TL;DR

SDTM Episode 100 celebration features 20+ tribute videos from pinball industry with mixed congratulations and roasting.

Summary

Straight Down the Middle celebrates their 100th episode with a special awards show featuring tribute videos from 20+ industry personalities, pinball media colleagues, and manufacturers. The episode is lighthearted and self-aware, with hosts Zach Sharpe and Greg Bone acknowledging both sincere congratulations and good-natured roasting from the pinball community. Key themes include gratitude to early supporters like Buffalo Pinball, appreciation for the friendships formed through the community, and humorous commentary on their growth from 15 initial viewers to nearly 1 million total channel views.

Key Claims

  • Straight Down the Middle has reached 100 episodes and close to 1 million total channel views with nearly 5,000 subscribers

high confidence · Zach Sharpe and Greg Bone stated directly in opening segment: 'We're getting up close to a million views on our channel. We're getting close to 5,000 subscribers.'

  • The 100 episodes counted do not include early gameplay videos, install videos, and exclusives, bringing actual total content closer to 150 episodes

high confidence · Zach Sharpe: 'The 100 episodes are just like episodes that we've marked. That's not counting some of our early shitty gameplays... we probably have actually like 150 episodes. Absolutely. Or so, honestly.'

  • They started with only 15 initial viewers 100 episodes ago

high confidence · Zach Sharpe: '100 episodes ago, we were happy when we got our first 15. Then 100. 100? Can you believe 100 people watched our video Greg?'

  • Buffalo Pinball was instrumental in supporting SDTM early on and helping them understand the industry landscape

high confidence · Zach Sharpe: 'Buffalo, I remember when we first started into this... You know, we watched like every Buffalo Pinball video there was... they were sort of a helping hand... Kevin and Nick have always been those people... without them honestly we probably wouldn't be here.'

  • Almost all personalities featured in the tribute videos have become personal friends with the hosts, many of whom they regularly communicate with outside of camera

high confidence · Zach Sharpe: 'literally almost everybody in those videos have become friends, and some of them have become really close friends. Like we hang out and we don't have a camera in front of us... I talk to them on the phone. Like me and you talk every day... I literally talk to at least a couple times a week.'

  • Zach Sharpe joked that they might only reach episode 103-104 before the show ends (after Jurassic Park review and Halloween special)

medium confidence · Greg asked 'Do you think we'll make it to 200?' and Zach responded: 'No. Episode what? 103. 103. After the Jurassic Park review. 104.'

  • Several tribute video contributors speculated the show was ending, appearing to treat episode 100 as a series finale

This video was brought to you by Pinstadium Zeus' Ring, a wearable crown of lights for 360 degree floodlight action. all right good evening pinball community what is happening everybody my name is zach and this is greg how you doing tonight greg what's what's happening tonight is the night tonight is the night we're gonna start like that how many drinks have you had tonight just a couple yeah it's a couple there well right here i'm feeling good how about you greg Oh, I'm feeling, I'm not, I'm not loose yet, Zach. Not quite yet? Not loose yet, uh-uh. Well, we've been looking forward to this night for a long time, haven't we, Greg? Least, least five minutes. Yeah, I would say, can everybody hear us out there? Mic check! Mic check, everybody hear us? All right, so, you're always loud, Greg. Yeah. So let's do this award show tonight. This is a special night for us and we're going to talk about one of our awards tonight, which is very special near and dear to our hearts. It is the award for the YouTube channel that has reached 100 episodes. Hot damn! That's a lot of episodes, Greg. That's a lot of episodes. Who could be that awesome? I don't know. Let's find out. Okay, here we go. Oh, the envelope. All right. Drum roll. Here we go. The award goes to... Straight down the middle of Pinball Show. Wait a second. That's us! Congratulations! Woo! We rock! Kabam! This is amazing. Thank you so much. 100 episodes of entertaining the pinball public. I mean, hot diggity dog. This is more important to me than my late night talks with Dennis Creasle. Damn. And unboxing videos. Those are special. They are. Well, listen. Thank you, guys. We're going to go celebrate for a few minutes. We'll be back for the rest of the awards in a few minutes. All right, peace. All right, congratulations straight down the middle. Greg, indeed, tonight is the night. Thank you to the pins who submitted their video for straight down the middle of pinball show's episode 100, our centennial. Hot damn! Hot damn! Hot damn! What do you think about their accents there? Do we really sound like that? I don't think we do. I do not either. I'd like to think that we sound very proper and very much not Southern Indiana. Well, we'll go with it. Who cares? So, welcome to Straight Down the Middle of Pinball Show. Hot damn! This is Greg. My name is Zach. We're back. It's been a little bit of time, right? Hasn't it? We've been busy. We have been busy. But here we are celebrating 100. I know. Aww. We tried everything we could to keep on a normal schedule, but our lives are anything but normal lately. That's true. That's true. Do you think we'll make it to 200? Plus or minus, what do you think we're going to make it to? No. Episode what? 103. 103. After the Jurassic Park review. 104. 104. We've got to have a Halloween special again. Oh, yeah. All right. So we've got, starting us off, we had the pins. Yes. We asked a lot of our viewers, a lot of our friends in media and in the industry to submit some videos for our episode 100. We have a lot of videos to show these fine people, don't we? That was a hell of a way to start it off. Thank you, Pins. How many tears were shed as you were watching some of these videos? Both because of laughs and because of these are nice. They are nice. They're mean. They're really mean to me. You know what? They're funny. At my expense. They were good spoofs. At no point have I ever said, Hot damn! I had to open up that because it was so good. But it's something I would say. She even sang, Tonight is the night. That shit was spot on. You remember that, man? That was good, though. You remember the Twippies, the first annual Twippies? I do. Looking back, we sat right here with fake bow ties on. No fake buttons. We had real bow ties. They were clip-on. I don't know how real they were. They were clip-ons. Yeah, clip-on bow ties. Yeah, fake buttons. We've come a long way, Greg Bowen. But do you know what I think is the best part that I really like? Me? besides you friend is all the time that a lot of these people took just to send us a video because it's just time consuming to actually pull out a camera and to kind of get something down to say but some of these people that you'll see they went above and beyond and I am super appreciative like the pins yes like the pins like the pins I am super appreciative of everybody who put so much time into sending us these videos oh I was just watching them back I've watched these videos I don't know how many times And it reminds me of where we've come from. Episode 1. Yes. In the hollow garage. Yes. And here we are, episode 100. That's a lot of reviews, a lot of top tens, a lot of fights. And the 100 episodes, the thing is, is the 100 episodes are just like episodes that we've marked. That's not counting some of our early shitty gameplays where we just put iPhones above our pinball machines. Yeah, I love that. Yeah. And you're like, ooh, gameplay. You check out that video and it's like, oh, it's an iPhone. And we've done some install videos of some stuff and everything in there. Exclusives? Exclusives, yeah. We've had some industry exclusives. Yeah, and none of those are counted in the 100 episodes. So, like, total, we probably have actually like 150 episodes. Absolutely. Or so, honestly. A lot of views, too. We're getting up close to a million views on our channel. We're getting close to 5,000 subscribers. If you haven't subscribed, hey, it's episode 100. Help us out and press the subscribe button. And 100 episodes ago, we were happy when we got our first 15. then we were happy when we got our first 100 100? Can you believe 100 people watched our video Greg? Oh my god people are watching us and now we just love dominating pinball on YouTube love it, just love it we're not going anywhere are we? not soon not soon, if I can get over here to record and you can how many beers? let's kick it off again let's go into now this one is really special this is a very special This is the king of pinball YouTube, and he was nice enough with his team to sit down and record an entire episode as a tribute to us straight down the middle. So thank you so much. We'll talk about it here in a second, but let's run that. Aha! We got a great video tonight. A whole bunch of pinball machines and video games. Stay calm, Bozo. We've got this telegram. Telegram? from the Twippy people. Oh, it's a Twippy. This is Zach and Greg's Straight Down the Middle TV show. They're celebrating their 100th episode. I've been nominated for the Twippy Awards, the second annual for Best Video Channel. Who would nominate you? I knew it was coming. As a matter of fact, look, I even got the space ready for my big award. What a fact, because you should be getting this business going straight down the drain. Well, guess what? I happen to have the show ready. Welcome to the second annual Twippy Awards, a celebration of pinball excellence. TNT Amusements. All right. No peeking. And the winner is... My friends, straight down the middle. Oh, Frank! They gave themselves the award. Hey, when you own it, you can do it. those creeps they gave themselves their own stupid award how come you didn't think of that Todd how come you didn't think about getting your own award ceremony I have 1500 videos well guess what we came up with our own award your twit award yes that's right and there I am and I won first place first place and this is an animated talk here's your conquering the buffet award this is an award to something about class when you've got no cars. Oh, yeah, and the other one is... No, that's a customer. That's a customer appreciation award. No, this here is for destroying the most accuras. This guy puts the most dings, scratches, and destroys more accuras than the crash testing. Well, I'll tell you what. A hundred episodes still is pretty darn good. And we're very pleased you guys did it. The same eight people who watch your episode, Do you think they're the same eight people that watch the first one? No, Frank! Well, they have an award, so they probably have ten. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And they have their own show. And, you know. But there is one more thing I want to say. And here it is. Good night. Now get out! So there you have it. The Todd Tuckey himself. Mr. King of pinball media. Todd, thank you so much. And the team over at TNT Amusements for submitting that. That meant the world. It was our own episode. Our own tribute from Todd Tucky. I thought it was super awesome. Like, when you told me that, I thought, shit. And it was funny. It was in Todd Tucky's spirit. It was an episode. His own trophy. We can, yeah. That he made for himself that is a little broke. Well, it was an animated topper. And I've always wanted, this is how horrible I am and nerdy I am. I've always wanted to be called a creep by Todd Tucky. and I don't know if he did this intentionally but he kind of paid homage to your our Halloween episode where you dressed up slamming the door to close and get out with a cigarette and stuff that was great I really love that thank you so much and to the crew over there I know that Tim and everybody else helped out with that so thanks so much I'm not even sure Todd still knows who we are but it's okay Todd just read this Read the script real quick. Oh, well. So let's go now to another set of videos. This is from a couple people that you guys may or may not recognize in the industry. The world may never know who's behind this T-Rex costume. But Greg and Zach, congrats on 100 episodes, and here's to 100 more. What are we doing this for? Straight down the middle of pinball show. What the frack is that? Zach and Greg. Zach and Greg. You mean the divas and butthead of pinball shows? Why are we doing a video for that? 100 episodes! You gotta be kidding me. I didn't think they'd be able to keep talking to each other for more than 30. Alright, let's do this thing. I've got Teletubbies code to write. What were their names again? Zach and Greg. Hey, Zach, Greg, Josh from American Pinball, and in all seriousness, love the show. Congratulations on 100 episodes. You guys bring such enthusiasm and humor and fun, and that's what pinball is supposed to be all about. And I really look forward to seeing what you guys are going to do over the next 100 episodes. And before I sign off, Inga has a message for Zach. Oh, whip your dick out and let's race. All right, guys. again congratulations and good luck oh how great was that that's your dinosaur that's your dinosaur who is that the infamous stern dinosaur I love that it's still Zach Sharp's voice he's like I don't know if you guys know who I am but you know they were probably like Zach we got a letter these guys need you to do a video and he was like damn it I'll only do it in the dinosaur suit I want people to know I support these bastards that's why he didn't say his name Oh, well, we'll take it. I'll take it. I'll take it. From Stern Pinball, we'll take it. So, from the Stern team, thank you guys so much. We got it right here, don't we? Yes, we do. Ooh, baby. And then from Josh Coogler from American Pinball. Now, he's been our buddy for a while. That was a pretty good bit, too. That was good. I almost believed him for a minute. I know. I was like, come on, Coog. I know. Jay Coog, you know me. We've hung out with you so many times, man. Right? Yeah, well, well. Now, I did like that Inga had a message for me. Whip your duck out and let's go to race. Yeah. Nobody's going to be whipping their ducks out on episode 100. It took me a minute. I didn't hear duck until you told me. I know. You were like, what are you saying? What the fuck? Oh, man. So thank you guys to the industry that we love and we're obsessed with. Hearing from you guys means the world. Yes. Oh. I don't think any of them think we're going any further. Maybe they think this was it. So they're like, nice job, guys. It was the series finale is what they thought they were doing. On to the next video of different assholes. That's why people agreed to do it was because they thought that it was the end of us. Oh, well. Oh, well. Now, next we're going to hear from our cohort. We're going to hear from a group of pinball media. Yeah. Podcasters, right? Producers of videos and pinball. All of the voices. Need I say the pinball media. Oh, how dare they. All right. Roll it. Shout out and congrats from Buffalo Pinball to our friends Straight Down the Middle The second best pinball duo on YouTube 100 episodes Good job guys, thumbs up Hey Greg and Zach, it's Jeff from the Pinball Players Podcast Congratulations on 1,000 episodes, that's amazing You guys do such a great job, so much work And your dedication to pinball, how much you love it, it shows in every episode Never miss it I such a fan that here at the radio station that I work at I put up some new wallpaper on the computer here And I not going to lie people have been asking me questions that I really don have any answers for other than to say it pinball related They still don't get it. Congrats. Hey guys, congratulations on 100 episodes of Straight Mountain the Diddle. I think that's great. It's straight down the middle. What? Straight down the middle. I have no idea what the hell it is. All right, we'll do it again. Take two. Hey, guys, congratulations on straight down the middle. 100 episodes, that's fantastic. Greg Bone, what can I say about you? You are the glue of the show. It doesn't exist without you. You are the guy who puts in all the effort. The other guys are sitting there. I mean, thanks very much for all your hard work, Greg. It's the show where, you know, you can see these great unboxings of brand-new machines and then sold one or two days later. I think it's fabulous. So guys, congratulations. Thanks for all the pinball content. Keep up the good work. And Zach, you did a good job. Greg and Zach, congratulations on reaching episode 100. I, like most of the viewers, am amazed you made it this far. I must confess I never saw your early episodes. And while I may have the regret that I wasn't there for your beginning, I take comfort in knowing that I am here for your end. because you are ending the show, right? Content is slowed down. The passion burns a little less brightly. The rage froths forth a little more openly. I understand, of course. The generation of mind-numbing, quote-unquote, entertainment must burden you both to a degree that thinking individuals cannot fathom. Greg. Bland expression, Greg. Mr. B+. Greg's reviews suffer from more grade inflation than a charter magnet school. At least Zach has the excuse that he shills half this shit. I'm amazed at how blandly passionate Greg is about, well, everything. Is it the power of acting, perhaps? Or is it the dull buzz of a handful of brewskis that Greg slams back in order to tolerate Zach that results in such a passive and accommodating style? As for Zach, someone I am forced to tolerate on regular intervals in the podcasting realm, Mr. Hardest Working Man in Pinball Mr. Let's Keep the Show Going even though I have to hide most of my opinions Mr. Branding is Greater Than Substance Zach is to pinball what a court jester is in a medieval castle a bright, loud, look-at-me personality that is somehow both amusing and vapid In all seriousness, congratulations on reaching 100 episodes This hobby is better off with a show that provides high-quality video and compelling commentary for a variety of pinball machines, a focus towards entertainment, engagement with the audience, and a willingness to take risks. Of course, that show is dead flip, but here we are, stuck talking about you. May both of you enjoy this moment, as I think we all agree you aren't reaching 200 episodes. Regardless, do all of us who watch a favor and get that fucking microphone out of the frame. It's like a boom operator falling asleep on the set of a daytime soap opera. Peace. Zach Gregg, what's up? It's Ken Cromwell from Special Win Lit Pinball Podcast. I don't have anything prepared. I just wanted to congratulate you guys on 100 episodes. That's a huge accomplishment. Always enjoy your content, man. And you guys rock it out of the park. Some of the funniest moments I've ever seen in pinball have come from straight down the middle. And some of the most heartbreaking moments too. So here's wishing you guys another 100 episodes. Actually, here's hoping you guys make it to 101. But good times, guys. Congratulations and keep up the good work. G'day. It's Ryan from Australia. First of all, Zach. Gross and chest hair. Don't be a bitch. Just want to make a quick video to say thanks for the 99 episodes, and this will be the 100th. Love your content. Greg, thanks for all the hard work you do, which includes being really good looking and making up for Zach Manny's genetic deficiencies. Keep it up. Here's to 100 more. I'm Jason. And I'm Matt. And we are from the Slap Save Pinball Podcast. And we are here to congratulate Greg and Zach on 100 episodes. One straight down the middle. 100 episodes. 100. I'm surprised someone from Indiana can even count to 100. Shocking. I know. Yeah. But keep up your good work on the pinball tables. We actually love your shows, each and every one of them. We watch every one we can. We love the reviews on the tables. We love the criticisms on the tables. We love the unboxings of the tables. The quick wit. Yeah. Yeah. So looking forward to 200 episodes. Keep up. That's this many. Use your toes. Keep up the good work, guys. Love it. Take care. Hey, Zach and Greg. It's Joel and Dana. We just want to say congratulations on 100 episodes of Straight Down the Middle. Way to go, guys. It's an amazing accomplishment, and we knew you could do it. Wait a second. No, no, no. You said they wouldn't make it past four episodes. Not true. I have every confidence in Zach and Greg. They're so talented. Anyhow, good job, guys. And, you know, Zach, you know we love you. but I gotta tell you we're team Greg. Team Zach. We talked about this. No, you talked about this. We're team Greg. We're totally team Greg. In fact, the whole family is team Greg. What? What happened here? I don't know, but she's clearly, clearly team Greg here's a good puppy good girl team Greg team Zach we talked about this no we're definitely team Zach straight down the middle 100 episodes strong congrats on this milestone what a gigantic waste of your time and mine Zach and Greg I can't believe people keep tuning in when you guys started you really looked and sounded like a couple of poor dicks. Now Zach is losing his hair and Greg is Canada's sidekick. But through all that, you prevailed in the smallest niche hobby in the world. Congrats. Cheers to us. Cheers to you. Fuck you. Cheers to us. We love you guys. We wish you a hundred more in the future. Congrats. Hey guys, it's James, or Amosis on Twitch, or James from the Bumper to Bumper pinball podcast, the one episode we did, me and Crystal Gimnick post Texas Pinball Festival. I just wanted to say, hey, congratulations on 100 episodes of Straight Down the Middle. It's a great achievement. You guys are amazing ambassadors for the hobby, and we're lucky to have you in all the work that you do. So congratulations, and also, fuck you, Greg Bone. Oh, that wonderful, sexy group of people. I love it. Some of them, I'm not going to say who. Some of them better for podcasts, if you know what I mean. That's okay. They started out with Buffalo Pinball. They've been our buddies from the beginning. They've supported us from the beginning. Because in all honesty, you know, like Buffalo, I remember when we first got started into this and we'd become even bigger in pinball. You know, we watched like every Buffalo Pinball video there was. Oh, yeah, we were fans. Still are. Yeah, and they were sort of a helping hand, you know. And that's something. Even with streaming. Yeah, with everything. Like that's something you don't find always in a hobby or community. Especially this one with the media. Some of them are a little prickly. Yes, they are. And don't want to reach out to people. Don't want to help people. But they're prickly. Yeah, exactly. Respond to messages, Greg. Yes, exactly. No one will write you back. But Kevin and Nick have always been those people. Kevin and Nick, if we ever had a question or we had a technical question or we needed anything, I don't know if they really wanted to, but they were nice enough to do so. They were very cordial. We had dinner with them at Expo one year. They kind of give us the ins and outs of what you need to know. here's what to avoid. Yeah, because we were still kind of early at that point. We had some humility. We knew that we were just beginning. Yeah, so hats off to those guys man because without them honestly we probably wouldn't be here. We'd be further behind. Two of my favorite podcasts, two of my favorite Jeffs in the world. Jeff Parsons from the Pinball Players podcast and Jeff Tillis from Pinball Profile. Now Parsons, I think Parsons a little warm told Zach with a screensaver there. He liked it. Can you imagine walking into his office there, his studio, and seeing that on that computer. How great. What questions that must arise. He's got such a great voice. The fact that it even happened in my basement makes me feel dirty. Hey, it wasn't that bad. I'm not hideous. Just really white and not muscular. It was just creepy. Or chest hair. There's a lot. There's a lot. I get it. Once you start diving into it. Move on to Jeff Teolis. He talked well about me. No. Jeff Teolis shit on me as well. he said that you were the one that held the show together you were the one that does all the research you did everything but it's got to make you feel good because you know that's blatant bullshit sarcasm in reversal I should be the one offended I should be like damn you damn you Jeff Teolis pinball profile is awesome he is like the professional media in pinball does all of the papa events does all the interviews and everything and he's everybody's favorite ginger, right? Little ginger snap. That's what he is. Just leave my soul alone. That's right. Your Canadian ginger snap. So thanks again to the Jeffs. Oh, Dennis Creasel from the Eclectic Gamers podcast. Now this is somebody that I work with regularly and we have a nice little banter between he and I that is very different than you and I. Only in Dennis Creasel fashion. I think Dennis Hart, when people are going through it, most viewers are probably like, What the hell did I just listen to? Who is that and what did he just say? Damn. Wow. I love our little creasel, but man. Something special there. Mr. B Plus, he calls you. Hey. Bland. Bland Greg has to drink so many beers to deal with me. Hey, that part's true. I know it is. He pegged you there and called me a court jester. A jester in a court. And then he made fun of our mic. Look. There you go, Dennis. Just for you. Zach even mentioned it, Dennis. Said, you know, fuck it, we're putting it in there. Absolutely. He didn't like that. He was mean. Dennis was mean. And then, when I thought he was going to be nice, when he was going to redeem himself and say, no, in actuality, you guys offer, this is so good. And then he said, but that's dead flip. We're stuck here talking about you. Bullshit. Ken Cromwell. Ken Cromwell jumped in. And in very typical Ken Cromwell fashion, very nice, well articulated. Very much so. And then he says something about some of the most devastating things he's seen in pinball on our shows. It happened. Crommy. I'm going to have to get Dr. Phil out here. Ryan C. All the way across the other side of the world. I think it's like three days from now over there. Honestly, Rowan, it's called the vibrate. Why? Because he makes fun of me not having chest hair? It was just so belligerently mean. Yes. It absolutely was. For no reason. Our beer's hard. Our animals are hard. And our comments are harder. Why couldn't he have just not said anything about you? He calls you beautiful and says I have bad gene pool. Like, bad genetics. We love Ryan C. Because we both have nice hair. I miss Ryan C. I miss Ryan C. Hmm. He needs to join. You know what? What? Next week, Ryan C. may join us in some fashion. So stay tuned. All the way from Australia. That's right. Oh, man. We had Fowler and Kanan from the Slap Safe Pinball podcast over in St. Louis. Yes. They've got a great podcast, too. They do have a great podcast. We've been friends with Fowler for a while. Very technical. And how did we meet Fowler? Through pinball. Yeah. That's what this is all about. We met all these people through pinball. Yeah. And they're some of our best friends. Well, that's the thing. Some of them even prior to doing what they're doing with their podcast and stuff. Some of them were, they started to become our friends then, and we kind of helped each other. We encouraged them to get in. We encouraged them, yep, you know, and everything. And then vice versa, some of these people sort of had some stuff going on, and we become friends with them. But literally almost everybody in those videos have become friends, and some of them have become really close friends. Like we hang out and we don't have a camera in front of us. Yeah, exactly. I talk to them on the phone. Like me and you talk every day. Yes. And then I have some of these people that I literally talk to at least a couple times a week every week about something. You know, and they're not remotely close. Except for Jeff Patterson. We talked to him, but we don't have a video from his ass. Oh, what the hell. He's going to type one up. Let me air it this week. Monday. Pull it up in front of the camera. A transcript of what Jeff wanted to say. We'll be lucky to get a happy episode 100. What a dick, Jeff. Fuck you, Jeff. Jeff may not like that. All right. The Reeves. Oh. The Reeves. I love the Reeves. They are two of the sweetest people in all of pinball. Easily. Who's going to argue that? And they're some of that effort. Some of the most talented people in pinball. Those are a group of people that, again, we look up to. Yeah. Right? They're kind of, we idolize them. They did the spooky pinball bump in the night. Fantastic. I think, honestly, one of the best done pinball documentaries there is. Can't argue. I want to see another video from you guys. Can't argue. Now, I love Dana, but I'm Team Joel. I mean, I just wanted to pay them back for those copies they had to make of your picture hanging on the wall. I felt bad that they wasted their money. The shirt that they had of you. That's fantastic. I need one for my dog. And to Joel for helping us out with the Twippies. That guy's fantastic. Yeah, very much so. Ian and Drew from the Poor Man's Pinball Podcast. Wow, what dicks. Wisconsin dicks. Hey, you know what? Cheese dicks. Literally, the guys with the darkest video are the ones wearing sunglasses in it. Really? What is that? Oh, so they said fuck you to us. Well, guess what, guys? Fuck you. Yeah, how about that? But I still loved it. They were hilarious because they were so free. They were just having a good time. Just chill. They were drunk having a good time. Yeah, listen to their podcast. Same way. Yeah, this was funny. When you talk to them when they're sober, they're actually intelligent. And they have actual thought. I loved it when you called me after you did that podcast with them. You were like, I didn't even know who I was talking to. They were like two totally different guys. You get them at eight in the morning when they're not drunk. You get them drunk and they get the sloppiest show on the internet. Oh, well. It's so great. Oh, well. Then we had, speaking of fuck you, Greg Bone, we had James Monon. How about it? Oh, what beef does he have with you, buddy? James. If you weren't such a good looking guy with such a great beard, I'd take offense to that. Oh, such a great beard. But I like your beard. You know what James Well fuck you too James damn it I thought we were friends Fucking we hung out a little bit I seen you guys hanging out a little bit Son of a bitch, James. That was my favorite video, actually, because... God damn it. The one person to rip him out. I thought I was going to make him do the whole fucking thing. We had like 50 videos, and he's the only one that actually said something negative about Oh, I was even like, what's he got against you? Yeah. I said, I don't know. A little shocker there. I appreciate it. It actually made me feel good. Now I know what you feel like when everybody rips on me and adores you. Let's go next to our teammates. Two people that are really special to us. Yeah. Right? We started it all off streaming, and Chuck Wirt joined the crew. Yes. He's still streaming for Straight Down the Middle. I still don't know if he knows who we are. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. As you're going to see from this video, not quite convinced that he is yet. And then we added, I thought a nice Texan, but I was sorely mistaken. No, he's pure 100% Texan. He's mean. Actually, I love Cary Hardy. Remind me to show you a picture of Cary Hardy sent in the other day. I love Cary Hardy. These people are going to see why. I love Cary Hardy. Watch the video. You'll see why. Hey, guys. It's Chuck Ward here. Just wanted to wish you a happy 100th episode. Congrats. You guys came a long way. The show's been great. I just wanted to share a couple of my favorite moments. First, when you guys contacted me to be on the Straight Down the Middle pinball streaming team. I can remember not knowing who you guys were when you asked me to do it. And the first YouTube video I looked up, it was, I believe, the one where at the beginning, Greg said, let's kick this shit. And the moment I heard that, I was in. I didn't even have to watch the rest of the episode. But again, that's when I started following. That's when I kind of came to know you guys a little bit better. And over the years, we've obviously guys known each other better by working together. So I had a great time. So here's to 100 more episodes. Congrats, guys. Congratulations, Zachary and Greg, for your 100th episode. A major accomplishment, especially for this hobby of pinball. You guys do a lot more for this hobby than I think a lot of people realize. And to help with that, I have actually done a lot of editing, gone through a lot of videos to combine all the pivotal moments I believe people should definitely see to truly just really show what all you do so without further ado let the you lose thank you Greg and the other guy that sits next to you all the time. Oh, this? This is a mug from the Slap Safe Pinball Podcast, of which I have no affiliation with, not grouped in with, nothing. But yet I've got a mug from Jason Fowler himself. What's a guy got to do to get a straight down the middle t-shirt, huh? Still haven't got one yet, guys what the thanks for all you do for this hobby like the content oh look we got a review for a pinball machine guys oh yeah they do reviews but you get that that one guy can't even like give reviews anymore when it comes to machines that he sells what's up with that but luckily we still have good old greg to give us that powerful letter at the end of every review spoiler alert for you guys out there it's gonna be a b 100 episodes like so we're just celebrating everything mediocre these days. This is the kind of crap that pisses me off. I don't know what montage was originally edited to show you all the highlights of Straight Down the Middle stuff, but let me just show you my montage of my favorite parts of Straight Down the Middle's episodes. Let it roll! Yeah, the endings. That's the best part. It's when it's over. But it's whatever. I have no ill will towards them. Especially that beautiful man named Greg. My mind's telling me no. But my body, my body's telling me yes. So yeah, whatever guys. Congrats on your 100 episodes. Hope you have 100 more and all that stuff and junk. Greg and the other guy that sits next to you. This mug smells weird. Oh, Chuck Wirt. Those are our boys. Chuck Wirt, Kerry Hardy. Poor Chuck Wirt though. I'm not convinced Greg he's ever seen an episode. For real. I really don't think so. I don't think he has. Hey, guys, I really liked that one episode where you said, let's kick this shit at the first of it. Every episode's that. He's watched us once and was like, all right, I'll stream for it. You know he chuckled. And Chuck worked back. That's right. Chuck worked back. On that one thing. And then there was nothing else. That was it. I knew from there that I thought you guys were okay. Not great. Fair. Yeah, just okay. enough that I'd help you out because I felt bad for you poor Chuck Wuer at least Chuck Wuer has a t-shirt Cary Hardy doesn't even have a t-shirt he doesn't have an SDTM t-shirt Greg no he doesn't he doesn't but he most certainly has some STD oh M. Love oh coming his way ouch sorry Cary are you going to send that kind of love his way I'll box some crabs up and throw in the mail he could even name me by name acts as if he doesn't know me and then wonders why he doesn't have a t-shirt Cary I still love you, Gary. Well, obviously he loves you. He did a little R. Kelly transition. I was waiting for him to piss all over the screen or something. Fire Roger. That's right. Spray it. Oh, my God. I wish he had some apple juice. Next, Greg. Next is a slew of people. Maybe the most important part. Oh, I love these people. Of this whole video. These are our friends, fans, supporters, family, whatever you want to call it. It's a cavalcade, if you will, a cornucopia. What the fuck is a cavalcade? It's like a grouping of people or a grouping of things, right? I don't know. Spell it. I have no clue. It sounded good. I wonder if it's right. Oh, I called him out. He wasn't expecting it. Cavalcade. Cornucopia works, right? I just picture all their faces coming out of the Thanksgiving cornucopia. And cornucopia, I like. I always think of that, too. Every time I hear cornucopia, I think about the shitty drawing back in grade school. And the wax. The wax fake fruit? Oh, my God, yes. My grandma had one of those. Yeah. Terrible, absolutely. So let's go to these followers, these fans, these family members. They're family by now. Shit. Oh, and some of them. Some of them are pretty good. What's going on, guys? JJ with Game Exchange here. Greg, I got nothing too bad to say about you. You got you. Now, Zach, on the other hand, you need to pick a better partner with him. Zach just can't hold his liquor. You know, you try to have a good time. and he's like, I've got to go to the airport soon. And then you still get him to hang out with you, and then for months he's crying about how he barely made it to the airport and barely made his flight. So, Greg, you're cool. Zach, you're kind of a wimp, and we've got to work on that a little bit. So we'll see you in Texas this next year, maybe at Expo, and we'll work on getting you tamed up there. Hey, guys, congratulations. Nice job. Thanks for keeping us all entertained. Matt Morrison here. And congrats straight down the middle on 100 episodes. Wait, what is this for? It's for Straight Down the Middle, a pinball show on YouTube. Zach and Greg. Oh, the handsome guy, Zach. No, no, no, that's Greg. Oh, the Jurassic Park guy, then. No, that's Greg, too. Okay, the realtor. For God's sakes, that's Greg. Okay, well, who is Zach, then? You know, we met him in Atlanta. You know, slipping out pinball. Does This Week in Pinball podcast. I was on that show twice. So the guy who doesn't want you on your show Because you're nasally and you sound like Josh Sharpe Is it that guy? Yes, that's that Anyway guys, just edit that first part out later Here's to 100 episodes We really appreciate everything you've done for the hobby I can honestly say from the Twippies, Chuck Word And Kerry Hardy That everything you do has enriched the hobby that we love so much And a tip of the hat to you And here's to another 100 episodes Greg and Zach, congratulations on 100 episodes on Straight Down the Middle, a pinball show. On behalf of the entire pinball community, I want to say thank you for spending hours creating content for YouTube, 15 minutes of which was actually funny. You're both entitled to your incorrect opinions, which is why the entire pinball community loves to interact with you by leaving negative comments on YouTube. It's funny though that most of the positive comments on there are left by Greg's mom. It's been great to see Zach grow from Win Schilling pinball machines to grow the hobby to Win Schilling pinball machines to actually drive profit as a distributor. Greg, everybody knows you're a B-plus kind of guy. You're a B-plus realtor. You're a B-plus reviewer. a B-plus actor. But that ass though? Mmm. Oh. That's an A-plus. Mmm. Mmm-mmm-mmm. Greg and Zach are the hardest working pinball fellows in the entire community. As a community, we are grateful for all the time that you two hillbillies take away from neglecting your family or cow tipping or whatever rednecks do. In all seriousness, though, guys, thank you so much for creating all the content, spending all the time editing, and doing all the things that make us laugh and have fun in our hobby. To you and your wives slash cousins, thank you so much for 100 episodes, and we're looking forward to 100 more. oh I heard it's the hundredth episode of straight down the middle I don't even know what the hell it is that you told me I had to say that right what is it a pinball podcast oh a pinball podcast nobody cares congratulations on your hundredth episode I said nobody cares okay so stupid hey what's going on guys I just wanted to say congrats on 100 episodes So that's really cool. I just started watching your show maybe three months ago. I used to think you guys lived in some completely random city, but you guys actually live in my hometown pretty much. So that's awesome. One moment that kind of made me laugh on the show was, I guess, when Greg was having some kind of heated exchange with this guy on Pennside because the guy gave him an insulting lowball offer. and Greg said no. And the guy said, okay, I'll just give my money to someone who actually wants to sell their machine. And Greg said, hey, you don't have to be a dick about it. And then they kind of went back and forth. But I don't know why, but it reminded me of the Seinfeld episode where George said, yeah, well, the jerk store called. They're running out of you. Well, the jerk store called. They're running out of you. What's the difference? You're their all-time bestseller. Yeah? Well, I had sex with your wife! Keep up the good work, guys. Hopefully I'll run into you one day at Rec Bar. So, all right, guys, take it easy. Good luck. Hey, what's up, Zach and Greg? Yeah, it's Keith Caruso here. Hey, just want to say congrats to you guys. celebrating your 100th episode on SDTM? Can you believe it's been that long? I can't believe it, man. So some of my favorite moments, Greg, you got a little drool coming down your cheek there, man. What's up with that, dog? Really? And Zach? Dude, my sister can hit harder than you. Next time when you beat Greg's ass in pinball, you fucking give him a big old smack i got one more thing to say to you guys brick shot oh yeah hey next time you guys send out messages uh-uh you guys are not stern okay you're not stern pinball man next time pick up that goddamn phone you call me say hey can you just do us a solid you know just do a little quick video Don't text me, man. Pick up the damn phone. You fucking millennials. Sincerely, though, congrats, straight down the middle. You guys did your shit. Done 100 episodes. I look forward to another 100 episodes. Zach, Greg, this is Josh with the Loser Kid Pinball Podcast. I just wanted to say congratulations on episode 100. That is awesome, guys. Thanks for all that you do, for the great content. Keep it up. Congratulations. I love you. Hey guys, congratulations on your 100th episode Hey guys, just wanted to send a quick message to thank you for all your time and effort spent in the hobby educating us, entertaining us I tried to think for a week and a half of something more entertaining to say but this is the best that I got So Greg and Zach, congratulations on episode 100 and keep them coming. Hi, Zach and Greg. Just wanted to say congratulations on the 100th episode of Straight Down the Middle. You guys are awesome. What a great duo. You're the Laurel and Hardy of pinball. You've made the hobby so much fun. And I'll tell you what, all the way down from Paris in France, I've been watching every episode. It's been so much fun, so much looking for the next episode that I hope you continue to do great work. Congratulations and play some pinball. Congratulations on 100 episodes. Looking forward to many more. I wanted to share a couple of my great moments from your show. Two in particular. One is the Beverly Hills Cop. I'm a big fan of that, so that was a good chuckle. The other one is when you guys were in the car driving to a factory or something, I believe. I don't remember. But you guys were talking, and you were driving, looking over at Greg. And Greg said, motherfucker, we're the only two people in this car right now. So I know you're talking to me. You look straight ahead. But anyways, your guys' dynamic is great. And look forward to many more shows. take care hello hey zach and greg just wanted to congratulate you guys on your 100th episode you know what you guys have been amazing you've been great friends you've been such a great participation to the industry and since day one we've known each other before all this took off for both of us and you guys have been just so much fun and i really appreciate all that you guys do you've been there for me since the very beginning and you know what as long as people are talking about you good or bad you're relevant congratulations again as always thank you hi zach and greg this is the heart family we just want to take a second and congratulate you both on your 100th episode of straight down the middle of the pinball show on youtube we as a family have really gotten into your show and it's helped us in our new hobby of pinball and arcade machines We just wanted to say thank you and congratulations. In fact, we've learned quite a bit. Is there anything we've learned, Izzy? Yeah, shit. Chicago loves straight down the middle and Gomez. Congratulations, guys, on 100 episodes from the Star Wars Topper Guy. Hello, we're here from deep in the heart of Texas at Bucky's Truck Stop on our way to the SummerSlam in San Antonio to take the belt. We are the Belt and Triumph of Houston. And from all of us at Space City, congratulations on 100 episodes. Greg, bone, that's a lot of friends. I love most of those people. There was a gorilla. What? You know what? Transparency. No clue who the gorilla was. No. He's from Kansas City, I'm assuming? Yeah. No clue. No clue. We had monkeys, too. LTG had a monkey. JJ from Game Exchange is a monkey. Hey! Right? Matt Morrison. Love Matt Morrison. I love you, Matt. David Dennis, I believe. He really liked you. That ass, though. Thank you, David. He ripped on you. Said you're a B-plus all-around kind of guy. But I got that A-plus ass. Eh, whatever. Whatever. What did he say? I was a shill? Well, that's original. Oh. What about Dan? Dan Clemente with Ezra that's awesome he's really talented I thought it was so awesome wow that was really cool stick around at the end for the outtakes because he and Ezra have a little outtake too I love that Haper did a brick shop for us oh yeah and at the same time if you noticed Haper traveling through his game room showing off all his wonderful collections at the same time that I give you guys these props, I'm going to go around and give you a complete tour of my game room. At the Unobtainium Topper right there. Oh, man. Nicely done. I have to say thank you to my wife, Nicole, and one of my daughters, Zoe. I didn't expect that and then they sent it to me and I was like, oh, damn it, because Nicole is shy and you know her. She doesn't like being in front of the video and stuff. So, sweetie, thank you so much for supporting and I know that your family supports you doing the old straight down the middle, don't they? So they do or they don't? They do. You were like, what was that again? They did. They did. They did. First 20 episodes, they thought it was cute. At one point. They were like, oh, he's got pinball sheets. This is fun. Your brother supports it. He went to, what did he go to? Expo last year. And he was like, this is ridiculous. Yeah. Like, people come up to you and say hello to you. Like, you're nothing. They ridiculed me. For everything that you get from this show, I got ridiculed more from him and my wife the entire weekend of Expo last year than what Zach has gotten his entire fucking career in pinball. No joke. They were a little harsh on me. Poor Jeff Bone. We need to have Jeff Bone on this show. It's got to happen. Maybe we'll replace you with Jeff Bone. Good luck. We also had Brian Rieger. We had all kinds of people. I'm not going to be able to name all of them. Penn Stadium Scott. He was there. He's right. He was there from the beginning. He really was. And he's always supported us. He's always been nice. He's not said one ill word that I know of about anyone. No. About anyone. Works his ass off. And that's the thing. He keeps, he does. He can sit on a lot. He does. He's taken some flack. He's making wonderful products. Yep, he's just like, man. That's our kind of people, though. Let it ride. It is. Our kind of people. I agree. What about the little girl who learned from us? She learned a new saying there from Greg Bone. I'm sorry. I'm teaching your children bad habits. We're going to call her Little Ass Kicker from here on out. I loved it. Little Ass Kicker. That was honestly probably one of my favorite videos. I loved it. But, come on. The Star Wars topper guy. Doesn't even say his name. From the Star Wars topper guy. And you know what? But nobody would have known him by his real name. They know Star Wars. Oh, shit. That guy's famous. We still don't have a Star Wars topper. We really don't. And then special thanks to the Bells and Chimes. We love you ladies. Yes. And Houston. That was wonderful. Yes. Rally. Rally. Yeah. I met her and her husband. I was supposed to go have drinks with them. They're cool people. Something happened. They're fantastic people, dude. I love talking to them. They're so down to earth and super awesome. Hopefully we can hang out with them again soon at a show. Yeah. I'm sure we'll see them in Texas. You guys will be in Texas, right? Oh. Yeah. Hold up. Are you going to be in Texas? And this is somebody who I've actually like, I mean, I've got like a social media friendship with him. Good. Like we chat quite a bit. And I'm probably hacking this name up, but from Paris. Oh. Goleme. Goleme. Foo. Is it really? I haven't. There's no way that's right. It's got to be close. Gourmet food. Gourmet. I think it's... Guilhame. Guilhame. Maybe Guilhame food. He's such a sweet guy. Guilhame food. He's fucking awesome, dude. He's a sweet guy. One of the nicest... All the way from Paris. Yeah. We have friends and family everywhere. Yeah. Paris, France. Yeah. Australia. Yeah. You name it. Canada. I wonder if we have anybody from Germany. South Africa. Germany. South Africa. Yeah. I didn't know we had any South African friends. I could be wrong. How about that? Brazilian? I think... I think, honestly, it's maybe Brazilian. It was somebody that popped up somewhere. But they're all over the world. They're all over the world. That's fantastic. And hopefully we can keep growing it. Yeah. If you get some t-shirts done, maybe we can start sending some of those. All right, before we close out the show, we want to thank everybody again for providing those messages. We'll keep them forever. Some of them were mean, but we're the best sports and pinball, so we can take it and we can dish it right back out to you. Be looking forward. Coming up is Jurassic Park review. Yes. That's like next week. Are you ready for that? I am ready for it. Who's going to enjoy it? Oh, I'm not even going to tell them. We've got a couple guest reviewers that you guys know and you guys will want to hear from when it comes to reviewing Jurassic Park pinball. Is it or isn't it a B-plus game? You know what? That's like the tagline. To B-plus or not to B-plus. That is the question. That's kind of good. It was corny, but it was really good. I liked it. Thank you. That's what keeps the show going. We have a special thank you. Yeah. A very, very special thank you. Go ahead. Who's our special thank you to? All the way from California. A very special woman. She's been collecting pinball for, what, 20, 25 plus years? Her and her husband, Mike. Mary. Oh. Paris. Mary. Special consideration and shout out to you, sister, because we heard you're a big fan. so thank you so much well we heard you're a Greg fan so thank you very much for liking so a very special thank you for my side and she had a birthday not too long ago so happiest birthday to you wonderful and thank you for riding this hobby out so long that's right it's not always easy and sticking with Mike poor Mike oh well we have a another announcement Comet Pinball tell them about Comet Pinball Comet we're a little late to this but Comet revamped their website. Got a little bit new, easier to use format on their website. Same great products. Actually, more great products. I was going to say they keep adding. Again, for surely most of you that are in the industry are aware of Comet Pinball. If you're a fan of ours, you've got to buy Comet Pinball light bulbs. That's it. There's nothing better. Because this is an honest truth. I'm super happy that Stern, which I'll get into this in our review. That's all you need to know. I'm super glad that they went with a warm in there. But when I get my premium, I think I'm going to go all sunlight. I need just a little brighter. And that, yep. And I get all my Matrix stuff going on. I'm already stocked up. I'm ready to go. I'm already prepped for that premium. You should see like his drawers full of labeled I've got all my bulbs labeled. Everything. 2 SMD, 1 SMD colored. Sunlights warm, natural. Matrix strips. I've got my Matrix connectors all in one thing. I've got my spotlights all in one thing. Got clear flipper buttons. You can talk more to Greg about LED light bulbs and strips if you want. The Chicago Pinball Expo in Sweet Outer Chicago land area. Do you know what you get to look forward to? Where's that wheeling? Wheeling. Wheeling. Wheeling. We're going to have at the Flip N Out Pinball booth. Oh, God. What are we going to have? I have no clue. The opportunity to battle the bone. Battle the bone? Battle the bone. Chicago Expo 2019. We're going to set apart like two solid hours where you can come up and battle this bone. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Careful there, Tiger. Get your chance to take home some prizes, man. Hold on. Who's giving away the prizes? You can beat the bone. Who's giving away the prizes? Flipping out pinball. Oh, shit. Of course. Great promotional. Sponsors, help us. Maybe we'll call Stern. Stern gets the train lights for us. See, I can just spring some shit on you, too. Oh, great. so I'm giving away stuff to battle the bone. Yep, but you've got to beat the bone. You know we should give away some of your Jurassic Park memorabilia if you lose. I don't know about that. Maybe I'll play you on Jurassic Park. You know what? Are you going to have a Jurassic Park there? We'll see. Maybe. I'm telling people. Don't be stingy. I might. Don't be stingy. Maybe we'll give away t-shirts if Greg figures out how to make some, get some done. Hey, we do have some second run t-shirts we can give away. Free t-shirts! Great. Now all these people are going to be coming up. When you battle the bone. She's the second in the teaching. She's got to battle the bone and beat the bone. for a second-rate t-shirt. What was I going to call it before I called it Battle of the Bone? It was something... Own the Bone. Own the Bone. Do you want to own the Bone? Do you want to own the Bone? I don't know. Some of these ladies and a couple of gentlemen would like to own the Bone out there. Do you want your chance to own the Bone? Oh, man. With your pinball cologne on and everything. Beat the Bone. All right, so that's coming up mid-October. Make sure to get your tickets and come hang out with us at the Flip N Out Pinball booth and the Media Row, where we're going to be there shaking hands, kissing babies. probably once a day. You really did. Listen to this. This is drunk out. But literally, like, we made fun of Zach about that because he's so political.
