TL;DR

Cary Hardy analyzes leaked Rick and Morty cabinet art and updates on personal projects.

Summary

Cary Hardy discusses recent personal updates including a large pre-Christmas purchase and upcoming merchandise on Silver Ball Swag, then analyzes leaked Rick and Morty pinball cabinet artwork from Spooky Pinball. He reconstructs the cabinet art design from trailer snippets and leaked Pinside images, identifying auto-launch mechanism, multiple flipper buttons, and character artwork placement. Hardy expresses optimistic expectations for the game's mechanical depth and theme utilization given Scott Denise's design freedom and Total Nuclear Annihilation's success.

Key Claims

  • Rick and Morty pinball will feature auto-launch mechanism rather than traditional shooter rod

high confidence · Direct observation from leaked image: 'This is going to be an auto launching mechanism so it just going to be a push button to launch your ball onto the plate'

  • The leaked image showing Rick and Morty artwork came from Brian, a friend of Spooky Pinball, and remained online without being taken down by Spooky

medium confidence · Hardy states 'twip did basically announced...that the image was in fact through brian who's a fellow friend of spooky pinball and evidently since it didn't get took down a bunch of stuff happened then i guess it's okay that the image got out'

  • Scott Denise was given freedom/creative latitude on Rick and Morty design based on Total Nuclear Annihilation's success

medium confidence · Hardy speculates: 'since they know that total nuclear annihilation did so well, then they're like, hey, you know what? Go crazy with this machine'

  • Rick and Morty cabinet artwork is visible in trailer but only in zoomed-in segments, obscuring the full design

high confidence · Hardy explains: 'under close observation we've essentially already seen this cabinet before if you have watched the trailer to the game then you have seen the artwork that is on this cabinet just not in its entirety'

  • Hardy has merchandise (shirts with his logo) coming to Silver Ball Swag website in the near future pending artwork approval

high confidence · Direct statement: 'you will be seeing some of my swag on the Silver Ball Swag website in the upcoming future...I have submitted the artwork or logo and mock-ups are being performed'

I've never... mother... why? Why? When I record a video, that's when everyone wants to contact me. It just keeps going. Leave me alone, people. Leave me alone. What's up, guys, and welcome back to my channel where I talk and do everything pinball. So if that sounds interesting to you, then slam that subscribe button down below. Another quick video to give you a couple of updates as well as my quick mock-up job for what I believe the Rick and Morty pinball machine cabinet will look like. So first update is that yesterday I made a large purchase and I'm hoping to get this item at the house before Christmas. so I can hopefully make this some content as a Christmas special. And this content is going to be, I think, very pertinent for those of you really interested in my channel and machines that I have and stuff like that. So I'm hoping to do something for you guys special this Christmas, and as well as it's going to be a gift for me as well. So hopefully I get this item in the mail this week. I really don't know how long it's going to take to get here since it is a large item, and I've never ordered from these people before. So it's kind of a, I don't know, we're going to see what happens. Another update is that you will be seeing some of my swag on the Silver Ball Swag website in the upcoming future. Now, I don't have an actual date or anything like that. essentially where we're at right now is that I have submitted the artwork or logo and mock-ups are being performed and stuff like that. So it may be a little while, but in the near future, you will have the ability to purchase a shirt with my logo on there. All right, so now on to the main reason why you probably clicked on this video in the first place, and that would be to talk about Rick and Morty Pinball via Spooky Pinball's new machine. Now, I put out a video last week, a mere couple of hours after the game was initially announced via YouTube through their trailer. Now a couple of those things that I did point out through the trailer some of you did not even notice and that is the actual portion of a pop bumper in the play field that evidently is in fact part of the game Now, a few days after that, an image was uploaded onto Pinside that I was going to do a video about immediately, and I was like, I'm going to hold up for a little bit more information just to kind of see how this pans out. but not much more information has unveiled although twip did uh basically announced a lot more information to today that the image was in fact through brian who's a fellow friend of spooky pinball and evidently since it didn't get took down a bunch of stuff happened then i guess it's okay that the image got out so and here is that image right here let me bring that up so this is the image in question that got brought up to pin side now it's a hammer you think but if you zoom in closely let me uh zoom in here and then we're gonna look in the background here why oh why so if i get it right about there yeah you should be able to see everything right there so it's one of those things if you don't know what rick and morty essentially looks like and how the artwork style is then you probably wouldn't notice what this looks like and stuff like that because it's in the background but this is in fact rick and morty under close observation so what this game shows us now is that it's got at least three pinball flipper buttons two on the right and at least one on the left obviously but chances are we're going to have another one on the other side as well but who knows it may just be a magnus save for one side like you typically see in a black knight or something like that i don't know will we have a lower play field will we have an upper play field i don't know how in depth that they're going to go with this game it's going to be kind of interesting to see the freedom that was given to denise on this game And, you know, since they know that total nuclear annihilation did so well, then they're like, hey, you know what? Go crazy with this machine, you know, kind of thing. And that's what I'm hoping for. I'm hoping that they gave Denise the ability of a lot of freedom to do all kinds of nifty things on this machine because he's got a lot of content to work with here, guys. So what can we get from just this image right here? Well we get that we do not have a shooter rod This is going to be an auto launching mechanism so it just going to be a push button to launch your ball onto the plate and the fact that we have multiple clipper buttons over two at least and we get a glimpse of what the cabinet looks like and the thing is here guys is that under close observation we've essentially already seen this cabinet before if you have watched the trailer to the game then you have seen the artwork that is on this cabinet just not in its entirety it's broken up in mere segments and kind of zoomed in for us not to be able to see the artwork in full but due to my somewhat decent photoshopping skills i was able to manufacture a quick and i say quick literally it took me a few minutes just to do this a quick mock-up of what i believe this cabinet is going to look like and here we are so like i said it's quick please excuse the crudity of this model i didn't have time to build it to scale or to paint so this is essentially i'm taking um like a stern cabinet so the cabinet's obviously not going to be exactly like this but um the artwork is essentially lined up the same way you have Rick and Morty going through a portal right here close to the flipper buttons. You're going to have the dogs. Let me go back and forth here so you can see that I'm not just pulling shit out of my ass. So you have the green portal right here. And that's right there. Then you have what looks like the yellow pinball machine right here towards the rear. And I have got that right there. and then you have the two-headed beast right here and I've kind of got that in position as well right here and you've got what looks like the portion right here above this this long piece with the wings and still I haven't gotten caught up on Rick and Morty guys so there's probably names to all these characters and everything. I don't know them yet. And then you have, yeah, so this is the portion that I took. So this is all the artwork that they show us in the trailer. You have this snippet, this, and then this So this is actually what we going to see on the cabinet this is just kind of zoomed in and it it not exactly the same proportions as what the cabinet is but this is this is all the artwork that we're going to see on the side of the machine and i have merely just kind of like mocked it up real quick and put things together and due to the fact the way it zoomed in literally I don't have any idea what goes right here in this bottom portion, so it's just kind of pink right there. And this is cut off the way it is because that's what they give us. The artwork is very cut off, so we don't see the legs of the dog and everything and the legs of the machine and stuff like that because that's just what they show us on that trailer. So this is just, like I said, to give you guys an idea of what I believe the cabinet artwork is going to look like for Rick and Morty. What do I think of it? I think it's going to look good. I really do. I have a little bit of high expectations for this machine because I feel like since the show is so crazy that this game can be crazy. It's going to be very animated mechanically and artwork wise. But I'm keeping my hopes down. I'm wanting to wait and see what this game's got inside. But all I'm saying is merely that there is a lot of potential to this game. Now, whether or not that's going to be completely, you know, actually done, are they going to utilize all that potential? That is yet to be seen. So what are your thoughts? Do you feel like they are actually going to utilize all the potential to this theme? I've really got to get started on watching the show. I think I'm actually going to start that here pretty soon. So if you like what you've seen here, give me that thumbs up. And if you haven't already, hit that subscribe button down below. That way you can be notified of whenever I upload something for your viewing pleasure. Until next time, guys. Peace out. So now that you've had a few more days to really absorb what this theme is and...
