TL;DR

Kaneda drops unconfirmed but high-confidence machine pipeline leaks: G.I. Joe/He-Man (Barrels), AC/DC (Stern), Justice League (JJP).

Summary

Kaneda makes bold predictions about upcoming pinball machines from Barrels of Fun, Jersey Jack Pinball, and Stern, claiming high confidence in the pipeline despite acknowledging they are technically unconfirmed rumors. Key claims include G.I. Joe and Masters of the Universe (He-Man) from Barrels of Fun, an all-original AC/DC game from John Borg at Stern, Justice League from Eric Minier at Jersey Jack, and a new platform from Mark Seiden at JJP. Kaneda emphasizes entertainment value and positions his early scoops against other pinball media.

Key Claims

  • G.I. Joe is coming from Barrels of Fun within the next year or two

medium confidence · Kaneda, based on Brian Savage's long-standing IP fandom and industry connections

  • Masters of the Universe (He-Man) is coming from Barrels of Fun and was taken from American Pinball

medium confidence · Kaneda, citing industry confirmation and noting Christopher Franchi will handle art (previously worked on the theme at American Pinball)

  • John Borg is designing an all-original AC/DC game for Stern on Spike 3, not a remaster of Steve Ritchie's classic

medium confidence · Kaneda, positioning this against widely-known music pin revival rumors

  • Eric Minier's next game for Jersey Jack Pinball will be Justice League (or possibly Superman)

medium confidence · Kaneda, citing JJP's strong Warner Brothers relationship and positioning as counter to Stern's Marvel dominance

  • Mark Seiden's game at Jersey Jack will use a new internal platform with internet connectivity, improved camera integration, and cleaner operating system (no onboard computer like before)

medium confidence · Kaneda, with speculation about Mark Seiden scrapping underplayfield mechanics and Steve Ritchie's influence

  • Barrels of Fun sold 525 games in 48 hours after Winchester Mystery House launched at Pinball Expo

high confidence · Kaneda, stated as recent sales fact

  • Halo for Chicago Gaming Company is confirmed happening but will be commercially unsuccessful due to expired theme relevance

medium confidence · Kaneda's opinion on long-rumored Mark Ritchie Chicago Gaming / Play Mechanics project

  • Chicago Gaming Company has a history of long delays (e.g., Pulp Fiction) that devalue machines by $2,000

medium confidence · Kaneda, using this as context for dismissing future Halo sales

  • Kaneda claims he operates under no NDAs and has 'almost 100% certainty' on all pipeline information shared

It's a beautiful day, sky falls you feel like it's a beautiful day, to let it get away. Welcome everybody to Canada's Pinball Podcast. Happy Monday. You're about to get one of those banger shows that will absolutely justify the $5 to $10 to $15 to $30 a month you spend on Canada's Pinball Podcast. I'm under no NDAs. I'm under no sort of like obligations to keep this information private. And here's what's crazy. What I'm about to drop on this episode of Canada's Pinball Podcast is arriving on top of all of those themes. We already know about how can Canada know so much? I've got more scoops than Baskin Robbins, baby. And this is going to be exciting because I'm going to give you some information nobody else has given you. And this stuff, I'm just going to say this right now. I don't think anything I'm about to drop is a rumor. I think it's confirmed. I think this stuff is happening. Well, it is a rumor. Nobody's confirmed this stuff. But what I mean is I think there is almost like a hundred percent certainty that everything you are going to hear on this show is going to happen. So do me a favor a year from now, keep score two years from now, keep score, because I think everything you're about to hear is going to happen. So save your money, free up space in your game room because a lot of really fun stuff is about to happen in this hobby. And no, I'm just going to start out right now by saying I don't care. And it is most likely going to happen that Mark Ritchie is making Halo for Chicago Gaming Company and Play Mechanics. We've known this rumor forever. It is absolutely happening. By the time it does happen, nobody is going to care. Trust me when I say this, Halo is not a good theme for pinball. Halo is a great theme for Xbox and even then, nobody cares anymore about the Halo license. When's the last time you went on to Xbox and even played Halo with your friends? The world has moved on. And if they think they're going to sell a $10,000 to $12,000 Halo Pinball machine, they are dead wrong. They've waited too long, man. They just don't get it. A lot better themes are coming from these other companies. I also think nobody really wants to go on another CGC ride where they reveal the game and then you wait two years to get your Pulp Fiction. And by the time it arrives, the game has lost $2,000 in value and you could have cut the line and saved yourself $2,000. So you're like, Kaneda, nobody cares about Halo. Get on with the show. I think we can do this show in less than 20 minutes and it'll be more entertaining and more exciting than all of those roundtable discussions that Jamie is doing over there with Kale and Retro Ralph. Oh no, shots fired, boys. We don't need an hour and a half, Jamie. I heard your little sort of thing about all Canadians going after the tournament players that are holding up trans lights and money. Yeah, don't do it. Don't do it. Don't wear cargo shorts and hold up money and then try to tell me how much fun you're making because I'm going to tell you right now, boys, the fun to be had when you're a grown man is when you're pushing 800 horsepower. You know what I mean, people? Here we go. Here we go. Shots fired. I know. Oh, man, you can't talk about that. You can't talk like that. I just did. All right, Kaneda, what's in the coffee this Monday morning? Let's start out right now with the first company that we're going to tell you what they have coming. Now, this company has had a pretty good year. They had one game that didn't sell very well instantly, and that was Dune. And then they had Winchester Mystery House which came out at Pinball Expo and they sold 525 games in like 48 hours OK so everyone been wondering what next from Barrels of Fun right What next from this company What is it going to be And I'm here to tell you right now that this company has some themes and they've been saying this, that everybody knows the theme. And that's like a weird thing, right? There's very few properties that you haven't heard of, right? It's like you might not even have seen every movie or listened to every musical act, but is there anything in pop culture that you could say you've never heard of? So that's like a weird thing to say. Our next theme, everybody's heard of it. Well, everyone's heard of the never-ending story. Doesn't mean we want it. So I'm here to tell you, I don't think it is the never-ending story. So what is it? What is coming from Barrels of Fun? Well, the first one is not going to be much of a mystery because Brian Savage over there has been basically the dude who like runs this damn properties fan club for like two decades. So Canada's Pinball Podcast is on the record for saying that he believes that one of the future titles coming from Barrels of Fun over the next year or two is going to be the following.

Jaws! G.I. Joe is the codename for America's daring, highly trained special mission force. Its purpose, to defend human freedom against Cobra, a ruthless terrorist organization determined to rule the world. He never gives up, he'll stay till the fight's won. G.I. Joe will dare. G.I. Joe.
    6:57
G.I. Joe. Oh, pros are for hoes. Oh, yeah, baby. And maybe that wasn't the biggest mystery reveal for all of you out there. But yes, Kaneda is here to tell you that G.I. Joe is coming from barrels of fun sometime in the next year or two. Will I be right? Will I be wrong? But that's not the big surprise. The big surprise for me is this. There is another theme coming from this company that I think could be the big theme that is the one that everybody knows about this year. And the reason why I'm saying it is because this property and this franchise is going to have a new movie in the theaters this year. I also have heard confirmation from people in the industry that this title was stolen. No, no, nothing is really stolen, but they nabbed this title from no other than American Pinball. So I think we're about to see this game, and I think Christopher Franchi is going to be on the art package, and it is going to come out from barrels of fun within the next year or so. I think this could be their other banger this year. Let's just hit it. And the masters of the universe.
    8:25
I am Adam, Prince of Eternia and defender of the secrets of Castle Greyskull. This is Cringer, my fearless friend.
    8:34
Fabulous secret powers were revealed to me the day I held aloft my magic sword and said, By the power of Greyskull. I have the power!
    8:57
Cringer became the mighty Battle Cat and I became He-Man, the most powerful man in the universe. Only three others share this secret. Our friends the Sorceress, Planet Arms, and Orko. Together we defend Castle Greyskull from the evil forces of Skeletor.
    9:24
Oh man more than three people know the secret The fourth man that knows the secret is Kaneda baby Did we just blow the roof off of Barrels of Fun future titles We shall see Oh man we gonna get G Joe and He I think Christopher Franchi gonna be on the He art package that he worked on when he was over at like uh I don know doing it for like American Pinball and yeah Yeah, American Pinball lost this theme to barrels of fun. Canada, man, it's Monday morning and you're coming with this macho man. Heat, what are we going to do at the round table? They're going to get mad and make more, but nobody cares, bro. About 90 minutes of pinball content. Let's keep going, baby. Let's keep going. You want another crazy Canada rumor? How about this first size? So we all know that Stern Pinball is going to bring back some of the musical properties. We all know this. None of this is a mystery. I'm hearing that all of those rumors are wrong. They're not remaking those music pins. I'm hearing that John Borg is working on an all new music pin. And I'm here to tell you this is something you haven't heard anywhere else and that the music pin that John Borg is working on in all original version of this band's music in pinball format is no other than Canada, baby. Hit it. Don't make us listen to 90 minute shows. Here we go, baby.
    11:03
Listen to the funny talk. Come on, come on. Learning for the funny. Come on, come on. Listen to the funny talk. Wait, what are you saying, Kaneda? Are you saying that John Borg is making an all-original ACDC game and Stern's not going to remaster a game by Steve Ritchie who departed the company? See, that's exactly what I'm saying, everybody. Get ready for an all original John Borg ACDC game on Spike 3. Oh, man, is this going to be accurate or is it going to be false? The good news is it doesn't matter. If I'm right, you're going to be like Kaneda did it again. And if I'm wrong, you're going to be like he's the most entertaining pinball content creator of all time. I'm like right now, Jamie is like, how does this dude do it at eight o'clock in the morning? It's because you got to get some action, boy. You got to get some action. It's not going to stop there. We're going to get this show to you in under 20 minutes and it's going to make you question everything you've ever known about the pinball content space, baby. I'm going to break a blood vessel as I keep going on this show. So let's keep going. It is not over. So I'm here to tell you right now that I think the next Eric Minier game from Jersey Jack Pinball is going to be the following. Now, keep in mind, this is not next. This is after Mark Seiden's game, which is after Steve Ritchie's Sonic the Hedgehog. Are you following? So will this be the game from Eric Minier? Let's hit it, baby. I need warriors. I'm building an alliance to defend ourselves.
    12:58
How do you know your team's strong enough? If you can't bring down the charging bull, then don't wave the red cape at it.
    13:11
You're sitting here for a reason. And even if it takes you the rest of your life, Find out what that person is.
    13:35
He said the age of heroes will never come again. It will. It has to. We live in a society where honor is a distant memory.
    14:00
Isn't that right? Batman. I mean I not even sure what I just heard right there So for those of you that were hoping you were going to hear the Ghostbusters theme song I know man I want Ghostbusters 2 from Jersey Jack But I'm hearing Eric Minier's game is going to be Justice League, baby. It might be Superman, but I'm going with Justice League. This company has a great relationship with Warner Brothers. It makes total sense. Punch back against Stern's Marvel Army with a little DC Comics stuff. I love it. I think it's going to be amazing. And I've got one final thing for each and every one of you. We got to get the energy back, baby. After that Justice League trailer, the energy left the room a little bit. But Kanade is here to tell you right now that this is coming, baby. This is coming after Sonic the Hedgehog. This is going to be the next game from Mark's side and apparently he had a whitewood and he scrapped it and he went back and he removed the under playfield stuff. I don't know what I'm saying right now. Those under playfields in Avatar, baby. I'm really happy that Steve Ritchie is over there because I know that Steve Ritchie most likely helped this guy figure out how to take the energy of this game and make it work. And I'm here to tell you right now, two things are going to happen. First and foremost, Mark Seiden's game will be an all new platform for Jersey Jack Pinball. Now, what does that mean, Jersey Jack's next platform? I mean, it's most likely going to be the internals of the game. I don't think externally we're going to see much different. Maybe new speaker systems, maybe new operating systems. I don't think they're going to have the computer anymore in the game like it used to be. I think it's going to be a much cleaner new operating platform. I think we're going to get internet connectivity. I think they're going to use the camera more. They're going to do a lot. And I think this game is going to try to dethrone the one game that has the greatest light show in Jersey Jack history. And so here you go, people. In less than 20 minutes, we did it. You got a banger Canada Pinball podcast episode on a Monday morning and you still have time to go get some action. You know what I mean, baby? Ain't no round tables here. Just one guy giving all those other people now stuff to talk about all week. They give me nothing to talk about. I give them everything to talk about. And we're all friends, by the way. Hopefully you guys know that we're all just jabbing at each other. Nobody is seriously upset with anybody other than the weasel named Colin, but nobody likes that guy. Okay, here we go. Here we go. Mark Seiden's next game at Jersey Jack on a new platform. And I'm just going to end this show with this, baby. Thank you for your support. Thank you for all your subscriptions. And I know you want to raise the roof and increase your subscription amount because it's only a single income household now. How are we going to afford this lifestyle, baby? Gucci Demons traveling to Japan, business class, Kaneda, you're the best pinball content creator ever and the most humble. Hit it!
    17:47
I will get higher, higher, straight up the climb. Higher, higher, leave a hole behind. I will get higher, higher, who knows what we'll find. But you don't have, you don't need it now. But you don't know, you can feel it somehow. But you don't have, you don't need it now Don't need it now Was a beautiful day
    18:45
    You
