Clip Tronics Are we actually doing something today? Oh my god. I can't even see my thing. What's up? Oh no, great. That means I'm never going to get on the machine. Hey everybody, let's see. Oh yes, I have levels. Somehow we have a stream. I have no idea. This is gone, so there goes that. Did that run out? No, nope, nope. It's turned off. it's because it's it's because it's welcome we're here once again this is great we're at the Pacific Pinball Museum uh oh things are broken not really it's okay whatever this is streaming right Jordan you know that um no alert or redeem stuff oh yeah I'll get that going let's see but uh like I said once again we're at the Pacific Pinball Museum this is awesome we have mutterfudders here let me see if I can get those So there's a good chance I don't know how to play this game. Oh. Right. He picked it. Oh, maybe I can play against you. But I got $6 billion the last game. Was that you? Yeah. Yeah, that was him. I don't know how I did it, but I got $6 billion. Oh, my. Wait, $6 billion. Now he? Was it you? Is that the highest score? No. Because the other ones are $6 billion. $6.3, $6.2. Yeah, but that, you can even take a long time. I had a weird multi, but I know. Did you see that content? I don't think so. It's great content. Yeah. David is here. Hello. That's the camera. All right. We got everybody here. Once again, I want to thank the Pacific Pinball Museum for letting me come out on the days where they are fixing machines and clothes and wonderful. Let me run around and be a big nuisance to them. We're going to keep this going. Brian, beers with your nails, whatever. Grumpy EM doctor. Whatever. I don't have a custom sound yet, so that's not even worth chatting. Oh, yeah, true. Just tell me what you want. I know. I have to get it to you. It's got to be something Disney, obviously. No. No? No, but I'm not going to give it away. It'll just happen someday. You don't have to pay anything. It's all free for you. Okay. I will do the work. Don't tell them that. I will tell them that. This is, you guys let me. If you volunteer at a museum and you can bring him in, then you can get a sound for free too. That's what I was about to say. Okay. Very well said. It's just the words wouldn't come out of my mouth for some reason. This is a game that Brian is going to tell us a little bit about. Brian O'Neill is going to tell us about Frank Thomas' hurting... I hurt... I'm hurt. Frank Thomas is hurt today. So Frank Thomas' nickname is Big Hurt. Why? because he just destroys the ball. He's a home run hitter. Okay. Basketball. Baseball. I'm just kidding. Look, I know, I know. Look, look, I know. It would be, it would be, I don't tend to associate pinballers with watching lots of sports. I really, yeah. Am I, am I, I think of who you know. Or the chat can tell us. Wow, Captain 12, thank you for the sub. 18 months. Mother Futter's really into sports. Okay. He's into sports ball? Yeah, he's into hockey. He's into sports ball. I was going to say sports ball earlier. Sports ball. Hockey? Yeah, he's a big hockey Bruins fan. There's no ball in hockey. And his Jordan's here. Sports ball! Wait, hockey's not, there's no ball? I thought hockey was like canceled or something. Ooh. Wasn't it? Like hockey was like, wasn't it a time that it was like, no? Maybe that's me. You know, this is a very special time of year because I don't watch a lot of sports. Curling. I'm all over the curling. It's the only thing I'm recording in the Olympics. Is that the thing where they eat? Harder. Harder, harder, harder. That's what they call it. They call it harder, harder. And then I learned this year, when they're sweeping, they're actually warming the ice, and that's making it slide more. I mean, I understood it was making the stone move more, but it's warming the ice is what the brush does. They get good at it, too. Is that what this does? Yeah. They're warming it. Can we not have three men doing it? Three men in the Bay Area? That's the start of a joke. Oh, wait. We have the hockey answer for you. Hockey was on a hiatus for a while due to them supposed to be playing at the Olympics. Oh. But I thought they got a lot of college folks for that. Some love for curling. You know, I'm like, where's my money? I'm missing my clothes. Speaking of hockey. So here's the problem with being a middle-aged guy on a stream. Oh, boy. The chat's up here, and to read it, I've got to do this. I've got to tip my – it's like that part of my glasses won't let me see the chat. I can't read the chat. I have to show everybody the inside of my nostrils. It's not attractive. Let's take a picture of you guys. Uh-oh. Is there the Polaroid? Yeah, we don't get to hear that. We need to be able to hear that. I was watching Mary, and Mary's like dancing to the hamster. Mary had the music in her head all the time. She was so the squirrel. Squirrel. Whoever can redeem the squirrel, you're not going to see me do what Mary did. It's not going to happen. I don't care. All right. Let's play a game. I don't think this is what people tuned in for. So, yeah, Big Hurt, baseball, Frank Thomas. I think he's in the Hall of Fame. And he played for the White Sox most of his career. And he had a brewery for a while, and that's how I met him. I met him at a beer festival. You met him? Yeah. I met him at the Great American Beer Festival. He was – I think beer and baseball don't seem to intermingle. You'd think, like, good beer, like craft beer. I was going to say, I was going to say, there's a lot of intermingling of beer and baseball. Because the people that do, like, Dogfish Head and Sam Adams and Russian River, there was, like, lines waiting for them, like the brewmaster. Okay. But then Frank Thomas was just at his booth, and he was just sitting there. I look over, and I'm like – and I said Big Hurt Beer. I'm like, is that Frank Thomas? He's just standing there. I'm like, he looks really lonely. I think I'm just going to go talk to him. So he just went up to him. He's like, how's it going, man? And so we had a good conversation. He does nothing until he makes his name in beer in that crowd. That's really funny. I like it. Got a picture with him. Yeah, nice guy. And now he hawks man-performing boosting things on TV. Man-performing? Beer? Man-performing beer? No, not beer. but those commercials that are like, oh, I took this, and now I'm more stronger and better of a man and all that. It's not on TV. Okay. It's not particular to any part of the body. It's not blue pills or anything. Don't they always say man-boosting performance? I don't know. Is it also woman-boosting? Testogenetics. Oh, okay. So it is man-boosting. Man-performing boosting. Achievement unlocked. Manu is busy over here Manu is doing what didn't work an hour ago yeah this stuff doesn't just happen well Brian should he play? I don't want Brian to play I invited Brian in and I don't want him to play we could just time out his ball no we won't I know that sounds kind of weird, but teach me how to play this, okay? Let's do it. Let's do it. Okay? Yeah, you fire it up. Teach me how to play it. I guess I'll play it. I don't know what the word requires. I could be like the baseline. What's up, Lee? I'll be one step up and just let the ball drain. So the skill shot will feed this upper flipper, and then you want to hit that drop target right there. Oh, nice. Is it trying to change? No, it's always that one. And then hitting up the ramp is, you know, you can get a home run if you get it up the middle. But you gotta get past the catcher. You gotta get past the catcher. I love that! And then begin round is like modes and stuff. Modes are hit, begin round is modes are hit. That's alright, it's fine. So hold that up, and then try, you know. Oooh. You can try. I know, they just like, they're already set a little low, and they go so far. So I'm gonna try to begin a round and see what that does. Oh Anything just not multiball then I'm hoping they can get the sounds A lot of balls coming into play. I don't know where they're going You gotta plunge yourself no, there's an auto plunder just have to choose Looks like I want to do the orbits Brian gets 15th bazillion and he never dies. That's okay. Look at that trap. Man, those pot leaves. Just ridiculous. Uh-oh. Oh, he shot the other ball. What? No, he was not doing that on purpose. I didn't do that on purpose. I'm saving that. He was not doing that on purpose. I'm saving that. All right. So I got a grand slam or something. Boom. Billion. This guy might have put up a show off. Hello there. Did that just go to my computer? I think the scoring is a little absurd in this game. I'm already up to five billion somewhere. I don't know what happened. Is it a prank Thomas thing or is it maybe a mechanical thing? Show off. Night game. Night game. Oh! Ah! Ah! Why would you have to lay him? He doesn't even need that. This is a little terrain. It's just a piece of... I got it. I got it. I'll be it. Another multiball. Another multiball. Nice catch. Oh, that's crazy. It's like an actual catch. Right, but you don't want... I don't think you ever wanted to do that. You wanted to... It's amazing when it catches it. Yeah. Although they need to trade that catch a little better. He's just doing that. How do you do that? I actually do it too. I want to stick to my... This is what that is. It can hurt. Wow. So Brian is on his way to beating the high score on ball one. Yeah, I'm trying. He's trying. Here you go. That target is harder than I thought it was. Wow, that is pretty cool though. There's some cool stuff on this. Cool stuff. We have a problem here. I think they have the wrong motor or attachment. It should go all the way to the side. Oh, I see. Stop this. But you know, the music's pretty good on this. And actually the slingshots aren't always firing. It's like, you stand there long enough and you see everything wrong with your game. The story sure is, is sure mysterious. Nice catch! Oh, oh there's a post? Yeah. Oh, we're gonna be using that? I know. You're not looking at the train or that one with the trains. I thought it was a good one after. I should have gone too. We'll go when Brian's up next. We'll take turns. Spell Big Herd for big points. I love the stadium lights back there. Those are cool. So what do I do now? So you have 12. Player's choice. to see the view from there. That's only on the other side. I don't typically tie a . Yeah, it's OK. It's all the way in the corner at the bottom. I don't know if you guys have . We're leaving the critical mass . This is a new day for me. Oh, are you guys here? We're . This is a day I'll be constrained, Hopefully I'll be good on him. Right. Nice. Oh! Boom. I love it. I love this guy. Begin round. We miss him on the honors. Shoot. Shoot the center end. Oh. I should have practiced that one. Did Brian have like one cat food dog before we started? Yeah. Man, those flippers are good, but you can't post. It's really hard to post on these guys. You can shat them. Shat them? No problem. Post them. Oh, you can hit the... Yeah, that center thing, yeah. Oh. I love that cat. It is. This music is amazing. I'm really confused. Did you get 5 billion mystery award or something? Nothing seems to be awarding that many points. I remember it saying billion at some point. I think it's like the super duper jackpot. I think it's double scoring? Light double. Man 2, collect jackpot. Collect jackpot. What was the jackpot? 20 million. Kind of lame. Yeah. There's no billion. I want my 5 billion shot. I want my 5 billion shot That was a single And you collect bullpen cards too Yeah you get baseball cards You can see where Where on base they are First and third Oh first second I see You guys see that On the lower play field There's the first Man on first and third That's cool I remember watching Indus when they were playing Stargate. Once again, a high-flipper Gottlieb game. Alright. Strobing shot. Strobing shot. Single. What is a strobing shot? Alright. Oh, are you... You were robbed. That was awful. Well, okay. Maybe stand next to me and tell me what to shoot if I can. Well you know the skill shot. You're gonna begin the round. Okay. Full punch? Yeah. Full punch. Oh my god, someone else is playing Bimble? Damn it, ooh that was close wasn't it? And then begin round over there. Begin round, that's not a safe shot. Caught the ball. Home run derbies just go center. I think it's a multiball too. I'm going to use the overhead camera to catch that mitt. I know. It's looking good. Oh yeah, when the ball gets in there I'm changing top. The auto-plunger is not powerful enough. Oh really? Yeah. So that kept me in play for a little while. Alright, what do I do? You can go for a grand slam. You can go for a grand slam. Oop. That's a fun shot right there. Uh-oh. Uh-oh. Uh-oh. This is a good moment to pause and just let the camera see one of our clear pinball machines. Yeah. Yeah. Which we'll be, which one of them will stream on another time. We're going to stream this when we get 12 cameras. But we did, but yeah, that's right. We want the side cameras showing things going on the sides. But I thought, it's right behind us. We better call attention to it. How are the audio levels? Is the music too high? Oh, yeah. What? That's fine. I fought against the worst of them. Their microphone is really good, but like, I'll be real strong. Yeah. It keeps posting really close. Oh. I had no chance. I'm not going to take this. Wait a second. Is that post loose? Have you noticed when you hit it? That one? Yeah. Let me know if it's wiggling. I thought I saw it. Wow, he's in order of magnitude higher. All I can do when I'm playing pinball is look for broken stuff. I know. Oh, it does change. Oh, it did change. It is a good point. It's still hard. I hope it's worth like a billion. Grand slam. When the ramp is up, I just want to hit that thing. We should get some chairs. Scoop or drop chair? Are you serious? I think you did that just for us. You did that on purpose. Yeah. Alright, here we go. What are you up to? Oh, you're about to ice-hole it. What was the highest score yet? That's not a lot. I think once you get your billion it's like 6 or something. Oh, that's a good one. Everyone's highest score seems to be 6. Advance inning. What is the highest score? Yeah, you're right. You're all 6. Yeah. Let's see. Begin round is ready. ready. Alright I going to go for a whole run Okay always shoot multiple You need to punch your uh Oh Center Center. Boy, center is tough! Oh, look at that, look at that, the ball's stuck! Yeah. Look at that, look at that! I got a chance to catch it with my friend! If I can hit that shot... You have another ball under the punch line? Nah. Ah, why is that center so far? Where is that stop, Ryan? These flippers are early. Not that early. All right, let's see. I can do this angle here. Almost. I just want to find it once. There it is. I'm on it. I'm on it. I got it locked in. I'm in the pipe. Five by five. Let's do some other things. Let's go around. Home run derby. Oh no, you suck twice. Oh hi fiends. Nice of you to dress up. You're welcome. You seem to be doing a lot better than us. Oh, I thought it was going to bounce. Yeah, it sounds great. Okay. Don't say anything on stream. I really wouldn't stay in a public elevator. I might bring up the... I might bring up the exposure level of the camera. This thing sucks up light. It's pretty cool. It did look dark. Yeah. Shoot the glove. Okay. Shoot the glove? Yeah, you want to shoot the glove. You know what I think it is? I bet you I bet you replay is 5 billion. Oh. What's that? I bet you replay is 5 billion. Yeah. Which is why I have 6. Because I saw it say a billion and then I heard it not. And then I like when I was playing So replay at 98 million. Let's see if you get like 5 billion when you get to 98 million. What's up Remy? Oh you're saying it's awarding 5 billion instead of replaying. Yeah. Evan? Oh yeah, Evan. You're welcome. We had a little bit of issues starting but we're here. We're doing it. Hawkeyes! Hawkeyes is the man. This is your game buddy. This is one of Hawkeyes favorite games. This one is for you Hawkeyes. And Hawkeyes, I brought a guy who can actually play it. It's all for you. I think I brought him. Well, I brought a guy. David brought a guy. Yeah, you did. I know the guy that knows the guy. I know the man that knows the man. If I brought him and you weren't here, no one would care. Yeah. A tree falls in the woods. It takes a team. It takes a village. There's no I in team. There's an M in me. There is a me. David brought a guy. David brought a guy. Send Brian to hell home. He belongs to the northeast. I'm getting jealous now. No, no, no. Is it you? It's me. It's you? You sure? Does it even matter? No, it doesn't matter. Sorry. Oh, it's still him? Oh, game is over. Oh. It's over for me. Oh, it's over for you? Oh, you put your initials up? I guess so. You know what? Oh, wow. They looked at our score and they said, Yeah, it ain't gonna happen. I like that, actually. That's a great thing. Hey, Johnny! I'm gonna brighten this up a little bit. Johnny, thank you for the raid. So I want Lonnie to get over 100 million and see what happens. Here, I brightened it up a little bit. I think it's awarding, like, five. Thank you, Johnny. It's still... Oh. That's too bad. All right, let's begin round Yeah, it acts differently for us Oh, look at that, oh look at that five billion, so do we subtract five billion from the scores now? Yeah I don't I didn't see what he did What's up, who's that? Oh did I get the skill shot? Did it count that? That is loose. That post. That post is loose. It is loose? Okay. Oh yeah, it's real loose. So wait a minute. That means I didn't do that bad. No, I don't know what just happened. I don't know, how do I have to punch even a close 40? It doesn't make sense. Wow. Nice. Oh! So what, is that a captive ball? Is nobody's in there? Yeah, that's a captive ball. Okay. Well, I was only beaten by five billion and something to the next player. Player one, you've beaten the highest game to date. Cool. We're going to reset all these tonight. Alright, let's... Wow! Alright, I think I know what I'm doing. Let me try again. Alright. I'm afraid to let Brian play at all, but... I don't know, I'm not going to play. That's one. Is that two or one? Yeah. Leave me out of it. All right, I'll go first. David, you're not going to leave us, are you? I'll play an EM over here. Rose is one of these. I don't know. Can you pull the glass off? I'll tighten that post. Yeah. Is that a Tweed hat, Manu? No. Can you pull the glass off? Oh, is that a Tweed hat? You want to? You can if you want. I think it is. Is it going to fix the glass? It's dirty. I don't think it's doing it. Is it better? It's really flush. It's probably a strip. Like it's not, I don't think it'll just be a tight game. Yeah. Can we finish this one? Yeah, we'll do this game. Okay. I'm getting the hang of it. I'm going to kick your ass now, Brian. Look at that. Skill shot. Oh, I was, dude, I was sharking you. I was sharking you. You guys know how I play, right? I shark them first. Do that first. Okay. Why is that shot hard? Okay, Brian, tell me something. As a professional player, I can't post on this, but I want to go to this flipper. That was a bad idea. What would... I think Dalton would tell you to do a tap dance. I can't. I don't know. Let's try it. Shark. Is that an achievement? Shark? I can't post. Tough, right? Yeah. But you got there. Cap the ball. Let it go down. Wow. Shats, bro. Oh, I'm wondering if I was saying shats. Yeah, shats is a little dangerous. But yeah. Brian can shats. Manu, not really. And I'm not deprecating my skill set. I know my skill set. I know how to set a skill set. Maybe. I might try it later. I want to get another camera set up so that you guys can see that glove going on. Ooh, glove action. Skill set. I usually bet so loosely. Why aren't the flippers even? That would enrage me. Yeah, it's slow. Man up first. No shot to the out lane, bro. Brian's even plunging his own balls, guys. Damn, bro! So a billion. Damn! So there's the five. It said billion on the screen, and I awarded it a five. Yeah, there's the five. So guys, just so you know, this game is awarding four billion on replays. Five billion, I think. Well, it was one, two, five, right? I was at under... Oh, okay, got it. Pinballers, thank you for the rain. What's happening? We are at the Pacific Pinball Museum. It said the words billion, but then it awarded. Right. Thank you for the rain. Neil Shaxx will be turning over in his waterbed. Yeah, he's very much alive. So, you know, that was funny. Still in ball one. No, that's ball two, fortunately. Wow, you were, you got that middle shot locked in. Golden glove. Correct, golden glove. Man on first. I'll do the play-by-play. Oh, what a great catch by Shotsky. I thought you didn't know sports betting. I don't know enough to know, I don't know enough to have a conversation about it. Pop fly to short, and it's old. There we go. And on first and third, what a catch by Skrblinski. Sorry. It is ball one. It is ball one? It's your ball. It's his ball. Every guy on my baseball team is Jewish, by the way, with really weird names. Skrblinski. Walanski. That's just Polish. That's not Jewish. Walanski? Walanski is not Walanski? Walanski is Jewish. It's a Polish name. It's a Polish name. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Ramps up. And boom goes the dynamite. The center ramps up, right? Why is the center ramp up? Well, now it's gone. Oh, weird. Okay. You asked too many questions. I asked too many questions. Just play pinball. Bullpen. Ten awards. Brian, nice trim. You look ten years younger. He does. Doesn't he look handsome today? I mean, he always looks handsome, but especially handsome today. I tried the shacks. Look at this guy. He's dressed up. No, he looks dapper. He's got the same thing. So, David last night was at a bar. He was like, oh, I'm at this awesome bar. It's amazing. Oh, I probably shouldn't have invited you. I guess it's too late for that. Well, I did invite you. Well, I wasn't sure I was going. I wasn't sure I was going to. Yeah. Dang it. I haven't been there since the number. Oh, wow. Give me. The ramp will come down, maybe. Yeah, it'll come down. My night game is over. Come on, ramp. Come on, ramp. Come on, ramp. I think you shake it when it's over to the left. it'll come out. Give me the bat. Give me the bat. There we go. Give me. I think I have an illegal second ball, but I'll take it. Damn it. Watch the... No, I'm sorry. That's all right. There it goes. There it goes. All right. Come on. Begin round. Begin round. Begin round. Begin round. I'm not backhanding that, right? No, you got a multiball. Oh, thank you. It's a Brian and Bunch. All right, I'm going up. I'm going to do what Hawkeye says. Just go up the middle. Up the middle, baby. Up the middle. Oh, that's like... Oh, that... Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa. Now I have to get around when it's not a bagaigne. Jackpot. Jackpot. The game is broken. Shit. Jesus. I am not an indis player. Oh, no. The blippers died. Oh, they came back. That was weird. I think I have an extra ball going in the game right now. I'm a little confused. Yeah. That's okay. I'll take... Oh. Crap. Flippers died again. because it thinks I drained out. It says billion. Now it's my turn. Oh, that's your turn? Okay, go. Oh, wow, weird. Did you guys in chat see that? See what I mean? I was a little worried when you said you wanted to stream on this day. I didn't say I wanted to stream on this day. I was a little worried when someone said they wanted to stream on this day. I think it will be okay now. Because I drained when I was supposed to drain. As opposed to you kept playing your balls over and over. Tournament director? I think you played through my game. My ball too. You guys want to look at the thing? I brought out a screwdriver. We're going to tighten up this part. We can talk about the museum while we're doing this. That would be me. Monica can start. If you guys can talk about the museum. Sure, I can say all kinds of things about the museum. I like it. It's fun. It's a non-profit. That's a non-profit. 401C. 401C. If you hold this here, we don't have to take it all the way off. 401K, C. 401K, C, whatever. 501C, 3. 501C, 3, 4K. Oh, my God. Yeah. I brought the wrong tool. Stand by. Yep. So how did you first hear of the museum? Oh, man. This was back in 2000. And when we first moved here, my wife brought me here as a surprise. and it was only like coming through the back. Now it's a huge place. That was before I actually got back into pinball. I officially got back into pinball when I moved near... Yeah, that's probably better. David can come in from the front. Yeah, there we go. Just go in from the front. You're probably better off. I first heard of this... I don't even think they had a museum. and they were it was a like arty what I was called the lucky lucky do and I was like oh in the little yeah like an alleyway on like minute Street or something and I'm like this is the coolest thing ever is so neat I think it was like 2007 should I raise the playfield or do you want to just keep straight I mean if you can raise it up and not like should I should turn it off I can hold it we could try I mean I can even go up a little bit what games Brian show us your best peasant person I turn the game off nope don't want to do that I'm not gonna take the balls out okay let's see how high you can go up keep We're okay. I don't want to take the balls out. I just wanted to see. I got it. Like, where? So then I went to the Pacific Pinball Expo up in San Rafael. Or I think it was San Rafael. San Rafael, yeah. And I didn't know it was connected with NSE. And someone was like, yeah, I have all these games. I see where. Where am I reaching to? That's where I got to play Attack from Mars. And I got like, I don't know. I can't do it. I can't do it while we're streaming. Oh, you have to tighten them from both sides, right? I think it needs to go from the bottom, and I can't find the thing I need to get to. Hey, it's dead air. Keep talking. Oh. I was talking, and you guys were talking. We're so intrigued. I'm like watching you screw. Like, I'm the only one working. and these guys aren't talking. I went to the PPE, Pacific Pinball Expo, up in San Rafael. Which ones did you go to? I went to the last two years, I think, that it existed. And then, yeah, they shut off all the games at midnight and Allison was like, Brad's having his best game ever on the planet Mars and I only had like five billion or something. But to me, I was like, oh, this is amazing, so good. Look at me. And then they shut off the game. In the middle of it? in the middle of it. You can get back at him right now. I know. Motherfucker knows all about that. It's tight. It's tight. You made the mistake of starting a great game right toward the end of the night. Yeah. You chose that moment to be good. Another story I have from there. But just to put it into context, would that still be a good game for you? No. No, okay. It's just a normal game. Five billion. Did having it get turned off then part of what really inspired you to get more? Can we make that lemonade? Can we make that lemonade? I don't think so. But it inspired me to seek out more games and try to... Yeah. What year did you say that was? You didn't say a year. It was just the last two years. 2006. 2008. I think it was like... 11 or 12. Play without them, guys. You guys take too long. I'll be quick. Shorter than me, we've gotten so much better. That's awesome. So, you know how Stern came up with the game Metallica? Yep. And I was like, people were excited because it's a brand new game. And I was like, I've played Metallica. They're like, what are you guys talking about? I played it years ago. at the Pacific Climax though. They like no it a brand new game that just coming out I like I swear I played Metallica So what happened was Are you thinking of helicopters No Dirty Donnie made a Metallica out of a earth shaker Oh, okay. It was a custom game. I can't imagine how that would look. And it was James Hetfield's Metallica that he donated for the show. Okay. And that's why Donny Gillies (Dirty Donny) got his job. No way! Because he already worked with Metallica doing that game. And they said, we will only do a Metallica film machine if Donny Gillies (Dirty Donny) does the art. Wow! That is awesome. I love hearing stories about pinballists, people in the industry getting hired because of their talent. Yeah. Either as art work or as players. You've met him, right? I've never met him. He was in the neighborhood for a while. Yeah, he moved to Palm Springs. That's sick. Yeah, never got to meet him. You come into pretty gold about every once in a while. Maybe I saw him, but I wasn't. Like, I wasn't streamer man. I was regular man. I had a funny story about him where we were having a beer at Keezer. Keezer Pub. and he wouldn't tell me what game he was working on next. And I'm like, oh, it better not be Aerosmith. Oh, no. Oh, no. It was Aerosmith. And he got really quiet. He's like... What do you think? Look, the art is really great on it. I just don't like the band Aerosmith that much. Okay. The game's okay. The game's okay. I'm not a huge fan of it. I just wanted people to see that I can sort of play pinball. Yeah, you're doing well. But you guys can just start a new game and play. No, no, just finish up the game. Yeah, should I play? Yeah, finish up the game, please. We're just talking. That's awesome. So I was a little embarrassed. Oh, I almost got embarrassed. You better not be embarrassed because, man, that pinball game would suck. That band is terrible. And I hate people who play who did it. When I'm from Boston, they're all like, oh, we're still in Boston, man. And I'm like, you're not. You all live in L.A. now. You're in L.A. bands. Aerosmith is a Boston fan. Yes. I've never thought of that. I didn't even know it. Yeah. Uh-oh. Okay. The best Boston fan is the man Boston. What? Is Boston. Is the man. The best Boston fan is the man Boston. Yeah. Period. Mic drop. Is that the case? Even though all their drama and everything? Or is that part of being a Boston band? What drama? Didn't the band Boston stop being a band because they couldn't agree after two albums or three albums or something? Well, that's what makes them so great is they have one perfect album. That's one of the greatest rock albums of all time. But is that a Boston thing? That's what I was trying to understand. Oh, like being mad at each other for not getting along? Yeah, that's what I wanted to... because I don't know Boston. Steven Tyler is from Tallahassee, Florida, which is part of Boston. Hey, I got five billion! There you go! I think it's five and a half billion. I think it's five and a half. Yeah. You're speaking Fiends' language right now. Boston is pretty much the guitarist. It's his band. Yeah, it's his band. It's like Steely Dan, right? It's only the two guys. So wait, Boston had how many Perfect Albums? Three? One. One? Wait, they have more than one album. But all the songs that you know from Boston are off of one album? I think I have two albums. Maybe I've never listened to the second one. The second one has like one good song. Who's Tom Schultz? Tom Schultz. That's kind of an egomaniac. Oh, that's who we're talking about. Thank you, Grammy. Grammy got me covered. Is Boston the band that loves Cowbell? Or was that Will Ferrell's band? Blue Esther Cole. That was Blue Esther Cole, yeah. Canada. They're Canadian, right? He was an engineer who played guitar and started the band. Do you remember who was in the skit that said Mark Cowbell? I think that's Christopher. Is it Christopher Walken? Christopher Walken, yeah. Okay. No, it's Christopher Talken. It was Stephen Tyler. That's my favorite. Steven Tyler from Tallahassee, Florida. The second album has more than one good song, says Fuzzy Court, to Brian O'Neill, top IFDA player. I love just standing here playing pinball and let you mouth off and get in trouble. That was all I really wanted was for someone to say something that was going to be objectionable. Don't look back is the great. Don't look back, Amanda, I guess. I'm going to let this get quiet. I'm going to do my little commercial now. Okay. So I wore a shirt today. Yay! Which says, is it 2.0? Arcade Expo 2.0. These were events that were held at the Museum of Pinball in Banning, California, which you all know is no more. And it just made me think, like, do I wear this shirt today? And I thought, well, there's a message. you should come and patronize the Pacific Pinball Museum get a membership do what you can because years from now we don't want to look back and just have t-shirts of a place that isn't there anymore so we're here come and play this is not a fundraising stream we're not asking for donations and I know some of you aren't local so get out here but if anyone is listening recommend be like oh you gotta check out and if you haven't been here The model here is you pay to get in, you have in and out privileges for the day, and all the games are on free play. Wait, you can get in and out burger here? There is an in and out burger about a mile away. So you can use your in and out privileges to get in and out burger. But, yeah, so I just thought that would be the little story I told. Don't come on Monday. We're closed on Monday. They have a huge collection that I hope to see more of on display someday. Yeah, this is actually, this room was not seen on the fundraiser. This is a background. As you guys can see, you didn't see this background at all. And David pointed out, this is incredible. Look at this, guys. Who did this? What? What? Look. So this, Michael Sheese worked on this. Yeah, you can barely, it's like you can barely see. This is one of several clear pinball machines we have. Actually, Brian, I don't want to hurt my back again for the purpose of the stream. Can you just sort of slide that back in? Sure. To the side of it? Yeah. It's really heavy. It's, those are clubbed in, right? Yeah, right. Yes, it's heavier than a regular pinball. Yes. So, but just to give people a feel, I think, can you see, You can kind of see, I mean the sides are, the whole cabinet is clear. So when you're playing, so we're going to do a stream on one of the clear pins in the future, but Monum wanted to get like lots more cameras so we can show you sort of the insides of the game while it's going. Quick 3,000 mile jump. We don't have the right, it's not focusing and everything. No, I just, I mean, I thought, well, if we're going to play this game, this is right behind us, so it's good. And acrylic or polycarbonate? I don't know, and it's sort of proprietary. It's very thick. One of the things that was a challenge when they first created this, I know people have done them since, and I'm not sure what they've used, but figuring out what material to use to get enough strength. Like I warned Brian, it's a lot heavier than a regular pinball machine. Yes, it's thick. It's really thick. But it was like, how much plastic do you need to get the strength that the wood had? It takes more plastic. Yeah. So, you know what, I mean. We're going to do a whole stream about it. Yeah. Right, but we probably still won't give away the trade secrets. I mean, it's like whatever. And, you know, like the play field is also clear. So it's, the artwork is on the play field. It's sort of translucent. So you can still kind of see through it. But, um... Are these plastics custom made? The plastics are all custom. I don't, I, you know, Michael must have done this one also with Wade Krause. Polycarbonate? Oh, is Wade's name on it? Yeah, yeah. With Wade. Fuzzy, you probably figured it out. Polycarbonate is isotropic and stronger than wood. Is Christian his brother? Yes. So, you know, the first one Michael did was Surf Champ. And, uh, then the follow on... Is Surf Champ at... It's in storage. I thought it might have been at the other science museum or whatever. There is a surf champ at the Exploratorium that they have bought from the museum and Michael, I'm not sure how that transaction went. I think it was from the museum. But yeah, so there's a surf champ at the Exploratorium. But after surf champ, one of the reasons that freedom was chosen is what we're showing here Here is the electromechanical freedom. There's also a solid state freedom. And we have a clear version of that. And those are often on display side by side. And there's a center pop freedom. That we didn't make a separate play field for that. There are only 50 of those or something. The custom, another clear play field would probably cost more than the whole 50 games we made. Fill it with water and put some tropical fish inside. How many pinball tables? Actually, there was an episode of some TV show where they made custom fish tanks, and they did a pinball machine. Oh, that's cool. And I have the episode. I've saved it off. There's 90 machines here? There are 90 machines here, and we're expanding. We're actually making another room out of pinball machines, and we'll probably hit 100. And then how many are in storage? Another 1,000 at least. Yeah. I got to show that Annex video again. Another thousand. Probably more like another 1100. I'm not sure all of those. Some of those are games from the 20s there. If we restored them, they wouldn't be on free play. Someone would show you them and you could probably play them once. Behind the velvet curtains. What's the oldest game that you can play here? The oldest game you can play... That's real, that has... That is electronic, I guess. So, I mean, we have the first flipper game. We have Humpty Dumpty here, and it's on free play. Everyone can play it. We have games that are older than that, that are behind the velvet rope, but they work. So they can be turned on and played, but we don't have them in, like, the normal free play thing. So, I mean, we have a ballet bumper here. I'd have to go look. I think it's from the 30s. Wow. And it, I think it was the first game that had automatic score keeping. So before that, well, no, before that, I mean, you had, we have a mobile camera. We could go. We do. I can bring one over here. So we have a reproduction game you can play. You pick a marble and you shoot the ball and there's pins. Yeah. And it gets caught in places that have a number and you can add up your score. Yeah. With Valley Bumper, you had electric bumpers that the ball would hit, and each hit would register score, and it's tallied automatically. And that is – Was it through lights? It's a rear projection display. I can show it to you, but I don't know. You guys will have to – yeah, there you go. That was it. So they – what they figured – Is that a scuba? It's a – Click on the link that I just posted. It's a C-ray. I think it's Sea Ray is the name of the game. Or Stingray? Stingray. Stingray. So they wanted to kind of do a clear cabinet, and they realized it doesn't work. You can't put fish inside the cabinet. So they had the cabinets hanging on the side, and they lit them, and they did things. So funny. Pretty cool. Yeah, they actually made that. Don't worry, guys. We're going to do a specific stream about that. and then when we do that stream we might walk around and take a little look at the museum some more but yeah this is the back room there's another room back there we only cover two rooms during the fundraiser and if you want to see the fundraiser it's still on my Twitch channel so go for it, it's like eight hours long so yeah and I'm sure there's some good minutes in that there's a lot of Brian in it or Brian's money yeah a lot of Brian's money in it thank you very much Brian I want to get back to this. Okay, I'm going to step aside. All right. Show me the money, man. Show me how to play this. I want to get good. I want to try. That middle boy went shot hard. He hits it every time. No, the glove gets it half the time. See, I didn't hit it. How do you like the game round? I don't know. That's a good question. Okay, I'll look at this card here. Smelly aggressive. I don't see that thingy right here. I should have left the stream to you, actually. I didn't even miss out. I'll just I feel like it's saying flip, flip. Flip, flip. Flip, flip. Cliptronic Flip Flip Flip Flip You're going to play your ball? Mm-hmm. I think once I get over 100 million. That will give me 5.5, I think. Blood, blood, blood. We're turning into a new game. Ha! Blood. Blood. So it says billion, but I have 5.698 now. Yeah. Alright, I can catch him. Alright, good, it's me. I'm back again. Man, man, man. Man. You're, you're... By the way, Mudderfutter and Ryan are good friends, so it's all love. Yeah. It's not love. He told me personally he hates you. He really is. I spent time with him at Expo and I was sorry every moment. Yeah. Why do you think his name is Mudderfutter? I don't know. Why do you think his name is Butterfutter? I don't know. Is Jord on the other hand? Jord is wonderful and beautiful and I love her smile and her laugh. I have to give up my day job. I'm just playing pinball. You're just playing pinball? This isn't your day job? So, being in the round is on there at the start. Okay, now how do you light another... Maybe you need to hit a ramp or something? Like that? Nope. You can totally see what that happens to. Yeah. I don't know, we'll figure it out. So I get it on the start. Yep. Then, it doesn't even say it here. I know. The words begin round don't show up on this. I don't see it. If a player has a low score when beginning their last ball, then a hurry up extra ball, hurry up special may be awarded. Nah. That's hilarious how those two words don't show up. Serious question, where is Minty Mango? She is working right now. Man, that is a late shot. She might be in chat, maybe. Lurking. That is a really late shot. Where's the scoop? I could probably do it again. That was 20 million. Oh no. What? Where's the clip button for that one? Replay? Yeah. Save replay. Oh, is it saved? Yeah. I'll take a look. If you ever drain this take a look at it I want to see that other one too that happened in the first game We can review that later Yeah We took a bunch of them. Y'all going to be back for Mass State Champions this weekend? Yes. Yep. Oh, okay. It's a week from yesterday. That's in your hometown. Flip, flip, flip. It says shoot scoop. It means the up scoop. Yeah, that's weird. We'll time it out. So I got one hit on it. And one drop by it. That was a test. So how do you think we relight this thing? So let me try the captive ball. Let me try the right orbit. Let me try the captain ball. I don't know what innings are all about. Okay, let's try that. Nope. Damn it. That always sets them right. When Hawkeyes was here, I asked him, One of his favorite games. Grand Slam, I like that. Grand Slam. Maybe a home run will do it? No, no, no. Player's choice? No. No. Drop target? No. Innings are the... Shut up. I love how I started to read it and realized... Why do you think I call him a jerk? I started to read it too. Man, we are not getting that beginning round thing, baby. That's what we're trying to do right now, folks. Maybe you gotta make it around the bases. Maybe. So you got a man on first and third, see if you can bring that man home. Okay. That doesn't help at all. Oh, oh, the beginning round just lit. I'm gonna just start a golden glove. Oh. Playing the glove maybe lights? Oh. Oh, holy smokes. That was not good. The ball was not supposed to hop over. To have a hit on the glove. He's fresh. You said you weren't a sports ball guy. I was trying to help. That's why I like George. That didn't do anything. Everybody needs to come out to San Francisco and hang with us at the museum. Seriously, we'll have fun. No, seriously, we will. We'll have fun. I'm not kidding. Alright, fine. It won't be any fun. Oh, the glove did light it. So maybe... It did light it? Okay. Yep. Multiple hits to the glove? Yep. That's dangerous. Oh my god. Ooh. Okay, call him Reeflex. Boom! Okay, now what? Night game. No problem, Manu. Shroom and Chops. Uh. Okay, uh, Pinbot. Ha ha ha. Look at that trust. Look at that trust fall. Ouch. I'm due for an SF trip again someday. Is that a motherfucker? Yeah. I only seek not fun. Alright. See, I got an extra ball lit on the left floor of it. So it feels bad for you? That's the loser extra ball. Tell me about it. Oh, I shouldn't let that bounce. Post. Yeah. Talk about post play for a little bit. Should we show the replay? Yeah, let's see what that replay looked like. So what happened? Was it some kind of crazy trap? Oh my god. The dig. The dig. The freaking dig of like, you're like, press that button, man. While we're here for a little bit longer, talk about post play. What are the strategies when you have a little post? I only trust when I see it coming just straight if it's at an angle I don't trust so you're going to try and hit it at an angle but otherwise yep because I'm never kind of sure when to use it, when not to use it it'll trap you up look at a knot immediately after yeah pin it pin it pin in her night oh yeah yeah pin her yeah thought I said thank you I said it the very thing all right pin box did something to me beforehand all right I'm gonna go first and you're fry this time to beat me no just try it's try okay try as my son would say I would I'm going to try hard yeah play better all right it's you versus me it's man versus machine that is the yeah that's a virtual pinball yeah I didn't use some clips from eugenics that's the thing that he hawks. The man boosting formula. Yeah so they call them pup packs because of the program that's used to display them is the pup system. And all it is is you're adding, it's not trivial, it's hard to do, but you're but you're basically building a stern LCD or Jersey Jack you know video it's not easy it takes a lot a lot of work oh my god thank you okay natural million We're talking about the actual male enhancement. Natural. Alright. Begin round. I guess I'm not sure what you're talking about. We're still talking about Frank Thomas. Oh no, I told you the same. It's a natural. I'm not sure what you're talking about. I'm not sure what you're talking about. I'm not sure what you're talking about. What a trap. You're born with the natural. I guess this is what I have. I'm not. I got trading cards. I think if you get enough trading cards, you get like a 250 million point bonus. Oh, really? Yeah. I'll take it. Did you see what I did with that post and do you know when I broke it or what? I didn't see what you had in the bag. So I tried to tighten it and it just turned and turned and turned. And with everything in the way I couldn't really get to the bottom. So I lifted it and turned it and I was able to get it tight. So I was pulling the T-nut on the bottom and the T-nut had completely come out of the wood. So it was turning with the post. If I lift it and I can tighten it, then once you get it tight enough, the T-nut will drive itself into the wood. I mean, maybe I hit the same old road, but... Uh, one of the fighters said, Grumpy EM doctor was all of us right there. Grumpy what? Grumpy EM doctor was all of us right there. right there. Was all of us. I think he meant when, like, you gave, like, a face, like, enhancement. Oh, oh, yes. Okay. Male enhancement. Yeah. Okay. Yeah, I... That wasn't bad. I wish... Yeah, that was good. Maybe I should have left the room and let you guys just talk about yourselves. I wish my non-enhanced mailman would show up. I learned... This is a non-pinball story, but I think there's a lesson in it. Mm-hmm. So my neighborhood has a newsletter. Yeah. So I opened up the newsletter the other day, and there's an interview with the mailman. So apparently he is retiring, and that's why they chose to do this. He's been the mailman in my neighborhood for 35 years. Nice. And I've said hello to him. We've waved and everything, but I've never really talked to him. So it turns out he's a musician. He plays pan flute and other flute stuff with traditional Andes music. Oh, yeah. So the name of the band that he was in when he came to the U.S. to play music here, I recognize the name. I bought their CDs when I saw them playing in the street in the 90s. So I've had a CD of this guy's music for 30 years, and I never even talked to him. And now he's retired. He doesn't come by my house every day anymore where I'm going to get to talk to him. That's so sad. So how many people are in my life that I never really spend time talking to, only to find out they're fascinating and we have a previous connection? So now I feel like I need to talk to everyone. Have I ever told you the Piano Darren story? I've seen the piano Darren picture. Oh, there's there's a story. Okay. I'm not gonna do it on the stream because it's too obscure for the audience. But I will tell it to you on the drive to Bart. All right. It's pretty amazing. Thank you for the host. Sam here is your mailman. It's not actually the pan flute. He had another name for it. But Sukay, or Sukey, S-U-K-A-Y-S-U. He has a newer band. If I'm going to plug him, I should tell you the newer band. I learned all about the Hammered Balsamer the other day. Me? Yeah. Oh, okay. I am a fan of Hammered Balsamer music. And we got to see a woman that is named Dulcimer and she plays the dulcimer. So her name is Chinese, so Yang Chin. That's a weird name, Yang Chin. Yang Chin is her name and she plays the Yang Chin. Everybody, Yang Chin tonight. And it's a little later into the performance you find out, yes, she is named for the musical instrument that she then went on to play. Her sister's name is Piano. But also it's a Chinese name, it's not really Piano. So his band is... Inkuyo? I-N-K-U-K-O. Damn it. We're pretty close. I think you're 50 million off. I got one shot in it. So if you ever get the Big Hurd, you get a billion? No. No, it's the replay. When you pass like 100 million. So, should we change that setting? And reset the high scores. Yeah. No balls there. That's what you catch up on. You know what it is? It's a salad. Yep. It's a salad. He eats too much meat. I eat salad. It's man boosting. It's man boosting. It's man boosting. I like a man who's that solid so that he could compete. And he was too busy to eat before. He was too stressed. He was always stressed about the stream. Setting everything up all perfect. He should be stressed. No, I wasn't trying to set it up perfect. I was trying to get it to work. Ooh, 70 million. Right? Okay, that's it. That's the best I can do today. You're winning. How many independent computers have to work for this set up to work? No. This is a computer. That's a computer. That's a computer. That's a computer. You're using them as a... I mean... I understand there's only one streaming... Is the camera a computer? Well, I was going to say screens. Yeah. They have Wi-Fi in them, maybe. Oh, there you go. You know what? The problem is the... I've been talking... I talked to Abby. I know. So, the one part is not fun. I think the one part will be fun. We have to... I know. Awesome. So, we should... Well, Ice-Kidoo makes a good point. How many servers, how many computers does the stream have to go through to get to someone else's computer? Yeah, that's... All the servers along the way. No, but that's not... The problem is just the upload from here. No, he was just saying... You were asking how many computers does it take to run the stream. Oh, no, I mean, when we started... I mean, this one wasn't lit up. He was saying that all the routers, all the stuff you route through the Internet are all computers that you're routing. Oh, yeah, but I don't think that's... I think the problem here is the service. It's a series of tubes. It's a series of tubes. Well, that's about as good as I'm going to do. I don't crank up as fast as, say, Ryan O'Neill, but after a while I get a little bit better, maybe, and a little bit of salad. Should we change the setting to see what it would be like now? Let me see how this game does. I'm going to let you guys change all kinds of things, but we're done. Oh, yeah. Oh yeah, we're done. We are done. So the point is not for me to play great. It's for me to play with my friends here at the Pacific Pinball Museum. Which you should definitely, so people think about coming to San Francisco, they go to Free Gold Watch, right? Because I'm always at Free Gold Watch. But I always say, it's not far. You can hop the BART, I think, or you can get a lift. BART and a bus. BART and a bus. Or BART and a lift. You can do a boat. You can do a boat. Yeah. How far does the... You have to get here from the boat. Okay. Yeah. But then you get to take a boat here, which is pretty cool. I know. You take the ferry. We're on an island right now. We're on an island, yes. It's not a hard sell. If you come down here, you get a lot. And if you happen to be in the area and you rent a car or something, it seems like it's going to be. Yeah, parking is easy here. It's great. There's some traffic around rush hour getting to the bridge. But otherwise, you know, it's not that bad. Trust me. I used it when I first heard of this place. I live in San Francisco. This was just, this might as well be the other side of the world. The other side of the country. Whatever. I now come here at least once a week. I time it where I can get here in 30 minutes. I'll be here until late tonight. I'll be home in 25 minutes. And that's not, that's fine. So it's not that bad. You can get out. It's not a hard sell. You come out here, you're going to love it. Any pinballist is going to kind of love it. David, thank you so much. You're welcome. Thanks for coming. David's helping me get here at least once a month to stream something and show you guys and give you some history. Give you some of the love that all these guys have for these games. Brian O'Neill is my buddy. He streams on Beers with the O'Neills. If you want to see top-level play, don't come to me. I'm not self-deprecating. I just can't give it to you. Go see Brian and Allison. They're amazing. press his belly to pause him boop yeah I got a belly too trust me everybody's got a belly over here veggie powered streamer so thank you guys once again and I'll see you tomorrow maybe we'll stream vpx big hurt you won't get 5 billion I know maybe we'll do that alright see you guys see ya bye And you guys can change all the settings you want. Thank you. Hey kids, if you want to watch some more pinball, we're going to go read Small Town Pinball. Say hi for me and Brian and David. Okay? Okay, see you tomorrow. We'll see you next time.
