P3 Multimorphic has been building up the hype on their upcoming title for months now. I mean, you've been seeing words being thrown around like Dream Theme, Licensed, and their best game to date. Then later on, it's revealed that Scott Danesi will be doing some audio for the game. And for those of you new to the hobby that don't know who Scott Danesi is, he did one of the best soundtracks for a pinball machine. and that was for Total Nuclear Annihilation. That's baby making music. So when we hear Scott is on board for this title, then naturally those of us within the hobby enthusiast are getting a little bit more faith in what P3 is bringing us. Then as of recently, Jerry started posting up some little tidbits on social media about how they're chiseling out the fine details, little stuff like that. I don't think they were so much hints, but they were just letting the public know that the future release of their title is just around the corner. Then we get a short video of a reaction from Fliptronic seeing this themed game for their first time. F***ing hell! No! F***! Well, I got my dream theme. Oh my god! Then some more time goes by and we finally get the reveal. What's up guys and welcome back to my channel where I talk and do everything pinball. If that sounds interesting to you, then hit that subscribe button down below. Now, before we get started, let me clear the air by stating that I do not have a problem with Weird Al. I grew up listening to his music. And, like, sadly enough, one of the songs that is my favorite is You Don't Love Me Anymore. I will put a link in the description down below if you've never heard it. It's still a song that, to this day, I will randomly start singing. I don't know why. I have seen his movie UHF. I think I've maybe only seen it twice. it's actually available on Amazon Prime if you have not seen that just to get a little more idea of what you're looking for when it comes to I guess his style satire wise and everything and parody so that just kind of gives you more idea if you are curious there you go it's not a dream thing not for me and I get it when they say it's a dream thing because technically anything could be a dream thing for someone does that technically make it a dream theme because there are people out there that would consider it then okay if that is the rule then okay i guess it's a dream theme it's just not my dream theme but nothing against weird al i just don't think that the theme alone the theme alone doesn't sell me on getting this title but the things i am seeing do interest me. This is the most interested I have ever been in a P3 multi game Heist their previous big release title I saw that game and was like okay cool they taking a step in the right direction when it comes to getting those of us that are not into p3 more interested because they're starting to put more mechanics and make it more closer to pinball because i think what turns a lot of us off on p3 is that it seems very much like digital pinball because there's that giant screen down below and i think that's definitely what's like keeping people away from the system and if they're going by their previous titles their earlier titles i can also see that because especially if you compare their first titles to this game this is definitely a major improvement this is the closest i've seen it to, I hate to use the word real pinball, because they've always used real pinballs, but this is the closest I've seen it to where it looks like a full-fledged pinball machine with the screen. I mean, you have certain people that complain about the screen being on the play field and blah, blah, blah, but you got to think about it. I get what you're saying, but if you look at almost every pinball machine ever where is the majority of the mechanics at where's the majority of the shots the back third of the play field which is the portion that gets removed and swapped out on the p3 multimorphic system not to mention you have that area that splits between the screen and the mechanical removable modulation portion and it's got these little portions that come up out of the play field that add an extra layer of difficulty or tasks and coding and stuff like that. And I feel like I'm trying to sell you on the P3 system, guys, when I personally don't own one or have any kind of like anything in the game on this. I am just stating that this is the most excited I've been about one of their titles before, because it looks like more mechanical devices are on this machine. The spinning hamster wheel, the UHF camera, and all the shots, and the fire flipper system, and I think a theme, a silly theme like this, has something to do with it as well. I think the other thing that has been always the stickler for the P3 system is the price. It's always been more expensive than every pinball machine on the market. The base price for your basic P3 system is $8,300. And if you wanted to get the Weird Al's Museum of Natural Hilarity, that's a $3,000 modulation system that gets put into your base model. So if I wanted Weird Al, I'm looking at $8,600. If I wanted the LE version of Weird Al, then I want to say that's going to be $8,700. If I do my math correct, I'm not doing that well. But it's like an extra $1,800. So $4,800. Get there faster. No. I'm doing horrible at math. is nowhere near the prize So then you got your 3 on top of that so you looking at 11 bucks i mean oh man why can i not do math 11 for weird owls base model so then you top it off with an extra 800 on top of that this is pathetic this is absolutely pathetic 8300 plus 3000 for the base model plus another 1800 if you wanted to get the le you're looking at 13 100 it's been a long day guys i don't feel like doing math now so looking at 13k for the le version of this title and here's the sad thing guys and as well as most of you know who are deep within this hobby is that other pinball manufacturer pricing is getting closer and closer to what the base model of a p3 multimorphic system is it's creeping on up there man it also states that existing p3 owners will need to install a left and or right side target flipper assembly both sold separately so you may be looking at more than 13 grand when it comes to getting p3 multimorphic with weird al so when it comes to mechanical and design i'm liking what i'm seeing i haven't really been able to see it shoot just straight up like i'm watching a stream i don't know when or if we are going to be seeing that um maybe fliptronic might be doing something with them in the future because they are nearby so it would make sense so if i was a betting man we'll probably see a stream from them in the near future but design wise i'm liking what i'm seeing it looks very interesting like i've already said it looks to be their best one yet aesthetics the art looks good i have no problems with the art from what I've seen so far. The LE package, I like the colors better on it because it's got the orange and I'm just kind of biased towards the orange. So the LE package looks pretty darn good. The topper on it is pretty darn cool looking, I must say, as well. The LE. Exclusive art package for cabinet, speaker panel, side target cover, slingshot plastics, apron, magnet. Exclusive trans light autographed by Weird Al. See, that's what should be on every le including those rush fans out there that just dropped a pretty penny for their rush machine and the price they spent there should have been some autographs from the band members on there the two that are remaining but still they should have had something like that getting off my soapbox so interactive and motorized topper cool game specific accessory items. So who all is involved in this game? Creative Director, Stephen Silver. Artwork by Matt Andrews. Software, Michael Ocean, Greg Goldey, and Gerry Stellenberg. Graphics, Rory Sornuta. And Stephen Silver, Mechanical Engineer, TJ Weaver. Sound, Scott Denisey. Rules Advisors, Bowen Kerins and Colin MacAlpine Content Advisors Frank Serpitz III and Will Beals So there your list of all those involved in the makings of this game And now I know that since you have Bowen and Colin on the rules, that's going to make it pretty interesting as well. There's going to be 17 songs in this game, so that's a pretty good amount of tracks. A lot of them are pretty well known, some of them not so much. but I think a lot of them that I think everyone's glad that they're going to see is My Bologna Like a Surgeon Dare to be Stupid, Amish Paradise White and Nerdy yeah I'll Sue You, yeah, I'll Sue You is going to be kind of nice, I think it's going to have a nice little good riff to it and everything while you're playing this game, yeah I think you've got a pretty good song list here too, over 2,000 voice call outs from Weird Al So that must have been interesting recording. Seven ball launch system. Five flippers. Woo! Right lift ramp with six possible destinations and a magnet diverter accelerator. Wow. I'm not going to go over rules because that is the quickest way to make a majority of you fall asleep. So if you want to know about the rules, I will definitely put a link down in the description below. It looks like we go through a whole giant list of things right here on This Week in Pinball. so feel free to read through that and see if that interests you so my thoughts on this game are that this will be jerry's best seller you've got a theme that's going to speak to a lot of people especially those around my age because like i said i grew up with weird al it's not a dream theme for me but it is a dream theme for certain people out there i think the theme in general being silly parody wacky polka is perfect for pinball i think when it comes to the shots and layout for what i'm seeing so far it does look interesting i i want to see it full-fledged action i'm sure we'll see a stream soon i cannot wait to play it next month to really get a good idea on how I feel about it. Alright guys, you've heard my opinion, so what are yours? Leave me some comments down below, let me know what you think about P3 Multimorphic's new game. We've been together for so very long But now things are changing Oh, I wonder what's wrong Seems you don't want me around The passion is gone and the flame's tied down You know I lost a little bit of self-esteem That time that you made it with the whole hockey team
