you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you The American Pronunciation Guide Presents ''How to Pronounce Monday Night'' Well, this is Monday night, the game's just begun. I turn off the switch, start to build a huff-huff. The truth is, I'm a massive high, I'm super now free. And doing speedy with the delicacy. I'm from Chicago, it's just a tip-fly. Monday night pinball's coming on tonight. Are you ready for some pinball? For Monday night party, yeah. Let's get it now. I'm about to get you to my party, y'all. Woo! Love it, pinball, girl, I don't wanna be back. All my friends are here for Monday night. Hey, what's going on, pinball land? And welcome to Monday Night Pinball on the Flip N Out Pinball Streaming Network. With me today, to my right, Art Director, Stern Pinball, Hall of Fame Pinball Artist, Mr. Greg Rarid. Greg, welcome. Welcome, Greg. Thank you. How y'all doing? Hey, to Greg's right, the man with the plan, my stunt double, Steve Beattie. Steve, welcome back to Monday Night Pinball. Okay, number two. Thanks for having me. It's an honor and a pleasure to have this gentleman in here to my right. And Greg, it's good having you here, too. No, I'm kidding. So a little background story for myself. As somebody that's appreciated these Elvira pins since the very first Elvira and the Party Monsters, followed up by Scared Stiff, to see number three not only, you know, come from an idea but come to fruition, it's got to be a thrill for you as it's been a thrill for us. Oh, yeah. You know, the day we started talking about it, Dennis and I, you know, It's just like one of those things where, yeah, we could do it again. You know, we were confident that there was another one in us and we could figure it out and make it happen. So, yeah, it's awesome to see it come to fruition, like you said, and especially after, you know, the time we spent on it. And there's a lot of hard work that goes into it. I was going to say, I mean, and it was a long time in the making, too, because I remember the unofficial kind of announcement was at, like, Texas Pinball Festival a couple years ago. And it was Cassandra Peterson that kind of just threw it out there. And then the clock was ticking in those that were waiting for the game. Yeah, it was kind of like, you know, we were told, sure, go ahead and tell everybody. And we got it out there. And then it was like, okay, we got a lot of work to do yet. A lot of work. Now, you have done the last three pins, the Elvira pins, and it was with Dennis Nordman on design. Correct. And obviously Cassandra Peterson as Elvira. Tell me a little bit about the dynamic between the three of you when you guys are collectively putting together material. Because for this pin especially, we're noticing a lot of video assets, a lot of direction. I mean, all this was for the pinball machine. It's surpassed the day of just pinball call-outs. I mean, she's acting and she's in character, and I can only imagine that you guys play a huge role in how that comes through. Well, after you do, you know, two games, we looked at it like, all right, how do we take it to the next level? Right. So it made sense to go in that direction, and especially with the screen we have now, you know, that's the technology boost that we got from, you know, from scared stiff to here is that, you know, now we've got a full-color screen. Let's use it to our advantage and do the best we can with it. And when she said there would be video available to work from, we didn't know what that meant at first. Did it mean we're going to use the videos from her show? Yeah. Or are we actually going to get some kind of live video of her or, you know, recorded video? And when she said, no, we'll record a certain amount of video for you, wow. Yeah, that's amazing. That's the both of us. That was huge, yeah. I mean, it's nice to be able to work with her because a lot of times it seems now when you attain a pinball license to try to retain as many of the assets within the license can become a challenge. But to have somebody on board with her, you know, with her likeness and her brand and her just kind of being enthusiastic about it, they had to take some of the pressure off, right? Exactly. Yeah. She's always been great to work with. She's very open to suggestions and design. I mean, she's got to approve everything. So, you know, everything that we show her, she's usually very amicable about. Yeah, that's good. She can approve things quickly. It's always helpful. Yeah, always great to work with. And for those of you that are just joining chat, we're with Greg Ferrer, art director and designer at Stern Pinball. Greg, artist on – how many pins are in your artillery at this point? I mean, there's got to be a ton of them, right? That's a great question, and I don't know the answer to that, unfortunately. Well, then you have arcade background, too. Yeah, a little bit. Yeah, a little bit. Yeah. I would say it's probably over 30, but I'll never surpass, like, a Kevin O'Connor. I mean, that guy's got a lot of games behind him. And, you know, the guys from the 50s, of course, were cranking out a different package every week, you know. Artwork is a little different now. It's not a little bit, though, too. It's like you're not going to do a package like you would see on any modern-day pinball in a few years. John Yowsey also had a lot of games behind him. So you're over under at about 30, give or take 50. I touch every game at Stern, but that doesn't mean I'm doing any formidable artwork on it. It's just getting things done, getting it out the door to the printer and stuff like that. That's awesome. Hey, thanks, everybody, in chat. And, you know, thanks for the bits, Tiki Pinball, Terry Hardy. Thank you so much. Kaz, thanks for coming in. We're going to keep this rolling tonight. We're going to start a three-player game on Elvira's House of Horrors. If you have any questions for Greg or anybody here, please put them in chat, and then we'll address as many as we can. Greg's agreed to kind of give us his time tonight until about 9 o'clock, so I figure we'll play Elvira for an hour, hour and a half, and then let's get 30 minutes of after hours. So if you want to go ahead and give Greg a call and talk to him personally on the phone, you're absolutely welcome to do that too. And then Carl Weathers's a little dicey right here in Chicago with wind and, like, some snow potentially on the way. But I think we'll be safe until about 9. Yeah, should be good. Let's do a three-player game, Steve. Let's start it off a little bit. Lord of the Ring breath. Clear coat this 101. Thanks for the bits. I do appreciate it. We've added a Streamlabs bot tonight. So if you see some interaction going on, it's because we spare no expense here at Flippin' Up. What the hell are you guys talking about? Hey, you want to turn that up a little bit? We'll get a little more audio here. What are you thinking? You're up. That's what I'm thinking. Let's go to 21. 20, 21, whatever it takes. All right. Awesome. So a little audio level check. Let me know. Can the Greg autograph your new Stranger Things Translight? No, I don't have a Stranger Things Translight. But you know what Greg did do? He did autograph a piece of artwork for me when he came in today. And this is a true story. We've had a lot of industry people come through the streaming or the studio, so to speak. I have only asked two pinball individuals for their signatures when they were here. And you were the second one. And it was only because of order of events. Let me see if you can guess who the first person would have been. And I'll give you a hint. He's from Stern Pinball. And it's not Jack Danger. Not Steve Ritchie? Not Steve Ritchie. Steve has to show up in order for me to ask for his autograph. How about Chuck? No. No. No. Although I should get a Chuck autograph. Not John Borg. Wow. No. I'm striking out here. That's okay. I mean, you've got a lot of employees there. Right. It was George Gomez. Oh, wow. Okay. So George came in and he streamed Star Wars The Pin with us, and I had him sign a banner. So, hey, I appreciate it. Thanks for the John Hancock, Greg. So Greg's going to step up on Player 2. Now, Greg's been blowing up the machine. No pressure. Greg's ready to rock and roll and see how this goes. All right. So where's the game? You guys should realize. He's going to realize there's no pressure once he sees both of us play. Here we go. Oh, he's joking. Greg. We do have a big game tonight. There's nothing better than. No, there's a ball state for you, Greg. How is the sound on the game? Did we. I think we're okay. We're good there? I think so. A little 21 going on. We'll see how that goes. Ball one locks. I'm happy to be back in Studio C playing Alvira. Me too. Because those games are awesome. Hey, there we go. Skill shot. That's good advice, Carrie. When streaming a pinball machine, it's good to change the view so that you have the actual game being streamed. because I kept this in the studio. It's old. Your whole turn. That turn was lost in Internet lore. Sweet ball. So no worries about that. Oh, that's funny, man. Was the banner given away yet? Yeah, Zach at Flip N Out Pinball gave away the Elvira banner. Silly, sweet. Last time, people. What's up, Outer Spacey Tracy? Hi, Outer Spacey Tracy. Thanks for joining us. Banner's gone. Yes, banner. No, it's not. We still have the banner. Did we discuss how we're giving the banner away tonight? I know. I don't think we're giving a banner away tonight. I don't think so. We gave one away last week. I thought Zach posted something on Facebook. Maybe I misunderstood that. If Zach's here, let us know what we're doing there. Sorry about it. Maybe I read last week's post. Yeah, well, evidently, when we went live today, it said that we were streaming Jurassic Park from Studio C. Yeah, yeah. And I very clearly changed the outro to Greg Ferreris from Stern Pinballs. Very clearly. I don't know what's going on. But I want to burn now. The Rook assault. pinball podcasting or pinball streaming. Very cool. Need a polynomial photo for Zach's giveaway. Hey, Dr. John, what's going on? Hey! Hey! You're going for that, like, live dead cat? All right. Higher cat, red eye, thanks for the bits, buddy. Yeah! 25 to Moat Share. Thank you. Oh, look at that. What is this guy doing? Blowing rainbows? That guy's face. I don't know. There's some new emojis going on here. Ken's always upgrading. There is a banner tonight. I was correct. We'll have to discuss that here in a bit. But very cool, guys. Colonials are BS. All right, guys. So, Greg, do you have a strategy in scoring on this game? Or do you not want to give away your secrets to blowing the game up? Yeah, right now. I have not blown the game up yet. Usually I try to start loading the garage for multiballs. So just start your multiball right away? Well, or at least get it to a point where I can get it ready to go when I start up on it. When the time comes. Kind of work those two together. I've been streaming pinball on Twitch for six months. I've never had a ball one that lasted more than about 40 seconds. Your ball one. I hate it. As always, yeah. And I'm always mad at the designer on the first plunge. So, Dennis Nordman, wherever you are. It's all your fault. And the artwork's always getting in your way. Can I share the fantastic name of my tournament next month? I'm very proud. I hope you just get it. Good times. Go for it. I see you have the flippers have different rubbers on them. I did change out the flipper rubbers. Okay. And it wasn't because I wasn't happy with the quality of the ones, but I went with like a purple to kind of accentuate a little bit of the gradient play field coloring. Are they grippier than standard? No, they're not like the silicone rings. They're just kind of like rubber. They might be slightly, but... They just seem a little grippier to me. Huh. Well, you would know. Maybe they are. They might be supermans from pinball life, now that I think about it. CJ Seahan, what's up, Special One Lit Crew? Nothing. What's up? Welcome in. Outer Spacey Tracy, I do enjoy the name. So Tiki Pinballs, Greg, what was it like working with Elvira for the third time, 30 years since the first? Isn't that amazing? It is amazing. Yeah. It was great. Like I said, she's a class act. She loves pinball. That's the key. So she's enthusiastic about it. Absolutely. It's not like she just feels obligated. No, she's in it because she loves pinball. And pinball has been very, very good to her. Yeah, I can imagine. So it's done well. And, yeah, she's fun to work with. We did some audio pickups with her in Studio One, which was my office that day. That's amazing. And it was just so much fun to have her in my office and watching her do the voiceover work. That's incredible. So who's in your office at that time? It was me and Jerry. Jerry Thompson? Yeah. Sound engineer for Mustard. So was it a thrill for him to work with Elvira, too? Because Jerry's been all over the place. Yeah. Yeah, he's worked with a lot of great people over the years. And, yeah, it was fun for him, too. Yeah, absolutely. At any point, so she wasn't bored. She wasn't like, let's get this over with. She was just having a good time with it. Once she gets into character, she's off and running. Now, was she dressed up like Yelvira in your office? That would have been awkward. It's like, whoa, wait. No, that's awesome. So legendary Hall of Fame pinball artist Greg Freres is now taking his turn. as player two tonight. Good having Greg in the studio here. Yeah, very much so. And thanks, everybody, for coming in during Monday Night Pinball. Yeah, thank you, guys. Thanks, Greg, for coming out. Yeah. And maybe a little sketch Carl Weathers. Outer Spacey Tracy, do me a favor. Can you post the name of your tournament again? I figured out how to increase the font size on the chat for our end. I love it. So we're not squinting. The problem is it's flying up fast. and I missed it. That's a good point. And I know she kind of set the table for it, and I missed it. CJC hand, any layout, art, et cetera, that Cassandra contributed? That would be a good question. We can ask Greg when he comes in. Yes, he is. Nice little inbrawled Langstein sign. Nice. Oh, yeah, I get it. Let me use the inbrawled instead of old Langstein. Yeah, nice job. That's very creative. I got it. I got it. I haven't had too many beers yet. Greg, you're killing it. Woo. They're coming for you, Marsha. Or Martha. Marsha. Marsha. Marsha. Martha. They're coming for you, Martha. It still works. If anybody's looking to pick up in a virus house of horrors, there's a premium available to ship right now from Flippin' Off Pinball. You can call 847-778-4876 or contact Zach at FlippinOutFootball.com. He also has a signature edition, Steve. So if you're looking for the... Here we go. multiball. There we go. First multiball of the night is brought to you by... Great, great, great. It's Barbara, isn't it? I was going to say Marcia. Marcia of Martha. I was going to say Tracy. She's like, dude, it's Barbara. It's Barbara. You're not even close. Her name's Barbara. Don't even have the letter that starts the name correct. That's what it is. Memory goes first when you're in your 40s. You had eyebrow in there. Today they are. What's everybody drinking tonight? Well, I'll tell you what. I'm drinking a little Two Brothers Pinball Pale Ale tonight. Nice. Remc Reres is hydrating tonight with his Coors Light. Steve, what are you drinking tonight? I got a little vodka seltzer going. Oh, there you go. A little low carb. Low carb going. You know? Like a Kraft White Claw. Yeah, exactly. It's a homemade white claw. Right. All right. Lord of the Ring Brothers. I live in the south, and we had one called Fall Pinball Crawl, y'all. That's cool. We have a pin crawl where we go, our pinball club, we go to different houses and compete, and that's really fun. That is fun. Is Greg lighting it up here? I think so. I'm watching some flipper skills. Look at that. Yeah? I don't play enough. Craft white claw. Oh, that's going to be the next thing. That's right. Craft claws. Oh, nice. He does got some flipper skills, though. Yeah. It's almost as if he works at a pinball company. Yep. I'd be better at pinball if I was the art director. Yeah, would you? No, I probably wouldn't. A lot of art to be done there. There's a lot of art to be done there. I love the music in this pen. I had a doctor appoint this schedule for tomorrow. I rescheduled. Hey, good ball, good ball. Nice job. Yeah, nice. We're just getting warmed up, so. How does this game play? Is it too flat or is it too steep for you? A little bit floaty? Compared to what I'm used to at work. Oh, okay. Perfect. I didn't know if you wanted to know that so do you have one of these in your office right now no we have a test area you know where we sure sure sure so we had a question in chat did Alvira, did Cassandra have any input on any of the art or layout or any of the game I don't remember exactly what I think it was CJC. I don't know if you can re-ask that question. Not as much on this game. On the earlier games, she had a couple of art requests that she wanted embedded in the artwork. I think on the first game, she wanted to do shout-outs to friends of hers from when she played pinball back in the day. Oh, nice. And so on the back last, I had a couple of different shout-outs. one to her husband and manager at the time. So a little Easter eggs going on. Yeah, a little Easter eggs back then. And then on Scared Stiff, she had just had a, her daughter was probably maybe two years old at the time, and they called her Little Luna. So she asked if I could put Little Luna somewhere on the back glass. So in the middle of the back glass, there's a cheese plate with little Luna cheese. I remember that. Very cool. There's a lot of Easter eggs in the back glass. Very cool. Yeah, there's a few. What about current Elvira? Not so much. She didn't have any requests. We asked her if she'd like anything again. We can do that. And she declined. She didn't have anything specific. She didn't say that one cool guy from Expo that does the pinball podcast. Can we get them in there? Nothing like that. I guess it was after the fact. Yeah. Had she met you, you know. I know. I guess I'm a little behind. You were talking about you, right? Not Jack Danger. Yeah, right. It's a good thing Jack Danger doesn't have a podcast. No. We'd all be running for our money. I get confused between podcast and streaming. Yeah, no. This is a stream. It all looks the same to me. Outer Spacey, Tracy's asking if you have a favorite feature from each of the Elviras or any of the Elviras. Yeah, that's a great question. I just love the ramps on the first Elvira. It was just so much fun to just keep shooting the ramps on that game. You know, there was a different day, you know, different kind of entertainment value out of the Elvira and the Party Monsters. Yeah. But the, definitely the, you know, on Scared Stiff, the crate was cool. The crate's awesome. And I love the Boney Beast ramp. It's one of my favorite ramps in all of them. And Dennis' layout, you know, it's just some really solid shots. You know, that game, you're prompted to shoot around the play field. Right. And so it's great for that. You can pretty much complete that bottom area of the play field by shooting every shot in the game. It turns out it really shoots well, and I think equally this one has a similar vibe, and you can really shoot well. Hey, I like this song. I love this song. It's not a song that I really ever thought twice about until I started experiencing a pinball moment to the tune of this song. Sure. And it's really fun. Anything you're working on else pinball-wise? Greg, you're always working on pinball stuff. Always. You're never not working on pinball stuff. No, never not. I got a question for you. Working on plenty, but I can't talk about it. That's right. Stay tuned, right? Right. For instance, if you had to seclude yourself to only playing one of your Elvira pins during the course of one year. Would it be Party Monster, Scared Stiff, or House of Horrors? Wow. This one is way too new, so I'd have to say House of Horrors because I need to see more of it. Makes sense to me. I enjoy it too. Hey, that's me. That's you? Woo! You needed a personal call-out in there, like, Greg, come push my buttons. No, no. He's like, no, we're not going to do anything like that. Hey, 42 Gifts. says, howdy, Chet. What's going on? Howdy. Lord of the Ring breath. We can ask Greg about that velvet couch swatch if you'd like. I love the idea of Skier Stiv, how it freaks out. I didn't realize Jump and Jive was Hipper Gargoyles. Yeah, if you hit him each twice, it'll start Jump and Jive mode. Well, then you need to hit him during Jump and Jive mode. Yeah, right. And then it's like you're collecting. Oh, yeah. That was a Ken ball, man. Hey! Floaty. We had Lord of the Ring Breath asking if you could comment on how the velvet swatches came into play for the Signature Edition machine, how that worked out. That's an interesting question as well. We were told that her couch, her famous sofa, was out of commission. They decommissioned the sofa, so to speak. Decommissioned, right. Yeah, and tore it apart. And her manager offered that, hey, we've got swatches of this material, and would you like to use them for anything And so it made sense to somehow incorporate them into the higher end product and so yeah we we placed them on the COA and that the history of that And I see a question y'all hiring Bob Ross. Where are all these emoji Bob Rosses and rainbow face guys coming from? Ken added some new stuff in here, I think. Right. That's good stuff. No, no, no. What up, Pinball Obsessed? I mean, we're always hiring. We're always hiring. Yeah, it's a thousand. But, you know, it's very limited to what we need at that point in time. But, yeah, our department's pretty good right now. And so, yeah. Pinball Obsessed says, what's up, guys? What's up, Pinball Obsessed? Good times. Well, that was officially the worst game I ever had in Elvira's House of Horrors. I'm starting to hear that. Only fitting that I do that on a live broadcast. Let's start up another game here. Let's start up another game. Again, Hall of Fame legendary pinball artist Greg Ferrer joins us tonight to stream Elvira's House of Horrors. Greg was the man behind the action here of the art and concepts with Dennis Nordman for all three of the Elvira pinball machines, including this latest edition House of Horrors. And House of Horrors, it's on the line. It's being sold. I mean, you can go out to the distributor and pick them up right now. Absolutely. Absolutely. In your guesstimation, how much time will pass before we can start looking forward to the fourth installment of the Elvira Sanger? You think this is it? You think we might see another one at some point? Another 30 years. Oh, my gosh. It'll be a different dynamic another 30 years from now. No. I think we're done. Are you done? I am. I said that two kids ago, and I've got two more. That's a little different. It is a little different. I'm obsessed with from Lake Zurich. Nice. Local. Twin Mice, if I heard correct, Cassandra said a few years back that she was never going to dress up like Elvira anymore. How did you get her to do it again? To record? Because that was true. She did say that she was no longer going to make public appearances. Well, yeah. And she doesn't. I mean, every once in a while. I think she was in Florida for some kind of show down there. And she did dress up for that. Dressed apart? Some horror con of some kind. Sure. But she dressed up for that show. So she did not dress up for Expo. Right. So it is part of her thing now where she limits the number of times she puts the gear on. It was nice. I actually enjoyed it because I'm still used to seeing her in, you know, full costume. Yeah, Spooky Empire. There it is. You got it. Okay. Yeah, it was nice seeing her just as, like, a civilian. Like, she's beautiful. It was refreshing. I got my glamour shot with her at Expo. Yeah, you did. I was excited. That was amazing. You were the first person I texted with that, by the way. I was like, look what I got, Greg. It was wonderful. All right. Players 2. Greg Ferrer is art director and designer at Stern Pinball. Is player 2 tonight at Elvira's House of Horse? Hey, 2. Woo. Good times. So what else is going on? Anybody here has went in on an Elvira yet? And is anybody on the fence? Tell you what. I'm on the fence. I'm looking up here. You're on the fence, huh? I'm really considering selling a few of my older BW games and getting into some newer stuff, and I'm really digging up Lyra. Switching the value. Yeah, man. Yeah. That's good. The pinball moments in this pin. And I'll continue to say it. It's fun, and you're only a few shots away from something else fun happening in the game. Welcome back. And that's what kind of keeps me in. All right, let's see if I can get a ball that lasts longer than 30 seconds. Too floaty for Greg. Yeah, I'll let somebody else win this game. Thank you. Did I win the last game? I believe you did. No, you kicked some butt last game. Yeah, we don't care about who wins. It's all about Monday night. I don't know. Monday night pinball. On the fence between JP and Elvira. We'll get off that fence. Get off that fence. I mean, there's literally a fence on JP, so. Thank you. Thank you, Outer Spacey Tracy. I'm happy with the way the art turned out, my stuff. Oh, it's beautiful. The whole package. It's awesome. That's what we do, the whole package. You guys do the whole package. Very important. So whose idea was it? I don't know if you guys covered this when I was shooting up there. Whose idea was it for Alvira 3? I think Dennis first put the word out to Pinside, actually. Really? Years ago. Dennis was kind of toying with the idea. Yeah, just putting the feelers out there. Maybe gauging interest a little bit. Anybody interested? Sure. I think we got a good enough response from that that there possibly could be another version of it. Wow. So, yeah, I think Dennis started that one. Very cool. Yeah. And so what do you want to Elvira once you guys decided kind of to pursue that right was she on board immediately? Which oh, yeah, let's do it. Yep. Number three done totally very cool very much. So yeah, very cool She was at trying to remember how long she actually waited to sign everybody's Material and then actually take pictures at Expo had to be hours. Yeah I got in at the tail end of that line, and I think it was like a couple hours after she had started. Yep. And there were people behind me at that point, too. Oh, yeah. Yeah, and she's very good with everybody that comes up there. You know, nobody is dismissed. Everybody is like, you know, she welcomes them like, you know, you've known her forever. Oh, really? That's cool. Oh. I thought I was getting treatment. You just ruined my ex-loves here. I'm sorry. No, no, she was. You're right, though. I mean, she never, because I'm a people watcher or a person watcher, and she never looks slighted or fatigued or annoyed. I guess that's a pretty good term. What do we have to blame about what? Whose idea was it for that little diverter when it comes from the left? That house? That's a good question. That's a good question. I'm not sure. What diverter are we talking about? The left of what? Probably the diverter behind the house. The house, yeah. In the house, yeah. Good times. My turn? Yeah, guys, we're going to have to start blowing this game up. I think I need a beer. What do you need? I can reach. How about a little Make American Juicy again? Doc, round 85, lots of sterns. Have that diverter. Metallica comes to mind. And Iron Maiden has a bunch. Phew. Pirate Cat and Red Eye. I don't know if I saw their turnout, but thank you so much for the 1,000 bits. That's awesome. Oh, this one's playing brutal. Yeah, you can see why we have it playing a little floaty. All right. All right. Oh, man. Nice save. Yeah, Doc Brown, 85. That diverter was in Iron Maiden. For sure. I'm going to space these trees, he says. Rebecca, a Chicago belle, wooed her way to the front of the line with that Elvira Bride of Pinball outfit. Oh, nice. I must have missed that. I did miss that. Was that on Friday night? Because Elvira was doing the Friday night and the Saturday night, right? Right. How about that? It had to have been Friday night. That's awesome, though. What do you think? Somebody's got to take time. Take time to hurl. What do you think about that, Greg? You want to steepen the game a little bit, or do we make it a little more floaty for you? Whatever you guys want to do. It's your show. No, it's our show. And you are the honorary guest. That just seems like a lot of work, so I'd say no, we're just going to leave it. I can't get anything going. No. Yeah. It's a good thing it's game two. All right. It's playing tough. It's all ball three now. This is, I mean, I guess just like any machine, it takes one ball to really hit the score. But on ball three on this pin, it's nice because normally you've progressed enough through the house to where a lot more exciting things are opening themselves up on ball three. To get the extra ball lit, I think it's completing two of the haunts, right? We'll light the extra ball. And I think if you complete two more, it lights again. Completing the haunts are completely difficult, but it's not easy. I mean, it's a pretty well-executed, well-balanced rule set. Greg, do you have a good-sized pinball collection? Not really. I used to. I sold a lot of games at one point. Yeah, right. I still have both Elviras. I have a Wonelly. And I'll soon have a House of Horrors. Nice. And I also have an EM game in the works that's getting made pretty and worked on right now. Locally restored? Yep. Yes. Can I ask you, is it too personal to ask you as the artist, Like what edition of the pin you decided you wanted to have for your own, or do you prefer to keep that private? I'll probably get a premium. Premium? Yeah. Very good. You know, it's kind of like, you know, let the guests eat first, you know. Sure. Family is always last. Yeah. So, you know, if people want LEs, you know, come and get them. Yeah. That makes sense. It's only fair. Yeah. So will you have anything specialized for your specific? I know sometimes Stern will have some fun with some plaques. Will you have like the artist edition or something? We'll have to see. I'd like it. Maybe. I haven't even gotten there yet. Will you sign your own trans light and put it up there? I'm just thinking. I will not sign my own. You know a guy. All right. Let's see. Oh, see? It hurts when you get some songs going and then you drain. Oh, he finished. Yeah, he finished. Which of the movies in the pin, Greg, is the most guilty pleasure for you? Bad movie, but you love it anyways. I think my favorite is The Brain That Wouldn't Die. Yeah? I don't know. It's just interesting and very wrong in many ways. I'm starting to look forward to seeing some of the clips over and over. Yeah. What I was saying earlier, you really need to go back now and actually sit down and watch a movie. Watch these movies. Yeah. And get the full brunt of it. Yeah. And then play the game. Appreciate it. Yeah. For more, for what they are. I love it. Santa Claus Conquers the Martians is great, says Doc Brown. What's the one? It's like the Western. It looks like the Western, which is like, oh, this is the worst movie ever. It haunts me. Oh, is that the one where the guy's like, I watched this house when the master's away. And then the picture, she's like, it looks so sinister. But just to put those in the movies, that'd be great to do now. Oh, man, I just had a lot of fun in it last fall. I'm going to ask her if I can, because I want to make a neon sign. out of something that's on that display. And it's that little drive me crazy with the palm trees and the road. I want to make a Neon sign out of that. And since the artist is here, unless maybe that's Chuck Ernst's apartment because he was the editor of Graphics. Wild Woman Multiball. No, I'm not allowed to get Wild Woman anything in the house. Exactly. Zach from the House St. Greg, it must be fun and trying at times working with fellow artists. How does it differ leading young artists now versus 10 years ago? I'll answer that for Greg. No, I'm kidding. I don't know. We will ask. Screw those young guys. We will ask Mr. Ferrer when he comes back. Cheers, by the way. Yeah, cheers, buddy. So it was a good stream and a good time. Cheers, chat. Cheers, Zach. Thanks for having us, man. Thank you, Zach. We love it. Crano 861 loves the game. watch the Mystery Science Theater version of the Atomic Brain Saturday. Now, that's cool to watch the Mystery Science versions of these things. So how long are these movies? Are they maybe probably 60 minutes? I would guess. That's what I was thinking. At least a lot of these were edited up to fit within a time restraint of her show. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't know. So 26 movies. Night of the Living Dead was like a motion picture, I think, at one time, right? So maybe that's like an hour and a half. Yep, yep. So I guess it varies. Again, if anybody's looking for one of these, want to open this game up, man. Flip it up, pinball. Yeah, I don't know what it is. I got to relax a little bit tonight. I haven't seen the turret spin on top of the house yet. Pinball obsessed? I hate to be the bad influence. Join us. They're coming for you, Bob, bro. They're coming for you, Bob. Here's pinball upset. Jackpot! Jackpot! Now, this is Tim Kritskow, and he is the voice actor for Skirk Stiff. Actually, he's also the guy in video games to NBA Jam. He's on fire. He's heating up. Jackpot! That's all Tim Kritskow. Yeah, that's legendary. Bob Ross. Yeah, great stuff. That's what I was saying, man. He can flip. Manos is beyond terrible. Is that what it is? Crown of 861 Manos? It looks so sinister. Is that the one? I think so. It looked like a western. Yeah. It's like, oh, this movie haunts me for life. I think that's it. Basically, maybe it's the worst movie she ever made or whatever. Well, you know what? That's already kind of my take on it. When you're playing the game, you're not watching the clips as they're going by. I know. So this is actually a really fun game to watch somebody else play. Like right now. Yeah, let's go out on the most ball. I know. Hey, good ball. Yeah. You're getting some props on your flipper skills in chat here. People are liking your flipper skill. It's as if you work for a pinball company. Replay. Nice job. A little competition over here. Was that ball three? Yes, it was. Oh, man. As I tell people, if I was in a tournament with nothing but pinball artists, I think I'd win. Nothing but pinball artists. You need to host your own tournament, pinball artists only. That's right. A hundred bucks, winner takes all. Greg, do you miss working on non-licensed pins since they are less and less nowadays? Yeah, those were the good old days, right? I mean, you've got to know, and everybody does, that licenses bring a certain amount of initial knowledge to the game right away. We know what that is when it's a license nine times out of ten. and going back to the days when we could do our own themes. Yeah, I do miss those days. I had a lot of fun working on Fathom and Dr. Dude and Party Zone and all that stuff. It's a lot more fun, but it's a lot of work too because you're starting from ground zero. So it's like you've got to come up with everything where a license at least affords you a starting point. Sure. I'll tell you, I enjoyed Elvira's House of Horrors up until tonight, Greg. Up until that last ball. Convinced myself not to go in. See Bobby. Hey, see Bobby, what's up? Yeah, I'm getting crushed on Elvira. I don't know what it is. I'm usually in the flow of this game, and I've had six bad balls. But, hey, I can correct this in the next at-bat here. So let's get another. You got time for another game here? We'll go another game. Let's pause real quick for station identification on the Flip N Out Pinball Streaming Network. I'm pretty sure that's what I needed to kind of reset the mechanism here. So let's go ahead and knock it off. What do you say, Steve? Here we go. All right, here we go. Somebody, I think it was Twin Mice, said something about the colors and the lighting. Thank you. I appreciate the positive comments. We worked well, not Dennis, but Lyman, you know, is all about light shows and doing great things with lighting. So, you know, when we first saw that house lighting up with the different colors, you know, it was just amazing to see, you know. The house is very impressive when you see how the light show interacts with the house. Yeah. I love the fact that the windows are lighting up to signify that you're in modes. You've got little silhouettes in some of the windows. So it's like you've got a little miniature house in the play field. And the ramp is interesting, too, because you kind of have the skull that kind of illuminates through the decal at times. But then you've got, like, soft projection of the RGB lighting that kind of hits the ramp at a different angle, too. It's very cryptic looking. I do like it. That's good. I saw somebody put trees on their. Oh, really? And, like, you know, trees without leaves. And it looks awesome. That does look pretty good. Yeah. You get a little uplighting going. You get a shadow effect on there? Hey, there we go. Man, so much more use of the text on the play field with this game. Like a throwback Belly Williams days makes it easier for new players to learn the rules. I appreciate that, too, especially on the inserts to see all that. It looks pretty awesome. All right. All right, are you ready to blow it up? Player two? Yeah. Replicant X, thank you so much for the 500 bits. We do appreciate that. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Stern makes it harder and harder and harder to decide which damn game to buy. I know. What is going on? That left out lane finally bit me. You know what happens is when you don't have the games set up as steep, you get a lot more east and west action. Side to side. Which prones you to your out lane drains. whereas by making the pinball steeper, and I'm sure a lot of you know this, you kind of cut down that side-to-side action so your outlane drains aren't as prominent, and it also kind of allows you to trap up a lot easier. So floaty isn't necessarily easier. No, not by any means. For me, this is... Hey, Joel Reeves is here. What's up, buddy? What up, Joel Reeves? How are you, Joel? Woo! All right, this is where I make my move, Greg. This is where I make my move. His 20-second move to the pinball machine and his 10-second walk back. You're free. You're next. Replica axed. Yeah, buddy. All right, so Joel Reeves asks, Hi, Joel. How long did it take to talk Stern into making Elvira 3? I don't know if it was talking into, But, you know, we definitely bantered it around for a while. I mean, I started in 2012. I can't remember when Dennis put that, you know, message on Pinside. But it's, you know, we talked about it for at least a couple years before they started thinking about going after it as a license. Gotcha. So when Cassandra announced that at TPF in, I think it was 2018, right? 2018, 2017? Or 17, yeah. How far along were you guys in the process? Or was it still just like a concept? No, I think by that time we might have had at least a first light wood, if I remember right. Oh, so you had a light wood, all right. I think. I can't quite remember. Close to it. Yeah, yeah. Somewhere around there, though. interesting hey Zack says looky jeep see Bobby says hey so I really like the the skill shot on this game it's one of the most difficult skill shots back there Yeah, the back door. I don't know what it is. We actually termed it an unskilled shot because we weren't sure just, you know, how it was going to play out. It's difficult. Because, you know, Whitewoods played differently than screenplay. Oh, I'm sure. Yeah, yeah. Or printed play field. It's very satisfying when you get that back door shot. Hey, you're winning. I know. I got a small lead I predict a 100 million point game out of one of us this game alright this game? oh yeah this game I think we're getting in the groove how much of the art gets created before the final playfield layout is that process parallel or does it come before the others it really depends on the game in this particular game I think we had a pretty good idea of the layout. And then it's a matter of tying the art into how many inserts we're going to need for the amount of rules. So this was interesting because we started with, you know, that center area with the, you know, the crypt cleaner and the bee restaurator. So that was kind of the anchor of the play field art. And then we just kind of built from there. And, you know, we laid out inserts. And it was imperative for Lyman that we have jackpot lights on this game. He really wanted that throwback feel to the 90s of having a dedicated jackpot light. So, you know, we just got the inserts laid out. And then we started designing, you know, the rules to the insert layout. So this makes sense. So, yeah. So for you aspiring pinball designers out there, a little inside information on the day-by-day process. Yep. From idea to fruition. But art is always changing. Yeah. As you progress. Very cool. Very cool. Sambuca says, thank you, Greg. He says you're welcome. Wookie G's here. What's up? What up? Can I say hello to Zach? Oh, right. I'd also like to say hello to him. I'm already ready. If you can do eat, good times. Nice. Again, player two is up, and this is this one. Is this the one you're talking about? I'm haunted by one of the worst movies ever made. Yes, the Western one, right? Yes, yes. See, I'm haunted by one of the worst movies ever made. It's great when you hit the shots on this, too. It's like... Yeah, it's great. It is awesome. Oh, wow. Okay, so the 100 mil is getting further and further away here for us, Greg. I'm going the opposite direction. It started stronger. I had an okay first ball. That could have led me to some better scoring. But what are you going to do? You're right. That garage door. Get that multiball going, and you're going to get something out of it. Yeah. Twin Mice. There's some new stuff going on. Hey, cheers, Twin Mice. Thanks, buddy. You got a little right out lane going, huh? Yeah, well, you know what's tough, Greg, is the... We have the outlanes all the way open on this premium. Do they ship like that from Stern, or did somebody just have some good times with me? Because it's all the way up. But I know somebody that had an earlier one, and it was in the middle. Yeah. I think we made them change that. Okay, so a little more difficult. Yeah. because a lot of games get routed. Sure, sure. You know, you want the game to do well on the street. I get it. It's got to make the money. Can you guys add up the scores for $100 million? Maybe. Do you know, without, all right, never mind. I'm going to talk to you on something really quick. Actually, if you read that bottom message, see if you do know that number. Do you have any idea? On this game? Yeah. I mean, don't say it, but just wondering if you happen to know. That's okay. I think. I think I know that. All right. Well, because he's considering a contest. He's got a banner to give away. I already gave it away. Did anybody hear that? With my big mouth. Sorry. No, that's okay. No, I don't think you did. Oh. Anyways, you're up, though. Oh. And you are about 98 and change away from that 100 million point score. Greg, do you think this will be as deep as Batman once Batman is done? Sure. Ah, there you go. There you go, guys. Chuck says there's tons of assets, tons of video for this game. You can remember, so last week, Chuck Ernst, who's the computer graphics art director at Stern. Good times. Good times with Chuck. Said that Elvira's House of Horrors has 4,000 clips at its disposal, whereas Batman 66 had 1,500. 1,500. Hey, nicely done. You love the back door. Welcome to the truck. Hang here. Nice. Yeah, maybe we should do a combined 100 millionth score. That's not a bad idea, C.J.C. Hand. I felt it for like a couple balls, and now it's just going down. This is the other thing that throws me off. When I'm playing the game by myself, I'm taking consecutive turns. So when I go up and I have a bad first ball, and I come back and I'm in a conversation, and I'm mad about the ball draining, and then I go back up. It's like I'm going up to the machine cold. This is why I can never do competitive pinball. Every ball you go up to is almost your first ball. It's like ball one. Ball one of the name. You know what? Oh, dude. All right. I'm sorry, Chris Chandler. I did not even know, buddy. My bad. My bad, bud. Chris Chandler's the newest addition to Special Win Lit Pinball Podcast. as our official D3 correspondent. That's okay. Chris J. Chandler. Makes sense to me. Oh, Chris J. Chandler. I got you. Player three, you're next. D3. All right, so Ken's got... What's that? What's the head slow? Yeah, you got that skill shot. Nice. Yeah, twice in one night. Yeah. Yeah. All right, so they're saying, Chris Chandler is saying, CJ Chand is saying maybe you guys should just go for the 100 million combined points tonight. Maybe that will get there. Maybe that will be our new target goal. Wild Women Multiball! Woo-hoo! Here he goes. Here he goes, ladies and gentlemen. All right, so the animations on this particular multiball, I think, are just hilarious. Well, and so is the movie. So is the movie called Wild Woman? Yes. Okay. Wild Women of Wongo. Wild Women of Wongo. Okay. This might be one I... Maybe I'll start with this one. My wife will come in and be like, what are you watching? I think that's why they made the movie. That's great, though. Look at this. 60 years later, people will be watching it. Yeah. Streaming it, whatever. 2019, it made it into a pinball machine. Who would have thought? Yeah, and the dialogue is stellar. I can only imagine. We left a lot of that out. I can only imagine. All right. Let me set myself a text. Quite a limit of what? Longer? Greg, will we see Yeti return soon? Why, sure. Why sure, alright We love the Yeti The Yeti Put a two by four under the back Under the back legs I think I think I've seen that done in Ken's basement He has a dip He has a dip in his floor Maybe a one by one Hey Hey, welcome back, Ken. That looks better. All right, let's go. All right. Want to go another one? So I think we all evened out there pretty well. Yeah, I think we averaged all of our scores from each game. We're about even. Let's do a challenge here. We need to do a combined score of 100 million. 100 million, all right. And if we don't, then we all have to do shots of... Maybe she talks about the Malort punishment show. Yeah, right. So we all have to chug a silver bullet. I like how Greg, you came to silver bullet to me. Yeah, I am. He's supporting the cause. That's right. Twin Mike. Twin Mike, thank you. Thank you. Very, very nice. All right. We really appreciate it. What does that even mean? So a bit is like virtual currency that can then be turned in by the streamer for physical currency. So, like, 1,000 bits would be equivalent to about $10. Okay. So it's like a penny per bit. So, yeah, it helps us keep the Coors Light in the house, I guess. But in all seriousness, all the money that comes in through the stream, we put back into, like, the equipment and whatnot. So it helps us with our upkeep and adding different things. It all goes back into the stream. Nobody's eating dinner on anybody's bits. I promise you that. We're putting it all back in. What your high score in this game About 150 million Okay that about where I at too Right in there. How are these guys playing it at work? I mean, is Keith now in up like 2 billion points on this thing? Or like, what's going on? You know, I haven't seen Keith play it. I know he's still busy, you know, tweaking Jurassic and getting that, you know, to a point. That's a really fun game, too. It is. It is. Jurassic Park. Yep. Yeah, he's getting that finessed. It's interesting because when we talk about, like, making changes to the game, and I'll let you take your shot, once the artwork is on the pen, there's no artwork update. So, I mean, it's, right? So, I mean, there's like a sense of finality when it's released. It's kind of locked in, yeah. That's kind of locked in. Absolutely. Greg, what was your favorite Bally Williams game? Probably Medieval Madness. Nice. Ah, really? You've got Mr. Brian Eddy working over at 30. I mean, scared stiff, of course. We're all that, but, you know, right up there. Right. Who's your favorite kid that's not your own? Garrett. I got you. Medieval Madness. Well, sorry, guys. Not helping much here for the 100 mil. Do you own a Medieval Madness, Greg? I did. You did? Wasn't that special. Oh, my God. I'm sorry. What did you do? I'll do what I can do next. Next boss. Greg goes up and he's like, oh, my God. He's like, he's knocking on him. That was the classic response. When I watched it, I was like, oh, no. He's like, oh, my God. Going downhill. He's like, what are you doing? Steve, come on. Replica X has a medieval madness pre-ordered. Awesome. It'll be his first personal new inbox. Very cool. Thanks, man. Congrats. Oh, my God. Wait, who's got the height? I can't see the score. Let's adjust that to a combined 10 million points. You've got to be beat a little bit. See, we put a number on it. It's because I said that. I asked how you. We put a number on it. Oh, my God. Ken's got to get. The game's haunted. Ken's got to get 90 mil. That's all good. Let's just get five each. The game is haunted. Seriously. It is. I was having trouble just hitting that center ramp, which is... I'm usually pretty confident in that shot. Do you guys solely focus on the games that each artist is working individually, or is there some cross-collaboration going on, as Stern always has multiple titles in development? It's a team thing. So whatever team is working on whatever, it kind of stays focused to the team. I, as an art director, will have some amount of input to whoever might be doing the artwork if needed. I definitely don't step on people. You get into a time crunch. Is that kind of when you might step in and help a little bit more? A little bit more, yeah. And just, you know, making sure that everything's going to print well and that kind of thing. I oversee that. But, yeah, everybody has their opinions. I always say, you know, at any company you work at, it's not just one art director. It's more like 15. Yeah, and not everybody's going to agree, I'm sure. Yep. Good question, San Diego. All right, let's get this thing. All right, we need to pull some weight here. Not the best start, guys, but that's okay. What are we trying to hit, 100 million? Combined, 100 million. Combined? I mean, we each put up 150 million point scores, so I think between the three of us, we should be able to contribute 33.3 million points. Nice shot. Nice shot. Unskilled but nice. It's awesome. Do you have a favorite mode in this game yet or a favorite moment of the game? I mean, I know what mine is so far. I like, I haven't gotten to house party enough. So for me, that's like still like this goal that's out there. Mine too. And that's my moment. That's so great. It's like a mini wizard mode to me almost. Right. I mean, is that considered a mini wizard mode, or do you think it's just kind of like a... Yes, definitely. Okay. It's a wizard mode for, you know, a more average player, I would say. Which gives you a great sense of accomplishment. And that was key. Lyman wanted to make sure that some elements of Scared Stiff, where a lot of people feel like, well, Scared Stiff isn't deep enough. But a lot of people, a lot of players could feel, ooh, I really accomplished a lot. That's true. So he wanted to keep that vibe as much as possible on this. And I think he succeeded pretty well so far. Yeah, no, it's perfect. All right, you got about 20 million, 30 million points in you right here? Okay. Let's see it. It's going to happen. I know it's going to happen. I've got confidence. See, I'm going to predict that Greg walks away after this ball with 22 million points. I think he's been holding back a little bit. Let's see what he can do here. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Flip N Out Pinball Play-By-Play. My name is Ken Cromwell. And with me today is Steve Eady, who went to the bathroom. Let's see if Greg Freres can put up another 20 million points on this game as they're looking to get a combined score of 100 million points. it's brutal tonight i don't understand it i was getting into my play-by-play for you hey jobber what's up christopher it was a good effort yeah no effort i'm coming in hard now let's go oh ken's coming in hard watch out Good try, Greg. Thank you. You know, we put that pressure on ourselves. I really feel like I started out so strong for my level. Tonight? Yeah. No, very much so. Same here. I'm going down since. Down, down, down, down. But we need another pause for station identification and reset here. Sorry. No, I don't have the control over there. I mean, if you want to hit a button, you might. Greg, did you watch a lot of new footage to influence your art on this machine, or did you base it on what you already knew? A lot of new footage. I assume that means from the movies. All 26. Yeah, I did watch all 26 films multiple times, and so did Lyman. Dennis, not so much. But once I saw what films were available to us, that kind of started me in the direction I was going to go with the back glass. So I wanted to, yeah, go for it. Do it. Get to the super jackpots. Super jacks. After watching the movies, that led me to start the sketch for the Backglass, which I tried to incorporate as many of the films into the Backglass as I could. Very cool. Without getting too crazy. and then from there, you know, the play field from there, which is more about the gameplay and the rules of the game. But, yeah, I did sit down and watch every one of those movies and took many notes, and, yeah, it was fun. And you did the cabinet art, too, correct? Oh, yeah. Cabin and artist. I love that cabin and artist. The big spiral. Yeah. Yeah, it was, I wanted to do a throwback because, you know, she's kind of from the 80s and 90s. So I kind of wanted to have that big logo feel just kind of in your face. And, of course, the LE, I went a little bit further and put her on the couch. Yep. But, you know, that was important to me, too, to make sure that the LE was, you know, worthy of, you know. It's going to stand out a little bit. Nice looking package. Great package. I like how your play field colors. It starts with the red, into the purple, into the blue. It's just really nice looking. That doesn't all happen all at one time either. I try different variations and add different elements and all that kind of good stuff. So it's kind of a process. Ouch. Hey, that was a lot better. All right. What are you on? Was that ball three? Okay. Ball three, right? Yeah. All right. So we got 22. Great. You've got to pull your weight here, man. We got two. Ken's taking us. Good thing there's no more pin quests this night. I was like, oh. All right. And I don't even have a million. Wait, how did that happen? No. How did that happen? Is it possible to have two balls without a million? Well, it is now. That's great. I don't know. I don't remember your last ball. I was already kind of thinking about what I wanted to do on mine. I didn't play two balls, I'll tell you that. That's what she said. How much does Greg love Torgo? Sargo is the, yeah, that is truly one of the worst films ever made. Ever made. But it has a lot of charm when you really watch it more than three times. You had to do that for this, too. You find the charm in it, you know. Westby 14, Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas. Absolutely. Absolutely. See, Bobby's giving me some props on my... In all fairness, it's not a very good ball, actually, in Scared Stiff. I keep saying Scared Stiff. I've been referring to this as Scared Stiff for months. I can't break the habit of talking about Scared Stiff. Of Elvira's House of Wars. Greg, how long have you and Dennis been friends? As twin mice. Well, we started working together probably in 82. The first thing we sort of collaborated on was Party Animal. I had suggested to another game designer that we could do a game called Party Animal, and he didn't buy it, so Dennis thought it was a great idea, and he went for it. I didn't get to do the artwork, but that's okay. Party Animal and Dr. Dude are like, would you consider those like sister games, right? Oh, yeah. Party Zone, Party Animal, Party Dude, Party Monsters. I mean, hey, it's all one big party, right? That's right. That's awesome, dude. We squeezed the party into this one, too. We were talking about this earlier, and this game feels like a party in a box. There's so many different transitions of fun things going on, and you're only a few shots away from starting the next fun thing in the pinball machine. Sure. And I just love that. That's why it's even more, like even right now, listen to this. There we go. Turn this up. Oh. Oh, never mind. There we go. All right. I was going to say, that's what's even more disappointing in a ball when you drain is you ruin your good moment. 22-13. Wow. I got it. What the hell happened? All right. All right, let's go. It's a roller coaster. We got to work with that. West B-14 is looking forward to getting the topper. Have you seen the, well, I'm sure you've seen the topper. Is it a nice topper? I have seen the topper. Is it $750 nice, Greg? It's not going to be that much. It's like, oh, it's not going to be that much. 7.25. It's fun but frustrating right now. Fogren's here. Party game collection. What up, Dave? I'm in the same boat as Greg, though. I think we both started out a little better than we're playing now. You started out better? Yeah. Playing-wise. Point-wise. So you... It's all good, though. You peaked on the first game, huh? Yeah. Actually, I don't think I broke 30 mil. If you know me, though, usually the last game of the night for me is my best one. It is. So... All right, let's go. I had a plan and the plan failed, he says. The plan was to not drain. Right. That is low score to date. No, I think that's the lowest score I've ever scored on this game. I probably have. As you can see, we're very casual players. We're not necessarily blowing these games up. Let's check it out. You know, we want to save some stuff for people who are going to buy this game and enjoy it and see the game. You're right. No, you don't want to give it all. You don't want to see it all. The cool thing about Manos, going back to Manos, is they film the movie without sound, and then they bring the actors in later to overdub. So they actually say their lines on set, but they're not recording those lines to save money. literally. And then they come back in. And a lot of those B-movies were done that way back in the day. I think Teenagers from Outer Space also has that vibe to it. So Manos, is that the one she's referring to? Is that not the wild woman? No, Manos is Hands of Fate. Okay. Yeah. So I'm going to start with those two. Ken told me he's the best player in the world. I mean, he is. He's the best player in the room right now. And this is Ken's world. We're in Studio C, man. There we go. Killing those zombies. Nice. There we go. Oh, look at that. All right. Get down in the cellar. Hey, had a zombie multiball. Man, zombies are everywhere, literally. Go, Ken. Go, Ken. Haunted myth. Haunted myth. I'm glad we can help him. Nice. All right. We have a ball save there. Yes, we do. He's rocking it now. No stopping him. Ball save. Looking good. Oh, oh. What are we doing there? What are we doing there? Whoop, whoop. Yeah, but you got an extra ball. Winky Geep says, Steve, you've been selling quite a few machines lately. Yeah, man, I've unfortunately had to unload some stuff. I'm in on a Medieval Madness remake. This Week in Pinball, hello. Hey, Jeff from This Week in Pinball, what's up, man? But also, I'm considering selling a few more to possibly pick up an Elvira because I am really digging it. What? All right. Party! I haven't seen this yet. Nice. Nice. Look at those animations. That's awesome, man. It's a literal house party. That's great. It's a literal house party. Wow. Nice. I need to do that. All right. Catch it up in chat here. Bonsai, are we going on the block? No, not yet. Rebel Guitars, hey! Hey, Jeff. What's up, Wes? Oh, shit. Jack says, such a great pinball moment. It is. Ah, man, I've been looking forward to that, and it was freaking awesome. Jeff from This Week in Pinball says, Of all the people in the industry, I've heard more good things about Greg Ferreris than anyone else, but have never met you. And that's why I say, oh, shucks. Thank you. Appreciate that. Well, we'll have to meet sometime. You guys need to get together. Jeff's a good guy. Greg's a great guy. I'm sure your paths will cross. Yes. Got a match? Nice game? Hi. Yeah, Ken, nice ball. Did he get a star? 60. 60 and a half. You got time for one more game? That was a valiant effort. I appreciate it. Evidently, it takes me three beers to relax. It is what it is. It's like golf, too, right? Yeah. Golf, I'm never relaxed. Or I'm too relaxed. Oh, Rebel Guitars. What's up? Wes is here. How are you, buddy? Wes in the home. I was going to wear my Rebel Guitars shirt tonight, and I did not get to. I'm wearing it so frequently it's always in the wash. Another one of my new faves. Absolutely. What have we got tonight? Well, I mean, do you want to do one more game and then we'll do a quick after hours? Or what do you want to do? What do you want to do? I'm ready for another game. I've got to redeem myself here. I agree. I say we don't stop playing until we get a combined square of 100. All right, I'm starting it. We're doing it. Now, that being said, Greg, if I want to keep you here longer, I might intentionally play bad. Right. In which case, you have to fend for yourself to get out of the studio seat. Okay, so you were logged in under Wes14. I got you, buddy. This week in pinball, Jeff Patterson subscribed at Tier 1. They've subscribed for six months, currently on a six-month streak. Jeff, thank you so much, buddy. I appreciate that. Good having you back. So Wes Bentley. Have you met Wes Bentley? You may have met him. Maybe. Owner of Rebel Guitars. super nice guy. I got a chance to really spend some time with him at Expo this past year. We went out, grabbed a dinner with some pinball guys and super nice guy. Nice. He actually, now his guitar or his guitar company shirt was also designed by Brian Holderman. Oh, wow. So Holderman's got like a hold on the hobby, so to speak. He's got artwork all over the place. It's good stuff. It is good stuff. All right. Are you ready? Another one, just like last time. Are you ready? Here we go. I know. Greg, you got it. I know. See you, Lord Helmet. Thanks for stopping in. Lord Helmet, for those of you just joining chat, stepping up to the end, player two is Hall of Fame legendary pinball artist, Mr. Greg Freres, and he is head of the art department at Stern Pinball, and he's done the artwork on over 30 pinball machines, including all three Elvira installments in the pinball series. Elvira and the Party Monsters, Elvira Scared Sif, in Elvira House of Horrors. And as Chad has seen tonight, Greg has got some flipper skills. Very much so. Now, the score hasn't correlated to his ability. No, but in the beginning, I'm going to take some notes here. Right, exactly, exactly. You know what happens? It happens. I'm on in that pinball. Performance anxiety. Ken will blow it up once a night, and that's about it. It's the equivalent of the pinball streaming Viagra, in which if you're experiencing performance anxiety while playing, it's something that kind of sets the tone for your evening with your ability to play. So, for me, that's three beers. Alcohol, yeah. All right. Press. Player three, you're next. All right. All right. Ooh, you're in the mills. That's good. We're getting there. Pinball blue, too. Well, I never promised anybody I was a good pinball player, so that's a good thing. Nor did we. Just shoot anything! Just shoot anything! That's what it should say for us at all times. I'm laughing because there's so many lines that I haven't heard yet. Every time I walk up to this game, that one's fresh to me. There's new, yeah. All right. Wow, I get to do this by myself. No, I mean, you could drive. You could drive. Player one, you're up. What do we got? I got 778. You have two point something. Ken has one point something. That's what I can see from here. Well. All right. 100 mil is looking pretty far out there. What do you think? All we need is a good ball. Yeah, one good ball. And another bear. I'll get you on my way up to ball two. Thank you. You're welcome. Thank you so much. All right, Greg, grab that train. What's the toughest game you've played through all the years, and what's your preference, mode or points-based games? Oh, I see. Preference, mode or points-based games. Okay. So, toughest game played through all the years. Well, Fathom, one that I've worked on, that's a mean game. a lot of those early valley, the early 80s valley, the class of 81 I guess it's called, something like that class of 1812? no, oh just the actual class of 81, like early system 11? those wouldn't even be serviceable prior to that you tilted he does that at least once But, yeah, a fathom-tough game. A Frontier is actually a very tough game. All those games were tough to play. But in mode, I think I prefer mode over points-based games. I also do. Yeah. But, I mean, we designed, you know, Woe Nelly, so that's kind of a points-based game. Well, it's hard to focus on modes when you're looking at Melanie Mellons, though. Adam. Just saying. Good times. I'm going to adjust something here real quick. So check this out, Steve. Oh. Like you can go crazy. I like that. But you're right. So Ken's adjusting our chat font size. Yeah, so for weeks and weeks and months and months. You've been squinting. And when we're looking at the Studio app, it's a little bit different than what you see on your screen or on your phone or on your tablet. Yep. Our chat window, where it takes up half the screen, the font is so small. Yep, yep. It makes it, like, not very pleasurable to try to read. And I just found out that there's a setting to increase the size. Now, for those of you that stream and may or may not know this, when you're in Streamlabs OBS, You go to your lower left-hand side in the lower left-hand corner, and there's a cog under settings. You would hit that, and then you would go to Appearance, and then there's a slider which adjusts your chat size, which I think is pretty awesome. Dr. John, it's not that I'm getting old. I have 20-20 vision. It just sucks. Too small to see the stuff. Yeah. Even this is at 125%. Seeing a lot of Streamlabs comments. That's right. So Streamlabs is moderating our channel tonight, and it'll periodically keep you up to date as to what's going on. So that's actually initiated by us. One winning moment. Oh, hey. Great. Now, Streamlabs comments. Yes, it's AI. We got from Skynet. It's good times. You have to set all that up. But being the Twitch whiz that I am. This is the first movie I'm going to watch, by the way. Elvira? Yeah, the wild woman. Wild woman? Just looks classic. I also have it set up to ban people from chat. Greg's getting in his own. Look at him go. Now Greg utilizes his middle finger for his flipper depressions. Oh, very interesting. What's your favorite mode-based game? I never thought of it that way. I don't know. That's a great question. Need the help on a Vyra movie viewing. Do you have a favorite mode-based game? I mean, a lot of games are mode-based. Like, Twilight Zone would be mode-based. Well, Twilight Zone is one of my favorites. Judge Dredd is one of my earlier first pins. I remember really enjoying that. We're talking about our favorite mode-based games. Yeah, I mean, that kind of just splits the pinball in half. It's either mode-based or non-mode-based, right? Most earlier games are mode-based. Oh, coming up short. Back door. Indiana Jones. Greg, do you have a favorite mode-based game? I mean, what's the daddy of all mode-based games? Kind of Adam Stanley, right? I wouldn't disagree with that. Okay. I mean, that's up there. Is Medieval Madness considered a mode-based game? I mean, I think almost all of those 90s Bally Williams can kind of be considered mode-based games. What you drinking, baby? I got a homemade craft White Claw. Shut it down. All right. First, what do you think about Ferris' future spa art? It's interesting. Paul Faris in general had a lot of interesting art. Yeah. He did Paragon, didn't he? Lost World and Paragon are amazing, nice pieces. I started in 78, so I was working for Paul, working with Kevin O'Connor and Christensen. so it was an amazing place to be and I really respected Dave for his line work just beautiful stuff and Paul taught me a lot Kevin taught me a lot Paul's a local guy too I believe a lot of great artists, designers all out of Chicago And if they weren't, they were brought into Chicago at some point, it seems. Right? Yep. Yeah. Absolutely. Yeah, no, most everybody was right here in Chicago. Yeah, it's amazing. Tony Ramunni lived in Chicago. He was originally from Italy, worked for Williams first, and then he came to work for Valley. And then he ended up moving back to Italy because life is wonderful in Italy. So at least that's what he told. Did you ever work with Python Anghelo? Oh, sure. Yeah. That guy, he was a character, huh? Oh, yeah. Absolutely. Yep. He was fun. There's got to be some good Python stories. Oh, yeah. Frank says, hey, that's my cue for ball, too. Oh, it's so fun. Time is going by too fast, though. It's 8.34. I know. This is, what, our fourth game? Yeah. My game play is going down. Not good. How are we playing four games with not very good scores and it taking, like, an hour and a half? I think we threw this 100 mil thing out, and now it's in my head. I need to just play better, but it's not helping. That's a great question to win, Mike. Let's ask Greg that when he comes back. And that question is, is there any game that you would have liked to have the chance to redo the artwork or make any changes? You got it? Because one of my favorite Greg Ferrer-ist titles is Fathom. Yeah, just a beautiful game. Beautiful. Beautiful game. Yep. Obviously, I'm a fan of the... It's a different era, though. I mean, if you redo a Fathom now, I mean, things were more... No, no, no. I'm saying I would not redo Fathom. No, I know. But I just saying things were more simple I guess back then even though that not a you know No I understand Well you weren looking at the complexities of art for the most part that now pinballers have come to expect out of their art package. Yeah. Well, like we were talking about earlier, like the guys who were designing the games and doing the art in the 50s, they were cranking out 10 games a year or whatever, you know, whatever. But it looked like the level of effort that was expected of them. The LOE was very much lower back. Right. So the standard wasn't set as high. Sure. We'll ask Greg when he comes back. All right. And that's Greg Ferrer is not on the thing there. Greg Ferrer is. Greg Ferrer is. Now, a lot of people pronounce his name Greg Ferrerist or Greg Ferrerist. It's Greg Ferrerist. F-R-E-R-E-S. Ferrerist. Ferrerist. Ferrerist. Ferrerist. Medical kicking the butt right there. I saw you was. Yeah, good. He said 25 mil. Greg's best game of the night, right? I think so. Don't want to do our bill. Tiki Pinball is saying, hey, listen, Fathom, it's expensive today because of the artwork. It is. It's not because of the gameplay. It really is. It's the most beautiful game of that era. You held your own on that game, Greg. I did, Greg. Right at about $30 million. So that's what we needed, Adia. That was better. Yeah, all we need is 33. What do we have left? 0.3 out of everybody. You're next. We've got about, what, 40 million roughly up? Give or take? Ooh. Let's get into a ball and see what happens. Go for it. All right, so you had a, hang on, where are we at? Where are we at here? Twinmice asked, is there any game that you would have liked to have had the chance to redo the art or make any changes? like looking back on it i guess hard body at this hard body hard body is a classic well the game is yeah no but that art though that was that was that time period though right yeah no that was a that was forced well oh that is valley owned health clubs at the time i'm so glad you said So they said, you know, hey, we want a workout-themed game. Oh, my gosh. And Rachel McLeish is our spokesperson, so we want her on the back last. Yeah. We want a photo back last. Oh, photos. It was a photo back last. Photos. So, yeah. But that was the thing back then, too, though. Yeah. I can think of many, many games where there was photo back last. And we wanted nothing to do with that. Good stuff. We wanted nothing to do with those photos. But they happened. It made its way on there. That's right. Okay. But the other game that I would like to redo would be Black Belt. I didn't have much time to work on that. I'm not very proud of it. So I would like to redo that. Or maybe not. Maybe. Why bother? You can reskin. You know, we'll get a little Greg Freres-James Rees games coming up here soon. Yo, G-Man, what is the most challenging part of your job? Or is it who is the most challenging part of your job? Yeah. McLeish, baby. I'm sorry. I'm reading. I'm reading. The challenging part of my job is just balancing all of the schedules and getting everything to come together when it needs to come together. Yeah, because you're the cranking. And pleasing the licensors. Sure. That's probably the most challenging all the time. So, depending on the license. Yes. Yes. Yes. Absolutely. Hard body. That left gargoyle is murdering you all. Yeah, that's Bob. Bob's the gargoyle. Bob. Bob's just, Bob's got to go. Destroy him. Stupid jerk. Ah! Baby, baby. Baby. Yeah. Yeah. Oh. It could hail tonight. It could. I see numbers. We don't know what Chicago Carl Weathers is going to bring. That's right. We're short, guys. Yeah. Sorry, dudes. Oh, my God. Hey, but you got the match. Yeah. What if we do this? Lightning strikes one. What if we go another one in reverse order? All right. Do you have time for one more? Sure. I think Ken's feeling it. One more in reverse. All right. Let's do it. All right. That means you're first. All right. That was it. Oh, it does. I'm good at that, aren't I? You're always a number two tonight in the sandwich here of reverse order or regular order. I mean, we can switch it. Oh, wow. Would you like to go first? You're the guest. Oh, no, go ahead. Are you sure? When I said you were a number two, I meant you. I'm trying to get this. Yeah, number two. Trivia time. Gargoyles have to have a spout out of their mouth. The statues are called grotesques. Thank you. Thank you for that clarification. Oh, trivia. His rule. But it's more fun to spell gargoyle wrong because we spell things wrong a lot. And basically they're goyles. You know, you're spelling goyle. The goyle. Yeah. All right. What do you think, Greg? Are we going to hit 100? Are we going to hit the 100 mil? Well, we're definitely changing things up here. We're changing. I don't know if that's going to help our case. Whatever. It's all fun and games. Greg, thanks for coming in again, man. Thanks for having me. This is a good time. That's what we do here. We'll get the calls rolling in soon, guys. Okay. After this game, I think we'll turn to the call segment. The after hours. So I'll go last or you go last? Player two. I'm always player two. You're player two. You're always player two. All right. Unless you really want to. Player two, you're out. I'll go for it. I got faith in you, Greg. Yeah, yeah. Same here, man. I got faith in him. Kerry, we'll save that one for when Greg gets back. That's a good question. I'm assuming it's the please. Both. You know when I'll have my best game of the night is when you guys leave. And then I'll be like, ah. I know. 300 minutes. Right. Did you hear the hard body came up? No. I know he's proud of that one. Somebody had the question. What was the discussion around that? Greg, if you could change any artwork or anything on a previous game that you had done. Right. Hard body? Yeah, hard body. The artist who knows best. So to recap, they were badly hit on the fitness clubs. Yes, I do know. Yeah, and they were kind of forced. I was employed by those fitness clubs. To put these actual pictures on the back glass. Good game, though. Good game, though. When I worked for Bally Total Fitness, there was at one point they struck a licensing deal with Michelob Ultra. So we all had to wear Michelob Ultra shirts in the health club. So people come in and sign up, and I got like an alcohol shirt on. Like I just wanted like a pack of Marlboro or something. Here, here's your free beer. Right. Here, try this vape. That was prior to vape, though. Yeah. Keep it alive. Keep it alive. Unreal. It's good seeing everybody here in chat again. Tiki Pinball, Terry Harge. Sambuca. Yeah, guys. Dick Fulgren, Dr. John. Christopher's here. Next time I can trade my hard body for something. Health club and beer seems logical. Well, it's like the low-calorie beers were really trendy at that time. Well, no, those are back now. They're back. And Niccolo Valtteri is still around. Oh, yeah. Hey, good job, Greg. Good job. All right. So we have a combined about $7.8 million right now. Steve, we need a good cold $10 million out of you on this ball. Nice job. This game makes you want to keep playing, though. Keep hitting that start button. Keep hitting the start button. I suppose that's the name of the game right now, Greg, is just making pitball machines that people want to keep playing. Yep. Greg, when you make the art, do you aim to please the fans or yourself more? I just want to do the best job I can do and hope that people enjoy what I do that's what I've always done and I'm more than happy with the outcome of that over the years I've been doing this a long time and I appreciate the fans that are just totally so into it You know, I never would have dreamed, you know, of sitting here doing this kind of thing, you know. Well, obviously the pinnacle of your career is coming and streaming with us. I can understand that. That's good. I'll buy that. It's a good point. I mean, nowadays it's so easy for you to, I guess, further your initiative and your brand and what you're doing. and pinball streaming has kind of changed things in the way that people can see how games are being played. Because back in the day, right, if a game went on location, you didn't hear about it online or see somebody stream it first. No, there was no online. There was no online. We'd go to a location and watch people play and see what they were getting and achieving. And if they walked away from it, that said a lot after just a couple of plays. So that was like your testing on your prototypes, right? Absolutely. You would literally watch them from close proximity, like physically. Interesting. Yep. Killer job on hotdogging. Yeah, how about that? Hey, Sticky Sour, what's up, bud? Hotdog. Hotdog. Actually, I just saw Tiki Pinball says that's before White Claw. White Claw is the Michelob Ultra of today, right? It's like your locale drink. It's the Zima. I was at a, off topic, I was at a white elephant gift exchange the other day, and somebody's got a sick bag of Zima. That was pretty funny. Pretty funny. All right, guys. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know, Greg. I think my height of pinball of the night is... So you... You're the last player, right? I'm playing through this rap, yeah. Jobbers? They sell clear coke in Japan. That was a thing here for a while. More machines go to homes instead of to location. Change anything in the art department? Has anything changed in the art department because more games go into homes? I would say no. We do spend a little more time finessing things. I mean, back in the day, we were putting out games pretty quickly as well. But it seemed we had more time to work on them. It's an odd thing. But we know there's more eyes than ever before. So it puts a little more pressure on us, for sure. At any given time, you're working on four, five, six titles, right? I mean. Correct. Yeah. Yeah, it's amazing. From different stages of development. Sure. Is it me? Yeah, it's you. Good luck. Player two. Elvira's not being nice tonight. No. Game's haunted. It is haunted. Actually, I broke the back glass on this one, so it might be haunted. If you look up there, the Translight is literally taped into the, yep. Oh, wow. Yeah, I see that now. Yeah, see? Now you can't unsee it. Now you can. First time I've ever broken, well, I mean, it's not a back glass per se. It's a Translight behind the actual glass. Yep. I broke the Translight glass. Maybe the game is haunted, actually. Could be. I don't know. I don't know what's going on here. I wasn't hulking out. I was updating code. I'm turning cold. And I tried to just throw the glass. And I was reaching up, and, like, I was just at an awkward angle, and I was, I don't know if I hit the corner or whatever, but, I mean, if you've not had, like, a back glass explode, you're not expecting it. Oh, yeah. It's loud, and it's shocking. Yeah. And it doesn't just crumble down. It just explodes. It's like you opening a beer for the best. And a 360's agreed. It's both in a spiritual fashion. And I was going to ask Greg if he would sign the Translight, but the Translight literally has scratch marks on it from the glass that, like, straight down the side. It's not even seligible. No, it is. I suppose I could ask Greg. I could ask him to sign the haunted Elvira back glass. It's got a story behind it at this point. Yeah, I was just talking about it. I think in a podcast I've never broken glass before, knock on wood, and then, I don't know, this happened. That's all right. You're doing well. Keep it up. It was a few days after I got the pen. I like your words of encouragement there. That's okay. Keep it up. We need the 100 mil. You're the best around. Woo! Come on, Greg. I need to call the distributor to get some more into work done. You'll take it for $4,800. All right. Here we go. I'll sell you the Translight for $4,800. You got it, Christopher. I'll Greg sign it twice. For you. Because you could cut it in half and sell half to somebody else at that point. Cut your losses. Oh, it was on the screen? Yeah. Well, I jinxed myself. Absolutely, I did. Wow. That sucks. I've got to go back and find that. Oh! Oh! No saving that. That was fast. Nice little ball there. You're good. For $4,800. I will cut a piece of my couch out for you for sure. Man, it's just not... I think it's this three-player rhythm is throwing us off. Like we're not able to get into a groove on consecutive balls. And what I like about this game, too, is that it's not a given that you're going to earn an extra ball at all. In fact, the extra ball up until recently has been... I didn't even know if extra ball was coded in the game. Oh, that's it? Wow. The game's haunted. The game is haunted. All right. Wow. Player one, you're up. I didn't try to save it because I thought there was a ball save. Ah, what are you going to do? The hand of fate is lit. is there more eyes or just more opinions being thrown at you? yeah there's some truth to that yeah cause now you hear them but you know what they say about opinions everyone has one we'll leave it at that yeah carry take it easy man the takers easy glad you could join glad everyone could join come on Ken wake the people up alright Uncle Bullhead. Who's your favorite deadhead? We're not seeing very many tonight, that's for sure. No. I think we've seen maybe the sergeant and maybe... Oh. Yeah. I guess... Uncle Bullhead's come up a lot tonight for some reason. Are those random? There's more to come. Yes. Those are random, right? Okay. There's more to come. Yeah. I think Chuck told you guys. Chuck was here. 12 or 13 of them. Yep. All right, here we go. This is the third ball, right? This is ball three. It's do or die. This isn't going too well. I feel like we burned up our after hours trying to defeat the machine. Things have gotten very somber around here. I don't know. I don't know if it is. Just a little bit somber. Okay. You know, what I was going to ask you, Steve, is I don't know what your night consists of. I still need to stream like two or three more nights on special and lit to get the stupid affiliate status. Yeah. After we shut this stream down, would you consider doing a little special and lit for like 30 minutes or something? I am down. Yeah, one of these days we'll get that set up in my house. I have the equipment. Well, you're close. Not the know-how. Sorry. All right. Don't be sorry. You're, uh, you got a score there. It's all good. Player three, you're next. Steve, we just need about 90 million on you, bud. I got you guys. And, uh, here you go. Well, here's a serious question, Greg. How often have you had an opportunity to jump on this game? Is it something that you're playing daily, or is it more work that you put into the pin versus being able to play? You know, I took some time off Thanksgiving week, so I got away from it. But I had been playing every day for about an hour and a half at a time. Okay, okay. So just to see, you know, the new stuff that Lyman's putting in. So I got away from it for a week, and then I got busy coming back this week. So I haven't played it at all this week. So I am a little rusty. And this game is obviously set up a little bit differently. I mean, all pins normally are. Yeah. There's little subtle differences and variances. So when you get used to the game that you're playing on, yeah. Yep. Yeah, I try to, you know, when I have time, I try to get about an hour to an hour and a half on it when I can per day. Just to, you know, see where things are at and, you know, ask the lineman, hey, what are you thinking about this, you know? Yeah. So it's all good. We'll see. So Calabasas saying that it's weird because he's jumping into our stream a few times a night, and the screen is black every time, but every other Twitch stream he can see without an issue. So maybe the stream is cursed. Maybe we have a little haunting going on here. Everything's haunted tonight. It is haunted in here. I'm waiting for Steve to spill a beer or something. That normally happens at some point. Exploding beers, spilling beers. I think he's definitely going to come back. Zach, did you want to do something to give that banner away, or what did you want to do with that? Because as we approach the 9 o'clock hour here, I imagine we're going to be wrapping up. Whoa, no one's ever done a meal like that before. I hope to have you back for Elvira 4. That would be awesome. Yeah, good luck with that. He's driving. Go ahead and pull the trigger. So we need to figure out a way to give away this banner. And I'm thinking, can you think of an interesting trivia question that maybe not the diehards would only know, but somebody that was familiar with the Elvira license would be able to answer. And then what we can do is, I don't mean to put you on the spot, but what we can do is we can take the first correct answer in chat. You can win the banner. It will ship out. And assuming you're in the continental United States and if you're outside of the country, you can still win, but you're going to want to contact Flippin' Up and Ball to figure out any additional shipping costs at that point. I don't know if you have maybe a fun question that would have a definitive answer, because we do realize that there are those that like to debate in here. And obviously, Zach, if you have something and you want to text me, I've got my phone here. Also, Zach wanted to ask Greg if something is special planned, if you uncover all the Hand of Fate rewards similar to the Spider Multiball. That's a great question because I wanted to ask you that as well. The Hand of Fate is the left out lane insert when it's lit and you drain there, the spinner comes up and there's what, like six or seven segments? Correct. And you're revealing something underneath. Right. So yes, the answer is yes. Awesome. Yep. That Spider Multiball is the grand wizard mode on Steer Sif that I never, ever, ever had achieved. Right. Ah, it's so fun. If we go back to what we talked about earlier with some of Elvira's requests that she wanted in the artwork. Okay. On Elvira and the Party Monsters. Oh, System 11. She's holding something in the back glass, and there is a word or a phrase, yeah, a phrase kind of thing on something that she's holding. Okay. Tom Norris, what's up? What does it say? Okay, so the first correct answer in chat, I know, Vira and the party monsters in the back glass, she's holding something, and there's something that's etched in there. So the owners are going to win this because they're going to go over the back. Oh, yeah, it says this. Well, yeah, you're going to have to go look. But, hey, then good enough for you. First correct answer in chat. I do not know what the answer is. So, Greg, if you don't mind, once you see that correct answer come up, let me know, and then we can award the winner. So on Elvira and the Party Monsters, Elvira is holding something in the back glass, and there's something written on the object in which she's holding. The first person to answer that correctly. Now, right now, Google is getting hit with Elvira and the Party Monsters excessively where people are looking for the back glasses, and they're zooming in to see what's going on. So this is kind of exciting to see what happens. First correct answer will win an Elvira House of Horrors banner from Stern Pinball shipped by Flip N Out Pinball. Nice. I love Smarky. It is true. I heart Smarky. Oh. That's the correct answer. So heart, love, yes, same thing. So Calabasas, for some reason, the stream is black all night until he's ready to win a contest and then all of a sudden it's coming in nice and clear for him. That's awesome. Congratulations. Woo! Kyle with the Elvira House of Horrors banner. Nice. Very, very cool. All right. So it's 9 o'clock. And you've got a skedaddle, right? I could. Yep. Okay. We're not going to keep it too late. Any questions? I mean, I could take a couple questions if there are out there. I just don't want to overstep our bounds here. If we have any other questions in chat, I mean, do you want to take a call before you leave? Or do you want to just keep it in chat? It's your call. Let's keep it in chat. Yeah, let's keep it in chat. But let's go to the After Hours segment brought to you by. We're going to pause for station identification on the Flippin' Outstream Network. Welcome to the After Hours portion of the program. The call-in line is up, but it's not active tonight. So please, if you're in chat, you can call and leave a message. I'll forward it over to Greg via the internets. But if you have a question in chat, we've got Greg for a couple more minutes. Greg's the art director and designer at CERB Pinball, and he's the celebrated Hall of Fame pinball artist on not only all the Elvira pinball machines, but he's guesstimating 30 plus or minus. It's been our honor to have him here as a guest tonight. A personal favorite of mine in pinball. There are very few people that I would almost say idolized when I got into pinball. Very much. And, yeah, it's awesome to have him here, so I do really appreciate it. Thanks. It's good. Natty wants to know what you think of the reefs behind us. They're beautiful. It was the first thing I noticed when I walked in. That's right. I was like, that is classy. It's my touch on art here in the studio. Yeah. So we'll take another question or two for Greg. We'll get him on the way in the Windy City here. It's cold, and it's like hurricane winds sweeping through the day here. A lot of great questions tonight in chat. And, Greg, I appreciate your candidness on everything. It was a lot of fun. Yeah, it has been a lot of fun. Thanks for coming out. Thanks for entertaining the chat. No problem. No problem. What was your process of determining color palette on Elvira House of Horrors? I asked because the gradient choices is so damn eye-catching. I appreciate that. I appreciate that a lot. You know, like I said, that was one of the things that I experimented with multiple times before I arrived at the finish line for that. So that took a little extra effort getting that dialed in. But I once, you know, it was kind of a throwback, too, because Scared Stiff is kind of a mostly red background. So I kind of wanted to start with that at the bottom and just work its way up. So, yeah, just had fun, you know, coming up with different gradients and stuff like that. Well, it's hard, too, just to interject. When you're working with reds and greens, you don't want it to look like Christmas. Christmas, exactly. Exactly. top. Exactly. Awesome. And the first decals we got in came in where the green was a little off. It wasn't yellow green. It was like green. It did get a little Christmassy. Stinky Sour is asking if you would, and Whizbang Pinball. Whizbang Pinball is a joint company with Dennis Nordman and Greg Freres. You ever think about coming up with a new vintage layout like Wonelly? Something fresh? Maybe someday. Never say never, right? So who knows? Sure. Jobber says He's sick of the calling, so he's happy we're not doing that. Thanks a lot. Agreement in color. I wouldn't have thought that the colors were Elvira theming, but it's perfect, says Zach. Thank you. Tom's asking, does Elvira topper have lighting movement or sound effects? Sure. There you go. Heard it here first. Hey! Not even a stay tuned or anything? Very cool. That's just how it goes. What's up, Tom, by the way? And Christopher asks, as far as garages you play pinball in, is this one of them? Come on, Jabber, it's Studio C. Yes, sir. And with that, thanks for all the way to really challenge the guest in chat tonight, guys. We don't call it flipping out for nothing, Greg. It just is what it is. What's up? What's up? Good times. All right. Well, listen, we've got one more. We've got one more question for you. Got anything for Greg? We got adding so much video content in modern machines. Did that just make the process longer, or does that compress the time that you have available for the play field and the cabinet and the back glass? Well, the video department is different. Chuck was here last week, and he's got a whole team of artists that do the stuff that you see on the screen. So it's independent from what we do for the cabinet and play field and back glass, although we usually get started with all of the printed graphics ahead of the video stuff. So we tend to, you know, drive the early part of the game design from an art standpoint, and then that team comes in and we work together to try to make the best combination of the two, you know, that we can. As far as, like, between the art department and the computer graphics department, Is there a rough guesstimate as to how many employees in total could be working on a pin prior to its release? Oh, gosh. I mean, more than 10. Oh, yeah. Probably 15 to 16. Yeah, that's a lot of people. So, yeah. Just got my Elvira LE in Australia on Friday. Absolutely blown away. Thank you. Thank you. Rob Marble. Thank you. That's very awesome. Now, were you part of the Dynamo Pitch and Bat series, and did they sell well, is asking. No, I didn't work on that. That was Zombie Eddie. Oh, that's right. Oh, yeah, because he did the zombie style there. Yeah. Bring back some exposed wood and pinball playfields. Well, that sounded a little dirty, said Zach. With a migraine or a cold, that's as insightful as I get. Well, I'm not a no-jobber. We'll go ahead and close out the chat. You're the garage man. I want to say thanks to everybody in chat that just came in and asked questions and experienced the game with the artists. Nothing more fun than having that. I want to thank Greg Freres. Thank you for coming in tonight. Thanks, Greg. Seriously. Appreciate it. Super nice guy. It's cool to see people from Australia up there. I know. And I saw three games going to somewhere near Australia the other day, New Zealand. They're going everywhere. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's awesome. Even our buddy in Marlin from Brazil, they've got one going out that way. So, you know, New Caledonia, that's what I saw. New Caledonia. With Elvira. Wow. Yeah, going to New Caledonia. You saw that at the Stern headquarters. Now, for those of you that don't realize, when you go into the manufacturing plant where Stern is, the back of the plant is where the shipping is. And at any given time, there's 50 to 300 machines that are all lined up to go out. They're all stamped in the country destination code. So it's pretty cool to see that. Very cool. Zach, thanks for letting us stream on the network. And thanks for letting us stream of our House of Horrors. Steve, thanks for being a great co-host, as always. It's not a good stream without you. And, Greg, sincerely, thank you so much for your time. Merry Christmas. Thanks for all your efforts in pinball, man. Merry Christmas. Yeah, this was fun. Happy New Year. Thanks, everybody. For Greg Ferreres and Steve Beattie, I'm Ken Cromwell. Don't forget to take some time out of your day and play some pinball. So long, everybody. Thank you. you you you you you
