Welcome in everybody.
Here we are
to the Wild Dog Arcade. That's Ed
and I'm Gary.
Yes, here we are. Welcome in everyone. Thank you for that sub earlier there, Llama and Firewing. Welcome in. And everyone else that's lurking. Glad you can join us. We've got a lot to talk about tonight.
Yeah. So, so as many of you know, we were off for a little bit because went to the Chicago Pinball Expo.
Yes.
Played a lot of new games, played a lot of cool homebrew games, and
we got a big list here.
Yes.
Of things we've played. So, uh, a lot of these are new to us. So, some of them may may not be brand spanking [music] new, but the first time we've played them,
right?
Uh, we're going to do some quick review of some of the game uh, and other things,
and we'll be talking to you guys. So, uh, give us any questions or any feedback or, you know, [clears throat] what your thoughts are on the games are. This is kind of a open forum for everyone so that, uh,
we can all [music] get a little have a little fun with it tonight. TK Turk, how's it going? Cammy, how are you? Top Bob, welcome in. I wonder if meeting me is uh, well, honestly, meeting everyone out there that uh, said hi to us and if I miss anyone, um, [music] you know, let us know that we missed you. Also, uh, sorry if we stayed a little longer on the machines because we were playing really good.
Yeah.
So, we'll have to make a note of that. On there was one game in particular I felt really bad about. [laughter]
I had I had a killer game on Avatar and this couple was standing behind us and Ed was actually playing really good, too. [music] So, it took us [clears throat] a while on that game.
It did, but we had so much fun. It's a great game. Uh, hey there, Ultimate. Hello. Hello. [music] Um, but yeah, we'll be talking about all that sort of stuff. And then I think the first thing we're actually going to uh talk [music] about is the general content itself.
Um so we'll jump into that here in a little bit. [music] And then as we work our way through, we're going to do everything in alphabetical order tonight of all the games that uh we have went ahead and played or we saw and filmed. Um here we go. Here's [music] the opening to this. And you can let us know the volume is not quite high enough.
It's only a small [music] portion here. here.
Ask your doctor how pinball can help you. [laughter]
My wonderful face. I know.
Yeah.
Had to do something a little weird and out of the ordinary to open everything up. But uh here we go.
On the screen,
start over. Yeah. Well, you know, if you hit reload, then and fortunately the load the uh the ads will load up again. But yeah.
Um but yeah, we got a few things here to kind of look at. some of the sites to see some of the wares that were being sold here at the expo. Here's Stern's uh booth.
Yep.
They had a uh Darth Vader holding a pumpkin with a lightsaber coming out of it.
Mhm.
Question from Chad. What is the When is the Wild Dog machine coming?
Great question.
Great question. This winter, we're going to get back heavily on the design of it. Um we'll see how it progresses. So,
yeah. Well, we're working on it. I mean, we did uh as you may or may not know, we have a book released that is tied directly into the pinball that we're making. Oh, here's uh Bash Pinball, by the way. We ran into that to them a couple of times. Awesome fellows. So, it's great to see them. But
the book,
that is the book.
That is the book. So, check it out. We'll give you more info or uh
chat will stream. Yeah, streambot will give us some more stuff. So yeah,
there's a barrels of fun line to Winchester Mystery House among other games.
Mhm.
Um
yeah, that line was long the entire weekend.
Yeah, I think uh what was it? Uh Tilt something had one as well. We played over there.
Uh Flipping Out.
Flipping Out.
Flipping Out. Yeah, that was the one we played a couple of times and the line was actually shorter cuz everybody was go we're going to go to the booth. But yeah, they actually had things.
TK Turk, I do I agree with you there. I I think they
Oh, barrels of fun. Yeah.
Yeah. I think they they stole the show.
I think so, too. Predator had a decent booth as well, though. Pinball Brothers. Um, and we'll again talk more about the details in the in the pins in a bit. Here's Portal's line. And here's the front entrance to the homebrew section where a lot of the entrances,
the the homebrew section was actually pretty impressive this year. There were a lot of homebrew pinballs and they're getting better and better and better.
Yeah. So, so shout out to Marco for kind of taking the reigns on this and also doing some neat things like uh giving free stuff away towards the end of the con. Here's uh Max [laughter]
Godzilla
aka Godzilla running into the camera. He barely saw me,
but it was okay. And
yeah,
had to do it. Sorry. [laughter]
Uh Firewing, no, we did not play Alien. Uh Pinball Brothers did not even bring Alien. They only were promoting their Predator game.
Yeah. Amazingly enough. But I mean, we have Alien here. So,
Alien is out of production. Yes. So, yeah. So, that Hence, they're not going to bring it to try to promote a game they aren't selling anymore. So,
yeah. Um, we haven't talked about Winchester yet, Enzo. What we're going to do is we're going to name go through all the different pins in alphabetical order by their name.
Yeah. So, we didn't want to play favorites, so they're just in alphabetical order. So,
here's Monster League Hockeyy's little shindig that they had. a little party going on towards the end of the uh con. Um had a lot of fun there as well. It was great to meet all the folks um that you know made the whole thing possible. I mean a growing community, the homebrew community. Here's incredible
making a guest appearance.
Yes. Incredible. [laughter]
We didn't know he was there and then he ran into us first and oh my god I didn't recognize you almost. [laughter]
Did Godzilla play Godzilla? Not that I was aware of. I didn't see him.
Oh, he did. I think there were pictures that were on the internet of that. So, of course,
Corbin's at Sonic. Yep.
Yep. There he was. Oh, hey there. Strange Auto. How you doing? It was nice to talk to you at the Dune Line. Yeah, it was good to see you as well. Definitely glad uh you guys all said hi to us. And
again, if we missed you, sorry. There's a lot going on at the at the con in general. Yeah. Um, here's uh I think Jersey Jacks and we earlier we did see a little bit of American Pinball there. Not much left of
They're just trying to They're just trying to sell the last of the games they've produced.
Yeah. So, here's me, of course, doing my silly thing in front of the little flame. Uh, did you get a Winchester Flyer at least?
No, we did not get a Winchester Flyer.
Oh, a Flyer. Yeah, I don't think they have them mounted. Or maybe they did. I Yeah, I don't recall getting
Oh, wait. This is the mother ship.
Yes. They actually had it working this year, although it was broken at the time we approached it to play it,
right? It's
like one of the biggest uh
And I still can't get over this topper. I love the topper from Ellis.
Yep.
And this, of course, randomly comes on the TV while we're on in our hotel room at the last day.
Yeah. I didn't know this was something on ESPN. Maybe it was a news earlier and people were aware of it, but uh one of the tournaments evidently was on ESPN and they replayed it. So, more pinball to air on espn in the future. We will have to see.
We will have to see. Yeah, that is for sure. And that was all this we kind of just wanted to show you the general convention. So,
so yes. So, that's sort of a little sort of little icebreaker if you will. Yeah. Yeah, that was the chess cat there.
Yeah, that was the uh [clears throat] Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, the the big game from Dutch Pinball.
Yes, we're able to walk around just about any game.
Speaking of the not big game,
yes,
we have Alice Goes to Wonderland. Let's go to Wonderland.
So, this is the flat pack pinball machine by Wonderland Amusements here.
Wonderland and Firewing. Yeah, we we pretty much were able to play pretty much anything. We did have to wait here and there, especially in the middle of the day, but but yeah, here you go. Here's Alice in Wonderland. Showing a little bit of the underlying uh under belly of the play field here to someone else. And we're kind of We did get a chance to jump on here in a moment and play a little bit of it.
Yep.
And uh
we did get this pretty early in the convention. Mama says it was broken every time she went over there.
Oh, really? Oh, boy. Uh it it it shot okay.
He said it kind of works. Yeah. The the fellow that helped us out, he said the the machine that we're looking at is apparently an older model. And so there were some
earlier prototype,
right? There were some adjustments that could have been made that should have been made.
He said you can adjust the flipper power. And then I'm like I'm watching the guy one of the guys play it and was wasn't making the ramp. I'm like, well then if you're trying to sell this game, you should be upping the flipper power to get the game to play.
But at any rate, um, you know, I I was a bit skeptical on any of this on how it was going to work cuz a year ago, if you guys remember, they they had nothing to show. Now we've have a complete thing.
Uh, they've been keeping updates on us, you know, for us.
We did watch the flat pack unboxing video. So, this this game came comes partially disassembled in an IKEA like flat pack where you actually have to put the cabinet together, put the playfield in, assemble some of the stuff onto the playfield
to to get this game. I mean, it's part of how they're doing the thousand price point on this game.
Exactly, dude. In Winchester Highlights. Yeah, for sure. Kind of want a little Alice. Jenny would uh love it, I'm sure. Better than sexy Alice. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it's definitely a good starter pin for anyone. It is not as a faint of heart in terms of making sure you put everything together. Uh I would say advanced levels. Uh if your prerequisite is there, then you'll have not a problem putting this together.
Yeah, that plexiglass was pretty flimsy. I would definitely be wor if you get one of these home. If if there's any glass that fits it, I would recommend changing it to regular glass.
Yeah,
cuz I'm just thinking I I've dealt with lots of like Lex sands and plexiglass from different car stuff and racing.
They get scratched, you know. You have to constantly be polishing them with, you know, microfiber and plastic polish and stuff like that.
Yeah, it was fairly flimsy. Uh, Chris, exactly.
So, it does make you kind of wonder what's the longevity of it.
I worked with cheap buy something for this for my classroom, but I'm talking 600 bucks. Yeah, if that would probably last maybe a month at the if you put this in a classroom.
Yeah,
that's just how it is.
Uh, best Christmas present for the kids. Dad can look overnight while the kids sleep. There you go.
Well, that is kind of cool. Yeah, that would be kind of cool. I don't know what setting.
Um, but yeah, I mean I I was honestly I was fairly impressed for what it's worth. For $1,000, what you see is what you get.
Um, so obviously buyer beware in that respect. You know, it felt flimsy here and there, you know, but I mean there's ways to strengthen things up, I'm sure, and there's adjustments that you can make with the flipper power and all of that. So
um,
you know, we'll wait and seeuh how people react to it as they bring them out. Yeah.
I don't think they're ready yet, are they?
Well, I think they're Yeah, they might be shipping them already or something. I don't not I'm not sure. I haven't been following up in their delivery schedule and that's since we're not getting one of these. So,
yeah. Hey, there a rock. All I can think of is changing the glass to on. [laughter] Yeah, we're Yeah, mother ship still doesn't have a glass.
Oh, it doesn't. Well, the ball moves so slow it probably doesn't
Well, it's so big, too. They probably haven't figured out how to get a piece of glass that's like tempered.
So, but there you go. There's Alice's in Wonderland. On
to the next one.
Next one up is Battle Stations. This is a head-to-head homebrew.
Yes.
So,
um, so what's interesting about this particular one is it started off as a homebrew a whiteboard for several years. I almost want to say like we
Yeah, we saw we've seen it a couple years. Yeah.
But this year it was actually fully finished. So, all the artwork was done on it.
Yep. This is uh you can get this um at nitpinball.com, but it's out of stock right now. It's uh 8 grand for this particular uh thing. And I think I think
this particular thing.
Yeah, I looked it up on their website. [music] 8 grand.
Oh, are they selling the one machine they've made or
Oh, it says out of stock. So, I'm assuming they've got a whole thing going on where they're making more and more or they're planning on seeing.
Oh, yeah. I don't know.
But it it was a lot of fun just to kind of imagine the board game uh Crossfire and you're kind of doing that or heck even joust for that. It's kind of like joust but but with a modern soundtrack and stuff like that.
Exactly. Uh not this. It looks like it doesn't seem.
Yeah. Yeah. It [music] could be
interesting. I'll set the flippers for each side. Yeah. That's what I thought too.
Yeah. Firewing. There's some been some headto-head pinball ones. There's a soccer game plus there's joust and stuff like that.
Hey there, Thunderfoot. It's been a while. Glad you can join us. The first game improve as they go on. They already made many changes to Alice Bas. Good. I'm glad to hear that. Good. Yeah. Yeah.
But uh but yeah, there you go. Battle Station.
Battle Station.
All right, the next up was one of the kind of anticipated homebrews. We saw that they came out about a week before Expo said they were going to be there. We were really
looking forward to playing this one. So, this one we've got a little bit more for you. Got some general stuff here and then we'll actually have some gameplay, proper gameplay footage for you, too. So, first thing is Big Trouble in Little China.
Little China. So, the cabinet is is meant to look like his truck, kind of rusty and kind of beat up. So,
yeah. If you're not familiar with the movie, uh Kurt Russell plays a sort of action hero. It's a very tongue-in-cheek sort of comedy action movie. Uh and he drives a truck.
Mhm.
And crazy things happen in the world of uh
Yeah.
Little China.
Yeah. Things to note about this game is it's got sound design by Scott Denzy and Brian Allen did the art on it. So, they've got some and there and I forget some of the other people involved with it. This is actually
Yeah, this is actually done by a lot of important or pinball celebrities, I guess, is a kind of a good way to put it. So, there's a lot of people. I suspect they're trying to get this one picked up by somebody.
Oh, yeah. Yeah.
Oh, look. She says Randy Martinez also did some of the art. Yeah.
Oh, okay. There you go. Wow. I forgot about that. Thank you, mama.
Yeah. Uh, Mudflaps Firewing Mudap Mudflap Pinball. Yeah,
mud flap mudflap pinball. He also did fire uh Friday the 13th.
Yeah, Friday the 13th.
It was last year's game for him and he decided to do this one this year. So,
I'm [clears throat] not familiar with the movie. You know what Mortal Kombat is? Just imagine that. Yeah, kind of. Just a little more campier than if you can believe it. A little more camp.
Certainly a lot more campy.
Yeah,
Mortal Kombat the movie was a little campy, too. But yeah. Um, what else? Oh, they had one of the uh actors actually do some voices, some original callbacks, call outs, and so forth in the machine itself. So, that was another neat feature about that game as well.
Okay,
now we're going to move on to some gameplay of Big Trouble Little China.
All right, so
All right,
so you set up and did some filming of the game and actually the
DMV. It it'll change a little bit on
Yeah, I mean you can literally fast forward if you want to, Gary, cuz we've got I think about 10 minutes or so of gameplay. What I remember too is if you go 6 minutes in, that's when I think I get a multiball.
Uh so that you guys can kind of see what that mode looks like. But at any rate,
just the beginning of the game, so we'll let you see what see some of how we'll be shooting and some of the overall layouts.
Yeah, I I have to say the sound design is fantastic in this game. the, you know, everything going on. The lights look great. The artwork obviously makes everything.
Um, and it's a challenging pen. Gary and I had a hard time with it, but it's it's fun.
A lot of shots that you got to do and a lot of fun ramps there.
He [clears throat] did the art blades in the topper.
Randy.
Oh, yes. Yes. Um, and eventually once we fast forward a little bit, you'll see the the back of the playfield as well with the little skull that uh is also in the view as everything. There you go. Right about there is where you can see some of the further back view of the playfield. And then as we fast forward eventually also get see flippers again. But at this point, at least you can kind of see what it looks like back there.
Mhm.
Is there a post between the flippers? Uh, yes.
It's actually an active post. So, it actually can. It actually moves and it can check. I don't think it was coded coated in right. There we go.
There's the full view.
There's the full view.
But yeah, it actually has a kick on that post. So,
a Medusa post. Oh, Medusa has that game mechanic. Okay. Thank you for that.
Oh, okay. There you go. Yeah. Big Yep, that's right.
Big uh big few big names in there. Yep. But yeah, I think uh I think they've done a really good job with this in general. I I really can't wait to play more and more and see what the modes are. Uh each time we saw things come up for uh you know, each of the the things they're showing like 3D Storms and so forth, there were really clever uh parts of the movie that they showed and and everything. So, [clears throat]
let's see if we can find the multiball mode. Um thought it was expensive. Maybe it's further back. um six minutes. That's what I thought when I looked at it the first time.
Let's see here.
Maybe it's towards the end. Try towards the end. Um because I know it's when I was playing.
Let's see here. And maybe there's like Oh, go backward a little bit because that's what that was the start of it.
Okay.
Yeah. So, we'll get to see a multiball mode here uh momentarily. Big trouble multiball was set up there. And I managed to hit I guess smack dab in the middle of the skull there in just a moment. Um but that was fun to see.
Yeah, this is a homebrew CNK, so it's not on order. You can't order this anywhere.
Yeah, unfortunately. I mean, maybe someone will pick it up. There's your start of the multiol mode here.
And then you can see Ed's face reflected in the LCD screen when it went dark for a minute there.
Yeah.
Yep. um the way that they put everything together and if you haven't seen the trailer, you can check out Mud Flaps Pinball and look at it. It's definitely ready to go though. I have a feeling that
Yeah, some a few obviously coating tweaks and things like that, but it's it's pretty well produced.
Exactly. [music] So, we were we were quite quite pleased with it. Was the skull only decorative or is it active? It
it's it's decorative. There's a scoopy hit underneath it. So, it's just over it's just a sculpt over top of it.
Yeah. I don't think it spins or anything like that. It kind of looks like it would though.
I think Fireball 2 was has one as well.
Ah, okay. Yeah, with the Oh, with the post. Yeah.
Wild Man hits.
Apparently, I failed the Wild Battle. But, uh, but there you go.
Lots going on in that game. Definitely look looking forward to seeing this again. Playing it again, whatever, however it may be. Oops. Uh, you remember the soul. No fear. Yeah, there you go. Yeah, there's a skull in that one, too.
Yeah.
Um, yeah, that's it for that that particular game. On to Black Knight 3000.
Yeah. So, somebody did basically uh re- imagining of the sounds.
I can tell you it was.
In fact,
uh, and I'm going to mispronounce your name. I apologize.
Suzaka.
Zazisa.
Suza. Z Sisa basically turned uh a Black Knight in 2000 into a Black Knight 3000. There's the guy's name. [laughter]
Yeah,
I guess you threw it in there for that for that. But yeah, we wanted to make sure we got his name. And Concept Games is a
uh who he works for. Um but yeah, uh it as what I can tell, it's a straightup kit sort of like uh Funhouse 2.0.
Mhm.
Cuz nothing in the game itself from what I can tell has changed.
Yeah. The game the game itself [music] is exactly the same other than he's got new sounds,
animations, and other stuff on the screen.
Yeah. So, I mean, you know, it definitely felt good. Um, it felt elevated. It I had a great time kind of seeing what they did to kind of change things a little bit with the different modes and all that sort of stuff. Um, definitely worth um, you know, further investigation. If if that somehow comes out as a as a kit that you can purchase, that would be great. new score display. Yep. That was another thing as well.
Yeah. I don't know if he's got different rules coded in. Um we didn't talk to the fellow though, uh unfortunately.
Yeah. Um I did ask him, you know, like uh what are some things you he was tell trying to tell us what are some features that were different about it. Um we didn't get into details about uh when it would be available or or that sort of thing. Oh, yeah. It's slick, isn't it, Arock? Yeah. Yeah. We felt that way too. I mean, I like the game a lot better. I like uh Black Knight 2000 better than he does.
I do. Yeah.
Um, so I had a lot of a lot more fun with it, I think. But I know, you know, Gary had a good time with it, too. Fact, he's the one who's playing it right now.
Yeah.
It's always kind of a challenging thing to [music] try to hit that target back there to get uh multiples started in this game, but that's kind of the whole point of this.
Yeah. If you want to let me turn up the volume here, somebody different sound. Okay. Yeah, he remixed a lot of the Black Knight soundtrack for this.
Yeah. So, it doesn't sound like Black Knight Source of Rage remix or anything like that. It's like his own creation.
The whole table was seeing this pristine table back then a little more.
Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. It's fun to go back, especially with games like this that [music] were great and a lot of fun and elevated in some way.
Yeah. You got some animation when you get back up. sword clashing sounds and things that they couldn't do back then,
right?
So,
yeah,
sort of a static image at this point since he's trying to get through a time mode.
Some animations there as well, but uh there you go. Um probably somewhere. I didn't see one. I think this was the only one that I could think of. Firewing that was there.
Um I don't know if there was an option to not play it or anything like that like you could do with a um fun house 2.0. you know, DK uh music is Dan Bordon, right?
Probably. I'm going to I'm going to assume you're right, Arock. I don't recall the name of the fellow that did the uh that soundtrack that uh ultimately was it Anthrax that redid it?
One of the one of the guys from Anthrax who was involved with Soda Rage,
right? Uh shoot flashing targets and two ball. It's definitely got some new rules.
Okay. Well, that's good. Yeah.
Yeah, that was something else I think was pointing out too and things,
but uh but there you go. Black Knight 3000.
Kind of fun to say that.
Yeah.
All right. Uh on to the next game. Yes. Which is kind of quick because it's not a game that was working, right?
Yeah. We walked up to these two games and they just were there. Lights blinking were not working. Any guesses? Any guesses?
Starts with the letter B and homebrew or not homebrew. Sorry. Home pin.
Home pins.
Home pin.
Blues brothers.
The Blues Brothers.
Unfortunately, they were broken. So, we didn't get a chance. They were broken like the entire weekend.
Yeah, we we got there day one and it was already broke. It was dead on arrival. So,
yeah.
But it I mean I wanted to play it. I wanted to give it a shot.
We wanted to see how well it played. But man, it was
I liked this back glass art better than the other one. Fairly basic flash. Oh, sorry. That was already red.
Yeah, exactly. I know that that kind of bummed me out because I I did legitimately wanted to give it a shot.
Yeah, a lot of detail in there. The cheese whiz and the marles and all this junk. Even some some uh broken yet
or is it still broken?
He was being being convinced. Oh, it'll work. It's
It'll work. It'll work. No. No.
Something was broken. It was stuck.
Yeah. Too bad.
Yeah. Oh, we ran into somebody else, too. I think we were walking up that. But that's just the way it is. All right. But, uh, there you go. That was a quick recap on Blues Brothers. Coming to America is the next thing.
Yep. So, this was not complete. No. Uh when we first got there, this was the cabinet sitting there with no playfield in it. They were working on the playfield over in the fast pinballish area.
They were doing that. They were bringing it back here.
They were wiring it. They were trying to get it coated.
They had a time lapse video of him wiring it with his kids, too. In fact, let me give you the names of who worked on it. Ricardo James, Duran Davis, Fitzroy, the I'm so sorry to mess your name up. The Cloudy The Cloud. The what?
The cloud array.
The clutter.
Cloud array.
And then art by Randy Martinez.
Doug.
Duter. So art also is by Randy Martinez, too.
And it looks great.
We will Yeah, you'll get We'll get to that here in a second. Let's Let's see. D. So, here's a video of him working on all of his wiring and doing the stuff on the play field.
Yeah.
Spider-Man.
Looks like Spider-Man from the bottom, but that's what the wiring is all about, right?
Yeah. But uh yeah, if you're famili familiar with Coming to America, Eddie Murphy, uh um
uh the guy that had his own talk show for a while, um and a whole bunch of others obviously on here.
Yeah.
Um
it was a shame they didn't get it in and code it because it would have been interesting to play. But yeah.
Yeah.
Got all the characters. Yeah.
Soul Glow.
Solow. Sorry.
Soul Glow. [laughter] I know it's hard to like see some of these things and not say and uh
and then it was in the game later for the weekend.
Yeah.
But unfortunately not not functioning.
Not functioning. But you know, it's come a long long way from uh from where it was at. Um but yeah, hats off to to the guys uh right with coming to America.
Who did this? Oh, you didn't
uh Dune is the next one.
Well, no, it's uh
Oh, it's Contra. Yeah, I couldn't figure I couldn't figure out who made Contra, unfortunately. But uh what they did is they took special force which was a valley I believe and they redid everything in terms of the rules. Um it's more or less integrated with if you were familiar with the uh Nintendo Entertainment System game Contra or heck even the arcade games that came out first obviously but yeah it was um more or less specifically set on the NES version. Oh hey grown up adjacent coming in.
Welcome hot.
Thank you so much for the raid everybody. Welcome in.
We're reviewing our Pinball Expo exploits. So, going through a lot of the games we played. Right now, we're looking at Contra Homebrew Pinball.
Yes. And uh it was a lot of fun. The the call outs and the sounds, especially the sounds in this game, was like deep deep nostalgia factor here if you're familiar with Contra on the NES. So, it was a lot of fun to play this game. I was trying my my darnest to uh play the game and also hear the sound. So, right now, I pointed the camera at the speaker so you can hear things. Want to turn it up a little bit.
Bullseye.
They got some fun punk calls out calls out like bullseye and stuff like this. My beautiful face.
Ed one cuz it's based off of the Contra EDS.
Yep. So, it's using a lot of sound effects from the Contra.
A lot of sound effects that were a lot of fun. Highly recommend.
I expect at some point he's going to take the playfield out and uh
potentially redo it. redo the artwork on that. So
yeah, but that was a homebrew conversion reskin of special force firewing. Yeah, it was pretty awesome going up adjacent. You going to do similar show review once uh your voice fully comes back. Oh boy.
Yeah, there was a lot of people that lost their voice. I think mama also was saying my voice is going away.
We did. We were drinking a ton of water and still may have managed to do that managed to pull through it all
more practice or didn't talk enough.
So barrels of fun. Uh we hadn't gotten a chance to play Dune with any of the latest codes.
Correct. So this is
nor did we have a chance to play the special edition of this game as well. So it's our first
This has got a different back glass on it. Um and stuff like that. So
it plays a lot. The code is really good.
Yeah, I'm really happy with the code.
Yeah, it had been months since we played it very in the very beginning. In fact, uh it was still had the letters um the assets are being negotiated blah blah blah whatever it said the disclaimer on that video still not approved yet.
Yeah. So we were playing it on that code still and so it was neat to see all this and also a lot more.
This was in a special room that barrels had actually got and they had this and Winchester Mystery House in the same room.
Right. So
Right. Beautiful shot of the ground.
It's a beautiful shot of uh
wanted to make sure that we got everyone's shoes uh accounted for
in the dark. in the dark. Uh, did you guys smash any games?
No. Unfortunately, Wolfman or fortunately, however you look at it, because werewolves would uh look down upon me and say, "What are you doing?
Why didn't you smash it?"
Yeah.
I didn't get I didn't get angry enough. And you know, also it's kind of rude.
Mhm.
This is special. Yeah. This is the one Firewing.
Yeah.
All right. So, we're going to jump over to the game play on here.
Oh, yeah. For sure. Yeah. Have a great dinner. Thank you so much. Here, let me give you a proper shout out as well here.
Mhm.
While you're taking off.
Yeah, this was done recorded a little bit better.
Was in the quiet room. Less people were in there at the time. So, we
So, make sure you check out as well while you're while you're checking our review out, everybody.
Excellent pinball screen.
Yeah, he was playing King Kong earlier. All right. Uh so yeah, new video assets that uh were also stuff that we hadn't seen before as well. In fact, I think coming up will be um something different happening here that we're something going.
Yeah, being the first time I played it and it grew on me at the expo. Oh, that's good. Yeah, a lot of games will do that for a while. You you may not, you know, really connect with it in the beginning, but as you play more and more, it's going to be amazing what changes.
Okay, cool. Well, they, you know, they fleshed out this game. They brought a lot more of the movies into the action game and stuff like that. So, you get a lot more modes on it. The sound packages [clears throat] evolved quite immensely on it. So,
yeah. Yeah, definitely. Looks like we switched over to uh gameplay here. Uh, what happened to the OBS version of this? I guess we only have one camera.
We only have one camera on
Oh, that's right. We were walking around on this one. That's right. Uh
they do they do good use of uh like changing the color [clears throat] for night versus day and stuff like that.
Yeah, especially when the the video start, you can kind of get into the
the intensity of it,
especially him screaming jackpot.
Oh, [laughter]
does the Doom Pin have as much bass as it does.
And I love that.
It does have a great sound system in it. So
yeah, they're also fun know what they're doing when it comes to that. Here's one of the words that I got. I wanted to document whatever that was show.
That's why it slowed down graphics. A quick second of it. Here's another move starting. I think this is when the ball gets sucked up by the worm.
Yeah, this is where the You can see the ball's getting eaten.
Yeah,
the worm is coming up giving you one of those pinball moments.
The vacuum worm. Always like the lighting on this game, especially doesn't do that.
Honestly, this is the only room that they had upstairs had games. I was a little uh disappointed that uh Rob Beck uh didn't have his uh
Rob Burke.
Burke. I always want to mess that name up. I don't know why. Rob Burke uh didn't have that usual or at least the Bloom that they had last year where it was a bunch of his games in there.
Yeah, I think that that was where the tournaments were again this year. So,
oh, is that me or you?
So, maybe it had something to do. It might had also something to do with pastimes also opening. I don't know.
He's got to keep games there so people can play them while while he's doing all this stuff.
Yeah. Yeah.
But yeah, so that was that is Doom
getting on the board and on Doom.
Yes.
All right. There you go.
All right. Up next is another homebrew.
Yes.
This one was actually done. What? What did you say?
Um 90. It was a 90-day build.
90-day build for this one. So, this is Enigma.
Brought to you by uh I forgot his name from Crazy Quarters. Do you remember?
No, I don't remember what it unfortunately. Well, if you go to Crazy Quarter's website, you'll you'll you'll get a bit more detail about it, but there was a fullon story in this. This was I was like, "Wow, there's like a novel almost in the beginning of when you start the game."
It's like really
Yeah, it's [music] all like noir, too. And those are real Nixie Tubes, by the way.
Yeah, I was already blown away with that. And the soundtrack's neat.
Yeah, Crazy Quarters is an arcade up uh north of us by about an hour and a half.
Yeah. Two hours.
Yeah, we went there once. Um Yeah, it was good. Yeah, it
they really got the style figured out and uh
yeah,
all the intensity.
It doesn't have any rules in it, so it's just playing at the at this moment. Really?
So, I think one of the flippers wasn't working on Nixie tunes. N I E.
Yeah.
So, they're basically a series of like different letters that turn it on and off in
like think steampunk. Yes. Like you see numbers in a steampunk movie or some such or whatever, then that's what you got. Yeah. Yeah. He didn't do it's not an LCD screen trying to replicate Nixie tubes. It's actually like LED mixie tubes. So basically it's every number is in a layer one behind each other and they just kind of turn on. So instead of having a
segmented display, you turn on the numbers.
You turn on the
the number you need.
Yeah, exactly.
Um yeah, pretty pretty neat. Uh can't wait to see, you know, further development in this game. And it wasn't necessarily done, you know, in 90 days on purpose, but more as a a personal challenge and and things like that. Uh there was some events going on in his life and, you know, he he'll tell you the story if you ask him. Y
um that led to this creation of this.
But yeah, really cool looking back.
Yeah, the the art's really cool.
Oh, and there's sparklies. I forgot to mention.
It had some pearlescent in the clear coat. Pearlescent. in the lighting it would show these red metal flakes loose in there.
Yeah, I think on one of the shots it's a little bit better than than this particular shot. But
yeah,
but there you go.
Lots lots going on there. I think
Oh, yeah. And here's some of the cabinet art, too.
Oh, yeah. The cabinet art. Yeah.
Yeah. I took some of his a little bit later. So,
but yeah, you can you you can see the kind of style he's going for in this whole thing. So,
yeah, really cool.
A lot of work. Yeah, pinball machines are a lot of work if you don't and you wonder why they cost so much money. There's a lot that goes into them between
art, game design,
coding, and fabrication.
Don't let that slow you down.
Nope.
All right.
Yeah. Yeah. This one is This is really cool. I can't wait to see him finish it.
Oh, there we go. There's the pearles inside.
There you go. You can see the pearl in it. And it Yeah.
Sparkly. Sparkies. I want that sparkly. Mrs. Bri, Mrs. [laughter] Bri,
got to have that sparkly.
Oh lord, we need a secret of nim pen. All right, [laughter] on to the next bit.
Yeah. So, we finally finally finally got a chance to play Evil Dead.
Yes, Chris. Yeah, Sin City. Exactly. Yeah, very similar to that.
Yeah, we're we're starting off with kind of an overview again.
Um, all of them were lined up. Uh, spooky pinball
was ready. had a whole row of them.
Yeah, Evil Dead's been out for a little while. I think it uh was it out by the time uh I forget when it was out earlier this year.
Yeah, it was out earlier this year, but uh there is a place that has them on location, but it's in downtown Detroit and we haven't gotten down there to play it.
So, we finally got a chance to play it here.
Finally got a chance to play it. Yeah,
it's cool. I mean, the theme integration is really, really good. Uh the art's great for this package.
Yeah.
I'm not 100% in love with the game play. Not really. Uh I I feel like it's a game that I'm going to like better if I play it more. That's the feeling I get when I play this game. Sort of what Mama had described earlier with I think Dune with when she tried it the first time.
Um
but with that being said, I like what they have to show for us, especially the side art is is looking fantastic. I don't recall what edition this is that we're looking at.
This is probably the Blood Suckers edition. And that's the one they sell the most of. So
Yeah. anything that's a special that I mean any anything that has the extra bits in there you you know it's going to look a lot better. Um but yeah the the the interesting bit with this uh playfield too is you'll notice in the middle there there's another playfield inside that one.
Got a small subplay field.
Yeah. Similar to Avatar.
All right.
But um
let's switch over to the game play.
Yeah. Go for it.
Okay. Let me get to H. Where did it jump? OBS jumped on me. There we go. All right. So, some proper gameplay. Um,
so yeah, you can choose either Evil Dead or Evil Dead 2.
Uh, sort of similar to the Alien Pinball machine. You got, you know, modes that sort of correspond with things that are going on in the movie.
Yeah.
Yeah. As far as I know, all those Evil Dead games that are in a row were all the same model.
Oh, okay. Kind of. For the most part, for the most part, they don't make much difference in any difference in gameplay when they do different models. It's mostly trim and accessories.
So, it's not like Stern with their
the pros are stripped down compared to an
Ellie.
Spooky's game plays are all the same. The play field's the same.
Got it. Yeah,
they just do extra decorative things for the upper level models.
Right.
It It was also difficult to get things going on this thing, too. I think Gary and I were able to do a few things here and there. Uh,
oh, and this is the one that's got the the weird flipper in place of a sling.
So, if you watch the on the playfield, the the right sling will flip out. It's actually a flipper, not a slingshot.
Oh, yeah. That was the other thing that was really hard to kind of get the hang of. Like, I I could get into it if I had more time with it, but it's weird to think about that other flipper and have to hit the second button on the machine at the right time and all that. Nice. Yeah.
You'll see. There was another button on there that would operate this flipper. And literally, it's like a slingshot in any other game. So, right above the flippers, you you normally got the slings. When the ball hits it, it kicks them.
Yeah. Right there. Right there. You go.
It's on the right uh sling, upper sling. That just that Yeah, that thing right there. It's bizarre.
Yeah.
It's really weird. [laughter]
That Dro is selling these uh ED editions for 16,000
each. [laughter] Well, they are they are sold out. So, they did sell out of this model. So,
$16,000.
Ouchie, mama. Oh, looks like we're switching or fixing the view right there.
You like the manual sling? Oh, a manual sling. Um, not necessarily. It's more
Yeah, it's kind of like a manual sling, but it but it's a flipper. There's a whole uh
there's a whole back of my head that we love to watch.
All right, we're going to skip it. So on the left side there's an entire level of uh of drop targets that say groovy. Those are actually you know six drop targets and that flipper is kind of designed to be able to hit those
repeatedly. So
I mean yeah I I want to play this more so I can get familiar with it because I have a feeling that it's definitely a feature that you can have fun with once you do.
I don't want to be annoyed by it. I want to be in love with it or at least, you know, get it.
How do you enter the subplay field? Um,
you have to trigger it with a mode and uh
I think I was able to do that with one one particular mode and I didn't get to play it for very long because it's kind of
weird in terms of like when it starts and then all of a sudden it's done and then the ball already drained.
But yeah, you're loading both shells. So there's a there's actually a shotgun on the left side of the game here.
Yeah, there's two silver cylinders in the upper left. Mhm.
You know, upper left on is what over there you can see the two white lights. That's loading the shotgun shells. So when you hit them, they they go in.
Yeah. So lots of cool theming. This has really good theming integration with with this game. So yeah,
you got your little hand that's doing the Oh, it's actually flipping you off, too. Move around. It's going like this.
Behind the drop targets. It's part of one of the things I think a skill shot is hit once you've got the drop targets out of the way.
Yeah. Super spinner.
Yeah. Super spinner, right?
Mhm.
Start.
Yeah, that's what it's literally going up and down like this.
Yeah, it's like
orange enabled dead.
It's been a while since I've watched Evil Dead, so I kind of forgotten like some of the intricacies and everything with the game.
Yeah. Oh, and this this also game when you first start the game, you can choose to play Evil Dead or Evil Dead 2.
Oh, yeah. We mentioned that in the beginning. Yeah. Um, I've forgotten to switch over, I think, the next time I play. But, but there you go. Uh, Evil Dead. Um, want to give it another try. Um,
you know, I don't have a whole lot to bad things to say about Spooky. I know some of you out there not are not in love with a lot of their games. Um, it might not be the right speed in certain certain instances as well. Yeah.
But, um,
that's why there's a lot of companies you can choose from.
Yes, there are.
Uh, what other game gives you the one finger salute? Uh, maybe a No Fear.
Uh, no. No Fear is pretty clean.
Yeah, I'm trying to think.
I don't know. Maybe Rick and Morty. No, I don't think Rick and Morty does it either.
Yeah. So, there you go. World's first middle finger in a pinball machine. That's spooky.
Yeah. [laughter] Yeah.
All right. Uh, let's move on to another homebrew. So, who's this? Who did this one?
Uh, greatest showman was done by Pinball Reborn.
Reborn.
Reborn. I wrote I typed reborn. Wonder if I meant reborn.
Pinball reborn.
It might be Reborn. Either way. Um and they were working on this or they released it rather back in 2025.
Yeah.
Yeah. We didn't get a chance to actually play this one. Um we were doing other stuff. We kept getting back.
It was also the info on this game is on pin side. So if I mess the name up. So
I think you can steal the ball lock from others line TNA. Oh, you mean back in uh uh when we were watching um uh Evil Dead? Oh, okay.
Yeah.
Yeah. We didn't get a chance to play the whole whole heck of a lot.
Yeah. We basically, you know, there was a good line for the games the whole time, too. So, we managed we got on and played the play the game each.
But Greatest Showman, I think it from what I can tell, it's it's based off of the actual movie, too. Um
and everything. All right. Where are we going now? Let's see. Oh, that was the beginning of Great Showman.
Great showman. Yeah, we didn't have a whole lot of footage of that. Unfortunately, play it.
Um,
whirlwind discs. Okay.
Yep. So, the next one is actually a Michigan native, fairly local to us.
And someone that also comes into our
Kyle Vasa.
This is his own homebrew that he's been working on for a few years. He's got a lot of the artwork and stuff done now. He's still got some coding. He's doing all that.
Oh, was it? Sorry, I was going back to Cool Star here. We get a whirlwind in that earlier game. Got it. Okay. Did not know that. Thank you. Hey there, Pizza Cat. So,
so Kyle Basa here has been working on his homebrew.
Yes. By the way, this particular homebrew has is not affiliated at all with uh Harry Potter or any of the
or the or the Warner Brothers or anybody else. So, this is a fan-based creation.
This [music] is a fan- based creation.
Got a huge disclaimer because when he first started working on it, apparently he got contacted by lawyers,
of course, cuz everyone's protected. But I'm sure Nintendo also gave uh
whoever made Pokemon sometime,
but he's but it's really complex. He's got multiple levels. [music] So, he's got the the Quidditch cord. He's got other stuff. He's actually
it's got a lot of different shots and he's got a ton of diverters that do different things that aren't even coded in yet. So,
yeah. You love it when these games have playfields like that. Absolutely. Because it just keeps going and you This one is fun because you don't know where balls are going.
His cabinet is completely custom. The back is immensely more deeper, taller than like a WPC cabinet because he's got so much going on.
Yeah.
In fact, the backbox is only like this tall.
Right.
So,
Right. Uh Jersey Jack Firewing makes the other one.
Yeah. That that's the [music] uh one that just came out a little while ago.
Mhm.
This year,
but uh he [music] he did an amazing job. He was also working on this last year. He had some of it done last year. I think a lot of it was just 3D printed and not finished. But
yeah, no, he had no coating in it last year as well.
He was actually operating things with the keyboard as we were playing it. It was white wood all last year.
Uh didn't have a lot of the sculpts done. They're all painted now. So yeah.
So it's really really awesome to go back to these games that you've seen before and see that progress happen and
you know give give the not only the feedback but the encouragement for each one of these creators. It's a lot of fun and very very rewarding.
Yeah. And he's a great guy. We've talked to him several times on this one,
you know, talked to him about homebrews, what he's been doing, how he's doing stuff. So, yeah,
it's it is it's very exciting to see a girl mama. Absolutely.
Looks like a proto jersey.
Yeah. I suppose it could, doesn't it? Yeah.
Yeah.
But, uh, that's kind of the unique fun fun amazing
Oh, there you go. There's a good view of the cabinet. It's really deep in the back and he's got a really short back. backbox with just basically the speakers.
Yeah. Hey, Tonga, how you doing?
Doing. Yeah. Hey, how you doing?
Yeah, it was pretty awesome indeed. Yeah, we're we're in the middle of kind of going through all the different pins that uh that uh we saw at the Chicago Pinball Expo. Those of you just all also just joining us, uh we're also going through a lot of homebrews. And that last game that you saw was a homebrew pinball machine.
Yeah, it was a homebrew. So yeah, there was a really strong homebrew pinball presence at Pinball Expo this year and they're getting more and more fantastic each year. So speaking of that, here's another one.
Hellraiser scary.
Um Hellraiser was done by Clint Jarrett. Uh released back in November 2024. We have not seen it until till now.
Um I didn't get a chance to play it. I don't think
No, I didn't either. So
but it was a very very very beautiful machine. solid state. Also interesting to note
using using the alpha numeric displays as opposed to an LCD screen. So
they went with more of the classic vibe. Mind you, the Playfield looks like a modern game [laughter] with all the artwork style and sculpts.
Yeah, T, we had a lot of fun at the expo. We're we're really really excited to show you all all that we had fun as well as uh all the highlights and everything. But uh yeah, it is pretty cool. You Oh, you played it at Free Play Florida. Nice. Uh nice.
Mhm. The box wiggles. What box wiggled? Oh, inside the machine.
Yeah, the hell hell wizard box.
Ah, yes. Yeah.
All right. Onward we go.
Another homebrew.
Another home brerew.
And Max Fury Rose. So, we actually got we actually got to spend some good time on this one. So, we'll have actually some real gameplay for you after the general.
And apparently, this has been worked on for at least six years. This was started back six years ago. Um, sicknate is the name of uh the person, that's the pin side name anyway of who uh made this machine.
Um, yeah, the pipes on the topper look fantastic. Uh, the theming is on point
and the base is tremendous in this one.
Yes.
And the pump bumpers are also pretty interesting. Gary, talk about the pop bumpers in this game.
Oh. Oh, this one had custom pop bumpers. So, he engineered his own pop bumpers. They're about half the size of the real ones and they're using basically the ball to create the short on it. You can see them back there.
They take up a lot less real estate than the conventional ones. And I kind of like them. Like if you got pop cuz everybody goes popers have been the same for so many years. It's like this guy actually re-engineered them.
Yeah. Which is really cool. Um let's see. Cool mech. Yeah. Uh that's bait. I don't know who bait is. I haven't seen this person. I have uh I heard the pipe smoke too.
Uh yeah, we did see that smoking.
Oh, for MadMax. Oh, I thought it was only in uh Steamboat, Willie. Okay, cool. I didn't see that one.
I don't know if Well, yeah, they might have might have not been working at the time we were looking.
Okay. Or we didn't hit the mode that had the
smoke. Yeah.
Uh we had a lot of modes on this though. I um both Gary and I had a really fun time playing it. Uh in fact, did we have gameplay with this?
Yes, we have gameplay.
Oh, yes, we do.
We have gameplay. We'll turn off the
turn off you. Turn on your Mad Max.
Yeah.
Oh, and the bass. Oh my god. The bass is so strong to the point where the the camera that capture the LCD.
It makes it go.
Yeah. So, pardon pardon the LCD camera going.
It [laughter] gives you an idea. It's immersive on how much shaking is going on.
Shake. Go.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, cuz we had a camera that we had magnetically mounted to the lock bar and there certain there's a couple of games that the base gets so strong it was vibrating the camera.
Yeah, it was pretty nuts.
This is Mad Max Fury Road. This is a homebrew Y as well.
The homebrew uh done by Sick Nate. Um not sure the real name.
Y
but uh it's probably Pinside.
Pinside Nate. Yeah.
Um Oh, thank you. Yeah, we unfortunately I wanted to get a little bit more of a play field, but it was a little challenging to try to get everything in the screen and realize, oh, hey, hi camera. You didn't zoom all the way out. Thanks.
Yeah.
So, uh, but that's okay. It still came out great. I appreciate that.
You know how it is as an artist, you want to get everything right the first time.
Yeah.
Um, yeah, Fury Road is lit. Return the plunger.
Yeah, this this had really good, you know, kind of theme integration and sound integration on it. Yeah, there seem to be a lot of different modes that you can do in this game. I don't know how complete it is, but uh you know six or I guess that was the other pin that was six years, but yeah, it it's it's does take some time to figure those things out. And Universal Donut Shoot the left ramp is one of those modes on here. Oh yeah, it is a great movie, too. I like the second movie kind of better than the first or that's Fiosa, sorry. But uh the first one is Mad Max Fury Road. The second one is Fioa. And I liked that one actually a little bit better cuz it gave us some story and some background on the characters as opposed to just throwing us into the world like they did in Fury Road. [snorts]
You like both of them? Yeah. I mean I like them. I like the spectacle that the first one had and the spectacle plus the story on the second one that came out.
Kind of wish the second one came out earlier, but
hey casual. How you doing?
Hey there casual. Howdy howdy. Welcome in. We are in the M's right now. We're in the middle of it all. We're going through all the machines that we saw alphabetically. So, if you missed some of those, don't don't fret. It's on it's going to be on our uh our YouTube page and Twitch as well. So,
uh Fury Road is one of the top 10 films films of all time, says Casual. Oo,
high praise for it. Yeah,
I wouldn't venture to say the top 10 in my particular list, but it is definitely up there with just everything that they managed to do uh action-wise, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in and cinema um and just the overall aesthetic is
amplified. I'm going to answer AOK's question. So, this is sort of like fair use uh type arrangement. If you're not selling it, you're not making money from it, they really can't do anything about it. So,
yeah, fair use.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's just like like fan art or something that if you're not selling it, they really can't do a whole lot about it. I mean, they might be able to throw a bunch of lawyers at you to scare you.
Most I mean, there was already a couple of folks that, you know, got cease and desist letters and you just simply say, "Well, I'm not selling it.
I'm not selling it. I'm not making money for it. Yeah.
Right.
But that's also part of why our homebrew is on our own IP so we don't have to worry about it.
That's right.
Yeah.
The homerew was fun but not as fun as I wanted it to be.
Yeah. Yeah. Gameplay was all right. Yeah. It wasn't wasn't the strongest.
Yeah, I would have to agree with you. Casual. Um but again, I I you know, for all we know, it's still in development. Uh or, you know, you can simply add more to it and things like that. But
yeah.
Yeah. I mean, it's a home route. The guys always keep tinkering with them, right?
They don't stop.
Exactly.
Exactly. All right. Um, but there you go. I don't think there's anything else I have to add on onto this onto this particular game.
We want to go ahead and move on to another homebrew. Um, this time this is based on a video game, Mass Effect 2. Uh, this one is done by Anthony Van Winkle. And I don't recall uh how long it took. Uh, it is on a website or there is a website available.
Someone's bouncing the game. I see a phone with a leveler on it.
Um, oh, I guess he was just getting things uh kind of
getting the game set up. Yeah.
Okay. Um, from what I remember, it was fun to to I'm not familiar with the game. I at least kind of know the characters um because
there are some really fun unique characters um in there. But, uh, from what from what we were able to play, um, you know, I don't know if we have any more gameplay or not. It was the only
Yeah, I was able to play it off camera a couple times and I had a lot of fun with it. Um,
yeah, it was broken at this time. He was fixing it.
Homebrews were break. They do break a lot.
That's kind of the theme. Get used to it. It's just the way it is. It's
if it's broken, come back later. They'll hopefully have it fixed. So, a lot of those guys will help each other get games run back up and running. says Mass Effect 2 was so great, but I haven't seen this machine.
Yeah, I if it's a good game, I'm hoping that it was also a good pen machine that's based off of it.
Yeah, this is a homebrew, so it's a one of one.
So,
you didn't get a game on Mass Effect. It was down a lot. Ah, okay.
Never played Mass Effect, but I've seen how cool it is. Cool. Yeah,
but uh but there you go.
All right. Now,
all right.
Next up, another M from Turner Pinball. We got Merlin's Arcade. Turner pinball who did um NJ clips has now made this one.
So they had the game open
and take a look at the back of this thing. These are giant boards.
Yeah, they're giant boards. Not very many
wires. So
yeah.
Hey Ei,
thank you so much for that. 30 months.
Really appreciate it.
I was looking at going, "Oh man, imagine if you have to replace one of these boards. Oh my goodness. Yeah.
Where was this table at to ask Shadow?
Um I think in the
like a little guide right here, too.
It was right by the Barrels of Fun place.
Yeah,
it was probably overshadowed by the Barrels of Fun line.
Oh, okay.
Yeah, got it.
Was literally between Barrels of Fun. They had the line for Winchester and this those games,
right? I'll give you a quick shout out. Interior Initials, thank you so much for that. Definitely check out his stream if you guys haven't yet. Merlin's Arcade is way more fun than I would have expected. today. I hope my local place gets gets one, says casual. Cool.
We're going to tell you what we thought about it in a moment here.
Yeah. So,
we got some more we got some better gameplay of this one.
Yeah. So,
uh I've heard good things about how the Turner stuff plays and how receptive they are to the feedback on the rules. I agree with that too, Harper. And I know that um is true with Ninja Eclipse. I'm assuming that's going to be true for Merlin's arcade to an extent of whatever you it is that you can suggest.
Yeah.
All right.
We'll flip over to uh
they always have a good cool display on. Oh, thank you for the high screen, folks.
Oh, wow. Thank appreciate that.
All right. Here's some gameplay. So, unfortunately, we had the camera a little crooked to start with.
Oh, to start with. Yeah,
that's okay. You can kind of get the idea of what it uh what it feels like and and plays like and so forth. Did we get that corrected?
No, we never did.
Did we? Okay,
we never corrected this one.
That's okay. Yo, got the you got the idea of it. All right, so here's what I want to start off with in the game itself. So, you have a theme.
It's called Merlin.
Yeah.
Oh,
close your eyes and think about if you're in the medieval medieval times,
right? In the medieval times. What kind of games do you think
would exist there?
Just imagine what would be medieval arcade. you know, Robin Hood, you know, all that sort of stuff, right? I'm thinking axe throwing. I'm thinking archery, cable tossing.
Yeah. Sort of stuff like that. What do we get? We get
pin. We get uh billiards, billiards, and darts.
What was the other one?
Uh I don't remember what they are, but yeah, but it was all like modern style games.
Oh, thank you, Casual, for the hundred bids.
Yeah, thank you. Yeah, exactly. So to me, I guess what I'm getting at is I'm not really the theming is very confused with
it's confusing on the theme because yeah, I would have expected it to be medieval games, jousting, you know, sword fighting, you know, that kind of stuff.
Yeah. I mean,
oh, thank you, mama. You guys are appreciate the support, everybody.
Yeah.
A very low upper flipper, possibly lowest if it wasn't for Evil Dead.
Oh, yeah. That was another thing that was kind of weird about it, too. Um,
yeah, the the upper Again, it might be mid upper.
The mid upper. Yeah, it might be something one of those things where you kind of have to get used to the timing and and and being able to take advantage of where that geometry is to hit those shots,
but honestly, I wasn't really feeling the game as much as, you know, one would think. Um, and again, it might be those things that I mentioned. It might be just
the way it was shooting that evening. I just wasn't feeling
We did play We did play a little bit later. this game had obviously seen a lot of play, was feeling a little tired,
right? But what they had to offer was was fun. Um, I feel like they're doing a great job with integrating graphics and sound design and all of those things. Like they Turner Pinball has their craft together. They definitely know what they're doing. Um, it's just a matter of deciding what it is that you want out the machine and what focus do you want to have with your theming? cuz I feel like the theming wasn't as focused as it could have been. But that's just my opinion.
Yeah.
Uh Rand Kill. I think darts would make sense, but nothing else really. Yeah, that's kind of what
Yeah, that unfortunately it's things
it's a reverse of the cartoon if they they come back at our time kind of. Yeah.
I mean that the character designs are fun. It's similar to what Ninja was like. A little tongue and cheek sort of thing going on there, which you always want to have in a pinball machine, right?
Yeah. Did we get a um trying to think, did we get a multiball going [clears throat]
an homage to the Aball Deluxe? Yeah. at the upper playfield or upper flipper rather. Yeah,
got a copy of this in the arcade. I'm pretty sure that it's getting Winchester House 2. Nice.
Yeah, we heard that they were getting that, too.
Yeah. Your favorite new game, Pat.
So, yeah, we'll have to talk to you a little bit more about this game, Pat, and tell us what it is that we're missing that we may that may allow us to enjoy this game a little more. I don't really know,
but uh it's kind of where we're at with with the
with the Wizards. Merlin's Magic is the game I keep calling it, but it's Merlin's Arcade. [laughter]
Yeah.
Yep. All right.
All right. But there you go.
Yeah. It's Merlin's Arcade.
Merlin's Arcade. And on to more M. Another M game.
Another M. So, this is another head-to-head homebrew.
Another head-to-head homebrew.
So, it's
similar to Battle Stations
or Joust. Yeah. Yes. So, Monster League hockey.
Monster League hockey. There's the little party they had there to celebrate uh the homebrew section. And you know, you got to have a got to have a rave when you got to set up like this. Like
their hair and all that stuff is so cool.
Hats off to uh Oh, I got to say their name. Uh where are they? Where are they? Where are they? Where are they?
You did not get that on the list.
Oh, I I had it.
Oh, you didn't let me go grab it. It's on the other It's on my other
Yeah, I wrote that.
Ed was having fun with the zoom on the camera. Yeah. Five cans of hair cement is about right.
Oh, there it is. I found it.
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah. I got to do the MTV thing here. I got to do the Dutch angle and the zoom in and out thing. It's obligatory. Um, this is done by Killdozer Studios with a K. Kill dozer.
And then, uh, we've got actually a proper set of gameplay for this one. So,
yeah, it's another headto-head that's similar to J. Here we go.
And I think it's done by some rules similar to Honchi. I think there were some things kind of fell.
Yeah, there were there were three periods to the game. You were so you're essentially playing hockey.
Yes. Yes.
But with monsters and lots of UV lighting.
Yeah. Hey, Mr. Dark. How's it going? Welcome in. We're checking out uh
Monster League hockey.
Monster League hockey.
This is a head-to-head player.
All right, here we go. Oh my god. Holy crap.
Yeah. Yeah. I'm wondering if this is a bit more steep than Joust was too or something. I don't know. It's hard to tell.
Super well designed and very well executed.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Yes. Firewing. This is a time game. So, each period lasts a certain amount of time and it's on there on the LCD screen. So,
five cans of Harrison each. [laughter]
Monster Hockey was a ton of fun, but it came at a bit less fun when we realized that the strategy was just to flip a lot less. That's sort of similar to um
sort of similar to Jou because you have to be very very strategic in where you hit as well as battle stations. Battle stations we finally figured out that you were supposed to go after each other's bumper like I guess sort of
store the reactor.
Sort of like a reactor. Yeah.
Um this one Yeah. I guess like you said is a different strategy that you're kind of accustomed to especially when it's a two-player headto head thing.
I mean head to heads don't stop over over the center. Your goal is to get a ball to drain in the other player's goal. Yeah. So, it goes over the hump to that. You just have to shoot it through the holes, right? Specific for that.
Yeah. I don't know if there were air balls that I remember. Maybe one or two in certain parts.
No, they these don't play fast enough for air balls.
Does each controller control one center flipper?
Yeah. Yes.
Yeah, you're right. You're right. Flipper controls two flippers.
Oh, you have both. No, you have one in the center that you only control. Right.
Right. But you're right.
Oh, you're right. That operates two flippers. Yeah.
No, the other right.
Yeah. See, they just go up at the same time.
Yeah.
But yeah, it's like having a player midfield that hits a back at the goalie.
What the hell?
What's going on,
Shaker?
Biggest complaint about this game is was it took like 10 to 15 seconds for call outs between each goal. Way too much down time. Yeah, I'm sure they're going to work on that too because
Yeah, it's new game for him. So,
but yeah, I did notice that too, Casual. There was a little bit of a delay here and there.
It just took it just allowed me to have some time to like look at everything that was going on and fully digest everything. There was certainly I I like the glow. I like the aesthetics. It makes me think of QAR or laser tag or something like that in the '9s.
I know that's the aesthetic they were going for. Yeah.
And uh they hit it out of the park.
A lot of fun. That's all you want.
All right. But yeah, definitely looking for more more fun things for them in the future.
Yeah.
I think that's Ryan in there, by the way, dancing in the mass.
Oh, yeah. Probably.
Yeah.
Yeah.
All right. Onward. On to
And another M.
And another M. And another homebrew.
This is the last M, by the way.
Monsters, Inc.
Monsters Inc. Yes.
Yeah. So, this was one of the new the new announced shortly before expo. Yep. Ernie Silverberg is the creator of Monsters Inc. Um I asked him, you know, what was the the main uh motivation? Um and you know what what was it that you really got into it? And he said, you know, Monsters, Inc. was always a a film that my family and I liked a lot and you know, was a great thing that I wanted to go for. And so he went for it.
He's telling me they hid Mike behind a logo on the AR.
They hid Mike. Oh, right. That's the gag.
Yeah. I don't know if they did that though. They should have hit him in there.
Yeah, he's just sitting there right in the middle. But yeah,
that was a missed opportunity. You're right.
Maybe the back glass has that on there. So
yeah, this one malfunctioned while I played unfortunately. I'm sorry.
Oh.
Oh, finally picked a name. Nice. Nice name by the way. Thank you. [laughter] I like this. My brother and I played six games on this and we couldn't get a single ball to the conveyor belt. I couldn't either with castle. I wanted to do that so bad, too.
It felt like it might have needed like a little stronger coil in it
potentially. Yeah, the upper flipper was stuff. Yeah, there was a way to also revolve the doors manually um via operator control like um the fellow opened up the coin door and kind of pushed a button and was able to kind of see show a little bit of what that looked like. But yeah, I wanted to I wanted to see that too. That was my mission.
This is brand new. I'm sure he'll work on a few little things like that to get that mech to work better. So,
Mike Wowsky. Yep.
Good old Mike.
This kind of comes out in a little weird way.
And Sully.
Mike and Sully.
Yeah.
Uh the Monsters University's uh television show was eh. And the Monsters University movie was good though.
Monsters Inc.
All right. We've got gameplay for this.
All right. Yes, we do. Here we go. Monsters. to see the LCD screen and stuff going on. We were a little zoomed in on it. So, apologies.
You might want to fast forward another two minutes or so because we were talking to the creator for a couple of minutes in the beginning. There we go. Um, yeah, you can stop it there if you want.
There we go. A little bit of gameplay. Um, not entirely sure what the plunger thing is there for. I guess to get your score kind of updated in that system. Show me your scared training skills.
Oh, that might be just on there momentarily. I'm not quite sure.
It's kind of taking up a lot of the screen though.
Enjoy this layout though. It's very general, very promis. Yeah. Yeah. In general, I did like the layout honestly. It uh didn't feel too complicated. I didn't wasn't sure what to think of the plunge ball mechanism though. It kind of has this weird sort of whoop-de-loop thing on the bottom and it kind of just plops it out right there. You like this?
Yeah.
I'm just hoping that that plunger ramp doesn't malfunction later on. It looks like it can be a little janky, but but no.
But it is homebrew. They will work on it.
They wanted a lot of wide [music] space. Yeah. See, that's kind of the advantage when you have that is you have a lot more space to work with that you've got kind of a abbreviated plunging situation.
Yeah. Yeah. A lot of times they people do that. So they up in the upper part it's wider. This was a pretty I I don't know if this I think there's a wide body.
I think so. Yeah. I I believe that was mentioned. I had to watch your beauty because I want to see more opinions on others. Yeah. Yeah, for sure.
Mhm.
Yeah. And plus guys, let us know what your opinions are on these games, too.
You know, feel free to jump in and type in chat.
Yep. It's definitely solid theme. This game has promise. I can't wait to play it at next year's when he's got a few more of the code and stuff.
Yeah.
Going. Always so worried about the J gates for the inlanes. Oh yeah.
Yeah. [laughter]
Yeah. It
Indiana Jones.
Yeah.
Yeah. The narrow escape.
Narrow escape. Those gates are always tricky and a little
nerve-wracking to say the least.
Uh but I notic that's sort of a game that it's sort of a feature in games now that are coming back
which is fine as long as they work. You got to give it a nice tug, a nice thump on the side to get the ball to go all the way through.
Yeah,
I can have more than one guilty pleasure like Shrek. Absolutely. CNK. Yeah, I would have to agree. Monsters is a solid beam for pinball machine. I think it was a good pick for sure. And um something I would see JJ AP [music] definitely picking up if they wanted to do more, too. Kind of the style I sort of imagining them uh taking a hold of. Right. Right orbit looks ultra dangerous. Any slower shot means you're feeding right out.
Yeah, when it comes out when it comes out of the right orbit. Yeah, it does look like it's aimed if you had the right speed right down the middle.
Mhm.
So, but that's any that's a lot of orbits to be honest. [laughter]
So,
Oh, I just did that. Went out the gate.
Yeah. And it goes and bounces, knocks the gate open, and then it goes. Yeah.
Yeah. Powered by Fast Pinball.
Yeah. Sponsored by Plunger. Yeah, it was it was good. I impressed so far with everything.
All right.
All right.
Had you casual? Nice.
Yep. And the next one, this one came out a little while ago, but there's [laughter] none on location, so we But I know the games, this particular version has only been started to hit people's really they started to ship just recently. So, we're glad that they brought it. So, got a chance to play Portal. And the cake is a lie. The cake is a lie.
The cake is a lie.
I would have been surprised if someone went like this. I'm glad they didn't.
Yeah. [laughter]
Yeah.
How long do they have to see the ads on the back last? I don't know. I was wondering about that, too.
Sponsored by Pepsi. Yeah.
Maybe he's uh works there. I don't really know. Maybe uh maybe it is a sponsor.
In which case, cool. I want some of that, though. I'm not going to knock it, man.
All right. Portal. Um, the one thing I notic about this game, there's stuff on the playfield further down.
Yeah, they've actually engineered some ramps and stuff that actually can lever over the game screens and then drop down at certain times during different modes. So, they're trying to use more of the playfield than in previous games. Instead of having everything crammed in the back, they've added stuff to it.
Right. By the way, if you're not familiar with Multimorphic as a company, this is the pinball machine company that you're able to take out um playfields and put in new playfields and then create
it's a module system. It's a module system.
The back third comes out. You drop in a new module, put in the game code, and you're playing a different game. So,
ice cream cake in the freezer right now, Tonda. Nice.
Nice.
Hopefully the game will make you hungry now that you're thinking of Portal. Uh home brerew. Remember Dave Stakes supported home brerew first? There you go. Yeah, it was uh played last year. Uh it was follow actually my favorite PC. Oh, really? Okay. Yeah. I mean, what we liked so far in this is that feature, the the stuff that we talked about. And the overall theming is fun, too. I played Portal back in the day. It's one of the last video games I think I played on computer before I started kind of levitating towards something else, but or other things in my life. Um the theming Oh, and the modes look pretty pretty fun. And it looks complicated in the sense that it looks just as uh just immersive and huge as if it was the video game itself because it looks to me like there's different rooms that you can go into. Um you can obviously use the portal gun and go to different areas eventually and so forth. So there's a lot I think is there to unpack that we haven't even we have only scratched the surface in this so far.
Yeah, we got to play we got to play exactly one game each on it. So yeah,
the eat plate looks fun. Yeah,
you're still not into PP3. Yeah, I mean honestly it's not really our thing either. Um it's not meant to be a location situation game. It's supposed to be a home thing
for people with that that don't want to have a whole bunch of physical games. You buy one, put modules in the closet and change them out.
What? Yeah. What very few P3 uh machines that are on location that are out there, there are a lot of uh there have been operators that complain that it's very difficult Most of most of them have taken them off locations because they don't
they're not robust enough for
they're not robust enough for locations and they don't tend to get as much money put in them.
Yeah.
So up until recently started like we had Princess Weird Al Princess Bride and Portal are now finally into uh themes that are licensed that you know.
Oh that's true. Yeah. It's been recent uh very fairly recent since then. Yeah.
Uh Cool Playfield. I haven't seen a giant screen like that before. Yeah, that's what makes the P3 system very unique is they do have that giant video screen as a playfield.
So, it's not only just a video screen, they have a laser grid system that actually tracks the ball so it knows on some of the games it actually has ball trails and things like that. So, that is kind of some of the stuff that's kind of cool but probably also tends to be problematic uh for an operator that doesn't understand how to repair these kind of things. Well, it's a lot of it is also complicated. Um because it may be complicated uh whether it's on one end or the other. Who is this? Hugh Fontentina. Thank you so much.
Continuum.
Continuum. Whatever. I can't read
Star Trek.
I can't read. I'm just excited. Thank you so much for coming in everybody.
Yeah, sometimes. Yeah, there are things to hit on the screen like if the inserts on here are actually just lights. They're they're part of the playfield. They're not actually inserts. So they'll be lit up and it'll actually have it'll read when the ball crosses something because it's got a laser grid on it. So
Right.
So it's kind of cool. I think it's a good step forward. It's still not quite as much pinball as we would like cuz we like we want more more more things.
Yeah, we we like a typical pinball machine and has all the bells and whistles.
Well, it has more stuff a variety of depths. This is a step in the right direction in my opinion because it's got the two ramps that are canlevered out that drop down to let the ball hit. So, it's they're trying to add stuff to Glad.
Um, it looks like probably, you know, if you played it a lot, it's probably one of the like best pinball like uh P3s.
Mhm.
So, I have no interest or vest invested interest in a Portal theme. I never played games or anything like that.
Since I have an entire family who plays it, it doesn't make sense for us. We need multiple machines. Yeah.
Yeah. Well, the other thing too is um it's it's more about like if you have limited resources, limited real estate in your house and you want to have that pinball fixed, but you still want to change things out that it's a good solution, an elegant solution for your own for your home.
Yeah. You buy the base system with a module and then you just buy the modules when they come out, you change them out.
Yeah.
But yeah, it's like if you got a if you got a big big basement that you have people over to play all the time. Yeah. One game wouldn't be sufficient for that kind of Exactly. It's got a particular niche thing. You thought Bender was in the game?
That's a different vendor I'm thinking of. Oh, thank you for that follow by the way coming in for the raid as well.
Um, yeah. I there I like I said, I want to play this further. So, I want to see what other things are going on in this game.
Yeah. Unfortunately, everyone was like,
no location in Michigan has one of these. So,
yeah, the closest one is past time.
We got to find somebody local that owns one
in their personal collection in order to play it.
So, you can get some extra games on the same playfields as well. Yeah, exactly. Arina, that's another point.
Yeah, sometimes uh some of the people will code third party games onto the same module, so you can just literally switch to a different game on it. There's a few that have been out released now for some of the modules out there.
Yeah. Crazy to think that Portal was like the last game that Valve made. Yeah.
Mhm.
Life goes fast in the world of video games.
Yes.
If uh your game is the last game, that's the best game. You may be the last one up on
the shopping block. We got another We got another P. Here we go. We got another letter P.
This is one a lot of people, I think, have been looking forward [snorts] to seeing some more gameplay, and that is Predator.
So, Pinball Brothers chose to bring only Predator machines. They didn't have their ABA. They didn't have their Queen and Aliens out of production, so they brought in Predator.
Yeah. Um,
we'll go into what our impressions are of the game, but I will say this. It's better than ABA and it's better than uh
Queen. Thank you. I almost said Spinal Tap.
Yes,
I wanted to see Spinal Tap, by the way. Homebrew or Home Pin, rather. That's okay. Um, get to the hell.
Oh, get to the heli. Sorry.
Get to the chopper.
Get to the top of
Yes.
Does it really seem that much though? Yeah, [laughter]
it is
because it's better. It is worth mentioning because it's not worse. It's not the same as those last two games. They got better. So, I'm excited about it.
Yeah.
Yeah. Cuz Alien was actually done by Highway and so different design team and stuff like that. So, that they sort of just inherited that, right?
And I think they're getting better
on on this game. So, this one felt a whole lot better than Aba and Queen. Oh, I'd still say it's probably not quite as good as Alien.
No. Yeah, it's not as quite as good as Alien. Um, but definitely in the step in the right direction. Um, hats off to the Pinball Brothers team and, you know, integrating everything um the way you should in this game as well. I thought all the callouts were on point. Uh, all the cinematic uh, you know, scenes that they showed fit in with whatever modes you were doing. Yeah, it was solid. Uh, what's the main gameplay path in the game? Uh, is it the is that a Jurassic Park style map to move through the jungle? Excellent question.
I can't remember. Um, we're going to show some gameplay. Maybe we'll see some of that stuff. Uh, once the cameras adjust a little bit here. There we go. Um, [snorts] again, we had to kind of
do one of them. Well, eventually you figured out that one of them was magnetic.
Well, the side rails were magnetic, but we'll see that. Yeah, the uh the lock bar was not magnetic. So, camera
whatever whatever their stainless was, they used it must be a low 300 grade stainless.
Yeah. Um but uh once we get the camera all situated. There we go. Um
yeah, to answer your question, I don't honestly remember if it is that particular style, if it's like you're going through a map, cuz that seems to be the most sensible thing to do, right? apparently collect some of your characters in the movie as you find them.
Alien direct connection to Predator table uh 4 versus mode win. I know, right?
Everyone's just thinking about that like Alien versus Predator. Is it going to happen?
So, some of the things to note about this game uh this is actually now using all of the fast electronics and standard Williams Valley mechs. Alien had everything was proprietary. They had they used a PC board, all these custom controller boxes and stuff like that, and they've gone away from all of the custom stuff, trying to use more off the shelf components underneath.
That being said, they're really being hurt by
shipping and tariff pricing. Yeah, that's the unfortunate thing about
these are very pricey here in the US
and unfortunately $125,000 is
not quite
not what we're going for in a price point for a game.
Yeah, I don't think it was
quite
Oh, you assemble your team to fight the Predator God in Mr. Dark G. That seems to be what it is.
Yeah.
Squalito, how's it going? Yeah, RPO was great. We're kind of uh slightly past the midway point here and showing all the games and things that uh we got to experience there. Uh right now we're going over Predator from Pinball Brothers the Hunter Approaches.
Yes, Scalo. We'll be we'll get we'll be getting to that one. Yes,
it's uh we're doing this in alphabetical order.
Yeah. Rather than
rather than ch Yeah.
Yeah.
Choose favorites and and try to do that. Winchester is a W. So um we're getting to it.
Got to be at the end. Um, yeah, we played Winchester there. Uh, we can't wait to tell you what we think about it. It, uh,
yes. So, stay tuned.
So, Predator, I think it played all right. Um, I mean, it is
it's a the price point is not what kind of thing.
Yeah. Well, it's you got the game play does and and components and mechs don't match the price, but that's also because they're being hammered [music] by tariff pricing and stuff like that. So, they're also squishing scorpions.
Game over. All right, let's see what this
your lights silver. How's it going?
Yeah,
I'm late. I'm [snorts] late.
Well, you've you've missed everything in the alphabet up till predator here.
Well, that's okay. You can catch up on
You can catch up on on the bod. Yeah.
Um but yeah, it is a tough price point. Um but it's a challenge out there, you know, and you guys feel it. We all feel it, right? Mhm.
Whether that's the groceries or the pinball that you play.
Hawkins is collected. Oh, yeah. By the way, that reminds me uh Pooch or was it Pooch?
What? Whatever the one of the the characters, one of the actors was there signing autographs.
Oh. Uh Chavez.
Yeah. I don't remember his character name. Anyway, he was there at at the booth a couple of times and he looks good for his age. Looks a lot like his original character.
Did he play Poncho or
Poncho? That was the character's name. I don't know. I couldn't think of the name of it.
I thought it was Chavez or
something. I forgot. I forgot the uh actor's name.
Yeah.
But he was there signing
signing autographs and meeting.
It's got Yeah, this game's got some neat things in it. Um you know, it's got
Yeah, some of the stuff I feel the art on the bottom by the flippers may have been a last minute change.
Oh, maybe.
I suspect that they had originally art of all the characters. Pono, thank you.
Poncho. They had art of all the the the team members, but they probably couldn't get the rights to it at the last minute and swapped out the
Oh, yeah. Maybe.
Yeah. To me, that kind of feels that way,
right?
But yeah, there's definitely like a map thing in there. So, yeah,
we haven't hit W. Yeah, exactly. Uh, there might be the license premium for Predator, too, to explain. Oh, yeah. There's Macho, by the way.
Yeah. Um, yeah, it a lot of these, especially if they're heavy nostalgia involved and and um they've got a huge fan base for them, chances are the prices are going to be, you know, up there.
Um, it's hard to find good stuff that uh doesn't have a huge fan base or some sort of like underground hit. You know, there's less and less of those now.
Yeah, he wasn't. Yeah, the Predator was not prominently featured in the artwork. He was a small sculpt, so we're kind of there in the back middle.
Yeah, that's true.
But keep in mind that might actually be what they were going for because since you don't see him for most of the movie, you know, they
I can buy that for a dollar.
Now, they would have been cool if they had done some sort of like
those like like a mirrored cover that drops out of the way so you so he's not camouflaged or some sort of prismatic thing that moves out of the way. That could have been something
that would have been me. So
like you see those invisible car or you've seen videos of invisible cars and it's literally like a television screen or something.
Yeah. I'm just thinking just sort of a prism thing that kind of makes them looks looks like you've seen those things that makes it look pixelated. But yeah, and then it just drops out of that. That would have been good.
Yeah. But all it was all right and all right.
Yeah, overall it was it was a lot of fun with this game I would say. Um I think the other thing that I liked also was the overall uh booth setup in general I think was was really and having that tent and going in there and playing it with the with the jungle theme and all that sort of stuff. It was a lot of fun. Octorest, how's it going?
Yeah. So all in all, it was uh you know it was a pretty good game. I
Price is a bit of miss on this one unfortunately for us. Mhm.
So,
all right. Well, the next one's not quite a game. It's something out outstanding. Actually, our friend Ryan Mcuade actually made this.
He made for Roller Coaster Tycoon. He had made a topper that was a roller coaster. Uh, and it would go around that
he had a glitch here where he glued something and actually glued a wheel.
Oh, is that what it was? Cuz they kept pushing it up above this. Apparently when he glued some stuff together, glue dripped into the wheel and it's like it's not moving.
But yeah, he actually had a functional roller coaster for his roller coaster tycoon.
And it won, I think, first prize at best topper if I'm not mistaken.
I think so. I think you won.
Yeah.
But uh yeah, it was one of the categories in the home section is, you know, homemade topper that is integrated with the game. But I thought that was really cool
as well. Really good. Good job on that one.
Um casual. No, we didn't uh we didn't film any of the Pokemon because we actually did that last year. Yes. Yeah, we actually played that one last year.
Yes. Jungle Climate seems kind of bad for a pinball this year.
Well, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, of course. Okay, so that was a pretty quick one. Uh new
good point. [laughter] Yeah.
Um next up is
another homebrew.
It's another homebrew and it's on public domain, ladies and gentlemen.
Public domain licensing. Y
there's only a couple of things in here. The guy said that weren't public domain. Uh,
okay.
But here's one of them. Steambo get to that point.
And on the top is the best part right there.
Mhm.
I love that.
Yeah. It's It's so cool.
I don't know how much fog machine water you need per uh hour
hour. [laughter] You have to just keep piping and pumping it in.
Yeah. But it was on the whole time. I have to say that
you'll you have to build a tank with a little like toilet bowl float so when it gets down certain level it fills up the fluid again.
Yeah. But yeah, it was really cool. Um, let me let me read this. Let's see. Uh, Bob Bevans is the username on Pinside. This particular homebrew was started about 5 years ago and we're up at this point now with it. And, uh, it came out fantastic.
Uh, Dwight seemed to be camping that Pokemon. Oh, yeah. Really?
Clearly Stern's not making a Pokemon game. Uh, yeah. Well, this licensing is probably really expensive. Mama says, "I keep forgetting to look for this." Uh, Simbo Willie pinball machine looks amazing. Yeah, I thought so, too. Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah. Everything in there that you'd ever want and it's charming and it's everything you you can have for public domain purposes.
Um, what was this things? You couldn't talk about the voice uh or you couldn't show the voice. You couldn't show the whistle. I think they still hold uh copyrights to the sound of Steamboat Willie.
Yeah,
because they do have that in their busy logo, the whistling. Um, but yeah, there's some weird caveats to it. It's bizarre. The whole thing is all weird.
All right, so this next homebrew,
uh, Rob Burke, the run, the guy who runs Pinball Expo, actually paid to have this one shipped overseas,
so shipped in for the convention, so it's based off,
it's based off of a TV show that we're not familiar with. Some a lot of us anyway. This is The Invaders. It came out in the '60s. It only ran for two seasons. It's a lot of espionage and aliens that are involved with it, but seemingly a lot more of the
the detective genre.
The detective genre more so than the alien part of it and especially in the second season evidently.
Um, very interesting stats.
We were trying to get a ball on stage. What did life shake?
Oh, yeah.
Um, I haven't watched an episode of the show yet, but I'm I'm intrigued now. But yeah, you'll see a lot of the the Star Tilt 60 stuff here.
And it was playing uh it was actually playing later. It was playing that wall unstuck.
We Gary and I towards the end of the con uh we were able to, you know, play this game when it was less less.
Oh, there there is one one thing that So,
he actually had the side of the cabinet cut out.
Oh, yeah.
So, you in lighting up the invaders with RGB. That was actually a cool idea.
That was a really cool idea cuz you can't really tell what where the lights are and how many there are and individual things, you know.
Well, yeah. It's like that whole panel on the side there, you know, this actually looks really really cool.
Yeah.
So,
super niche fun. That's kind of why I like it too, Honda. Anything that's niche is always intriguing to me.
Like, I want to know more about this show, even if it might not be our bag.
Yeah.
Well, know until you watch one episode, right? Invader's machine felt the closest to a big manufacturer. Seemed to nothing to me, but it uh felt quite professional. I have to agree. Especially the overall um display. Oh, yeah. Yeah, the overall display with the game itself uh was definitely set up and felt professional as well. I have to
um
but yeah, super niche theme.
Yeah,
this this guy, whoever it was, they really enjoyed this this
Yeah, this show
two seasons in the 60s. Why not? How long did Batman last in the 60s anyway? Was it more than three seasons? I want to say
I don't know.
I don't know. I should look this up.
Yeah,
let's see. Batman original TV show.
Uh 120 episodes, three seasons. I was right. That was a guess, too. 120 episodes on ABC.
Three seasons. Wow. That's 40 episodes a year.
40 episodes. That's a lot.
Yeah, baby.
All right. So, the next one is not a new game, but it was a high-end modified game that actually looked really cool.
Yes.
This had this they basically redone all the artwork with this really cool foil
and a movie. You're right.
Oh, yeah. and a movie.
So, it was all everything was like highly polished, plated with all this foil artwork on it.
It actually just looked really cool. So,
yeah. By the way, don't spoil Tron Aries. We haven't watched it yet. And yes, we know it's not getting good reviews. Boo.
Yeah.
But I still want to like it. [laughter]
Yeah.
But yeah, it's very shiny. I love it. Yeah. This is a Tron, I guess, reskin. You want to say?
Yeah. It's a high-end restoration. I'm going to call it a high-end restoration mod. But yeah, it was a total
Yeah, it was great. I mean, even that part is
like everything is polished and you know the
the little lever from your backbox even has like that. Oh, and the little like
the disc topper.
That is so cool. I want to pick it up and throw it.
Yeah.
Reminds me of the super fancy.
Yeah. And they had this cool lighted apron. Yeah. It was just it it was really I don't remember what the price was, but it was well out of what we'd want to spend on.
Yeah.
On the Tron game for sure.
They posted it ready for me to play it.
What a friendly fellow.
They were actually letting people play it at this point. Once it got sold then
Oh yeah.
Yeah. Later on it was just not playable. But
once they sold it, it was like hands off everybody.
Yeah.
Yep.
That's interesting. He he brought those machines knowing full well I'm not happy with that. I guess that's his company is they do these high-end restorations cuz he had an Indiana Jones right by it. So,
okay. Yeah, that was smart.
Yeah,
very shiny indeed.
Whichever Terminator where it saw its chrome uh T2 Yeah, that was T2.
Oh, they did have a T2 on on sale by the way at the very end in the very entrance of the of the uh they they literally pl
somebody plopped it in the entry and they were they were like we're not taking this game home. They had it down to what was it?
It was 3,3600.
3600 tried [clears throat] to sell it for 3600. 3600's not bad.
Not too bad if it was working now.
Yeah.
Mhm.
And a Harley might have been that.
All right, we're getting towards the end.
Yeah. Got another homebrew here.
Yep.
It's called It's actually another Detroit person that has done this one.
Yeah.
So, uh, what's the guy's name?
Uh, you have it.
Mogly Mog Muggly Mood on
on pin side. I don't have his official name, I think.
So, turbo time. So it's car racing theme. So
I'm not sure what the name of this is.
Obviously you got
fantastic. You got your three cars.
Ferrari mustard.
Ferrari Corvette. Your Viper-ish thing. Yeah. Right.
Um yeah, it was uh it was a lot of fun. I uh I like the theming. I like the the overall aesthetics as well as I mean fun factor. a little more campy. Maybe a little more campier than
the the guy guy guy guy guy guy guy guy guy guy guy guy guy guy guy guy guy guy guy guy wanted the the the Corvette LT1 but it's not built you know you know how the LT1 has like engine in there so he did something with this long block there being built
based on the arcade game um
it might be the guy was not there when we were playing it so we couldn't ask him questions about it.
Yeah, Turbo Time is the name of the the game
Turboastic. I keep wanting to say Turboastic from, you know, our beloved movie.
Wreckit Ralph.
Wreckit Ralph. Thank you.
Yeah, Turbo Time.
Complete all to start the movie. So, yeah, there was a little bit of a rule set banner right there that uh is sort of out of frame at the moment. Um, unfortunately, there's a little bit of a
Oh, there you go. You kind of went over there to get rid of the the glare.
Um, I do like that engine in the back of that. That cool. It's great aesthetic. Yeah.
I'm not sure if the ball drops in there or anything. We didn't get enough time on it to see if it did anything.
Turbo time with an NA V10 Viper. Yeah.
Oh, okay. Yeah.
The engine is such a great touch, I have to say. Yeah. And the little joysticks. I thought about that. Actually, I think it's like rollers.
You could actually uh
you can control the pinball machine like that. Yeah.
Sort of like the little
flipper buttons are on the back of the wheel so you can hold it like the game. So,
yeah. So, I don't think it was supposed to be based off of Road Blasters per se. Maybe it's a homage to it with that controller there. But I know I kept wanting to turn it like I'm like firing at it like using my car. [laughter]
Left, right, right, right, right, right, left, left. No, it doesn't do that. It's trigger based. So,
it was neat. Top. Yeah, it was a good touch. I liked it a lot.
All right.
Well, all right. So, now we're going to show you this video first before saying anything.
Oh, sure. If you want to do in that order.
Tell us what happened here, Gary.
What happened?
What happened? You broke the game. So I two for three on debut games breaking it. I broke Labyrinth and I've now broken the the mystery house.
Y [music]
So in the middle of his game play,
you can watch
just watch what he's doing. He's doing his thing starting the mode or avoiding, you know, drink.
Now he's going to start the mode here.
I I will say I will say I was on a ball one.
Oh yeah, ball one. I had 82 million which was a really good score so for this game so far.
Yep.
And as I was playing
Yep. I'm like
flicker and playing.
What happened? [screaming]
And the moment I saw that screen turn off, I went
Oh, you reached the end of the code.
I reached the end of the code. I think they said they got about had about 25% of the code in there. Didn't I do that on [laughter] 11?
Yeah. But uh
dang it.
Oh,
but after that we were like, we have to leave. And and the funny thing is you you were only playing that ball for like 10 minutes.
I had my ball for like maybe 2 minutes and then you when you had your turn and then it reset the whole game. So at that point you're kind of like, well, it would just seem rude to like restart it and make everyone wait again. So
cuz we did wait about 45 minutes to play at one time. Okay. the first time we played that that was this was later and we didn't have to wait as long when I when I got that really good game. But yeah,
you missed this one if you're missing out. That's okay. You you'll have a chance, I'm sure, to play it somewhere else. I'm hoping anyway because I know Yeah, I know they're limited edition in terms of how many they have actually sold. Uh what was the count? 600 and something I think
525. 525.
That's the address of the Winchester Mystery, by the way. So
yeah, the steering yolk is 100% from Road Blasters. Looks like this. He must have three 3D printed the white handles though. Oh, okay. Yeah.
Yeah.
Um, hold on. I'm
Yeah, I think I think the hundred are are out of that 525. So, it's part of that 525 100 were designated to overseas.
Mhm.
Yeah.
Yeah. I um in general, what I what how I feel about this game is it's a unique theme. Number one. Uh, number two, it's a theme that's based off of an actual thing that you can visit in San Jose, California. Now, you know, you probably know where this is going because I'm originally from California. I've been to this house, so my expectations were a little high in terms of, okay, how are they going to make this kind of be weird? Now, to give you a little bit of a history about Winchester Mystery House, [music] it was owned by Sarah Winchester, the widow of the Firearms Winchester company. Um the house became a tourist attraction uh after she passed away. Uh evidently she believed that there were spirits telling her that in order for her uh to not be haunted by the spirits that she has to keep building and building and building and it's a Gothic style mansion to begin with, Victorian style and everything. Um the structure itself has
how many rooms? I forgot.
Let me look real quick.
Here's some of [music] the actual game. Oh yeah, here's some of the gameplay. Sorry. as I'm reading through some of this stuff. 45acre ranch, 21 year old.
But yeah, so you know, irrespect.
So basically, it's Winchester Mystery House. You could take the Winchester off the title and it's the mystery house. So it's sort of like a haunted,
you know, paranormal haunted house game.
Yeah. By the way, that whole thing right there that's turning on the upper hand right hand corner of the screen is a huge
diverter. It's basically cool. So, if you ever played there's a board game called Suro where you put down these little you make the paths. It's kind of like one of those. It goes
and it'll change the paths,
right?
Yeah.
Hoping it's hard and people rage [music] sell it. [laughter]
You probably will see one soon, I'm sure.
Yeah.
Wait, I know this place.
The diverter is really good. It actually works [music] really snappy. It's like and it goes. So, it's it's not like So,
yeah. I don't know if you ever been to a top fob. I've only been to it a couple of times myself. Um, it's just kind of one of those things you never think of doing until someone's in town. You
I've been there twice. I I I went I went once with uh my ex and then I went I took my mom when she was visiting one time. There you go.
Yeah. Well, thanks uh [music] Pat. We'll see you around. Appreciate it. When you you look at Winchester, you already made room for it, so it should be should be soon. Got it. Thank you.
Uh yeah, Jeff showed off the uh the mech. It's a big fat motor. Oh, really? Okay.
Uh Helen Marin plays Sarah Winchester in the film Free on Crime Right now. Oh yeah, the Winchester Mystery House movie. Yes, it's bad. Don't buy it. Unless you have a bunch of friends over, maybe you'll have some fun with it, but it's bad.
Yeah, you have a have a rivet tracks session on that movie.
Oh yeah, that's true. Went for the dark tour on Oh, that's smart. Yeah, I never did the full extended tour. I only did like the normal like you know general admissions tour, but there's one that's like a hard hat tour you can do and all that.
Yeah.
Yeah. A lot of lot of lot of stuff to unpack.
Okay.
Uh what were you going to say?
I was going to say let's talk about the game a little bit here. Um
so this the game designer is Carl D'Python Anghelo. So I pinball streaming. So [music]
yeah,
he's the guy who did the design.
So Carl did what again?
He's the designer.
He's a designer. No, I'm saying what does Carl do? Is he
Oh, he's he's IE Pinball.
IE Pinball.
Yeah. Big streamer does a lot of tournaments and stuff like that. So,
so now you know
they actually had him design this game,
man. This is one of the best kept secrets.
Yeah, we we it came out of left field. People were like, "What is Winchester Mystery and why are we doing this?" Uh, actually, they have uh barrel, sorry, barrels are fun, right? um they put out a video about this uh and why they decided with this theme and so forth. Um
so it's very unique uh with that in mind, but that's done as as something in purpose because they want to pick unique themes they said in [music] their video.
Um yeah, I mean Barrels is a little is a boutique manufacturer to a degree. I mean they're picking obviously themes that are slightly offkilter, right? you know, Labyrinth, Dune, you know, you're probably not going to see stirring things. Oh, by the way, this one's bass is really high, which is why the the
Oh, the camera.
The camera is vibrating cuz actually has it has a bit of shaker [music] in there,
right? This one looks so cool on stream. Oh, yeah, for sure. Ghost flipper, how you doing? I like that loopy feed in the top right corner. Yeah. Yeah, there's a lot of interesting loops as well. I'm starting to see a pattern of some of the barrels of fun games with that as well. So, Wolfman, the middle section, what looks like bluish, that's actually kind of a rough ghostly map of the house. There's each inserts a different part of the house.
Yeah. Which I thought was cool. Um, again, I can't wait to unpack all of that cuz
um, from what I remember of the tour of the house, it is kind of unique and a bit spooky. I'm sure it's a lot spookier in Halloween like like what Ara was mentioning earlier.
Super nutty story. Yeah. Uh, it was one of those things that maybe not everyone knew about, but as soon as I saw it, I was like, "Hey, I know about that house." Yeah. Yeah. Especially if you're local or you live on the West Coast or you visited out of town, you'll remember the house cuz it is a very It's kind of smack dab in the middle of San Jose as well. It's this whole city just grew around it, you know.
Mhm. Used to be used to be in the middle of uh fields.
Yeah. Oh, 500 rooms at its largest. Unfortunately, at one point it did burn down some of it. I think there was a tower uh built on the third floor or whatever that burnt down at one point, but a lot of it was also um
yeah, the the 1906 earthquake actually severely damaged it. Um but they did rebuild some of it eventually and then uh had tourists.
But yeah, 500 rooms. Can you guys imagine that?
500 rooms.
Probably Wolf Man, if they if they put them all in the ball, it would just obscure the ball. There's so many inserts. So they had to place some around the outside. That would be my guess.
The choice of Winchester night with the only flashlights and lights out. Oh, nice. Super. Yeah, I'll have to make it a point to make it over there.
Mhm.
And I probably hit it hard, too. Probably a rock. I'm not sure what uh here. Let's see what the Wikipedia said. Didn't talk about that necessarily, but yeah. Uh it looks Yeah, we talked never heard of the house before, but lots of opportunity with theme. Yeah, I mean that's exactly what they were going for. Yeah, it's like par paranormal haunted house that that that's essentially yours.
Yeah, they put in some of the things that were very important to Sarah Winchester and the things that she did in the reasoning, the seances and stuff. So, if you watch if you go like ether look at Wikipedia and read the history of the house.
There's a lot of strange things that she did for strange reasons and they've tried [music] to bring them into this.
Yeah.
In the game play. And as of September 2022, the house is owned and operated by Winchester Mystery House LLC, which is a private company that represents the descendants of the Browns.
Captive of the Lambert Fauther, Mary Joe wrote that our tour guides are required to follow a script emphasizing fabrications and [music] inaccuracies.
So, they're still going strong with the tours out there.
And we're poking things. Anything in the house is built in sets of 13 or everything in the house is built to sets of 13. So that's another weird uh weird thing going on
with it.
Yeah, they do use a lot of like a lot of the inserts and stuff are like look like the stained glass that's in the house. So our art style is really it looks really good in person. These pictures don't do it justice to be honest.
Right. So I'll see on small. There you go. On a house where the doors and stairs lead to nowhere making it very work. That's what makes the the the whole mystery house what it is and the name of it as being the mystery house is because of its weird
Yeah. because she would start building something and then the spirits would something her you know the seance would tell her that no spirits don't like that. She used to abandon building that part and move to a different
Yeah. stuff like that. So, like if you ever look up the word uh spite house, it's sort of similar in the in the sense that there's some weird things are going on with spite houses and what they look like. Uh this is different in terms of that, but similar in the same time.
All right.
All right. So, are we moving on with that?
I think we're going to move back on to talking
on to this onto We went through this whole list. That was a lot of stuff. We played a lot of games.
I mean, we didn't play every game obviously, but a lot of them we had played before. I mean, we hardly touched like a Stern because we own several of the new ones, so we don't need to play it at the convention.
But yeah,
but now we have a little bit of a thing to share with you.
Here's the surprise.
Here's the surprise.
So, in a in a few weeks, we will have a Winchester Mystery House here.
That's right. [music] We uh pulled the trigger.
We did. We got a Winchester mystery house. Not sure when uh that exact [music] uh delivery date will be. Um but there you go.
But but is bought and paid for.
It is bought and paid for. So uh yeah, Gary, I I know. I was I was shocked too, too.
Despite me breaking [laughter] it with I bought I broke I broke the code. They'll have that fixed long before they get there. So yeah.
Yeah. Call the Empire. You didn't want to play it. Yeah. [laughter] Well, it's going to be around everywhere. You have plenty of opportunity to play it later.
What? The Winchester Mystery House.
Oh, no, no, no. Fall Empire. Yeah.
Yeah. No, we we did already. We had, you know, we we got to go to the media day for the that game. So, we didn't even touch it at the convention.
We we The reason why we got Winchester was it was a thing that grabbed us right away. We also have unfortunately
burnout [music] with stern machines.
We've got a lot of stir machines, so we wanted to we wanted something that played and felt differently. And plus uh you know plus D'Python Anghelo uh the designer of the game is a wellrespected game player. [music] Carl D'Python Anghelo bought a Toy Story 4 and within a week he had beat the game so bad that he sold it within a week. So he's a very good player. And so we were like he's going to understand a good shooting game. And based on we had actually gotten it before we went to [music] Expo. We
we had to pull it because it was sold out. It was sold out by expo. Yeah.
So, we we took it took a little bit of a little bit of gamble.
Yeah. We did see some of the videos. You know, we did actually hear from a lot of people we know in the industry that had touched the game and say it plays really well. So, we were getting it pretty with good confidence that we were going to enjoy the game. So,
so jealous. Yeah. I knew it. Congrats. Thank you. You must be worth 12k. Yeah. I mean,
ask this guy over here. Uh expo, did you get it at the show? No. Where did people find allocations that late? Well, yeah, we did it before.
It's good to switch it up. I'm jealous, but I can't wait to see you stream it. Yeah. I'm sorry that we're making you guys jealous, but it's going to be fun cuz you'll have a chance to look at it and watch it. Yeah.
Talk about a surprise release. Pat, I thought you were going to bed and a surprise announcement. I'm buying one. Yeah.
Okay. Oh, you gambled it on day one zero. Yeah, that's right.
Yeah. Yeah, we did. So,
that's exactly what I did with Labor so I can get it. Yeah.
Mhm.
Yeah. So, that's that's kind of the game that we have to play at this point.
It sold out in two days.
Yeah.
Yeah. [music]
I know that's crazy.
But again, how many were made? 525. He had to get on it.
Yep. And that he said that he's he's going to be good to [music] his word that he is not going to produce more than that.
I believe him.
So yeah.
Yeah. Annoyance [music] with Stern. Yeah. Means we already assume Pokemon's going to suck. Well, that's assuming Pokemon's even going to be made
they even make it. So
yeah, it's like it's going to be an expensive license. So, you know, they're going to have to take some shortcuts on the actual game.
That's just [music] going to be how it is. or they're going to charge a lot more
or they're Yeah. And I don't think they're going to do that. In fact, Stern has made it a point to make sure that the prices are going to stay down and [music] as long as they possibly can,
but we don't know how long that's going to be.
Yeah.
And how they're going to pass that on to the savings on to us. Again, we don't know how that's going to be.
Either way,
there's a lot of bouncing.
Either that, we're probably not going to be in the market to buy a Pokemon because giving that has three games this year. So,
Oh god. Yeah. Even getting this point, I'm I'm surprised we were able to to to pull it out.
I was able to juggle some stuff. I'm like, "All right, I'll move some stuff from
selling machine soon." I think
we'll probably sell something soon. We haven't decided which one yet.
No, we haven't.
So, we don't need to sell I mean, it's not a emergency.
I totally lose my job.
No, I'm just kidding. [laughter]
No, we'll figure it out. Um there's always a will. There's always a way. Um, and I'm I'm happy and thankful that uh we're going to have that opportunity and share with you guys.
Anyway, thanks everybody for coming by tonight, sharing. We're happy to share our pinball expo exploits with you.
Let me finish catching up on chat here. We'll we'll start doing the Minnesota goodbye here. So, you like all the turns releases just been uh dumb mistakes after dumb mistakes. Uh so, I'll [music] put the money down for Beetlejuice and then the Spooky Gamble Pokemon video game is awful. Top. Yeah, I haven't played the video game from the Pokemon. I haven't touched Pokemon in so long. Hey there, Tim. Uh, Dune was a surprise for me. It was fun to play. Yeah, I mean, we were really really genuinely happy with uh the new code because we hadn't played anything new when they first [music] first released the game. Now, uh, seeing that and also the special edition backlash art for Dune, it was it was a lot of fun. It was solid.
Yeah, we played the Dune on launch code and it was
eh at best a pretty game, a lot great lights, just eh on the code. They've really dialed that code up. So,
absolutely, absolutely. Great coverage. Thanks for using my Pinball Expo FOMO for a bit. [laughter]
You're very welcome, T. Thanks again for stopping in. Um, [music] yeah, I'll give you a shout out as well, TA, cuz folks need to know that you also run an awesome uh not just [music] a pinball stream, but a video game stream uh retro classics and uh all sorts of fun. Uh you'll definitely have a lot of fun uh checking out his stream as well, right?
You're very welcome. Um yeah, I mean, this is what it's all about. Uh we want to thank you for for hanging out with us and uh and saying hi to us. And again, I we're very sorry for anytime we played a game a little longer than [music] than you know, if you wanted to play the game, you know,
waiting in line if we got a good game rolling or something like that.
We'll do better.
Yeah. [laughter] Well, for anybody who saw it expo or glad to have [music] seen met, talked with and all that stuff and we did the stream for any of those [music] of you out there that didn't get a chance to go to get to see all this stuff. There just there was a lot of really good stuff.
There was tons of homebrews. The homebrew
the homebrew section is off the hook. It was wonderful.
Getting more bigger and bigger each year.
Bigger and bigger each year. And also a lot of support um from uh Marco. They they definitely are in it to win it, to help the community grow um and and help others share their passion and to continue to motivate each other because it is probably one of the more challenging things to get into because of all the hurdles. [music] I mean, we're talking game code, we're talking design, I mean, it just goes on and on and on and on. Y
So, [music] it it's it's great to see that uh thriving and and everything. But but in in recap, I think Winchester [music] Mystery House actually stole the show. Everybody was talking about it and pretty much everybody that played it liked it a lot. So, [music]
a lot of people were like,
"I can't. I was going like, I played it. I want to put a deposit down." They're like, "Sorry, it's sold."
