Welcome back, Pinball Nerds, to episode 677 of your fifth favorite pinball podcast. My name is Orbital Albert, and on today's episode, we are going to be counting down the top five most rad benefits, features, mechs, artwork, callouts. It could be anything. The top five most rad things about the newest machines with an S from Multimorphic for the P3 system. And that is Dungeon Crawler Carl, a theme that's very near and dear to my heart, and Ender's Game, a theme that I really don't know too much about. I did, in preparation for today's podcast, watch the trailer for Ender's Game twice with Harrison Ford. I have seen, you know, I have heard people say that it's not one of Harrison Ford's better movies. However, a ton of people who I actually give a lot of credibility to have said that the books for Ender's Games are quite good. So now that I know my buddy Glenn the Skateboarder is going to be doing not only – now I did know – I did get a heads up. I did get a heads up from Glenn that he had been working on another project. He wouldn't tell me which company. He wouldn't tell me which game. Not that I asked. I said, please don't tell me. I love to be surprised, okay? But I did – what he didn't tell me – and Glenn, you scoundrel – no, I'm just kidding. No, he did great. But he didn't tell me, okay, he's a little bit of a secret of Sally. He did not tell me that he did the call-outs. Oh, my God. When I started hearing Glenn doing the call-outs in the trailer, I was just like, wow, that's so cool. Because it's one thing to get to do the sound design and help with, you know, maybe, you know, I'm assuming sound design includes but is not limited to, you know, the call-outs, the music, how, of course, one, you know, Which music takes precedence in which mode or multiball, that sort of thing. And then also all the sound effects. Like, wow, we'll get into that in a minute. But shout out to Glenn. I'm going to try my best. Okay, I'm going to try my best to not be biased.

And now that I've watched the video about five times in a row, wow. First of all, let me just say this because this is for both videos. Because the production value was, I think, perhaps maybe the best I've seen or at least as good as. And not that P3 doesn't have really good trailers when they come out. But I just think in the three minutes it showed you just enough of both Dungeon Crawler Carl. Can I just call it DCC? Can I call it DCC? You guys know what I'm talking about? Okay, there we go.

    And also Ender's Game. I think that you get to see just enough of both of those games. You get to see just enough of the awesome animations. You get to see just enough of how that big wheel in the middle spins around or turns around. My first thought was when I saw it, wow, it kind of looks like a plate in a microwave that kind of spins. I was trying to think of something that size. Of course, a microwave plate's not nearly that cool. But I'm just going to call it the big wheel, I think. But let's just get right into it. Everybody, I miss you. I'm sorry I haven't done a show. I think it's been about 11 days, which, you know, for me is about average. I'm trying to pick up my cadence a little bit here now that I've been at my services have no longer been needed at my last job. So I am trying to increase my cadence and to my 14 Patreons. I am so sorry. I have not a to anyone who's left. I don't fault you for it. I was not providing a lot of content. I was so busy between running a homestead, being a dad, which I know a lot of people say, well, one of your sons lives across the country. You can't take up that much time. And that is true. But he did take up quite a bit of time because he was just down for the last 10 days. And I had an absolute blast getting to hang out with him. It was so nice to see him. I guess he left. It wasn't the last 10 days. He left like a week ago. But I had a really great time with Hayden here. I don't remember if I've had a podcast since then. Maybe I have. But let's just get right into it. Let's just start talking about it. I'm going to start with Ender's Game. Okay, top five, Rad. Here we go. Number five, and I'm just going to, like a Band-Aid, pull it off quick, get it out of the way, because I know a lot of people probably be thinking, oh, he's been buds with Glenn for a long time. He's going to add this, and he's going to incorporate into it. And of course, I did, but I believe it's true. I believe this to be non-biased. Anyone, you know, listen for yourself, okay? Go watch the video. As of this moment, there was about half as many views on Ender's Game as there was DCC, but let's just go. Number five, the music, okay? The music in the background for about the first half or so of the trailer is very thematrical, very sci-fi related, like, that you would hear and, like, a buildup, a very thrilling theatrical, very, like, literally exactly what I would expect, but maybe even better, okay? And again, I don't know if that has anything to do with the movie or anything to do with the book or just I don't know how it could have anything to do with the book. But I don't know if like I haven't and I will talk to Glenn and I have invited him on the show. I know he's got a couple other interviews that are coming out in the next few days that we're going to let those come out first. Let them have a little bit of breathing space. See what the society, the world, the pinball nerds of the world, the pinfluencers, as you were, have to say about Ender's Game and Dungeon Crawler Carl. And then we're going to have Glenn the skateboarder. I mean, Glenn Wechter, sorry, sound designer at P3 Multimorphic. OK, I'll just call it Multimorphic because I know P3 is now the system. So out of respect. But I'm going to get to have Glenn right here on the show. Very excited. He has let me know he's going to come on for a chat. Um, there's probably going to be a lot of softballs. I'm not going to be asking too many hard, hard questions because I'm just so stoked that like a person that I've been like, you know, and again, I, we're not like best friends. We don't talk all the time, but I have the pleasure of, uh, you know, over the last eight or nine years, almost getting onto a decade, uh, we've been buds in the pinball world. So I'm just so excited that he finally, all of his hard work. And I thought someday this would happen. I didn't know we'd get to start with multimorphic. That's really rad. But anyways, the music, the call outs, okay, the call outs are incredible. The, I mean, Glenn's are my favorite, but that's, you know, that's just me. And then on top of that, the thematrical music at the start is really good, but when the multiball kicks in, it turns into almost like Daft Punk, like some type of like old school 90s techno that's been like modernized and then had like space lasers added to it just for fun. And it sounds to me what I think, again, I haven't seen the movie, but it sounds to me what I think like an outer space laser war would sound like, which is exactly what you want to hear in this game. And they sound great. All of the sounds sounded awesome. The callouts were good. We don't know how many callouts are in the game in a three minute video, you know, but especially all the ones I heard from Glenn. And again, probably just because, you know, he sang the entrance song to what, like probably 400 of my 700 shows. Right. So anyways, Glenn, thank you for all you've done for Pinball and I love what you did with the sound design on Ender's Game and I can't wait to play it, okay? Number four on the list is the cost. Now listen, I don't want this to be a Dutch trope, okay? I am half Dutch and that's not saying much because listen, in the grand scheme of things is what is the difference is $4,400 USD for that module to $52. $95 or like $5,300, so almost a grand. It's like just short of $900, okay? A $5 foot long from Subway short of $900. $900 is a lot of money to me. So if I knew that I really, really, really want, I would have to get Dungeon Crawler Carl, okay? Because I am more nostalgic for Dungeon Crawler Carl. If there can be nostalgia that builds up over four or five months of listening to a book, I cannot even count. Maybe not. I guess maybe nostalgia is the wrong word for DCC, but a theme I'm more interested in currently. I could read Ender's Game, and it could be my new favorite book. I could like it better than Harry Potter. But as of right now, Dungeon Crawler Carl, I am in Chapter 25, and I can't wait to go through and read it, Because now that I'm hearing all the voices that the most incredible voice artist has in it, when you go to read a book later, you'll get to hear those same voices in your head. And so that's really cool. It's the same way with when you go back and read Harry Potter after watching the movies, you actually hear the movie characters' voices when you're reading it. So that will be even more exciting. And even better news for Dungeon Crawler Carl is the fact that it's already got greenlit for a television show, and there's supposed to be a whole bunch of stars in that. And that could be, I'm not even kidding you, like Dungeon Crawler Carl, even though right now to probably 90% of pinball people, even the nerdiest of us who is into sci-fi and who are really, really into like that type of stuff, like going to comic cons like myself and just comic books and just really, I guess, nerd culture, right? For lack of a better term, even 90% of us didn't know about Dungeon Crawler Carl until even maybe like a year ago, six months ago when it really started to take off, you know? And I know that Matt's on, what, book nine or book ten, and he said that before the TV show comes out. I don't know. I don't think it's the fall of this year. I think it's maybe the spring of 2027. Google it, okay? I don't know. But when the show comes out, it could go on to be, I think, bigger than Fallout. Definitely bigger than Fallout season two, which I still don't watch the end of. It's on my tentative list, but this summer was supposed to be very relaxing without me working, and it's got very, very, very busy, which is good, though. It's good to be busy. For 10 days when Hayden was down, we were traveling almost every day to somewhere new and different to go check stuff out.

    Anyways, let's go on to... So number four is the cost. It's $900 less, and to me, that's a big difference. So if I was going to buy Dungeon Crawler Carl, I would honestly get Ender's Game as well. Now, if I read the book Ender's Game and I watched the movie and I didn't really jive with the movie or the book, I didn't really love either of them, I would still have to get it because my buddy Glenn's in the callouts for only $4K more. Now, if it was $5K, would I get it just for Glenn? Yeah, probably. But my point is, if you're going to be buying both, you're going to be getting two games for about the price of a Stern Pro, right? Once you already own the Multimorphic P3 system, right? So anyways, I think that's really cool. The fact that it is, you know, just me looking at it, definitely, I would say Ender's Game has definitely far less sculpts and such in it, so it kind of makes sense. But to me, other than that, other than the four or five sculpts, it seems to have, I'm sure there's some things I'm missing, okay? This is just a first impressions. I have looked at the website very quickly. I haven't read every detail of what all the differences are. But like especially when you're looking at that Mongo, that really cool Mongo sculpt that they have on DCC. I don't see any sculpts nearly as cool as that on Ender's Game. But I do see number three on the list, which is the Light Show. And I'm not even lying here. I'm not even lying. I telling you right now I think that light show that light show might be my favorite light show on any pinball machine not any multimorphic not any stern any pinball machine I ever seen Especially when that big wheel that big UFO the big microwave plate whatever you want to call it when it gets us spinning and it turning around and around and around

    Man, and then at the start of multiball when like, there's two different multiball starts I saw. The one where it went all pink and the whole back went like a hot pink, neon purple, whatever. Like it looks so cool. But then there was another time, I don't know if it's a multiball or just starting of a new mode, and it like vibrated between blue and purple and blue and purple or blue and pink and all neon. And I really just think that maybe that is the best, I don't know, I'm trying to think like what is the, maybe the best light show before was Tron.

    Maybe, I don't know, right? Like, so I think that this would be right up there though. So that looks so cool. What do we got next for Ender's Game? Number two on the list. I got to go fast. I normally don't have to do two top five rads and one bad in one day on one podcast. And I know you guys don't like long and gals don't like long pinball podcasts. So number two, that little mini Deadpool thing. Now on DCC, it's like Mongo's Cage or Mongo's Case or whatever. But there's three stand up targets. I wish they were drop-downs, not going to lie, but that I always, every time, almost, and there's a couple times when standards make more sense, and this might be one of them because you want the whole thing to open at once. So as opposed to Mini Deadpool where it's slowly open like that, they want the whole thing to open at once so that when you get in there, there's all those targets and it looks like it's controllable with one of those three buttons on the side as a magnet. So the reason why I'm putting this so high up on the list is because it looks to me like after you hit those three stand-ups and it opens and you shoot a ball in there, not only does it appear possibly maybe to be controllable with a magnet, again another question I can ask Glenn when I get to talk to him, but I'm wondering, like how fun would that be to play if you could trap a ball in there while you're playing multiball and figure out a way to controllably use one of the two flippers to keep it in there? While you're playing your regular multiball with the other flippers. I don't know, but it seems really fun. Seems really cool. I mean, it lights up. It's got all this stuff going on it. And like I said, honestly, Ender's Game does have less sculpts and, you know, so it appears like for me on this list, this would definitely make the list on Dungeon Crawler, Carl, probably not. But anyways, here we go. Number one on the list. Okay. Love that mini Deadpool area, by the way. I should have known what it is. I'll try to look it up when I'm on the list. I'm multamorphic in just a second. Okay, number one on the list is the big wheel is insane. What is that big wheel in the middle? So it makes it so there is so many freaking extra shots. If you think about that wheel not being there, it's got the one shot that goes direct in. It has another shot where it helps it loop into a different shot on the play field. Then when you think about how it comes down, I don't want to count them as like 10 different shots, all those different targets, that big target wheel. So when it comes down, it's in front of you. Now, I hope they don't code that too often. That looks very, very, very hard. Like, I hope that's kind of like at the end of a very lucrative round worth a lot of points or an extra ball or like something very important. Because when that big wheel comes down and it's got all those blocking targets, like people have known P3 as being the company that, oh, it's only the back half of the playfield that has stuff. Wow. Even if you think of Grand, I almost called it Grand Theft Auto. If you think of GTF from American Pinball, why can't a Galaxy Tank Force?

    Tank Galaxy Force? Galaxy Tank Force? Why can't a Galactic Tank Force? Thank you. Thank you, brain. Why don't you go have another one, bro? But when you're thinking about that and you think about how close those stand-up targets were, I think this might even be closer. We're going to need someone like Surge or of the Pinpals or someone who can visually take these and put them on top of each other. I don't know if we've ever seen a mech. So they used to be known as the company that only had most of their mechs and ramps and primary shots were the top 40%. That did all change a little bit with Portal, of course, with having the ramp and the mech that comes down the bottom half. But now they're going to kind of be known as the company that from time to time while you're playing, and thank God that's not there because that is blocking a lot of shots on the upper left. But this wheel, and then what it does as well, when it spins around to the other side, it allows you to hook and spin and hit other shots. And then also I've seen balls that are coming down from certain shots will grip onto the top of the wheel and kind of use it as like an inlay to get back to feed the inlay, it appeared. So there's just, there's so many options with coding a big wheel like that. That has so many different shot options and such.

    Okay, so going back to it, I will say this. Number one, what is and by far will always be the big wheel. Give me a break. Okay, so voices, Glenn Wechter, Lucas Pepti, et cetera. Luke, where do we know Lucas from? Lucas was from Pin Pals. Was it Pin Pals? No, Pin Pals is with Surge and Kale. Puppet Pals. Puppet Pals. That's what it was. Okay. So, yeah, I am going to read the book. I commit to reading the book. First of all, it's summer. I have a little bit of extra time now. Second of all, most importantly, you know, all these people from Multimorphic work so hard on the game. The least I can do is read the book to see if maybe I'm going to be interested in the theme a bit more than I thought I would be. The creative directors were Stephen Silver, shout out, fellow tribe member, and Josh Coogler, awesome. Rules Colin McAlpine, oh my god, anyone who's watched Colin play pinball, he's a very adamant, you know, he plays, I don't think as many as he used to, but he plays in a lot of tournaments. And maybe more impressive even than Colin's tournament play is Colin's commentary. And when you're listening to Colin do commentary, his rule knowledge is second to none. Like I'm sure there's maybe like Jason Zoller, shout out, who won Pinnball this weekend, who might have slightly better rules knowledge on Modern or Escher Lefkoff or something like that. You know what I mean? Or on a particular game. I'm sure Keith Elwin knows the rules on Keith Elwin machines better than Colin McAlpine, probably. But what I'm saying is he's one of the best rule dudes in the world. You want him to be doing your rules. You want him to be helping figure all that stuff out. So mechanical, TJ Weaver and Trey Jones. Music, Aaron Williams and Paul Farner. Sound design, Glenn Wechter. There you go. That's so awesome. So it sounds like Glenn didn't make the music, but he did all the sound design there within. So that's awesome. Software, Josh Kugler, Steve Scheuer, and Ian Harrier.     The same way I don't have any connection to, I mean, if you think of another game that I don't have any connection to that sold out way better than I thought it would ever have, that very few of us pinball nerds had that's kind of along these lines would be Winchester or as I call it Winchester. So like, you know, when Barrels of Fun came out with Winchester, a lot of us had no expectations for that. And I think this is very similar. In that case, there was no book to read. You know, you could watch a couple docs on it and kind of get to know what it was about. But there was no book to read. So now let's get right into Dungeon Crawler Carl. I don't want this pod to run too long. So number one on Dungeon Crawler Carl's list for me would be the shots. Now I did do Dungeon Crawler Carl first and there is going to be some overlap here. Obviously there's the same shots in Ender's Game, okay? But when you look at that upper right flipper, it can hit the far left orbit type shot that comes back, I believe. And then it can hit not one, but two different really interesting ramps. And the one ramp goes underneath and through the other ramp. That's really neat. And they come back to completely different places. I honestly have lost track. What is there, five, six, seven ramps? You've got those, I don't know what they call them. Maybe it's the balance holders that have the three balls each in them.

    It's really cool. It's, it's, there's so much, I called it the rat's nest, which makes a lot more sense with Dungeon Crawler Carl. There is so much going on up there. You can't tell where one ball starts and ends and even watching a three minute video, it gives you an idea of a couple of them. But I'm probably going to need like a one hour surge rules update to really get a grasp or a handle on the rules in Ender's Game or DCC because there's so much going on. The Dungeon Crawler Carl one, all of the mountainous type, the entire background and all those sculpts back there, what they've done is so incredibly immersive and beautiful.

But little Orby Jr. is going to university to shout out to King's College in Halifax. And my wife is also going back to school. So between the two of them going back to school, we're going to have very little extra income for a while. Well, not only will she be most likely taking far less shifts now that she's going to school, we also need to come up with a whole bunch of money towards etc. So it's going to be a little bit tricky for me to go to Expo, but it's certainly, you know, Joe kind of talked to me and he's like, no, you have to go. No like you have to go So listen am I going to have to try to figure out a way to go Yes Do I want to go Of course What I love to go I want to go to Japan but I still rather go to Expo I never been to Japan It probably my favorite place I want to go to Up on that list would probably be like Australia I always say Australia slash New Zealand because if you over there in Australia one time in your life excuse me and you from North America you got to go to New Zealand while you there But like Japan, Australia, Hawaii is up there for me, Alaska. I've never been to anywhere in the Caribbean. And then I would say Iceland. That's probably one extra. Doot, doot, doot, doot, doot, doot, doot, doot, doot. Mini top five. I'm not supposed to go off topic today. Come on. This is time for P3 Multimorphic to shine. So that rat's nest up there and all those really cool shots. There's a lot going on. There's a lot of flow.

    There's just like, there's so much going on. I was trying to count the shots and I was well over 20. And of course, that's including the five or six or seven or eight, not even including all the targets from the big wheel at the bottom. So this might be the pinball machine with the most shots ever. It could be. I wouldn't be shocked if it is. I don't know. Maybe Godfather still has like one or two more shot paths. I'm not, you know, I couldn't say for sure, but it's got to be up there. It's got to be up there. I'd be shocked if it wasn't top five. Put it that way. All right, next, number four on the list.

    The callouts are absolutely perfect, and I'm going to include this to be the callouts slash the music slash the sound effects. Now, of course, the callouts are going to be perfect because they're done by the award-winning voice artist. When you guys are listening to those callouts, I believe all of those other than maybe one was done all by just one dude, Like the male voices, the female voices, the donuts voice, the kitty cat, right? Like the space people's voices, the animals voices. It's all done by one dude. Like it's so cool. And I forget his name. I'm sure it's in there. I should probably have this up in front of me right now anyways. But wow. And yeah, I am so happy that they got the actual. You need in this case because no other book maybe in history has been listened to on audiobook more than it's actually been read as a book. Like has the ratio been as high as it has been of any modern, I will call it a modern classic already because it is. And if you've listened to it, you know that that's true.

I'm going to say straight up best cabinet I've seen so far by DCC or sorry by Multimorphic. Art direction, Steven Silver, Brad Albright, sculpts by Stumbler Pinball. There you go. Like those sculpts are incredible, but we're not going to talk about that yet too much. Digital assets from Renegade Game Studios, animations from Steven Silver and Ian Herwer. Wow, Ian was helping with the animations as well. That's kind of cool. Special thanks, Playmate Toys. Okay, cool. Wow. So we already talked about number five on the list for Dungeon Crawler Carl is the shots, but number four is the callouts and that hard, hard rock that's going on in the background. All the sound effects are extremely theme appropriate, what you think you'd hear in a video game type RPG like that. Number three on the list, and you could hear me gushing already, the artwork, especially, and Brad Albright, I love everything you've done with the play field, But my favorite by far is the cabinet. Like the way that the cabinet looks, obviously this is very dungeon-esque and dungeon appropriate, but the way that the cabinet looks and especially that back glass, the side cabinet, it's just incredible. It has every single character you would want. I'm not going to say it's just incredible. I don't think it's like, I wouldn't put it in my top like five favorite art packages of all time by any means. But it is by far my favorite Multimorphic art package of all time by leaps and bounds, leaps and bounds. And I like a lot of their other art packages. Don't get me wrong. I'm just saying this one to me is a standout. Okay, number two on this list is that big giant screen that Multimorphic has. We've now seen Multimorphic officially Multimorphicize. All right, try that one on for size. We've seen them come into their own because could Dungeon Crawler Carl, and although Jason Knapp over at Knapp's Arcade, shout out, thanks for this fun, very fun little rumor that maybe Barrels of Fun has it also. I really, really, really don't see two pinball companies coming out with the same themed pin at the same time. Maybe 5, 10, 15 years later, sure, but at the exact same time, I just don't think they would. I think that would be very silly to do. And if you love Dungeon Crawler Carl, the amount of immersion and magic under the glass, if you will, that we're seeing here in Dungeon Crawler Carl, I just don't even know. Maybe, maybe, maybe Barrels of Fun could match it. Maybe. Maybe, possibly, Jersie Jack. But I really think that they've done a spectacular job here. And even though it is $900 more, it would be very, very hard for me to say, oh, I would get if I had to choose between the two, I'm definitely getting Dungeon Crawler Carl. And that's not a slight against you, Glenn. I'm sorry. You can yell at me when you come on in a couple of days. But like, I just love the theme so much more. I love hearing those call outs. I hope they got a lot of call outs. I hope they got a lot of custom callouts.

    But number two is the immersion that that screen allows because you saw in that trailer how you got to pick which level you were going to go to and each level looked completely different. And to have totally different objectives, just like in, you know, in the books, every single level is totally different. It looks totally different. It has different bosses and, you know, there's different kind of rules for how magic works and how different things are approached and how the NPCs work and everything are totally different. And, you know, there's a lot of differences with each level. So this works out perfect because if you were Stern or if you were Jersey Jack, you can't make your whole play field completely 100% change every level. But you can if it's P3.

    So I think they're really coming to their own. The one that I want you to pay attention to, if you go back and watch the trailer one more time, is the big clockwork. When it starts the big clockwork mode, it looks so cool. And it's integrated so well. And it looks very like, I don't know, like kind of space punk, I guess. I don't know, something like that. What was that? Cyberpunk-esque? It kind of looks like that. Like a little bit of a mixture of old and grunge and dirty, but I don't know. It looks like Dungeon Crawler should. Crawler Carl should. And then number one on the list, you guys already knew where I was going with this most likely, but number one by far on the list for me is that big wheel. And I can say this from watching both trailers multiple times, how the trailers are implemented are completely different.

    So it looks like there's like if you owned both, you wouldn't be like, oh, yeah, I know how this such and such mode, it's identical to this mode. It might be similar to one of the other modes that you would have on one or the other, but I don't think they're going to be identical. The reason it is, I mean, everybody, I think this is common knowledge, but the reason that it is such a cost savings and we want pinball companies to do well. I want there to be, we know in almost every manufacturing sense, if there is more companies doing well, that means there's better competition. And better competition is always good for the end user. And us pinball nerds are the end users. Whether you're mostly a tournament player, you just like to go on location and knock the pinball around a lot. Or you have a home collection or you're someone who's both. I mean, many of the top pinball nerds have a home collection and like to play in tournaments and like to just go to random arcades and knock the ball around. So for all of us, it is better for a pinball company to thrive. I understand that there is some negatives to having two modules that have the identical same shots, because if you're really good at doing some shots in one, you're probably going to be really good at doing at least the static shots in the other. But if you were going to have one playfield that kind of duplicated itself, you would want it to be the one with the big wheel because the big wheel can be implemented so different in so many modes as well as that big wall that P3 has there in the middle as well as the playfield changing. Like P3 is the perfect system for Multimorphic to do two-in-ones and when they do a two-in-one, they're splitting the cost. And when you're a boutique company that's that small and you're ordering in maybe just a couple hundred, to be able to stretch an order double or even 40-50% more, wow, you're going to see a massive cost savings. So it would be really easy for me to come on here and say, oh, I can't believe there's two machines. Would I want Stern to do this? Probably not. We already all know that Spooky did it. When Spooky did it, there was different rules on each. There was a couple mechs that were slightly different. I think it was fine when Spooky did it. It's not my favorite thing to be done, but I think in this particular case, it's significantly different, especially because of the implementation. The code and the rules of the big wheel at the bottom can drastically change the gameplay and the modes in the game. We're seeing the lighting is very different, how the lighting is implemented. It sounds like they have completely different people on rules. So therefore, I would have to imagine, like I think it's Wesley's on the one and Colin on the other. We'd have to imagine that those are going to be different enough as well.

    So I just wanted to come on and do a pretty quick show for you guys. Oh, of course. What are the chances of that? That's okay. That is actually my son calling to say hello. So we will call him back in a minute. But shout out to Hey Dude. Thanks for coming here all the way from Alberta. Without giving too much information, my son did a career searcher. He's going to be looking into becoming a mechanic now. Well, not looking into it. He actually got hired as like a mechanics assistant. I don't know, entry level. And so he got hired at this really cool place that they're like a dealership for quad runners, side-by-sides, golf carts, maybe, Sidoos or like Seadoos, the ones that go on water. I think they're all called jet skis. And then Skidoos, which are like, you know, like you ride on the snow. I don't know, sleds. Some people call them sleds. Depends what part of Canada or the U.S. you're in. But basically he works at one of these shops that when they get in a brand new one, he might have to top up the fluids or completely put them in depending on what's going on. He has to change them all over from miles to kilometers when they're coming here. He has to change the factory settings over. He gets to go for a rip and test drive them. And he is enjoying his job like 20 times more than his job when he was a Canada Post delivery person So anyways shout out to Hayden He did a career switcheroo but he wanted to come here last minute and visit us for a week before he started his new job not knowing with a new job how long it would be until he could take time off So I was so happy, you know, as much as I wanted to go to Expo this year, this probably won't cost me. Hold on one second. Here we go. A little multimorphic moment for you. Yeah. He wanted to come. For me to be a dad, I said, if you pay to get here, I will pay for everything while you're down. So the whole time he was down, we paid for his meals. We paid for his gas. We took him out places. He offered to pay for a whole bunch of stuff on his own, and we tried not to let him the best we could. But I had a great time with him here. Just didn't leave me a whole bunch of money to go on a lot of pinball trips this year. And that's completely okay, because more importantly than me getting to go on a pinball trip was getting to spend time with my family. Like if you're a dad and you don't get to have all of your children in the same house and celebrating like Christmas, we like we missed Christmas together. We missed Easter. We missed Mother's Day, Father's Day, birthdays, funerals, everything. Right. So we had to kind of catch up on all that in 10 days and we did our best to. And I'll be honest, there's probably some dads out there who don't get to spend as much quality time with their sons, maybe even a whole over a whole summer as I got to in just the 10 days. So it was really nice to catch up with him, but our finances are a little bit tapped out. And that's why I wanted to give a special thanks to Mr. Anthony Verdesco, also known as Tony, in the chat.

I think that right now it's going to tip the scale towards people wanting to go grab themselves a P3 because Multimorphic is having their moment. It is now. Screw Multimorphic Monday. This is Multimorphic's moment. This is their moment in time. We're seeing them get out with greater distribution. We're also seeing that, you know, especially for in comparison to like, you know, when you just had the top of the line Sonic come out for 15K, you could buy two Enders games. I think you could buy almost four Enders games or you could buy two Enders games and you could buy two Dungeon Crawler Carl or two, sorry, a Dungeon Crawler Carl and two Enders games plus still have money left over for the same price as one Sonic. And I'm sorry, but to me personally, you know, zero to ten, Steve Ritchie's Sonic, you know, how much does it immerse you in the Sonic world? I don't know, a five out of ten, a six out of ten, it's pretty good, it's pretty decent, it's pretty, you know, it's decent, it's got that little loop-de-loop on the side there, sorry, just loop because it doesn't go to another loop, so it can't be a loop-de-loop. But, you know, it's got that little tiny loop thing there on the side, little tiny ring thing.

    I mean, when the big bad guy comes out, Dr. Robotnik or whatever I'm supposed to call him now comes out. Sure, that is really, that's a really cool mech and it does interact and that does make it very thematrical. But how often is he out? Maybe a quarter of the time or less. The rest of the time, do you really feel like you're Sonic in there? I don't know, kind of. When he hits that hurry up ramp on the right, I guess, you know, there is some stuff there. I'm not saying there's not, but it sounds to me like did Steve Ritchie knock it out of the park with Sonic? I don't know. It's more like an in-park home run. I'm sorry, Steve. It's more like an in-park home run. You know what I mean? Like, yeah, you hit that back wall. It's good. It's really good. But I would assume now, do I think there's any world where Dungeon Crawler Carl sells more than Sonic? Probably not. You know why? Because you don't need to own a P3 to go buy a Sonic, right? It's just a standalone pin. But number one, I think this, everybody who was like, ooh, Portal was really, really cool. I loved the mechs. From an engineering standpoint, Portal is arguably the most advanced engineered pinball machine that we've ever made, ever. And now we're seeing this with Dungeon Crawler Carl and Ender's Game, and I think they've – I don't know if they've topped that, but it seems almost as impressive everything that's going on up there. And from a thematrical standpoint, I have – I'm way more into Dungeon Crawler Carl than I will ever be Portal, right? And I think the fan base for DCC is so much more huge nowadays, like the story of what is Dungeon Crawler Carl than they ever will be for Portal. But Portal is still an excellent game, but Portal wasn't so good I actually realistically thought. In eight or nine months from now when my wife and I go to literally sell the farm and I get to have Orbeez Arcade back again, and I have 20 to 40 grand depending on how much we get for the house and how much the next house is, To spend on a couple of pinball machines, am I going to even consider a P3 Multimorphic? Probably Porter wasn't enough to balance the scales at direction. But I will say this, Ender's Game, and not just because Glenn's in it, but Ender's Game, and for sure, Dungeon Crawler Carl has made it so I would have to have one. Especially with my wife and I selling the homestead and moving into a much smaller bungalow or one-level house, even possibly a larger, nicer, newer module with not a lot of stuff to work on.

    I might have room for, say, three to five pins max in my arcade. If I knew that one of them, like the same space that one pinball machine takes up, you can get, what, eight, ten, twelve modules? So I could own every single solitary P3 game for the space that I would be able to store one game. And guess what? You do have to store all your pinball machines in your arcade if you're me and your wife says I don't want pinball in more than one room. Totally fair enough. But you wouldn't have to store all your modules. Your modules could be stored in a storage room. Your modules could be stored in your attic. Your modules could be stored wherever. They don't have to be in that room. So they're not really taking up the place of a full pinball machine anyways. But my point is if I can only have three to four pins, wouldn't I love the fact that if I've kind of got sick of playing the other two, three or four pins, I could just walk over there and go, but wait, I've got access to what, 25, 30 different pins on my Multimorphic? On any given night, I can go play any of them at any time. Like that's incredible. And Multimorphic has now got to the point that it's not only worthwhile, I think you're going to see them more places. I want to see them being operated and out in the public, out in the wild, so to speak, more often. That would be great.
