TL;DR

Pinball streaming commentary seminar with live match demos and best practices discussion.

Summary

Alex Levy and Jade Ang host Pintastic New England's first Thursday night seminar on tournament commentary techniques for pinball streaming. They simulate high-level matches featuring competitive players (Bowen Kerins, Mitch Chip Curtis, Mark from Jersey Jack Pinball, and others) playing Attack from Mars, with live commentary demonstration followed by a discussion of best practices for streaming pinball tournaments.

Key Claims

  • Commentators should focus on the action of the game rather than personal anecdotes or off-topic stories during active play

high confidence · Alex Levy, seminar portion - emphasized multiple times that viewers want to watch the game action, not hear about what commentators had for lunch

  • Avoid excessive chat engagement during active match play; chat users often answer questions for each other without commentator intervention needed

high confidence · Alex Levy - stated that chat self-polices and you don't need to answer every comment during a ball in play

  • Commentators should keep rules discussions brief and focused on immediate opportunities rather than comprehensive rule tutorials

high confidence · Alex Levy - distinguished between a Bowen Kerins-style full tutorial and stream-appropriate rules talk; focus on what's available now, not six achievements away

  • Between-ball or between-game downtime is the appropriate moment for off-topic commentary, anecdotes, and chat engagement

high confidence · Alex Levy - stated commentators should keep any straying story to 15-20 seconds maximum during active play

  • Situational awareness (knowing scores, what each player needs) is critical for keeping viewers engaged about the stakes

high confidence · Alex Levy - emphasized tracking score deficits and discussing what a player could accomplish in a few shots to stay in the game

  • Commentators should give booth-mates space and occasionally ask for their opinion to include them in the broadcast

medium confidence · Alex Levy - mentioned bringing in newcomers and asking for their takes on particular shots

  • The video mode on Attack from Mars features a side-to-side sweep mechanic and a budget power-up that can be triggered by starting button to clear advancing spaceships

high confidence · Alex Levy's live commentary during the Mitch vs. Bowen match - described the mechanic in detail during play

  • Attack from Mars remakes have slightly different shot geometry and flipper characteristics than originals

Notable Quotes

Alex Levy@ 22:01 — Core commentary philosophy - action focus with designated off-topic windows

  • “You shouldn't get into any kind of story or anecdote that you're not going to be able to get out of within 15 or 20 seconds.”

Alex Levy@ 22:31 — Establishes time limit for tangential commentary during active play

  • “Rules are good to talk about, but I think you really want to just kind of look at what's available to the player right now, maybe not what's going to be available six or seven achievements from now.”

Alex Levy@ 22:52 — Distinguishes between comprehensive rules tutorialvs. stream-appropriate rules commentary

  • “The name of the streaming game is focusing on the game. The chat is cool to engage in or dip in, but keep in mind that a lot of the stuff in the chat will take care of itself.”

Alex Levy@ 24:56 — Prioritizes game action over chat management during broadcasts

  • “I've been at shows before where somebody will maybe explain the intricacies of a double elimination bracket every four or five minutes. That doesn't really need to be done.”

The first Thursday night seminar ever, and interesting origin story. So I've been following a lot of the online discussions about streaming and gear. I like to read about all the audiovisual gear. and at the end of one post and one thread, Levy said something like, I've got half a mind to do a seminar about how to give proper commentary for streaming pinball. And I had half a mind to have a seminar about streaming pinball. So we took our two half a minds and put them together and we got one mind and here we are. Levy, take it away. All right, thank you for joining us at the first ever Thursday night Pintastic seminar. I hope you're as excited. Calm down, calm down, calm down. All right, for this seminar, we are going to simulate an actual stream of an actual high-level pinball tournament. So with no further ado, let's introduce our competitors tonight. and I don't want to get anybody too excited but they are playing for three American dollars this match has stakes three dollars tax-free we'll go to the winner we're not going to tell anybody and uh all right let's get started our first competitor one of the greatest New Robert Englunds pinball players of all time famous beyond compare the former owner of flat top johnnies let's hear for the former multiple New Robert Englunds champion of the world, Mitch Curtis. Thank you, buddy. Thank you. You're welcome. Please don't talk to me. And his opponent, some scrub I've never heard of before, the current New Robert Englunds champion of the world, B-B-B-B-Bowen Caires. And Bowen will be leading off on Attack from Mars, a great game to stream. You know it. You love it. You know the rules. Shoot the lock thingy for locks. Start the multiball. Open the space shield dealie. But enough yakking. Let's see some hot pinball action. And please welcome my co-host, Jade Ang, who will be commenting this game with us. Jade. Jade. Jade. Jade. Where are those $3? Where's the money? I want my $3. $3. $1. Two. I will have to owe you... No, it's three. All right. All right. It's Attack from Mars. You know it, you love it. Are we going to see someone rule the universe tonight? I'm not sure. Which caliber player you're just hoping for a multiball to be? Oh, nice little drop catch. Oh, misses his first shot. Is that a bad omen for this match? Misses his second shot. Misses his third shot. It's a B for Rama. Uh-oh. All right, under control. We're good. Nice orbit shot. Yeah, we can hear the players, too. It's distracting. Ah, still getting a handle on that kick out. You're looking for a beautiful drop catch out of that kid. Now hitting all those shots and all four shots will get his Total Nuclear Annihilation multiball. Looks like he's getting an early start on that. He plates his lobster. Oh boy, that's trouble. Someone doesn't use the biggest one before. Oh, he's in Sling Town. That's a bad place to be. Very nice drop catch. I don't know what he's going for there. Maybe he's trying to get his shield open? Looks like we're going full turtle annihilation here. And it's off to a very nice early start. Oh, the sling. Uh-oh. Yeah, this table's set pretty tight. Survives another in lane. Are the gods of $1 bills smiling on Bowen Kerins tonight? You know, this is a game that does punish you for missed shots, and so far it's not. Uh-oh. You tucked it up. You tucked it up. Got a little cute there and paid the price. All right. Here comes the former New Robert Englunds champion, Mitch Curtis. All right. That was a very nice first ball by Bonkarenz. He got a bunch of his Total Nuclear Annihilation shots done. Oh, wow. Goes for the skill shot. Oh! Oh, and he survives. You know, Jay, that's why I never do that. I don't like to risk losing it off the score, but he did open it, and he did get his ball back. Oh, he looked out. Attacking the center. Oh, and he paid for it. Wow. All right. That was a relatively quick ball. Yeah, he did get his saucer open. And if he's playing all saucer, I guess that's what he wants to do. Oh, wow. Now Bowen's going for some discussion. A little copycat action. You know, it is a copycat beat. Wow. Only now that he's, what, four shots away from a saw? Roger, sitchats. Anywhere from three to six. All right, trying to get control of the ball here. His Martian attack is lit. Let's see if he tries to bring that in. It did something. He hasn't hit anything in a while. Yeah, but you know, it's... Oh, God. Oh, so close. Oh, and he tilted. Attack from Beef, and he drains out the right outline. Mitch is going to wait this one out. Now, I thought we were going to maybe in between balls do some seminar talk, but these balls have not been as lengthy as I was expecting. Let's see if Mitch can get something going here. Pretty even game so far, but it's really going to come down to... Uh-oh. Nice little block there. The first person to do that in this game. And attacks. Gets his second consecutive. What do you think of strategy now? He just gets multi-balled on with his saucer open, perhaps. Or just make any shots, really. He might be aiming for the post, Jake. Oh, right into the sling. I mean, with these scores, you just want to get whatever you can get. Well, they are playing for three American dollars. Very nice, it's two blocks. Looks like he's going straight for it. Is he going to try to maybe jump this over? Or is he going to take out another Immolation Shot? Oh, oh. All right. He begins to drive the kick out. Oh! Awarded the multiball. Beautiful. All right, the table's set. Let's see if he can start the picnic. Boom, jackpot. He's got to get all jackpots and light the roving super jackpot. Are those post jackpots? Thank God they're still ball safe. Wow. Boom. Jackpot. Boom. Jackpot. All right, he's got what, three left now? Two. He's got to shoot his right ramp and his left orbit. Uh-oh. Uh-oh. Takes a couple dangers but survives. two more. I've got to play with his tips of his fingers right now. Oh, great ball control there. Oh, nice drop catch, but fails on the follow-up. Yeah, no shit! This really is the way it should always be. They should be able to hear the commentators. There it is. One more. If you can hit the right ramp, it's the toughest shot in the entire cycle, most would say. Oh! His super is lit on the left orbit. It's going to move. Oh! Oh! Oh! Super jackpot. It's going to bring some more in. All right. Oh, Bo and Karen writhing. As you can see, it's $3 slipping away. And he is out of multiball. Is he going to go onto the road? No. But anytime you can complete it and get a super jackpot, you've got to be happy with your multiball J-Den. Well, he's sitting pretty at a billion points. And he takes out the saucer. Nice. So he's pressed it to what? Billion five mark at this point? He's got a pretty healthy lead right now. What about a bill? We've seen billion point leads evaporate pretty quickly on attack from ours before. Going back to multiball. I think the fiery New Robert Englunds strategy has started to become clear here. He's going all multiball all the time. Okay, ramp. multiball. Oh, he's got that hurry up there. Is he really going to chase that? And he pays the price. You know, Jade, you see that sometimes. Players get distracted by the shiny object, and it throws them off of their strategy. It seems to me like he would have done well to just keep shooting lock shots there. That's what I thought he was going to do, but he wanted to go for the cheap shot there. He's playing it well now, so who are we to question his... All right, it's ball three. Bo and Karen's better get up to something here, or it's going to be a walk-off win for the Massachusetts baller, Mitch Curtis. He's a couple shots away from Total Nuclear Annihilation. You know, these remakes are infamous for the shots are a little off, the flippers are a little different. Maybe he's going off the better end a little. Oh, is he going to go for a billion-point shot here? Is he going for it? Is he going to get distracted by this Martian No I think he going for it There it is There the party has begun He needs oh and he takes it in but he gets a nice 300 million high up And he's, he's only two shots away now from his Total Nuclear Annihilation. Two shots in that right ramp. Two shots, Bonecat. And he's skewing, playing an opposite way from Mitch. She's skewing the multiball and just going for his hurry-ups and his, hopefully, Total Nuclear Annihilation. Oh, he's going for Martian. I didn't see this coming. Oh, he brings it in with a last-minute shot off the tray. And the Martian multiball. And he can bring in his Total Nuclear Annihilation to this Martian multiball with two more shots. He used his Martian bomb right at the very end there. Oh, I did not see the Martian bomb. He had the Martian bomb in the reward. Very smart play. using what's available using what the game gives him and now it's Mitch Curtis' turn to sway just go into that right ramp and start to annihilate oh god yeah Total Nuclear Annihilation every shot lit for big big points is he still in Martian range yet he's still getting Martian shots too and he's taking the lead A once secure lead has evaporated. Like the confidence of Mitch Curtis. Four balls in play. Every shot is lit. This is Tom's life. I'm glad I'm here to witness this. Wow, look at that. And he gets the, hitting that lock shot to the long shot, that'll give him a cumulative super jackpot. Oh, rough saucer hit. One for the road. And, wow, he's, what's he at about now, 2-5? Oh, wow, he's almost at 3 billion now, so. All right, 3 billion points now for Bo and Karen. Still alive, he's getting some ramp combos. And again, completely eschewing the multiball, just going right back to his Total Nuclear Annihilation. Competitive pinball is not about fun ball counts. Oh, wow, he survived that. All right, now he's going for his multiball. There we go. Trying to put on a little show for the people. Get the troops ready. The troops are ready. You know, I have a feeling when Paul Revere made his famous ride, this is what he's thinking about. A future of freedom pinball. That's 3-8 excitement. Oh, boy. Just one shot for Melty Ball. Can he do it? I was going back to total an hour. It seems like he's finally gotten his shot dialed in after a fairly beefy ball one. But that's why pinball is 3 balls. Trying to get control. There we go. another Total Nuclear Annihilation if you're dialed in he is right now he just seems to be taking what it's giving him at this point oh there we go multiball it's a multiball more jackpot kicking off jackpots like an old lady at a flea market. Look at this. Amazing. He's got only three left in a super jackpot. He's got a ball there, so nice. Another one. His two orbit shots now. The only ones left to light a super. Oh, jackpot. All right, down to two ball play. Oh, he's trying to keep the line. Jackpot. Oh, he's so close. Now he's got the roving super jackpot. All right, it's lit for what? 250 mil, right? Is he going to wait for it to come around to one of these orbits? No, he's just, the treasure box is open, and he's going in. He's trying to keep his multiball alive. Well, that super jackpot's not going anywhere. Very nice drop catch. Oh, there it is! Super jackpot! 250 million! He's got to be well over five billion in bonus now. A tilt would be costly at this point. I don't think he has any danger. Oh, there's one for the road, and he relights the lock, which is very nice at the end of your multiball. That was nice. One, two, he's locked the ball. Lock it. And every available man. I'll just be... No progress Towards TNA Perhaps the $3 pot has brought the level of play For this match higher Watch out man, they've got a big old beam Alright, oh that's dangerous Oh, that's out But a good ball for Bowen Kerins, let's hear it That's why we're all here Alright, Mitch Curtis Mitch Curtis comes down to a drastically altered landscape Looking down the barrel Of a 4 billion point deficit Can he catch up? Can he show us what he's made of? He's going to show us that he's New Robert Englunds, Boston strong. And, well, he gets his thingy open. What is that called? A skill shot. Going back in for another multiball. All right, all right. multiball is way to victory. Eschewing the Total Nuclear Annihilation stride. All in on the multiball stride. Oh, boy. I think he was trying to tip over, but he couldn't succeed. Oh, that saucer shot makes me real nervous. We must build an atomic blaster! Yeah, every time you go up there, you always wonder where it's going back. Oh boy. Uh-oh. You got a good award here? Oh, it's the most exciting thing in pinball! It's in video mode! Alright, this is your basic sweep side to side. It's not too tough. And then you have your bomb. There's a bomb hitting the start button at this point. It will extinguish all these all these advancing spaceships. Wow. Oh, you had to use it kind of early. You know what? This is actually more exciting than I thought it would be. Oh, he takes the spaceship right to the face. $75 million out of a possible $650. He can't be too happy about that video mode. He's still got a wall to climb right now. Uh-oh, this is trouble. You think he'd go back to that multi? Oh, there it is. Oh, there it is. All right, there we go. And his next Super Jack, if he gets it lit, will be $500 million, not $250 million. Chopping his way to victory. I see Bowen Carrick nervously chugging water in the background. Okay. That's one. Or, you know, just hit some posts. That's cool, too. Uh oh, he's down to two miles already. That's not good. Oh no, flounder a little bit there. Can he regain control? Oh, that was very nice on the fly, the jackpot. The tough one. Another one. Was that two left or one? Two left. He's got both ramps. Boom, nails him. Boom. Oh, reject. Reject. There it is. Oh, it doesn't make it. Kisses the orbit. Oh, no. All right, but he's still got time now to get this super jack. It's worth 500 million points. And he needs it bad if he wants that $3. Oh, no. Can he do it? Oh, he got it. There it is with the class period, 500 million. Very nice. He's not giving up with a fight. He's not folding like a cheap suit. And he's going back to the multibuyer. Will he get distracted again by the saucer, which caused his premature beef last time? Maybe he's learned his lesson. Oh, no, he has not. And he goes back to the spaceship. Oh, I think he wants his Martian. Oh, this is trouble. Oh, okay, all right. They'll take the bailout shot in the orbit. I think that was smart. And he's getting closer to his annihilation now, right, Jay? Oh, it's a good dig there. Very nice backhand flail to like to launch. Oh! All right, let's hear it. That was a great game. Bowen Kerins, come on down here. I want to award you the $3 and the title of first inaugural Thursday night seminar pinball fantastic champion. Good job. Let's hear it for both Mitch. Second place. Oh, hold on. It's coming up. Second place will win you a dollar. Thank you very much. Let's hear it for Mitch and Bowen. Thank you very much. That was pretty awesome I don't think I've ever seen a display of competitive pinball so truly outrageous and awesome Alright, now we've entered the brief seminar portion of our presentation We're going to discuss some do's and don'ts of pinball streaming First thing I want to do is just a disclaimer This is just kind of the way I like to do it There's a lot of great people doing this who all have their own style. And anybody who's willing to contribute to a pinball stream in any capacity is really doing God or whoever deity you worship in pinball's work to help further competitive pinball and streaming, and I appreciate it. That being said, I think the most important thing, and something you see overlooked a lot in these streams, is a focus on the action. When people are watching this at home, they want you to watch what's going on in the game. They want you to pay attention. They want you to talk about it. They don't necessarily want to hear about what you had for lunch. If you have that game at home and how nice it is, what are some of the other ones? How they did the last time they played that game? How they did the last time they played it. How they got screwed the last time they played it You won believe it I was playing this in Pentastic seven years ago and the ball just leaped over the flipper bounced over the post and then landed in the hole, and then it came right out in between the flippers. Like, nobody cares about that stuff. Focus on the action at hand. That being said, there is always downtime in these games if you kind of want to beef around a little bit. And if you're doing this for hours, I kind of like to do it only for a few hours at a time. You start to get a little punchy. but you will find the urge to kind of stray a bit, I think. And, you know, in between balls, in between games is maybe the time to address, to let a little steam off, kind of do that kind of thing. But when the match is going on, you really should try to focus on it. You shouldn't get into any kind of story or anecdote that you're not going to be able to get out of within 15 or 20 seconds. And really just the most important thing is if something, and rules discussions is the same thing. People want to know the rules, but this is not a Bowen Caron style tutorial. It's a pinball stream. So I don't know if you saw what Jade and I were trying to do. Rules are good to talk about, but I think you really want to just kind of look at what's available to the player right now, maybe not what's going to be available six or seven achievements from now. You want to talk about what they're doing, maybe not what you would be doing. and you want to just kind of keep the viewer engaged by letting them know what's happening in the game now, what kind of opportunity scoring-wise or feature-wise is maybe on the horizon. And if they're not doing something you think they should, you can say it, but you don't want to, again, dwell on, you know, if I were playing, I'd be doing this. You might just say, you know, why is he not shooting that? Is there something else going on? Another thing is try to give your booth mates some space. Try to maybe bring them in. Sometimes you get a lot of newcomers in. Feel free to ask them their opinion on what they think of a particular shot or something like that. Let's see what else I got for you. One more thing I think is important is situational awareness, knowing what's going on in the game. What are the scores? What does Mitch need right now? That was very exciting. Mitch was maybe one multiball away from really making a game out of that. It's good to let him know how far behind he is. If there's something he could do in a few shots, maybe to get him right back into the game, I think that's worth talking about. Again, it's all about keeping the viewer engaged, keeping everybody updated on the stakes, and just kind of making it about the actual game and the show. I already discussed rule sets. Oh, one last thing is the chat. I know we all love the chat. I think you should avoid becoming over-engaged in the chat during a match. You don't need to read every comment. You don't need to respond to every comment during an actual ball. Again, focus on the game is the name of the game here. Well, the name of the game is pinball. the name of the streaming game is focusing on the game. The chat is cool to engage in or dip in, but keep in mind that a lot of the stuff in the chat will take care of itself. If somebody in the chat five minutes ago said, you know, what is the format of this tournament, somebody else in the chat probably already answered them by the time you read it. I've been at Bruce before where somebody will maybe explain the intricacies of a double elimination bracket every four or five minutes. that doesn't really need to be done. It'll happen on its own in the chat. But it is cool to answer stuff. Again, between balls, between games, that's the time for that stuff. All right, we're going to bring down two more players. Who here wants to play pinball? Anna Wolk, you want to play Attack from Arms? No, she doesn't. This guy. All right, this guy. Who's that? These two? All right, we got Mark. Mark from Parts Unknown? Mark from Parts Unknown? Mark from Jersey Jack. Pinball. Oh, all right. Mark from Jersey. We got a pinball celebrity in the house. Yet another one. No, I'll bring someone in. All right. So we got Mark, and then who's the other fellow? McSquid. McSquid. McSquid. All right. Oh, the Sonic Maker. This guy made his own pinball machine. That's cool. All right. We're going to have Marco first, and we're going to check my wallet and see if I have any money left. you guys are going to be playing for five American dollars. Legal tender and Bowen leaves the room. Now Anna wants to play but it's too late because she was too shy. And now five dollars. All right. And now who wants to call a game? Anybody want to come in the booth here? Anybody? Nobody? Nobody wants to join us in the booth. The tender? All right. Uchendu's coming in. I'm just going to hang back and let Jade and Uchendu handle this. Here, you can use that mic there. We've got Uchendu from New York City. We have an all-New York City booth again. And I'll let you guys pick it up here. It's ball one. And Mark from Jersey Jack pinball has just lost his ball. Hey, Uchendu. Yeah, you've got to put a blazer on. Oh. Now it's official. Now you're a commentator. Now it's official. All right, very good. Oh. All right, ball saved. Great. Let's see what he's going to go for, though. Okay. Ball control, great. Yeah. And that's a missed long shot. Oh. I had to go for a lock shot. Missed it. There goes the lock shot. I got all three locks ready to go. All right, pick up some Orbits. Make your way towards... He's going for a Total Nuclear Annihilation as well. Bouncing around in the pops up there. Nice. Right now it seems to be whatever shots he can... Yeah, it does. It doesn't seem to be the right reason. Keeping the ball in play. Always a great strategy. Indeed. Great little tip over to save the ball there. Let's look at that. And he's going for the saucer, I guess, trying to get that 200 million. Let's see if he survives the saucer. Oh, missed lock shot there. Okay, got a rev shot. He's got some good progress to Total Nuclear Annihilation right now. That was a good little nudge to get it out of the out lane. Oh yeah, as he's saying, you cannot... But there we go, ball one, locked. And every available man. Alright, let's see what he goes for here. If he goes for the tosser, he gets 200 million. What a better way to start this game. I feel like that's always a good way to start. Player one only had 100,000 points, so it's looking pretty good for him right now. Bouncing around a little bit on the flipper. Going back to the saucer. Really? I'm just surprised that people are really shooting for the saucer right now. They seem like he has it dialed in. Yeah, it's the... Where he's going back to the saucer. I guess I'm a little more skeptical than you are. I'm just back, I'm only on boom control. Sure, yeah. We need the levee boom. We need that. I mean, that's cool. Alright, he's slinging out. He survived. Survives there. And once again, failing to hit his long shot. He's making another shot. He's making progress. All right. Okay, there's a second lock. He's missing off right there. He got his ball too long. You need to say that he's missing more off so he can get that shot. Talking to them. So one more for multiball. There you go. There's the multiball. Nice. Mini-boom. Boom. Boom. So this is still ball one, right? Yeah. Sorry, guys. I was off. Yeah, this is still ball one. So you're looking to get the five jackpots, the flashing red. And then you have the Roving Super Jackpot to get. Looks like he's going through the saucer, too. I guess he just wants to get that out of the way in his multiball. He's just smart while he's got ball save on and multiple balls. There's the jackpot. Is he focusing too much on that? Oh, no. Oh, no. Yeah, see? He doesn't blow up the saucer. Did he? He did not blow up the saucer. And he only got one jackpot in the multiball, so not a very good one. All right, well, let's see if Mark from Jersey Jack Pinball can claw his way back into this one after a fairly poor ball one. Goes for the easy skill shot. Still good for bonus X, though. That's not a great kick out. Oh, it comes back off a lock shot. That's so disappointing when you get halfway up there. Going for the saucer as well. It is a copycat lead. Oh, he gets his locks lit. That's nice. Oh, no! All right, not a great second ball, but he does have his locks lit, which is going to give him something to work with. And don't forget, Brian had a pretty poor multiball, so if he can get his multiball going on ball three, he's going to have something to work with, I think, to try to call his way back. Super skill shot, okay. Oh, nice backhand on the fly. He's got his Martian attack lit. That's a two-ball multiball there. If he gets all the Martians. Correct, yes. It's a potential two-ball multiball. That should be 400 million. Padding is weak. Oh, 300 million. And he's over a billion five. Oh, no. Oh, it's a two-way bonus. He's not going to quite make a billion five. But Mark has some work cut out for him here. Can he get the multiball started? Can he blow up his saucer? Can he claw his way back into a game where he's trailing by 1.3 billion points? I think he just needs to get some shots first. Let's just focus on getting some shots together. I agree. I mean, he's got that multiball. I would just focus on getting that multiball. That would be the lowest hanging fruit here. Yeah, I mean, do not waste time on the saucer. Oof. That's almost ended in a crash. That saucer shield is still up, so it's super dangerous. I wouldn't go for that. But there the first lock OK Two more locks in his multiball He tries to hop this over He does He does I don't think he meant to do that, but he did get the saucer open. Get the saucer open, that's... Okay. That's a good thing to have if he gets his multiball going. Indeed. Oh, I don't know about this. I don't know. He's going for that saucer way too much. It seems like it would behoove him to get his multiball going rather than... I believe so. I think that's the easy play right now. As long as he can make that shot. He got himself into trouble and then bailed himself out. That was a nice series of slipper movements there. Alright, hoping to survive the slings here. Trying to get control, okay. Let's see what he goes for. Back to the saucer! Alright, well he's playing it, why not? Oh! Oh, nice sample! Takes a double danger, but saves it. Back into the saucer! Well now the saucer is... has no energy left so we can just... There we go. Great. 200,000! 200,000. 300 mil, I believe. 2,000 now! Only... it's the first one. Or 200 mil. Alright, alright. Going back to the saucer. Unrepentantly attacking the shield! I just can't get behind the strategy, I don't... Back to the saucer, opens it up. Oh boy. He's getting results, so maybe I can't really argue with this. I don't know if that was the result he was looking for. Or, you know. I would really go for the lock shot right now, trying to get that multiball. Yeah, I mean, he's two shots away from multiball. Well, I have seen people wail endlessly on that spaceship and win. It does happen. And I think we're going to find out if it's going to work. He's about halfway now to Brian's score Alright there's one more Locked shot And Brian still has to play 825 million right now Which is Survives another saucer shot And in lane Oh Oh The saucer giving up Every saucer All right, congratulations to Brian. He's going to rub it in here a little bit with a left bomb. Thank you, Uchendu. Hey, let's hear it for Uchendu coming into the booth. Nice work. You've won five American dollars. Buy yourself some flipper rubbers to your home brew. All right. Do we have two more players and maybe someone else who wants to comment? Nobody? All right, then I'm going to play. Those two? All right, let's see it. Let's hear it for Anna Wolk and Lynn. How much money are you paying? Come on down here, and then we'll figure that out. Hey, does anybody want to join us in the booth for one last game? All right, Brian. Brian going from boom to booth after winning his $5. All right, let's see what we got. You ladies are playing for $10. American dollars. Can you believe it, ladies and gentlemen? $10. $10. The stakes are higher than they have been all night. And private. Again with a super skill shot. All right. Oh, and I don't think she capitalized on that. We will build an atomic blaster. Alright, a good flip away to that ramp See if you can get control of the ball Oh no! Oh, bad luck That was a big outing dream right there Alright It's always a shame when that happens right after your ball saver wears off Another super skill shot Going for the super skill shot Unfortunately, she's not able to get it That's alright, we've got a lock slit Oh! Alright, so this is a two-ball game right now. Yes, it is. There is a significant lead over here on the player one. We have a hundred million. Anna Wolf is commanding 90 million per lead right now. I'm just going to go out on a limb here and say I'm really anti-saucer. I can't. Well, we saw that last game. Oh, boy. However, you need to remember that when the game is being this mean to our players, that 90 million can be the difference between winning and losing. And right now, that 90 million is looking pretty good. Also, it's attack from Mars. Don't be hating on the saucer. All right, we got control of the ball. Where are we going to go from here? She's going into the swing. There we go. I mean, really, any shots at this point would be helpful given the score. Oh! And I jinxed it. All right, this is a one-ball game, ladies and gentlemen. But that one ball is still worth $10 American dollars. So it is more important than any other ball we have had here this evening, ladies and gentlemen. Oh, there we go. Right back into that scoop. Point a little tennis line in the locks. Can we capitalize on that lock? If anyone is able to fill those three locks today, I think that's going to be game over. Oh, it goes for the backhand. That is a bold decision. But with the locks lit, it is possible. Trying to get control. Oh, a nice tap into that lock there. Very nice. All right, now let's try to see if he can tip it over. Get a second lock shot right there. Oh, that's unfortunate. The tip over is not that friendly. It goes over there, but doesn't really go to the sweet spot. Oh! Was that ball three? That was ball three. Oh, my goodness. All right, over the commanding 200 million point lead. Sometimes this happens. Those locks were adding up at 20 million a pop, I believe. Go for the super skill shot. Oh All right, so we're just gonna need control of this ball does anybody want to win this game We're gonna find out Saucers looking like some suicide right about now, but There we go Yeah, there we go. Now. We're just two shots away from multiball and therefore most likely the game Yeah, multiball would definitely be a guaranteed victory, I would say. She can get that tip over. Oh, that's unfortunate. Sorry, I just got to get control of that ball. There we go, a beautiful right cradle. Oh! A little late there. Having just played this game, that lock shot is very difficult to find on your first try. Nice little dead bounce. I love that. Is she going to go for the backhand? No, she's not going to go. Nice little ramp pass there. All right, ramping out. I mean, again, with a point this low, any kind of ramps or any shots would come up. Actually, a left ramp would be incredibly good right here because that would light her hurry up at the saucer and would win the game. Oh, the backhand. Sweet. Beautiful backhand there. So now we have two shots on the left that could result in instant victory. Let's see if we hit any of them. No, unfortunately. Can we get control of the ball? You don't want. All right. A little tip over. Any shots. Oh, no, not the saucer. We really want that left ramp or that lock shot. That capture is still worth 20 million points. She's closing in. Oh, and Anna can see that fiver slipping away. Oh, tenner! Ten dollars! And we have a winner! She chopped wood all the way. And there it is in the left. Oh, fuck! A commanding victory. All right, she's going to take some victory laps. Run! Well-earned victory laps. That was a hard-earned multiball on a game that is being very hard to our players today. Lindsay's doing her celebration of a $10 win right now I'd be thinking about what I'm going to buy with that $10 She's already been to the dispensary What's left? It sounds like snacks are in order Alright, she's got a Wow, that's kind of a ball to ball But, you know, really just piling it on now Second single ball play and the saucer strikes again. Maybe you were right about the saucer. Look at the sportsmanship on display as they shake hands. What a fantastic game by our players, ladies and gentlemen. Let's give it up for them. Congratulations, $600 million coming from around, what, $60 million? $10 American dollars. $10. Go buy yourself some munchies. Enjoy that. I won $10 today. You know what? We're all winners. We're all winners tonight. All right, thank you very much, ladies and gentlemen. Thank you, Brian. Let's hear it for Brian and the booth. My name is Ryan. Ryan's first time. Awkward.
