What's up, guys? We're here at the Flipper Room in Conquered, California. Have the wonderful Cameron. Yes. Yes. From Finall Pursuit. Dr. C, otherwise known as Cameron. Uh, just here checking out the space. I've been here one other time, but uh first time here in the evening. First time doing any type of competition here. So, super excited. Yeah. We're doing some pinball league stuff. Oh, yeah. So, we're going to go ahead and tour the space. Tour the space cuz we already were in there, but you guys haven't been there. Exactly. And this place is incredible, guys. Yeah, feel free to walk wherever, too, cuz it's the 360. Okay. So, like you can even be in like I'm going to go ahead and change this to show the front of us, but you can be like wherever. Um, you can stand there. You can stand here. And I can always readjust it to see. Amazing. But this is like the main This is the main area. I mean, look at this art. This is incredible. Like Mike Mike is the owner, correct? right there. He's right over here. There's Mike. Uh his art style and what he's got going on in here is just nuts. It is so cool. Look at all these little nuts. And look at this. You got a pinball machine for a desk. So much cool stuff. I love our little Beetlejuice stuff over here. Little gremlins, you know, all that. All this pinball art like this one. I love this one. And then we have ice cream. And then we have like the pinball the cabinet and with the working plunger. Yes. So fun. Absolutely incredible. So, they're still doing a little bit of league out here. Yeah. So, a little bit noisy, but I love how we have different rooms that are kind of dedicated to different eras, I feel. And that is so cool. So, this here is the modern era. Absolutely love it. Got some games I've played for the first time ever here. Never played a P fiction before tonight. Never played a fiction. I played it right before we started doing some of the league stuff. Sweet. So much fun. Yeah, it's amazing. I got the ponchot multiball. Oh, nice. It's always good to get a multiball. Exactly. Right. First game multiball. Loving it. Haven't tried this Ultra Man yet, but I'm excited to try that one out. Try Ultram Man. Yeah, it's a fun game. And then I love this. This is the same guy that had Art there. This is like some of my favorite like just to have that little little split. Yeah. with the flipper button, everything on there. Most of the art here, too, has like the price points, which is nice as well, cuz then if you're looking for art, if you're looking for art for your pinball room, this is the place. This is where you go. This is the place. I love the different backlight. I love how he has black. Yeah, the black light art. They also have the insider connected. Oh, yeah. Got to have Yeah. Love the insider connected leaderboard and then tiny pinball. Like you got baby Pac-Man and then Super Mario. These ones are kind of rare, too. Yeah, I've played the Super Mario Brothers one before. Oh, cool. Super cool. My little nephew loved it. He was so in love. Yeah, those games getting to play are are fun. They're like a little treat. I love how we have the Stranger Things lights in here. Yes. Just like And he's got his Stranger Things machine is decked out with mods. Yes, that Stranger Things actually does have a lot of mods in it. It's beautiful. So much fun. I played that a little bit before you got here. And Yeah, it's a great game. Such a good game. Like I think it's a little underrated in the community. I, you know, when I first played it, I didn't like it. And then now I do really like it. So, I'll tell you a story. The game the game that was like, "Oh, looks cool." When me and my wife were getting into this uh about a year ago was Stranger Things, it was when that ramp came down and that demo was there, I was like, "Oh, pinball's cool." Yeah, this is different. I need to look into this whole hobby. And that's that moment, that pinball moment was like the initial of the fight. That's just the demogorg actually got. Yeah, exactly. The demogorg. Oh my gosh. I don't even watch Stranger Things. I've watched the first episode. Um I I don't like scary. Oh, but I do like the game. I'm not a huge scary fan, but I love Gremlins. It's like my favorite show. And it has that '8s vibe. Yeah, it's got that nostalgia to it. That's why I think it's a really a really good chef. Love it. I'm so excited for the next season. Yeah. I mean, I don't watch, but I know people are excited. I'm excited for people to be excited. Maybe we get some new and then uh it's one of the rentals that my wife and I have scheduled something here. So, we're going to have it. I'm going to make a tutorial. It's going to be super exciting. We're very excited for it. I love this area with like the jungle vibe. Got jungle vibes. I mean, just like in general, this place just has the vibes, you know? Like he's got the vibes in here. He's got like the dungeon area over here with Elvra with his Rob Zombie and Shadow. Super cool. I played Adam's Family Tonight and had one of my worst games ever on it. So I played Shadow and I had a wor I love this thing here. the notes of a movie star in it. And it's got like a little a little turn style. Oh, that's right. Oh, that's great. Um, this room just has some older classics as well. You got a Banzai Run, Genesis, and Swords of Fury. Yeah, I had played Swords of Fury once. I need to put a game on this before we leave cuz I've never played Bonsai. I've never played in I love that it has two plays. Yes. It's a very heavy game. Oh, I can imagine. Yeah. Yeah. That must be a beast. But it's so fun. So when you shoot there, that's when you can go up. Okay. So it just and it shoots it up and then it it um No, it like takes that little guy there and he's like a magnet and then he drops it up and he drops it. Yeah. And and then and then you try to get up there to red hot. That's nuts. Yeah. It's uh it's pretty cool. The games the lineup is really great. Yeah. Mike just has such a great space. Thank you, Mike, for having such a great space. Yeah. Yeah. We're here just touring your games. Touring your games. Touring your incredible space. You know, talking about your Stranger Things being all decked out. I love your your Stranger Things. Yeah. We don't mod much, but that one is pretty good. That one is decked out, but I love it. I love what you did with that. Um, and then just we'll just go through this last Yeah, let's go through this last section. This is like his old school section. We got the Flash Gordon, the original Alvara Party Monsters, our little plat. Way more art over here. I'm fantasy. Yeah, way more art. Yeah, just Algar. I like this one. I just love the art here. It's good. It's crazy. It's crazy art. It's super fun. So, anyway, that's the tour of the flipper room. Yeah. Yeah. This is the flipper room. This is the flipper room. Um, I mean, I did really bad in league tonight. I Okay, how many points did you end up with? Four, which means I got it last every single time. I did not have a good league. Um, I had 10 10 points. Double digits. So, I got in double digit barely. Um, apparently I played with somebody who's in a top 100. Oh, IFPA player. So, that um that'll do it. Uh he got like 10 million on Swords of Fury and 300 million on X-Men. So yeah, I was doomed from the start. Pretty good player. Yeah, doomed from the start. It's kind of hard when you don't know how to get on the more modern games, too. Like I feel like the older games you can kind of like finagle your way up into some high points. But on the modern games, if you don't know, if you don't know the rule set, you're you're done for. Goodbye. You're done for. Yeah. Someone else. On the older games, if you have a bad plunge, there's no bossing. Yeah. Yeah, it's just I had some house ball. I had two house balls on Bali where I plunged nothing and got nothing. Uh I had one of those on I was playing Ali and Yeah, I had one of those where I plunged down the out lane. I got like 10 points. Yeah, my games tonight was Water World. Okay. Um Swords of Fury, Jaws. Oh, I would love to have Jaws. I know. And I'm wearing all the Jaws. I know you got your Jaws gear here. I'm going to grab this. Yeah. Yeah. Check this jaw. You're out like and her. If you look at her shoes, they even match. She got the shoes. I got the fit. I got the jaws fit. And I still got last. You still got last on Jaws. That's sad. Whatever. It's fine. That's pinball. Pinball doesn't care. Pinball doesn't care about my feelings. It's fine. I got So, I had X-Men, which I've only played two other times, so that was not great for me. Uh, I had Ali, which I never tried before. I had Adam's Family, which I played Everyone's played Adam's family and stunk and then I had uh Swords of Fury. Oh, okay. So, I had a decent I got multiball on that one and that one was fine, but the other people beat me. So, I was third, third, third, fourth. Mhm. I realized I didn't play Swords of Fury. I think I in my head you said Oh, I said it. You said it and then I thought I played No, I played the Shadow. Oh, shadow. So, maybe I said it, but in my head I feel like I said it. That's Brian Eddy's first, right? Yeah, the Shadow. Yeah. I don't know. My pinball history on that one is a little Yeah. No, but so anyway, yeah, that was League night. This is my third time ever playing competitive pinball. Oh, what? Oh, that's so cool. Third time's a charm. Third time's a charm. Was not a charm for me. Well, you know, you get better. And the people here in the Bay Area, there's a really competitive I mean, I met so many cool people. There's probably in this league alone several people in the top of like 2,000 or something. Yeah. just incredible players all over the place. Just seeing them play so cool. And they're super super friendly. So this league format was we got four games assigned to us. Sorry. We had four games assigned to us. Um so you don't get to pick it, but in another league I play, you decide which games you're going to play. Really? So like I said, this is my third time. I'm playing in a league home in Utah. And in that one, it is six games. You don't get to choose. Oh wow. but they're playing in people's private collection. So, every week is at a different person's like private. So, depending on what somebody has, you could be playing really old games. You could be playing all brand new games. So, it's kind of interesting to see. And, you know, some people have their stuff modded. Um, it's been really fun just to see games that I've never seen before um as they're doing stuff. Oh, that's cool. Yeah. I think when you're around different collections, right, you get a chance to kind of like, okay, who has what? And that is probably really cool getting to see all these personal collections. It is. It is. And it's interesting to see them. Oh, 100%. It's interesting to see some people definitely just get whatever they can and some people it's like very like we went to one person who had every not every but most of the stern rock and roll themes. So it was just, you know, it was Iron Maiden, it was Rush, it was Metallica, like all the rock and roll pins. And I blew up Rush. It was great. That's always a good feeling when you can blow up. I know. When you do Well, yeah, it was great. And then he also had stuff that was for kids. So we had like TDM, which not a great game for kids, but the theme was good. And Avengers and stuff like that. So Scooby-Doo, we had a Scooby-Doo. So anyway, it's cool to see what people what people get. Yeah. And like coming together, but it's fun. Gives it gives it to be a little bit different each time. Exactly. Cuz sometimes when I feel like you're in the same place and the selection isn't a lot, you kind of get a little stale. And in this this uh league as well, you don't choose your group. You get assigned four people or maybe three depending how many people have attended. But you get assigned four random people. And then from what we do is we follow the group. So if you're first on the first game, you'll be second on the next, third on the la, third, and then fourth. So everybody kind of rotates to being first on. So if you were fourth on the first machine, you're going to be first on the next first on the last one. Oh, last one. Yeah. Yeah. So it's definitely an interesting format. Um match play is what this one's called. So, um, and yeah, I got teamed up, I think, with somebody who's in the top 200 from what I understand. Yeah, he's really good. He blew it up. Yeah, blew it up. So, it's so fun to watch somebody play like that and just see, oh, that's what I could be doing. Yeah. And maybe afterwards, too. I mean, some people that I play with after a game, they'll tell me what they did to like to like blow it up. Yeah. But not all the time during will someone tell you what the skill shot is. And if they do, that person is very nice because they're also like knowing that they're against you. I don't know. It's just different. It depends. Exactly. I share sometimes. I I'll share because I know I'm terrible. You're just like, I know I'm not going to win. I know I'm not going to win. But I know if you get That's how you do. Exactly. You could beat me. Yeah. Don't do what I do. But here's what you should do. Yeah, definitely. Oh my gosh. Well, this is really fun next. Yeah. Yeah. Um just looking at the league here and you know we might be doing more of these cuz I travel here every 3 weeks. So definitely we should Yeah. Yeah. Let me know and we can play some more League. Exactly. And I can get my wife here next time. Mrs. Jay will be here and we can do that. Oh my gosh. I'd love to meet her. Yeah. Well, thank you guys. We're signing off in the flipper room, but we'll see you on the next one. Yeah. Thanks everyone. Keep flipping. Yeah.
