If combos had a little more value, I would be a lot happier because they feel really good to hit, but doing, like, a three-way combo and getting, like, 300 points is not great. it's really demoralizing, especially if you're, like, trying to get the... The ones on dialed-in are running at 20 volts. But it's the same coil. So what do I do to fix this issue?

    Well, you just got to snip some dials right off your driver board and then put them on the thingy and then run the 70 volts at 20 volts and disconnect the 20 volts, and then bam, everyone out.

If you could change it so it fires the right whatever bus or whatever the hell it is, I would think you wouldn't have to be screwing with the board.     First, there's a mistake on there. The 10,000 only was 1,000. So that was a bad thing. They missed the zero. And the colors were just washed out. So the play field has dark spots underneath it, and when the inkjet went over it, it doesn't cover it right.

    It almost looked like ghosting. Would that be a proper explanation, Zach? I have no idea if that's the word for it, but yeah. It looks like it. That's what it looks like. I mean, that's kind of the worst part, though, is, like, they scanned it in, and they didn't redraw the art for most of it. Like, you can see the ball squirrel from the original play field. They just printed it back out on the new art. Yep. And it was pretty bad. I was very disappointed. So when he said 1,000, I'm like, uh, I was being nice. Also, it's a digital printed play field, so it looks like shit no matter what. It does look like shit. So what? Okay. So, Zach, you have this hatred of the digital printing, digital back glass printing, all that. Yeah, I envy people who don't have good eyesight. Well, the problem is this. I'm going to go because I was in digital printing and everything like that. There's usually three speeds when printing for a digital inkjet printer on a large format style, which would be for play fields and for bigger stuff. There is economy mode. There is normal mode. and there's a high-definition mode, we used to call it in our product for Durst. And I feel like all these play fields I see that are printed digitally are printed on the fastest speed, which is not the best ink coverage. And you can actually see the lines from the heads, because the heads actually, there's thousands of nozzles in these heads. And they're shooting ink at a certain angle. And what happens is, the ink, once it hits an object, it's supposed to spread out and cover. And what happens is, it's only supposed to cover so much. So if you're doing it at a fast speed, the ink drops down, hits the wood, and only maybe goes out like a 16th of an inch or a 36th pixel, what they call a pixel. And it's not covering fully, and you see the lines actually from the heads. And the way the head is moving across the whole body. The play field stays in one spot. and the head is moving back and forth. And then, of course, if you go slower, more ink gets laid on there. It spreads out faster because it has more time between, and you get a better lay of the ink on the object, which would be wood here, laying down. And it just seems like everyone's printing it at the fastest speed, and I think it needs to be at the slowest speed.

    And as Zach said... Is it a cost thing? Oh, guaranteed, because you're laying more ink down. Well, between that, because you guys, I'm sure, would prefer Silk Screen. Yep. Oh, of course, yes. But it looks like nobody does that anymore. One company still does it. Not Playfields, but... Well, one company does Playfields, too, but... Yes, they do. That's good. Well, one less company does backglasses now, apparently, because Shea, who was like the major backlash reproducer and used to Silk Screen anything, is now apparently moving to digital. So the nice Genie repo backlash is going to buy, and that looks like complete shit. Yes. sign in by it. So, is it just cost? Is the silk screening way more expensive? Oh yeah, way more expensive, way more time consuming, and if you screw up any one of the four or three layers, you're screwed. And you can do big batches. Yes. With digital, you can just run whatever glass you want, one at a time. One at a time. Or to play field, one at a time, as long as you have the play field set up. You've got to actually get all the silk screens out, load them in the machines. Who still says silk screening? A company in Germany. The one that's doing these machines. Yeah. And then getaways and... Yes. They're doing social play fields. And they're screwing up. Yeah, then they have to fix stuff. Then they have to fix stuff. And they're very open about it. And they even show, like, each pass will post, like, today we did the whites on getaways. Like, they took a whole day just to print white on their play fields. What's the name of this company? Gutenberg, I think. Yeah. Something like that. So we have to go to a company in Germany to get self-screening now. Yes. They look very nice, though. They are very nice. and we'll see one soon when Mark gets his F-14 one. Well, he already has it in his getaway. Any silkscreen backglasses now? The only place I know that does silkscreen backglasses now is, like, Ron Webb, maybe? Yeah, I think Rob Wetzel does it, yes. He's, like, very small production runs, though. Yeah, and he's only doing old Gottliebs, right, if I remember correctly? Yeah, pretty much. Yeah. So that's why you don't see it from any comment. But if you're not that big of a fan. But if you look at the play field I posted on Slam Tilt on our Facebook page, and you look in the upper left-hand corner, you'll see the play field I'm talking about in the picture. I took a picture of it. And then later on, when I saw it up close, I was like, oh, wait a second, that's missing.

    And it was pretty scary. Everyone going to look at it now? Yes, they're all going to look at it now. Yes. Even in their cars. Yeah. The other thing, like, when you say a big area of flat color, when they silkscreen, like, they mix a whole bunch of that color, and then they print using it. Yes. Yeah, so it's a nice even color. But with printers, right, Bruce, they only have a few actual colors loaded in the ink heads? Well, no. It all depends on the brand. We had six colors, and when I left in 2005, they were bringing out eight color. But they have eight colors, and they mix those, right? You can, yeah. They just sort multiple colors in one spot, and it's supposed to mix together. So if there's a black or a white, they come out really nice because that's a pre-made color they already have. It's a pre-made color. Yeah. Whenever there's a solid area of color that's not one of their pre-made perfect colors, you'll see it's actually like a little grain pattern to it. You can see all the different colors. They spurt it out next to each other. It's slightly staticky looking. Yes, and it's not the best. I will say that. Especially on older stuff that have lots of areas that are large on colors because they used to be silk screened. It's super easy to see, and it just looks bad. Yeah, so if you look at the play field that I have on the Slam Tilt from May 4th on the Facebook page. The 3X, where in the middle upper left, where the OLLI figures are, you know, the body things, there's the 2X, 3X, 4X, and 5X. Underneath the 3X, it's supposed to say 10,000. It says 1,000, which is a big old oopsie.

    And somebody was going to get that oopsie. The inserts looked really well. I thought the inserts looked really good. Like, he was matching up inserts really well, and they looked, when you looked on them from the backside, they looked awesome. You mean at the registration, or? Not the registration. I'm just talking about the look, the color of them. Like, he was getting the right inserts. Like, you know how you see some aftermarket play fields, people complaining about the coloring and the inserts? These look right. They look good. The only thing I did notice was the text was a little off on the, if you look at the countdown one, the text for the 3X and 4X is too big. You mean on this lights in the middle? Yeah, lights in the middle. If you look at it. Yeah, that doesn't look right. And when lit is wrong, too. The Fonz is totally wrong. And that drives me up a fucking wall. Yeah, they're very clear, like, putting these out, like, super fast. Yeah, the Ali one looks good.

    But, yeah, I was disappointed. Well, to be more positive, what would you have to do to make this work? Get a really good play feel, get a good scan. No, the quality of the play feel doesn't matter because you need to redraw it all anyway. Yeah, exactly. If you're not drawing it, it's going to be bad. The quality of the wood should be better, though. There was a lot of darkness on that wood where you saw in the whites. You can actually see it almost in that picture. If you blow up on that picture, you know, it is, you can see it up in the upper left-hand side. You see it. It looks like it's white and then off-white and then white and then off-white right next to each other. I wonder if he's not putting, like, a masking layer underneath. He should be, but he's not. You should do all white first and then print your color over it. I agree. Totally, yes. I totally agree with that. If he was printing the color on wood, it would make sense. That's what he's doing. But even the white's bleeding through. Yep, so he needs, well, if you had white on white, that would help, too. It would, too. I agree, totally. So, yeah, it's just hard. It's not an easy process, and he's doing a good step towards it, but I think he needs to be better with the digital printing. Print better.

    It's not easy. I'm the first one to say it. I wouldn't want to do this. You know, I used to work with the machines, and the artwork is the hardest part. Some people might argue it's good enough. True. If you have no play field or you have a crap play field, you know, I totally agree with you. If you're going to do a half-assed job, you should charge half-assed prices. Yeah, exactly. Not $1,000. That's the same, like, Shea is going from the best in the industry, soap-screened back glasses to just crap half-assed digital stuff, but they charge the same amount. Yeah. I told the guy, he's like, oh, you don't want it? And I'm like, well, if it was, like, $200 or, like, $150, I'd buy it. You know, like, it'd still be better, but, like, I'm not paying $300-plus for a clearly damaged back glass. And then it shattered. Yeah. So he got this playfield home, and the playfield artwork is completely different. And it's awesome, and I'm glad he's going to have it and restore it and do it, but there's a lot more animals in Big Game on the playfield. Well, plus between the flippers, instead of the tiger, it's an elephant. It's an elephant, and it really was totally different. The theme is all there. It's still the same grid and everything like that. The bingo cards are the same. Exactly. All plays the same or anything, but it's all different artwork. Everyone's like, it's a fake, it's this, or it's a, you know, somebody redid it, or somebody did a play over, and no, it's definitely a prototype, which, congratulations, Tommy, that's fucking awesome. It's weird, like, remember when those pictures of Clone came out? Clone? Yeah, the second 3D Playfield Staron game after Orbiter 1. Oh, yeah, I remember that, yes, yes, after Orbiter 1. Yep. Yeah. Someone found a prototype of the next game they were making after Orbiter 1. Yep. Which actually looked pretty cool. It actually looked better than Orbiter 1. Totally. But, like, no one in any, like, previous talk with people who worked at Stern had ever mentioned Clone or ever mentioned this weird big game play field, you know, like, or even ever mentioned, like, the Laser Lord prototype that was found a while ago. And if you go to the actual YouTube and you type in prototype big game pinball machine, you'll see the play field. And it's totally different. The grid actually looks better because it's all white, so you don't have the rings around the grid. So if you had wear, it wouldn't be as noticeable. White all in front of the top two drop targets.
