that everybody did, making the cannon actually look like a cannon. There's something you could do. Let's see. Yeah! Yes, the Let There Be Rock limited edition is at Rock Fantasy, I believe. Yeah! Yes, okay. And then they got, like, now they've got those LEDs that do the fire, right? Steve Ritchie did that on... Well, it's on that game. There's fire animations in the back. But isn't it just blinking lights? Now they've got the LEDs that look like flames. They're LEDs. That was one of their first full LED games was ACDC. I don't think it was their first, but, I mean, it had... Like on Black Knight, they got the... It looks like fire. I know because ACDC, the premium, it's totally weird in the backbox. Like the GI connector isn't even populated. The GI board, it's actually underneath the play field. Yep. And it's like three different strings. It's like, what is it, red, blue, and white. I don't know if they have any other games that have this set up. Cool. I just know that because I have one. And it was just weird. I'm like, wait a minute. The GI connector's not even there. What the hell? That's when they were starting to use the LEDs, and they're still on the old SAM system, so they had to, like, use extra boards and all this shit, you know, before they went to Spike. Would you change anything code-wise? That's another Lyman game. Well, OIMania is not in there. Supposedly that was the thing that was going to be in there. Oi, oi, oi, oi, oi. have at least one do something where both playfields are active. Yeah, I like that. Because I don't believe there's any mode or anything in that game where the upper and lower playfields are active at the same time. And to me, any game that has two playfields like that, there needs to be some mode, something where they're both active. Has to be. And they didn't do that with that one. Unless someone's going to tell me, an encore does it. Like, well, I've never been a fucking encore. Yeah, go scratch. It's so fucking hard. I'm never going to see Encore. Even if Ron takes off the glass, he's never going to see it. Well, yeah, if I take off the glass. Oh, more songs? Yeah, that'd be cool. And how would that affect the rule base? Because everything is based around the songs. So to get to Encore, you have to get through all the songs. So how would that work? Would they add more of the Elwynn-esque, like collecting ramps and collecting spinners and collecting. Aren't there? Isn't there like Canon Chaos or Canon Fodder? All these inserts that actually don't do anything, I thought. That were never coded. I thought there was. So there you go. Make them so they're actually coded. What? Complete coding? Stop it! Complete coding. Alright, let's move on to KISS. I don't know what you could do to improve KISS. Oh, no, no. You can improve KISS. We take out the two other insignificant guys and just make it me and Paul. Very acceptable, very happy. I think there needs to be another Gene Simmons head on the other side of the playroom. Yes. I want to spit twice instead of once. Yeah. I don't know. Most people like the art, even though I think a lot of it's, like, I believe the Translight is taken, and they had to take elements of their existing art palette or some shit. It's just like copying and pasting it on there. Maybe the right ramp not quite as hard. Oh, yeah, that right ramp. That's pretty hard. Make Gene more reliable. Yes. So he doesn't keep going down the middle. I always try to be more reliable in my old age. Because he does. Their solution for it going down the middle is just make it a ball saver. Yeah, which is fair. Which is kind of the default. Which wasn't in there originally. I know, because I was at the launch party, and boy, we had fun with that. Oh, I can imagine. It didn't last. It broke down before the end of the launch party, so we finished it on the old KISS. You own it the best, you got the best. Yes, which I thought was awesome. It's like, hey, we're still finishing on KISS. Did the backbox magnet thing keep working forever? Oh, yeah, that one's actually the love gun. Yeah, I've never heard of that, like, having issues. That's insane! Love good! My Paul Stanley. Rules-wise, I mean, people seem to like the last iterations of that. Yeah, like, long-standing. Yeah, I think it's pretty good. Like, so many years after, right? Yeah. But the cities still don't do anything or something? Or they never said they were going to do anything. No, he added the cities, but I don't know if the scoring is anything. Yeah, everyone assumed the cities were going to do something. I would say most of that might be with code. I mean, I think people liked the play field art. Oh, yeah. I don't think people thought that was good. I don't even like KISS, and I can think it's awesome. Wait a minute. Why don't you like it? I mean, plus you have Borg still there, so he can tweak yet another one of his games. I wonder if he's wondering, like, man, am I ever going to get any time off? I mean, Jesus Christ. What about the Borg, what about the bouncing that you get off that friggin' metal post on, what is it, the left side? the metal post on the in lane, out lane, where you get borgged all the time. Oh, so do what he did with Metallica and just eliminate the borgged? Yeah. So to basically make it easier? Exactly. Was KISS considered a tougher game? I think it was. The code hurt it a lot, yes. Yeah, but I think it doesn't play necessarily that easy. No. It's not one of those play forever games. If you get a run on it, you can blow it up. But it's, you know, I honestly, it's a long playing game in tournaments, I feel. Oh, okay. It's because everybody that you play with are actually really good players. Yeah, yeah. You got to take a typical tournament. I'm thinking it doesn't play overly long. All right. So those are the two rumored games for the next remaster. And what we think could be improved. Who went out of business? American Pinball? No, they're still in business. They're rehiring. Honestly, I was let down when I went to Expo, and their whole thing they had there was that skee-ball thing. I'm like, seriously? this is it. This is what you did. What do you have against skee-ball? Old Data East. I come up one day, we have an automated system in our place which turns on games by section, by computer. And all the games turn on and I look over and I'm like, hmm. Tales didn't turn on. So let me just turn it back off and turn it back on. Nope. Okay, it gets the back glass off. Put the power to the 5 volts. I have 2.1 volts for 5 volts. So you would think, ah, bridge rectifier or anything else. No. Bad batteries. Oh, the CPU. The blocking diodes tested good. We cut them out and we tested them. But it was acting like bad blocking diodes. And I don't know why, but we put new batteries in, we'd write up. Huh. There you go. That's a different new one. I was stumped by that, like, huh? I got 2.1 volts. This is fucking impossible. Nope. Guy's like, I took out the batteries, and it worked. And it's worked since, so very weird. If anyone has an answer for that one, I'll be loving to hear what you guys think about that. Anything for you, Ron? No. Nope. Ron. Except the roller ball, which is that big four-inch roller ball. It's called a track ball, yes. The track ball. It doesn't have James Caan in it. It's not a roller ball. So it wasn't going to the left, it was to the right. So I had to freak around with it. I tried oiling it. Turns out, just dirty Optos. Yeah, I don't think you want to put oil on that thing. No, no, no. You've got to put three-in-one on it. No. No. Not on the ball, on the frigging... No, on the bearings. No. But it says in the manual that's what you do. It says in the manual, on the bearings, three-in-one oil. You clean it, drop a three-in-one oil. You fix the optos. Which is probably why the optos are dirty, because there's oil on them. Yeah. So anyway, that's what I did. The other thing was, when this roller ball was not moving to the left, I got angry, and I smacked the control panel. And then all of a sudden, I popped a fuse. And I was like, no! What's going on? So I did some troubleshooting. I've never done this. I'm not a troubleshooting guy. Bruce, I listened to this. You're doing a diode. I'm getting so many volts. I'm doing this. I'm doing that. I have no idea what you're doing. Honestly, God, that is like science to me, and it's amazing to hear you say it. So I'm like, okay, so I got the manual, and I'm going through the list of things. Anyway, I figure out which fuse pops, okay? And then I have to figure out, okay, what does that fuse control, right? So then I'm looking at things on this diagram of which I don't understand. And then I look in the back, and I realize, oh, there's this, what they call a degaussing coil. Are you aware of what this is? I don't think the degaussing coil is. It demagnetizes the monitor. It demagnetizes the tube, yes. So apparently, I look, and this thing has fallen off of the monitor. Oh, that's not good. I know, and it has landed on something. It created an arc and popped the fuse. So the monitor's not turning on, clearly. because the camera's gone. So then I'm like, okay, so now I have to figure out how to ground a monitor so I don't electrocute myself and, like, pee my pants and stop my heart. Yeah, you don't want to do that. So what you need to do is actually get a big screwdriver. Yeah, and then you tie a wire around it and tie it to the chassis. And put it under the little nipple thing. And you also want to not touch – you don't want to touch it without a resistor to knock the voltage down. So you want to get, like, a two-watt resistor. Yeah, that I didn't do. Yeah. Yeah. So then I grounded it, and I'm like, okay, so then I'm, like, trying to put this coil back on, which I find weird because the coil itself doesn't look like it fits perfectly around the monitor. No, it has a room. It just goes on the inside of the glass. There's two clips. Yeah. So I kind of just jammed it up there. Yeah, you've got to squeeze it and then push one in on one side, then you push down on the other side and you release it, and both grabbers will go inside the glass. So this is what I did for repairs. Wow. And this is, like, this is a big deal for me. Hold on, hold on. Remarkable. So, like, replacing LEDs for me is a big deal, right? Or, like, cleaning under really difficult. You want to hear how many volts that was that you were playing with? Yeah. 40,000. Wow. 40,000 volts. Yes. What? How's that possible? Because it's very low amperage. Buh. Yes. If you're plugging into, like, a 120-volt outlet, how do you get it? There's actually, because what happens is there's a coil. It's called the, what's it called? Hold on. But the coil does go up and brings it up to a high, high voltage. So it magnetizes and electrifies the whole tube. for the guns to work and actually shoot onto the screen. It is that high of a voltage. Okay. Vector monitor for those at home. No, it's a regular monitor. It's a regular monitor. It's a well-garnered. Oh, no, this will come in. I'm thinking of something else. Never mind. So, anyway, that is outrageous. So, not only did I fix that roller ball, which was a super simple fix. Trackball, yes. Trackball. It's called a flyback transformer. and they can go up to 50,000 volts on the TV. Oh. So, yes. Super cool. I didn't die. And you didn't die. I probably should have told my wife that I was downstairs doing that, though, just in case. Yeah. Missile Command, bro.
