TL;DR

Kaneda analyzes TPF show games, pricing, and upcoming titles while discussing industry politics.

Summary

Kaneda discusses show games, pricing strategies, and upcoming releases at TPF pinball show. Key topics include Beetlejuice's sold-out status and secondary market pricing ($18k+), Pokemon's strong demand and value retention, skepticism about Yukon Yeti's art direction and sales, and predictions that Sonic will raise the industry bar. Personal tangents dominate the first half about wealth culture and a bar confrontation over Pokemon IP knowledge.

  • Jean Paul the Win is still working on Sonic at JJP

medium confidence · Kaneda mentions this based on conversations with people at the company; not independently verified

  • Yukon Yeti sold only 10 units in Australia on first day, which Kaneda disputes as successful

medium confidence · Kaneda cites a statistic (10 units to 25M population) but phrasing suggests uncertainty about what counts as success

  • Stern is charging $13,000+ for games without toppers and this is overpriced relative to value

high confidence · Kaneda's direct opinion on Stern's pricing strategy compared to competitors

  • Robert Mueller (Raza/Dutch Pinball) sent threatening email to shut down Kaneda's podcast during Raza pre-order launch

medium confidence · Kaneda recounts this as a personal experience from years ago; Mueller allegedly threatened to file with company leadership

  • Yukon Yeti artwork is poor quality across three consecutive games and shows artist is not responsive to feedback

high confidence · Kaneda's criticism of Chris Turner/Deep Root Pinball's art direction; describes it as 'Bible cartoon art' and comparable to pharmacy kids' books

Smile for the cameras. Let's get this going here. Ah man, I got I got I got some wavy hair today. Ah, we got Let's see. Good lot lots to talk about. We've got we've got um you know, we've got a um you know, so like so here's the deal with this shirt. I'm gonna show you guys on YouTube. I don't care what street you live on. I I just came here for the lobster roll. Okay, there there's nothing there's nothing more ridiculous than since I moved into this town, the question you get is what street do you live on? Cuz they just want to know how much money you have. Like they it's literally the most insecure sizing you up question because they want to know do you live in a one and a half million dollar house, a $2 million house, a $6 million house. That's all the that's all the reason they're asking that. We all live in the same damn town. We're all at the same restaurant. I just came here for a lobster roll. I didn't come here to discuss my personal finances with any of you. I didn't come here to discuss my divorced marriage with any of you, which I'm not divorced. But my my point is this is that what's up sad boy? There's a 30 foot beetle just inflatable at TPF. Amazing. Um I will say this and I I'll talk a little bit about this. I got I got in this argument last night with this guy at the bar because I I'm sometimes I just have a short fuse when it comes to like douchebags rolling up and like literally they don't know anything. All they want to talk about is their investments and their money and they're so annoying and it's like just just leave. I I'll give you the story in a little bit, but it's just like, wow. So, we got TPF going on. We've got people that are playing all these games. I'm reading people uh responses. We We'll talk about I I got an hour show today because Brenda has to leave. She has to leave at 11:00 to go visit a friend's baby shower. So you got Canada for an hour and then we got to we got to stop. Just enjoy your life. I know dude I know it, man. Well, I haven't worn this shirt out yet cuz I got because I got another one coming that's even better. But uh it's also been so freaking cold. I'll tell you this. I'll tell you this. I'm not Look, I love the town I live in and I understand these financial people. Like I went to school with all these people. I literally get it. I get it. I get the insecurities that rich people have. Like the most insecure people are the wealthiest. They live their lives driven by envy and keeping score. It is unreal how they can't like get out of that like mindset. And that is why they get divorced, the second they get any any conflict in their marriage, they're out. Any like moment where they, you know, they feel small and insignificant, they like they need to like, "Here's my Rolex, here's my Porsche, here's my 6,000 square foot home, here's where we vacation." It's like, dude, I just came here for the lobster rolls, you know? It's like, I didn't come here to talk to you about that. And I also do think socially talk to people about other things. You know, I I've I've never I've never like understood why these people can't understand that. Like I've got friends that are worth billions of dollars. I have friends that are broke and everything in between. And it's just it's it's incredible. All right, so let's talk about pinball. Then we'll get we'll get I'll tell you what I got in a fight with at the bar last night. Um, I literally just couldn't take it. I was like, "You know what? I'm having such a good week. I can't be hanging around with such losers." Um, okay. So, let's go down the horn. Let's Let's Spooky Luke, what's up, baby? We got all those show games. Are those show games? Are they all I'm I mean, everything's sold already. Like, it's like you can't jump on a Beetlejuice at a show be like, I like it. I want to buy one. Cool. $18,000. We'll get you one. I was looking at I was looking at the used market and man like they're selling at 18 like that. We're going to talk about Pokemon less selling 8 9,000 now back to over sticker are selling like that. Um I did not throw a drink. Nope. No. What I did was I threw a 100 bucks at my bartender friend and be like, "Dude, this this should cover everything." And I bounced out. I always take care of my friends and and I always take care of the staff and I always take care of the people that are actually doing the work. Um, you know, I don't I don't like like I really, you know, it's funny because the amount of douchebaggery with with their uh martinis who are literally like they should just be somewhere else. So, um, so Beetlejuice getting played. There's a lot of games at the show. Uh, I you know I I still don't quite get like Goonies is sold out. Gremlins is sold out. Spooky's like sold out until 2028, which then I think when we get to 2028, Spooky's going to be sold out to 2030. So, I don't know, man. Like, it's cute these show games. I'm glad people are enjoying it. I know there's some division on like some of the layout and the scoops. I mean, the the nickname Spooky Scoop is is kind of funny. It's kind of funny. You know, the nickname Beetle Scoop is also kind of funny. I I will say we all have to laugh at it. Uh uh Spooky is laughing all the way to the bank. So is Christopher Franchie. I I saw a dude giving like his critique of Franchie's artwork on Beetlejuice being like, I don't know, this upper left section seems a little bit like he didn't know what to do and the front of the cabinet looks like an afterthought. And I'm like, are are are you serious? It literally is the most beautiful pinball machine I've ever seen. The front looks amazing. It It's called It's called a little variety. Okay. I got on a list for Transformers Ellie. I mean, look, there's not going to be a problem getting a Stern Ellie ever. A Transformers Ellie ever. Um I got Okay, wait. Why are people retracting their messages? Guys, don't you guys man up. Man up. Man up. All right. How are we gonna get enough sake money for Brenda in the next hour or what? What are guys? I'm hearing Transformers is great. I'm hearing Fallout is great. It's going to be a year of great games. And as I've been saying it though, I still think Sonic is going to be the game that raises the bar in the industry. I think Sonic is gonna just be like killer because I also what and we're just going to jump around. I mean I, you know, I my my mind goes to these different games as you guys are typing. The reason why I think Sonic is going to be incredible, first of all, Jean Paul the Win is also still working on Sonic. I think Sonic's also going to be like finally a JJP game where the code isn't stupid. It's just not going to be stupid complex. I mean, you you almost can't make Sonic the Hedgehog. Literally, the only goal in Sonic is to collect rings and get to the end. I I I mean, if Jersey Jack finds a way to make Sonic the Hedgehog a complex code that's intimidating, I I think that would be like a a herculean task to make this game complex. So, I have not seen the playfield. Um I I I I've heard about it. I've spoken to people that have played it. I've spoken to people at the company about it. I've seen a little bit of the cabinet. Um that is amazing. I mean, it just is what it is. I I mean, I could give you an exclusive on what the cabinet a little bit. No, I can't do it. Can't do it. Um, I'll just say this. I'll give you guys a little little exclusive. You guys want a little bit of an exclusive on Canadas Pinball Podcast. And I was a little bit surprised to see this. It looks amazing, but I was a little bit surprised. Let's do this. If we get to If we get to $200, I will give you a little bit of an exclusive information on Sonic's appearance, if you will. $200. Get you that or I will happily go. I mean, that'll get Brenda drunk. Baby girl got a little bit too much in her last night. I'm working on Brenda. I'm working on Brenda. She's uh she's got to She's got to She's got to simmer down a little bit. I I She's not a heavy girl. She doesn't require much and you know you got to know your limits. Mama, she's a mama. I keep telling her like this is not we you got to be careful in the suburbs. You got to be careful. This the suburbs. The reason I love the suburbs more than the city, but you really have to be careful in the suburbs. This is uh you know, especially in like wealthier towns, the uh the magnetic pole to just over consume. It's bad, man. People need to like and and and also like you know when you eat healthy and you're in shape and you and you you you know you're not like eating heavy alcohol absorbing carb heavy food like it'll hit you. So just everyone's got to just I tell everybody like I you know I don't know if sobriety works for for people in these towns because it could be pretty boring but you got to you got to be careful. You can go over that edge and it it could bite you. Um totally man. It's the other moms too. It's like the influences like you know what it is I tell this to Brenda don't absorb their problems their issues you know the amount of people in these towns like alcoholics and therapy like the moms are just like living you know there's a lot of unhappily married women that just like married for money and they literally medicate themselves to sleep every night and and that you know a lot of those people the moment the kids are out of college divorced latch on to the rich finance guy with his failed marriage and boom, you've got marriage number two with even more money and more unhappiness. YEAH, WE DID IT. WE DID IT. YEAH, blend it. Our kids stop talking to us, but we're going to go. We're going to go first class to Europe and drink ourselves into a stuper. Yeah. No, that's not the life I want. 100%. I never I you know I don't air up any of my problems to people. I you know my dad taught me that. Even my dad's like dude just deal with it. I call my dad if I want to complain about work or stresses. He doesn't want to hear it. He's like dude just you're an adult. Just get deal with it. Deal with it. I I I I will say like you develop grit. You also develop a way to make your brain not get stuck in like loops like mental loops around negative things all the time. Like look. And I'm not immune to it. Believe me, I'm I'm not some like walk in the earth like Zen monk. But but man, I do think we've created a society now where it's like mental health and like there are there are real people with mental health issues and then there's everybody else that's being told they have a mental health issue. And so we've taught these kids how to feel depressed, how to feel lonely, how to feel ugly, how to feel insecure, how to feel anxious. Like we've trained them. Think about it. If you never introduce anxiety to a child, they won't develop it. It's like, okay, um, you want to hear about my bar fight last night real quick? Okay, so here's what happened. Here's what happened. And this is like I'm just at the bar having a good time. And of course, these dudes roll in. You know, my friend came in. Like, you know what's funny, too? my other friend like he just started working out. Just started working out. I'm like, great. I'm I'm always happy when people start working out. He wants me to join Equinox with him. My gym is $19 a month because I just do weights and I eat healthy and I don't care about all the other fluffiness of a high-end gym. Right. So, he joins Equinox. Equinox is $240 a month. Okay. Yeah, of course. Nicer gym, nicer this, nicer that, nicer looking people, all that stuff, right? I'm not going to I'm not going to go from $19 a month to $240 for a gym. I like it's not going to it's not going to make the weights any different. It's not going to make the mirror any different. I It's not going to make my body any different. And I love it too when people first start working out. They always try to do this. They always become experts instantly on like exercise. Like, yeah, man. Like I'm like, "Bro, I've been working out religiously for like 17 years." Like, so you know what I'm and I'm glad you're doing it, but the other mistake people make is they try to like they try to go like so hard right away. You know what I'm saying? Like two hours in the gym or twice a day. Like they don't get it. It is about consistency, not about like conquering the day. Like one day at the gym erases like 15 years of not working out. It's consistency. It's like it's 30 minutes every day is where the results happen. It's not like expensive gyms and you go hard for like a couple weeks and then you just stop going, which is what most people do. Anyway, so I'm at the bar and these two other dudes, I don't know, I don't know even know how we got into this topic and this guy's like, "I'm investing in a new company," which they always got to tell you what their new investments are, right? Everyone's a freaking financial genius in these towns. I'm investing in a company by the founder of Pokemon. And I'm like, "Really?" I'm like, "That's interesting." you know, I'm really into Pokemon. Like, I'm I'm working on, you know, I'm getting a new Pokemon pinball machine. I've gotten into it with my son. The founder of Pokemon. And I'm like, who? And he's like, someone conh, you know? And I'm like, I don't know, man. That that that's not Japanese. Like, that's not the founder of Pokemon. Like, I don't know what you're talking about. And he's like, yeah, it is. I'm like, oh. He looks it up. Like, of course, it's some licenser, right? It's some marketing licenser guy that like brought Pokemon somewhere. Okay. But he's not. But I'm like, he's not the founder of Pokemon. He didn't create Pokemon. Very disrespectful to the people who created this IP. I don't even know why I'm getting into this debate with this guy. Long story short, this is where this is where Canada, you know, few oldfashions in me. This is where Canada just like let this guy have it. Like literally, I'm like, cool, man. Like, whatever. Like, I hope your investment works out. I just gota ask you a question. You came in here saying how you're investing in the guy that made Pokemon and his next thing is going to be huge. Can I just ask you one question? Can you name one Pokemon? Just one? Just one Pokemon? He's like, "No, man. I can't. It doesn't matter." Like, I mean, I'm like, and that that's where I was like, "Dude, you're a [ __ ] clown. Like, you're you're I hate to curse." I'm like, "You're a clown, bro. You're like, you're investing in something you don't even This is what's wrong with the world is just people like you. you have no interest whatsoever other than making money and all you want to do is make money off of other people's ideas and you don't want to do any research. You don't want to do anything. You don't even know what the probably the new thing is. All you know is like someone gave you an inside tip and you know what the douchebag will probably make a lot of money on his little insider trading like and this is what's wrong with the world. There's too many losers with too much money who didn't add any value back to society. And only those losers are the ones ascending in the financial world. This is not trickling down. We've made it impossible for small businesses to open up in all these cities. anyone with a good idea now is so far so far like uh you know behind the eightball on trying to like get it to market or or like you know you and these losers these losers are just the the rich are getting richer by adding nothing back to society. You know what I'm saying? And so I was like dude I can't even talk to you. You're just a chump. Like you you're investing in something you don't even know anything about and you come here like bragging about it. Like I'm going that's the kind of loser you want to sell your Pokemon elite to for like $28,000 because you know that's what I'm saying. Anyway, ah what's up John? You know look I'm just saying I I I I think um let's talk about the games of the show. So let's talk about Yukon Yeti. Let's talk about Yukon Yeti. The thing is this, Chris Turner is at a point now where he needs to stop with the whole I'm going to listen to feedback and we you know, you know, Chris, this is how he would talk to us right now. You know, we really just like hearing from people and we really are are always trying to get better and we really love everybody's feedback and we're, you know, we're growing, Chris. We're not going to be perfect and we're going to keep trying and we're Stop now, Chris. Three games in a row, everyone is telling you they don't like the art. Three games in a row. I I don't understand it. So, are you listening to feedback or are you just trying to give a paycheck to your artist guy that you've been working with all these years? So, you're not listening to feedback. The music is atrocious. Dennis Nordman picked it. Dennis Nordman's taste is atrocious. He's a He can have good designs, right? He could be a pinball designer and have atrocious taste in music. You see what I'm saying? The call outs of that giggling girl, right? The call outs atrocious. And here's my here's my issue. You cannot be successful in the world of pinball if you don't have somebody on your team that has good taste. you will absolutely keep making boneheaded move after boneheaded move. And you know, I just think these games look like they look like the books you buy for kids in a in a pharmacy. That's how bad the artwork is. So, you know, look, I I and again, like Chris is nice. The feedback is universal and I I guess they can go change it, but but but my concern is is that they think it's good. They think this is good enough to bring to shows. They think this is what people want. You know what I'm saying? Like, if you're making something, you have to you have to put yourself into the shoes of the customer and think you're making something that the customers are going to like. Yeah, I mean it is Bible cartoon art. I think Chris L, you said it best. It looks like Bible cartoon art. And I think Chris Turner is he Mormon? Is he I I think so. I I don't know. I don't know. I I I'm not saying that means anything. It It doesn't matter what religion you are. The art just sucks. I don't care if you're Christian, Mormon, you know, Jewish, you know. I I It doesn't matter. the art sucks no matter what country you're in, no matter what religion or god you pray to. You know, it just this art sucks. So, like it it's like, all right, cool. I don't think they I think they sold half through. I don't think they sold directly to customers. I mean, is he going to sell all these through? I'm sure some of the bigger dros we know about placed orders without customers. Um, I like the color scheme. I do. I don't think the color scheme is an issue. I don't mind the blue Yeti face. Um but yeah, I think um it is what it is. It is what it is. Like 10 sold in Australia. Wayne, how many people live in Australia? How many people? Can you give us the population of Australia? The fact that I don't Wait, is that like a 10? There's Okay, so they sold 10 games to a market of, you know, 25 million. Let's take out the kids. Like, let's just say like 17 million people that could potentially buy this game. It's only 500 units. Aziey's been on the uh the Yukon Yeti hype train a little bit. Azie, I think you bought one. Did you buy one? 10 units in one day. Are we are we considering that a success? Are we are we really saying that 10 units to a nation of 25 million people is a success in one day? Is that I I don't know. Is that is that is that is that a success? Yeah. I look I'm sure the game is fun. It's $12,000 with the all-in package. But if you ask me, you'll be able to find these easily for like eight in just like here's the other thing. When are you getting this game? When is this game on the line? Because historically, doesn't Turner like show a game and then like it's months before they're on the line. You know, the game The game that's really going to um get to customers sooner than later is the new Houdini. How do you guys feel about the new Houdini? The Flyer. The Flyer crying is is insane. Like I just saw Oric and Greg, you know, Greg Coloulton, who I love. And you know, Oric, I have no problem with Oric. I mean, he's another art director. He did try to get me fired one day. That was years ago, though. I forgot. I forgive him for that. But he he he emailed my the president of my company that I was slandering him. I don't think he was wrong. I mean, but to email the president of my company was kind of weird. But you know what? There's cowards and then there's people that will, you know, directly if he had just come to me directly, we would have buried the hatchet. But you know, some people want to email your boss. Like not how I would do it. wouldn't be the first time someone has emailed my boss or the lawyers of my holding company to get me fired. David Fix included. Um, Robert Mueller did the same thing. Robert Mueller was like the creepiest. What Robert Mueller did was he sent me an email like hiding from someone else, but it came from San Antonio. He outlined, this is why I turned my show off for a few months. outlined like all the presidents of my like of the company I work for and said that a a file was going to arrive on their desk unless I shut my podcast down on the Monday that was following and that was the day he he uh he opened up sales for Raza. So he literally strategically torturously interfered with my show to get it shut down so that when Raz's sales opened up I wouldn't be able to communicate to the community and he was successful because I was like I had a new baby and you know we were doing layoffs. It was like I think it was right there was like a maybe it was right before COVID or right around then. But I will tell you this, there are some purely evil people out there that will literally don't care if you just had a kid. They don't care. They don't care. They just want to destroy you because they think you don't have a right to share an opinion about the products they make. And I've always said this in pinball. We're allowed to give opinions about these games. Like, now I get it. I get it. It's like, you know, using company equipment, doing it in the company office. That's the part that's like, yeah. Like, but even then it's like what what could I possibly do to disrupt a great game from being successful? Just think about that for a minute. What could Pinball Podcast actually do to hurt sales of a great game? Absolutely nothing. The only time people have come at me is they knew that they made a crappy game and the company's finances were on the brink of disaster and they were trying to shut down, you know, negativity around it. So it's it's you know look Damian um I was once threatened to by Zach over at Flipping Out with that I was caus and you know when he sent me the legal note I still got it and again like I forgiven all these people. I'm just going to tell you the truth though because these people did these things. I got an email twice. This is when Zach invested heavily in Damian's company. And I feel, you know, on some level I do have some like I understand why Zach did what he did. But he had written a big check to become the exclusive distributor of Centaur, right? And so he was emailing me that my comments around the pre-orders because I was telling everybody, you got to be a [ __ ] to pre-order Centaur. Centaur, you got to be a [ __ ] to pre-order it. Don't give any money to it. Damian is lying. He's robbing Peter to pay Paul. All of it was accurate. All of what it All of what I said was accurate. Damian was lying. He didn't have, you know, he was going to You were going to lose your money and I was like warning people and Zach had wrote a big check to be the exclusive Dro. So, I get an email about how my comments were causing emotional harm to the to the employees at Flipping Out Pinball. I mean, this is all like funny to me now. Like, looking back on it all, he look, he's he's very successful. He doesn't care. He's moved he's moved past it. So have I. But I'm just these are these are the true stories that have happened um in the the multiple multiple scenarios where people have tried to uh to control the content I create. And you know I um I really do think the show and and my podcast and these lives has has been great. I think we've we've created a nice environment and a nice area where we can talk about pinball without being overly Win Schilling and overly negative. And you know, we praise I think we praise where praise is is is is warranted. And I think we critique where critique is warranted. And I and it's and look, if it wasn't balanced and and predominantly more positive than negative, people would not listen. So speaking of positivity, um let's talk about let's talk about Pokemon. So Pokemon is um it's out there now. They they have premiums at the show, right? any less at the show? I I I doubt it, but this game is like literally going out the door from my wife yelling at me. So, how's Pokemon going, guys? How's the game play? So, I I think Pokemon is is a game where like people are going to kind of find what they're looking for when they play it. I think people that are bought one are going to find fun and I think people that are like annoyed by it are going to find it to be boring and not fun. I think there's going to be a lot of that. Um, calling spooky slimes and greedy is super low. Mature folks find more constructive language. Who's who called spooky slimes and greedy? I I don't know. I think I've been pretty pretty positive to Spooky. Um Sean said, "I've played a ton of Pokemon on the Pro so far. It's fun. Way friendlier than other games. Kind of run out of stuff to do." All right. But it's early code, of course. Yeah. Maybe it was a drunken rant. Well, look, I I can tell you right now with in a constructive positive way that making those show games, 80 show games was a slimy move and was greedy, right? And and look, you know who knows this more than anybody? Luke. You know who's not going to do any more show games ever again? Luke. You know who took to heart my comments about show games? Luke, show games are ridiculous. You don't make You can't do 80 show games. It is the dumbest thing ever. It It is so silly. And it's simply because it wasn't even It wasn't even his greed. It was like they were just trying to make the distros and dealers happy who were complaining like babies. That's it. That's it. Um, Spooky deserves to raise pricing. They're going to raise it a little bit, but not too much. Gang. Gang, you got to understand, man. Spooky has got such a great advantage. They They are in Benton, Wisconsin. They're Their overhead is not what everybody else's is. They are having a good time. They are making a good living. They are creating a company of extraordinary value. And ultimately, you know, one day if they decide to sell Spooky Pinball, it's got tremendous value now. It's how you do it. It's how you do it. I don't think they're going to sell it. Bug and Luke are both very young. They've got a great future ahead of them. They've hit their stride. They've got Franchie. They they they absolutely have got a very very wonderful thing going. And why would they mess that up? And why would they raise their prices? See, you know what really did screw Stern over? There's no way Stern is $13,000 without a topper. I mean, a hard stop when you just think about what Stern Pinball is asking for what they're delivering. It's stupid. I think it's stupid. Hold on. I need to clean my camera. Camera's better on the damn phone than it is on the computer. How's that even possible? Okay. But you know what I'm saying is like Stern pinballs are so not worth what they and see so Stern is doing what you guys are suggesting Spooky do is they had a few good games that went up during COVID and so they raised the price of everything because they thought we would just keep buying at those prices easily. You got to remember, you know, look, we talk about this all the time. You got to remember the moment and we're not at 200 so you guys are not getting your little sonic sonic fact. The moment Stern Pinball and their marketing team decided to charge $20,000 for James Bond 60th was the moment they basically said, "We think you're all a bunch of idiots." Right. And I love, look, I love George Gomez, but even he was like, "We didn't set the price." Yeah, George, you did. It was on your effing website. You know what I'm saying? It's like, again, I love George Gomez, but don't lie. Don't say the dealer set the price. Don't It It was a lie. It was on their website. All right. Honestly, geez. I don't I think we're a dollar short, though. 200. How much? I don't think Let's see the total here. I think I don't think we're at 200. I think we're at like 900 $199. Um, I don't want to lie to you guys. I sold I I had There we go. Okay. I I had two Pokemons and I did end up selling one. So, I you know, I'm going to be honest. I speculated on Pokemon and, you know, I got a second spot legitimately. I didn't cut any lines. I had my name on a list for a while and I just thought, you know, let me see how this game goes. I have not seen the Sonic Playfield. I'll tell you the Sonic news before we end closer to 11, but we've reached the goal. I did sell my second Pokemon spot. Um, it wasn't hard to sell. There's a lot of interest in the game. And do I think it's worth what I sold it for? No. But it is to the person who bought it. Uh and and just looking at the Pokemon le sales over the last couple weeks. Um you know I I did well. I did well. I did very well. But but I'm starting to see the prices like whoever grabbed that one for 3,000 over. you are smart because now they're going for eight and nine again over and and and they're they're going now look we all don't know what the final sale price is a lot of those eight or nines are eight or nine or obo so you don't know like people could be oboing 5,000 over and just taking it you know and not being greedy so um that's like what's the word on Yukon J Jason what we're hearing is Yukon is got some interesting mechs and shots, but the music is atrocious, the art's atrocious, and the call outs are atrocious. So, I don't know. You know, that's my thing is like with those things being atrocious, why would you buy one now? Why would you I mean, I would wait to see if Turner can actually fix those things now. The art they can never fix. And you know me, I just couldn't put a dog in my home. Like, Guns and Roses is beautiful. Beetlejuice is beautiful. I think the new Houdini cabinets look really cool. Um, but you know, we got we got sidetracked a little bit. So, let's talk about Houdini for a little bit. Um, let's talk about Houdini because the um what do you guys think? I think look, Melvin made this art package in two weeks. This wasn't the plan. They were just going to remake Houdini like the way it was originally and I think they would have really struggled to sell any at this price. I this is this is a really good example of Melvin Williams has much better taste, has a better strategy, and once he gets in embedded more into the decision-making at AP, he's going to help them. He did not make the flyer. That was Ronald. Ronald, come on, man. Ronald made the new logo using AI as well. If you look at the logo, the spacing and the lettering isn't accurate because they used AI. It's like there's no excuse. Yeah. What's up, Kill? want to b into this. No way. Come here. Come here. Show Show everybody. First of all, we want to thank want to thank Brian over at American Pinball. Brian, the owner of the company. Can you say thank you, Brian? He sent you these cards. Well, can you say thank you, Brian? Kill. Say thank you, Brian. Thanks, Brian. Yeah. For sending me these cards. Do you like your Pokemon cards? Yeah. Yeah. Are you learning how to play? See, I found some some ones that need to be all the ones in this pile need to be evolved. Like this be See? Yeah. Yeah. See, you see what it says? It goes from basic to stage one and stage two. So, any basic Pokemon has two more stages of evolution, right? Yeah. And then they So, can I show you the one the ones that evolve? Yeah. Oh, I forgot. You need to go get him. Forgot to get this one. Okay. This one. He's So, uh, this one evolves into into who? Wow. I Okay, so let's see. We got l Lit Lit Leo evolves into Pyro. Wow. Leo evolves into Pyro. Wow. into Pyro. Yeah. All right. Daddy's going to finish his show. Then we're going to show them one more. Okay. One more. Show them one more. Who's this? That is um Who is it? Let's see. Houndor. Houndor. evolves into. See, Hound Door evolves into Hound Doom. Show them Hound Doom. Wow. All right. Yeah. Hold them up together. Show them the evolution. All see, it's amazing this game. Killian, we're about to get your Pokemon pinball machine like in a week or two. Are you ready? Yeah. You excited? Yeah. Yeah. You want the limited edition one? Yeah. Don't put the um this one away. Okay. No. Why did you put this one away? Okay. Only that. These are not Okay. I don't know what I'm doing here. Here you go. I mean, that's that that's what it's all about. I mean, I it's it's you know, like how do you go from this to being a dag at a bar investing in Pokemon when you don't even know a single Pokemon? This is why adults are like really lame. There's so many lame adults. Um, so let's see. What's the point of hiring someone who uses So here's the deal. Ronald, who used the AI for the flyer and the logo is not an artist. He's not a designer. too. Like a AP was just cutting corners and they've look they've been called out. I can tell you right now talking to Brian this week, these mistakes are not going to happen again. So I you know what's really crazy to me is the level of babies who are like, I will never buy from this company. Like what are you talking about? I told this to Greg, my friend. I'm like, Greg, man, what are you doing, man? You're a successful guy. You you I know you're an artist and like look artists I understand why artists hate AI so much. I get it, but don't make a mountain out of a molehill and say like if this is I will my wallet's clo like it's a flyer, bro. Are you seriously coming in here? Let's Let's get this guy in. Come here. Come here. Come here. Come here. Come here. Oh. Oops. Whoops. Come here. Come here, Cass. Cassian, can you come say hi? Brenda, look at this beautiful woman. I mean, hold on. Let me show Look, I This is This is the The Brenda edition is the Super Ellie. Hold on. Let's Brenda, come say hi. Look. Look. Look at this. Everyone. Hi. This gorgeous. Hi, everyone. What is she? What is How did I get so lucky? Like one of one of one created two Irish babies. She's going to a baby shower. When are you leaving? 11. You look stunning. You look stunning. Much better than you did last night when I found you. I mean, look, you know, Machine Gun Kelly song said the best. If you can't if you can't have me at my worst, you don't deserve me at my best, right? Or you can't take is it you can't take me at my worst, you don't deserve me at my best. I mean, that's kind of like a metaphor for all of us in life. You know what I'm saying? Like Canadian's going to throw a drink eight years ago. It's not my best, but that's my worst. So, if you can forgive me for my worst, you can have me at my best. It's great. Life, that's what life's about, you know. All right, we're we got a 15 more minutes here. Um, yeah, I'm really looked out with Brenda. Like, wow. Wow. And the older she gets, the more beautiful she looks. I'm just like, wow. And you never know, man. You never know if like someone's going to be a good mom or not. Someone's going to like really, you know, get the family going in the right way with the right attitude. The amount of moms I know at work that are like mom dads where like they literally just hand the kid off to the dad and these men are so emasculated. They literally they literally are the ones like staying home all the time doing all the like the the nurturing and like not not in this household. Like nope. Like, and look, we we have a good we it it works. Like, we we take turns. Absolutely. Like, we we we definitely, but the balance, it's like she knows what I need, I know what she needs, and and that's how we do it. And we we absolutely put what the kids need first. And I mean, it's crazy to me if you're a mother and you don't want to like spend like this. This is like the most magical moment in life. Like to to hand it off and then just go to work every day and not want to see your kids much. What? Cuz when it's over cuz when it's over, it's over. Like childhood is such a small little window. And then they're going to be teenagers and they're going to think they know more about the world than us. And they're going to, you know, like we're we're going to long for these days. We are going to long for the days where they want to jump in the bed and will you play with me and you know can I have a lollipop? You know what I'm saying? Like like that the it's what makes life so special. Okay, so to the flyer babies out there, chill out. Okay, now look, American Pinball has got Circus Voltater next. It's confirmed. I'm confirming it. It's confirmed. All right. Now, they think they're going to be able to sell 750 of them. What do you think? 750 Circus Voltater Reimagined with like, you know, better code. Brian Allen on the artwork. I don't know, man. I don't know. I don't know. The quality is going to be better than the Padretti gaming stuff, but I just don't know, man. Because it's not COVID anymore, but it is Circus Voltater. Like, it's got some of the coolest mechs in pinball history. Um, the ring masters still like, forget it. like run circles around almost anything modern times like and and like well they're not going to be able to use like real neon in the light but you can easily create like the neon effect. Um Tux brother how you doing? Good morning sunshine. Good morning to our friend Tux. Tux we hope you're feeling good today. Um 750 Circus Voltaars. Well, I I mean, look, I'm assuming the price is going to be somewhere around 10 G's or maybe a little bit more. Been a while since I played the game. They were broken a lot from what I remember. Um, yeah. Well, that's the thing is like not many of these things survived in great condition. They didn't make many to begin with. And then if you get like a HEP restored one, which is like what this thing will be out of the box, you know, so, you know, it's going to be And look, if there's only 750 I don't know. I just like I worry a little bit on the Brian Allen interpretation of the art because I just don't think because I think he's got it up already. Let's go look. Let's go look. Brian Allen. I mean, it's intense, you know. It's a lot of intensity. Let's see if I can get the back glass. Get rid of that. Uh, okay. So, what do we think? Is that is that the back glass you saw, Brian? Um, yeah. I mean, I don't I don't I don't dislike this one, you know? I mean, I I think some of the other stuff when he makes the characters a little too um you know, like like they're like they just pop some crystal meth is is kind of when I have Yeah, let's let's bring up the original, too. Okay, hold on. The thing about the original that I liked is that John Papadiuk is on it. I don't, you know, I don't know, man. Like, I'm kind of like there's like a charm to this one that is Let's see. Okay. So, keep keep focused on this one. And then let's look at this one. So, like I don't I don't know. Like I love the weird J-pop, you know, in the right. I mean, I don't know what's going on with that girl's butt in the lower left there, but I think what I'm going to go back to the other one, too. Hold on. Cuz Okay, so she's holding like the ring master mask and then let's see. I mean, she's got some she's got some thunder thighs there in the lower left. Um, so she's holding the crystal ball. Let me zoom in a little bit so we can see a little bit better the details of that one. Hold on. Uh, where is it? Here. Okay. And I don't know. It's like messing up. I'm trying to zoom in and it like messed everything up. Let's see. All right, whatever. Um, I I think it kind of works. You know, it's got um I do like in the original there's just more there's a little bit more green. It's also like a very faded cabinet, but um yeah, I think Brian's is better to be honest. Uh yeah, I do. I think it's actually better. Um, good job, Brian. I I hope John Papadiuk makes its way into it somehow. Now, it's it's it's only when Brian like has like he has a tendency at times to illustrate some of the some of the characters like like like Ren and Stimpy like their eyes are popping out and they're just going like bonkers like like is Rick and Morty for example. Let's do this. Brian Allen. Uh, Rick and Morty trans light. See if I can even find it. Yeah, it was like was basically this. Where is the where is the okay like like like that to me that's like like what is happening here? you know, it's like once once they become like methheads, like going nuts. Um, yeah. I I think he's better when he dials it down a little bit. What's up, Jack? Danger, baby. Jack, how you doing? Are you at Texas Pinball Festival? Did you get me a jacket yet, Jack? Did you get me a jacket? Did you get I I I want I want I want I want Jack's jacket. There There's only like three of them. just it's like every time I see it, I'm I'm like I'm a Guccied out. I'm spending thousands of dollars and Jack's got a way cooler 151 people watching right now. Look at I don't care. Oh my god, the kids are like knocking on the doorbell. We can only do about an hour show today cuz Brenda is going to a baby shower. I have the kids all day. Wish me luck. Wish me luck. I have the kids from 11 to 5, right? What What am I supposed to do? You know what I'm saying? So, the reason this shirt says I don't care what street you live on, for those of you who join late, um I'm not a TPF Jack. Um, the reason it says that is every time I go just try to have a lobster roll at my favorite restaurant, the first question people ask you in these towns is what street do you live on? It's because they just want to know how much money you have. That's all it is. They don't they they want to know where did you buy? Did you buy an $8 million house? Did you buy a $4 million house? Or did you buy a $2 million house? And that actually will that actually will dictate how they will treat you, whether or not you're worthy of their what. Now, I will tell you this. All the money in the world is not doesn't matter when you're just hanging around your buddies, drinking beers, talking pinball. Think about it. Like at TPF, where you having fun? Who cares? You are literally sitting next to some people that have no money, some people that are billionaires, some people you're sitting around a table with pinhead dudes drinking beers talking pinball. How much money do you need to do that? How much money do you need in your checking account to do that? Not a lot. People have like literally when they size you up and I know I shouldn't take it personally. I just I just find it funny. That's why I make stuff like this cuz I like throwing it back in their face. Like, would you just like to know my net worth? You know, let's just cut to the chase. Do you want to know how much I I guarantee you that you have a lot more money than me? And I guarantee you I have a much better life than you. You know what I'm saying? Like these people like they don't get it. They don't get it on your third marriage with your blended families and your big house that's empty with your therapist on speed dial. Like, oh, maybe Canada should be in drapery. But you know what? You guys are my therapy. When you find Here's the thing, too, and I don't know if you guys struggle with this at all, like in your other parts of life. When you find communities that are built around a common interest like we have, I do find it kind of hard to talk to other adults about just like I don't want to talk about work. I don't want to talk about daycare. I don't want to talk, you know what I'm saying? It's like ah like adults can be so dry and boring when they're not into things. So then you end up talking about the Carl Weathers. Like yesterday Brenda ran into someone she used to work with at like Meta and it was just like oh yeah like I mean Meta let my wife go. I don't really want to. And there I am like two adults and I'm just like I'm just trying to go get another oldfashioned and I'm I I I'm not going to be friends with these people. Like I don't need more friends. I've got so many amazing friends. And like I'm not being rude but Brenda don't stop me. Don't force me to like engage with these strangers for 10 minutes and like I I gave her I gave out to Brenda a little bit. Brenda, next time we like meet up like just, hey, how's it going? Great. Oh, we're just popping in. Keep it moving. Don't Don't trap me to having awkward conversations with adults. Like I don't need it. I I want to I want to talk to Jack Danger. I want to talk to Azie. I need I need to talk to Be about his, you know, his his Beetlejuice issues. I I need to the these are the conversations I want to have. I don't want to I want to talk about Houdini flyers, you know? I don't want to talk about like how's Meta like really cool that Mark's going to fire another 20,000 dude. Mark Zuckerberg just announced that he's shutting down the metaverse $80 billion which is the reason why my wife got fired because of his bad decision and now he's just going to shut it down after he's made himself another hundred billion dollars. This is why the modern world and corporate America and all these tech companies bunch of losers. They did not make our All we really needed was a little bit of this, you know, like the ability to connect. See, here's the thing, too, gang. We make We're We're enjoying what is still healthy right here. This is long for content. Long form content in which we sit down and we stay focused. There's no editing. There's no quick strip. Like the problem with social media is it's not this. This is good. This is like a video conference call that has been around for a long time. The the the the modern social media algorithm content that they keep shoving down everybody's throat. That's unhealthy. This is healthy. Watching a movie is healthy. Doom scrolling for two hours so you feel insecure and you feel stressed out. It's also like what it's doing, how it's wiring the brain to not be able to stay focused. Don't care, dude. Tell us about Okay, so Sonic. Yeah. Okay. All right. Hold on. All right. So, we are at the 11. Okay. All I'll tell you about Sonic is this. And thank you for the money. We're going to get Brenda properly sauced again tonight. I was shocked to see because I think it should have been like this color right behind me. I was shocked to see. Where's my finger? There's my finger. This color right here. Right here. Boop boop boop. I was shocked to see it. Still looks amazing, but it's like that the collector's edition armor for Sonic the Hedgehog, which has got some of the coolest cabinet stuff going. You're going to see it's not blue. I was shocked. I was Sonic the Hedgehog. Why isn't the CE blue? It's their decision. Wasn't what I would have done. Now I think I know why they did it because there is a lot of blue elsewhere. But it's window glass clear. No, it's not clear. going for a hike in nature. Um, Azie, I like talking to you too, bro. Blue Sonic, Red Knuckles, Yellow Tales editions. H I don't think it's going to be that. Um, so when is Sonic going to drop? Is it conver is it covered in lobster rolls? I hope so. It's a good question about when Sonic will drop. And if I were a guessing man, I would I would say Sonic will drop around ComicCon San Diego. I I I think that's going to be their their like window. Let's see when it is. San Diego 2020. Uh let's see. Where's the date? Wow. You think they'd have the date like front and center uh date? Let's see. July 23rd through July 26th. Okay. So, I would I I think we're going to see Sonic out in July to hit um Comic-Con. What's going to be fun is I that's going to be Transformers as well. So I I I expect Comic- Con to be the debut show for both Transformers and Sonic. It makes total sense. And it's going to be crazy, bros. Like, can we bro out right now? Yeah, there's a dude at the bar yesterday, too. He's like I was like, "Finance bros." He's like, "I hate when people call finance bros." Like, well, like what what what would you call finance bros if not finance bros? Ah, you know, I I will say this. There's something I love and despise about Finance Bros. And and again, it's just it's because again, I just don't think they create anything of value other than making money for their clients. So, like the only value they make is more money. They just turn money into more money, but there's nothing else. You know, that's like, you know, I I get it. I get it. But on some level, I don't really respect that where I respect that James Dyson, who I used to work for, invented the vacuum cleaner, the new vacuum cleaner. I respect that Spooky makes these games and Brett Abbis develops, you know, the turned JJP into this. Like, I I don't know, man. Like, if you just made money off of money, like, yeah, that's great, but what did you really do, guys? Where are you? Retro Games. Transformers is being designed by Elliot Elliot Eismin. It It always shocks me. Retro Games, have you been on this channel before? I I'm just curious. I'm I I'm not like just trying to signal like si signal you out. Sle you out? Why did I say signal? Um but man, like we we know this. Elliot Elliot Eismin, who did John Wick, Transformers will be his follow-up game. Um, all right. I gotta go. Let Brenda go. So, everybody, I love you. Thank you for the support. Thank you for the donations. I think we hit around $200. I really appreciate it. You Facebook people, you're cheap. There's only six like you 16 people on Facebook, 121 on YouTube. We'll see. You know what's crazy though is like in the end though, Facebook will show this to like 4,000 people which YouTube will not. Um, and so like it's interesting. So like but the monetization on YouTube has been great. Also, the the reason I like making money on the YouTube doesn't I don't lose as much when you make any money through an iPhone. You know who takes the cut? Apple. Apple. Apple's taking um Oh, wait. I'm on an Apple computer. But I don't think I don't I don't know now. I don't know. I don't think they do. Apple knows. The reason why Apple takes a cut is I'll tell you why. Because you're using the app, right? This is crazy, right? Apple takes a huge cut because you're using the Facebook app on its phone. On the computer, it doesn't know. I'm just on Chrome just live streaming it. they don't take that cut. So, it's much more lucrative for me to make money on YouTube than it is through Facebook Live. Yeah. On on YouTube, Azie. Man, that's a that's a that's a that's crazy. But thank you, Azie. I know you're good for it, brother. Thank you for all the donations, everybody. Um, Azie, are you on both Facebook and Are you on Facebook and YouTube at the same time? You You like the party, bro. That's baller. Not Not sure why, but that's pretty baller. Um, everybody have a great Saturday. Love you guys. New show Monday morning as always. Be good. Enjoy your weekends. He's monitoring all the comments. Enjoy March Madness. You know, I got to say before I go, I March Madness like kind of sucks now because of NIL. Have you noticed it? Like it's just like it's just like the teams with the big money now. There's not never going to be like big upsets anymore. Like we're literally going to see the Elite 8 will most likely be the top ranked teams moving forward now forever. Like it's just going to be whoever spends the most money where it used. It's just I don't know. It's just again again much better when these players I I still think they should have set up trust for these players, but now with NIL it's like cool Duke's going to win. All right, later. You just turned in, man. Show's over. Love you guys. All right.
